2025 Hero Splendor Plus Spied Ahead Of Launch – What’s New?

2025 Hero Splendor SpiedWhile major updates are unlikely, it is possible that Hero could introduce some new colour options with the OBD-2B-compliant Splendor+
With more than 4 crore units sold, Hero Splendor Plus is the world’s No 1 motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp has introduced updates at regular intervals including new colours and special editions. A new test vehicle was recently spotted, fueling speculation about potential upgrades. Let’s explore what Hero could be planning for its top selling two-wheeler.
    2025 Hero Splendor+ – OBD-2B compliance
In line with the stricter emission norms, Hero Splendor+ will be updated to comply with the OBD-2B standards. This is part of the Bharat Stage 6 (BS6) Phase 2 emission norms. Under OBD-2B, vehicles are required to continuously monitor emissions via advanced onboard diagnostics. If any emission related issue is detected, a malfunction indicator lamp lights up on the dashboard.
Various parts and systems are monitored such as oxygen sensors, catalytic converter, fuel system, misfire detection, etc. Other OEMs such as Honda and TVS have already updated several of their two-wheelers to comply with OBD-2B emission norms.
Talking about Splendor+, the upgrade to OBD-2B standards is unlikely to result in any change in the bike’s performance. Equipped with a 97.2 cc, air cooled, single cylinder engine, Hero Splendor+ generates 8.02 PS and 8.05 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

    2025 Hero Splendor+ – New features?
Based on the test vehicle spotted near Jaipur, most of the features appear to be the same as the current model. There could be a possibility of new colours, but the spy shots do not provide a clear view. The graphics on the side panels do seem a little different in comparison to that of the current model. It appears that Hero could be aiming for a more refined aesthetics for the 2025 Splendor+.
Hardware specs will remain the same for 2025 Hero Splendor Plus. The bike utilizes a tubular double cradle frame, with telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable dual rear shock absorbers. Both ends have 18-inch wheels, wrapped in 80/100 tubeless tyres.
Braking setup comprises 130 mm drum brakes at front and rear with integrated braking system. Splendor+ is preferred for its compact and agile characteristics. The bike weighs 112 kg and has a ground clearance of 165 mm.

    Splendor+ variants, colours, pricing
Base variant of Hero Splendor+ is available at a starting price of Rs 77,176. Colour options include Black Grey Stripe, Force Silver, Sports Red Black, Black Red Purple and Blue Black. Splendor+ i3S (Idle stop-start system) variant is available at a starting price of Rs 78,426. Colour options are the same as the base variant. At the same price of Rs 78,426, users can choose the all-black variant. This colour option ensures a sportier profile and enhances the bike’s road presence.
Another captivating colour option for Splendor+ is Matt Axis Grey (Splendor+ 01 Edition). This variant is probably the best-looking version of Splendor+ currently available. The matte grey colour ensures a more premium look. This variant also gets distinctive graphics on the headlamp cowl, fuel tank and side panels. Splendor+ 01 Edition is available at a starting price of Rs 79,926.

Hero Karizma 210 Sales 0 Last 3 Months – Discontinued Ahead of Karizma 250 Launch?

Hero Karizma XMR 210Hero MotoCorp launched the Karizma XMR 210 in India on 29 August 2023 for an introductory price of Rs 1.73 lakh (Ex-sh). Fast forwarding to the fag end of March 2025, Karizma XMR 210 is facing dwindling sales. Is this model discontinued ahead of Karizma XMR 250 launch or is it facing an identity crisis? Let’s take a closer look while analysing Karizma’s sales performance over the past year.
    Hero Karizma 210 Sales Analysis
Analysing Karizma XMR 210’s sales performance over the past year, we can see that the motorcycle averaged 739 units per month by selling 4,806 units. For context, Yamaha sold 1,06,605 units of R15 in the same period averaging 8,883 units. Despite the fact that R15 packs a smaller engine with less power and torque, while costing considerably more than Karizma XMR 210.
    Hero Karizma 210 Sales
If we dive into Karizma XMR 210’s sales, we can see that sales (in the past 12 months) peaked in March 2024 with 1,874 units with a steady decline in sales MoM, July 2024 being the only exception where there a small MoM gain. Sales tanked in October 2024 at 7 units, reduced to 4 units in November 2024 and then 0 sales in December 2024, January 2025 and February 2025.
    Hero Karizma 210 Sales
    Is it discontinued?
We say this because Karizma XMR 250 was showcased in November 2024 and Karizma XMR 210 witnessed 0 sales since then in three consecutive months – December 2024, January 2025 and February 2025. One quick check at Hero MotoCorp’s website reveals that Karizma XMR 210 is still listed under the Premia section.
    Hero Karizma Combat Edition Teased
The company had teased Karizma XMR 210 Combat Edition in January 2025 which packed better equipment and more features than standard model. However, it never launched. Further fueling the question whether Hero has dropped the ball and will only concentrate on Karizma XMR 250, moving forward.
    Karizma XMR 250
If this motorcycle is not discontinued, Hero MotoCorp might soon consider launching an update to Karizma XMR 210 to make it more appealing to prospective buyers. Some of these updated may be USD telescopic front forks and the new TFT cluster that we recently experienced with Xpulse 210 at the media drive event organised by Hero MotoCorp. Also, the company needs to rapidly expand its Premia dealerships to offer a premium experience for prospective Karizma buyers.
    Hero Karizma XMR 250
    Legacy of Karizma
On August 29 2023, Indian motorcycle market witnessed the revival of the iconic Karizma brand. Karizma has played a major role in positioning Hero MotoCorp as a manufacturer of supersport machines which could blaze the racetrack on fire and do long distance touring in one package.
    New Karizma XMR 250
At the EICMA Show 2024, Hero MotoCorp revealed Karizma XMR 250, which will take Karizma brand to new heights uplocking major performance gains with around 30 bhp and 25 Nm. While the Karizma XMR 250 is not launched yet, it seems to have impacted the sales of Karizma XMR 210 in a negative way. That, or Hero MotoCorp might have discontinued Karizma XMR 210 to make way for the 250.

Hero MotoCorp has recently expanded its product lineup with the launch of three new offerings – Xoom 125, Xtreme 250R, and Xpulse 210. These new models are strategically positioned to target different segments – the Xoom 125 caters to the sporty scooter segment, Xtreme 250R strengthens Hero’s presence in the premium performance motorcycle space, and the all-new Xpulse 210 enhances its off-road adventure portfolio. With these launches, Hero aims to appeal to a broader customer base and boost overall sales volumes in the coming months. More

2026 Hero Xpulse 421 Rendered Based On Leaked Patent – New Colours

Hero Xpulse 421 RenderedHero MotoCorp is taking great strides to expand its premium vehicle lineup. We recently saw the launch of Xoom 125, Xoom 160, Xtreme 250R and Xpulse 210. However, another anticipated launch from Hero MotoCorp is the Xpulse 421, whose design is already patented. Based on the leaked design patent, we have rendered what production-spec version of Hero Xpulse 421 could look like.
    Hero Xpulse 421 Rendered
Based on a new 421cc platform, Hero MotoCorp is formulating a new range of premium motorcycles. Xpulse 421 is likely to be the first of these vehicles to feature this engine. The company has patented the design of this motorcycle along with a bunch of individual parts and components that will go on this machine.
Hero Xpulse 421 Design Patent Leaked
Based on these designs, rendering artist Pratyush Rout has penned down his version of how upcoming Hero Xpulse 421 might look like. These renders are in multiple colours inspired from other Hero products. We have Blue, Grey, Red, Silver, Copper and White colours on Xpulse 421 and all of them get interesting triple-tone graphics as well.
In these renders, we can see a flat front fascia with a neatly integrated LED headlight setup along with a tall windscreen that should protect riders from wind blasts. This windshield is of clear type in our renders and is adjustable as well to accommodate riders of different height. We can see a semi-fairing that not only lends a muscular appeal, it has aerodynamic advantages.
    Hero Xpulse 421 Rendered
    Muscular Design
Our renders get sleek knuckle guards along with ORVMs mounted on the handlebar. A single-piece seat setup with a rear step has been confirmed by Hero’s design patents. Behind this seat, we have a sturdy luggage rack to accommodate a top box. Below the engine, these renders have a sturdy metallic bash plate to protect its underbelly.
    Hero Xpulse 421 Rendered
There’s only one exhaust on Xpulse 421 and it is an upswept unit, aiding in water wading and other outdoor activities. Componentry is premium on this motorcycle as it gets USD telescopic front forks and rear mono-shock which are fully adjustable, single petal disc brakes at either ends with dual-channel ABS, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels wrapped with dual-sport tyres.
    Features & Powertrain
While it can’t be seen in these renders, Hero Xpulse 421 will get a colour TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. It will support notification alerts, music control and navigation features. We also expect production-spec version to pack ride-by-wire-throttle, a slipper clutch and probably cruise control.
    Hero Xpulse 421 Rendered
Powertrain-wise, we don’t have concrete details. Speculations suggest it will be powered by a 421cc single-cylinder DOHC 4V/cyl liquid-cooled engine which is capable of generating around 45 bhp of peak power and 40 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. More

Hero Vida Z Spied Undisguised Ahead Of Launch

Hero Vida Z SpiedAt the 2024 EICMA Show, Hero MotorCorp made quite a spectacle by showcasing four new motorcycles. These were Hero Xtreme 250R, Xpulse 210, Xoom 160 and Vida Z global electric scooter. The company seems to have commenced testing of the Vida Z ahead of a proper launch. It has been spied for the first time. Let’s take a closer look.
    Hero Vida Z Spied Testing
India’s largest 2W manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, currently operates the V2 lineup of electric scooters under Vida brand. At 2024 EICMA Show, Hero showcased a handsome new electric scooter with global launch intentions. Called Vida Z, it is a sporty yet elegant electric mobility solution that packs a slightly different ethos than V2 lineup of electric scooters.
    Hero Vida Z
Currently, we get Vida V2 in three different variants – Vida V2 Lite, Vida V2 Plus and Vida V2 Pro. The effective Ex-sh prices of these variants are Rs 74,000, Rs 81,800 and Rs 1,15,300 respectively. Hero has not yet revealed launch timeline along with product positioning among their current crop of V2 electric scooters.
The recent spy shots show Vida Z without any camouflage in a lovely Yellow shade. When compared to the Vida Z scooter showcased at 2024 EICMA and 2025 Auto Expo, we can see that this test mule misses out on a couple of elements. For starters, the contrasting Orange accents are missing and so is its pillion backrest.
    Hero Vida Z Spied
Where design is concerned, Vida V2 takes aggression and sportiness a couple of notches above. In contrast, Vida Z takes a much more sober and elegant approach. At the unveiling, Vida by Hero MotoCorp had unveiled that this new electric scooter will be a global product and will be launched in major global markets like UK.
    What to expect?
LED projector headlights seem to be shared with Vida Z, but front apron is completely new and is devoid of any cuts and creases. Handlebar cowl and front mud guard gets dual tone effect of body colour and Black. LED tail lights, LED turn indicators, single-piece seat along with a touchscreen instrument cluster are notable elements.
    Hero Vida Z Spied
Apart from the few aforementioned differences, Vida Z test mule is almost identical to what the company showcased before. Looking at how close it appears to production, one can speculate that the launch might be around the corner. Vida Z is built on a modular platform that can accept battery packs between 2.2 kWh to 4.4 kWh.
These will be removable batteries that one can charge at their home or apartments. It will have a powerful electric motor that is either swingarm mounted or mid-mounted. We can expect decent range, features and storage provisions. Connectivity features will be abundant too and users will get to monitor various stats.

5 Things We Liked About Hero Xpulse 210 After Riding It

5 Things We Like About Hero Xpulse 210Off-road motorcycles have been a keen interest and obsession for Hero MotoCorp. After the split from Honda, Hero MotoCorp’s first ever offering was an off-roader in the form of Impulse. Xpulse is currently Hero’s ADV umbrella and the company just launched Xpulse 210 and it is a completely different animal than what Xpulse 200 4V is.
After riding Xpulse 210 at the national media ride event organised by Hero MotoCorp, we returned really impressed. It looks right, it rides right, it performs right and it packs the right amount of features and equipment making it the perfect do-it-all motorcycle money can buy around Rs 2 lakh (OTR). Here are the 5 things we liked about Hero Xpulse 210.
    Xpulse 210
    1. Design
From a distance, Hero Xpulse 210 still sticks to the Xpulse 200’s overall silhouette. However, it is an all new motorcycle in its entirety. For starters, All the body panels on Xpulse 210 along with its fuel tank are new. It looks significantly more substantial than Xpulse 200 and lends a muscular appeal.
We get tank shrouds this time around and the fuel tank is much taller than Xpulse 200’s. Headlight elements are slightly revised and we get much sleeker LED tail lights and LED turn indicators. Windshield is taller and exhaust is positioned slightly higher.?? The improved switchgear and TFT instrument cluster lend a modern and premium appeal.
    Xpulse 210 Ergonomics
    2. Comfort & Ergonomics
We rode the motorcycle at the media drive event for a little over 200 km and didn’t face any discomfort at all. The seat is new and it has better cushioning than Xpulse 200’s. It is plush while still offering decent support. Handlebar and footpegs are positioned such that the rider has the most optimum posture for long distance touring, which proves comfortable for city rides as well.
The ergonomics are spot on for a tall person like myself (182 cm tall) and I didn’t face any fatigue in my shoulders, neck, back, legs, knees, wrists and ankles. Pillion comfort is well taken care of too. There are chunky grab rails for pillion and the stepped seating ensures minimal discomfort even after long rides.
    Xpulse 210 Engine
    3. Powertrain & Performance
For the first time around, a Hero Xpulse motorcycle has received a liquid-cooled engine with a DOHC head. It is significantly smoother and vibe-free than Xpulse 200 4V. The new engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox for the first time on an Xpulse. The peak performance metrics of this engine is now 24.2 bhp at 9,250 RPM and 20.7 Nm at 7,250 RPM.
Acceleration is brisk and it reaches triple digit speeds with a sense of urgency. Xpulse 210 also holds triple digit speeds quite well and is a solid tourer if you want to do 120 km/h for a long distance. There are fewer vibrations at these speeds and they get more pronounced as the speeds increase. Heat management is well executed too and the bike does not heat up unnecessarily and the fan kicks in when the engine needs cooling.
    Xpulse 210 Suspension
    4. Ride & Dynamics
If you observe closely, Xpulse 210 is positioned on a brand new chassis which is significantly more agile and sharp. The front forks are 41mm RSU telescopic units that are fatter than Xpulse 200’s. Rear suspension linkage on Xpulse 210 is very sophisticated too. Suspension travel is 210 mm at the front and 205 mm at the rear, up from Xpulse 200’s 190 mm and 170 mm respectively.
Xpulse 200 already had excellent and robust ride quality and Xpulse 210 takes it to a new level. It is more absorbent and makes light work of bad road and no road situations. What surprised us the most was the way Xpulse 210 handles and attacks corners. It has agility now which one doesn’t usually associate with a bike donning 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels. Braking has improved significantly as well as Hero is offering dual-channel ABS for the first time on an Xpulse.
    Xpulse 210 TFT Cluster Screen
    5. Features & Equipment
Xpulse 210 is packed to the brim with features. It is the first Hero MotoCorp motorcycle to feature a fancy TFT instrument screen which is 4.2-inch in size. It is bright and is legible even under direct sunlight. It has day and night modes and even an auto mode that switches between them depending on the ambient light. The same sensor is also used for auto headlight feature as well.
With Bluetooth connectivity, Xpulse 210 can show notifications and offers music control and navigation. Below this cluster, we get a USB Type-A port. The switchgear quality has been improved too and it feels like a premium product. Also contributing to that effect is the LED lighting around the motorcycle.
    Xpulse 210 Switchgear
    Should you buy one?
Many prospective buyers might feel that Hero should have opted for the new 250cc engine rather than this 210cc engine. However, we think the new 250cc engine is slightly vibey at higher speeds which wouldn’t feel at home on a tourer. Also hitting the right price point while keeping the weight down are crucial for the success of this product. In that regard, Xpulse 210 fits the bill perfectly and we think it makes more sense than an Xpulse 250. More

Hero Xpulse 210 First Ride Review – From Good To Better

Hero Xpulse 210 First Ride ReviewEver since Hero MotoCorp was coined after the split with Honda, the company has been a stalwart in the off-road genre. The torch of the mighty Impulse was taken over by Xpulse 200 and has received multiple updates after it was first launched. Now, Hero has just launched Xpulse 210, which is the most advanced and the most tech-loaded iteration of Xpulse brand yet.
We got to sample this motorcycle at the national media drive event in Udaipur, Rajasthan, organised by Hero MotoCorp. After riding Xpulse 210 across varied terrains and off-road sessions, here’s what we think about Hero MotoCorp’s latest off-roader.
Hero Xpulse 210 First Ride Review – Design & Appearance
World’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, launched Xpulse 210 at the prestigious Auto Expo 2025. There are two variants of Xpulse 210 conveniently named Base & Top. Prices start from Rs 1.76 lakh (Ex-sh) for Base and Top costs Rs 1.86 lakh (Ex-sh). Top is the feature-loaded variant that gets all the bells and whistles.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Design
There are four colours on offer with Xpulse 210 – Wild Red and Glacier White colourways with Base and Azure Blue and Alpine Silver colourways with Top. At the media drive event, Hero provided Rushlane an Xpulse 210 in Alpine Silver colourway. While it looks nice, I personally think Glacier White should be offered with Top variant for that clean aesthetic.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Design
The company had showcased a more off-road version of Xpulse 210 at Auto Expo 2025, which will launch later. There’s a good probability that it will be launched only with Base variant. When compared to Xpulse 200, Xpulse 210 looks like an entirely different motorcycle, while still rocking that quintessential enduro bike look.
Hero Xpulse 210 Muscular Fuel Tank
Xpulse 210 looks a lot more muscular and beefy than Xpulse 200 4V, which is a good thing. It has significantly better road presence and the primary contributor towards this effect is the new fuel tank. It is taller and a lot wider thanks to the new tank shrouds. It almost looks like there is a semi fairing with Xpulse 210, which is not the case.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Lighting
There’s a new front windshield which is taller and works quite well deflecting wind off riders even at highway speeds. Seat is a single-piece unit which is scooped out to offer a lower seat height and pillion area gets a slight step. The knuckle guards look better on Xpulse 210 and handlebar gets revised switchgear, especially with Top variant.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Design
Rear section is a lot sharper in design with Xpulse 210 and exhaust is now set a little higher than on Xpulse 200. There’s LED lighting all around with Xpulse 210 in the form of LED headlights, LED tail lights and LED turn indicators. Sturdy rear luggage rack, revised front beak, and the 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster are notable elements.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Engine
    Specs & Hardware
An untrained eye might think that Xpulse 210 is just an Xpulse 200 4V with the heart of Karizma XMR 210. That is not the case as Xpulse 210 is a completely different animal altogether. It is positioned on a different chassis featuring revised geometry and dynamics. Comparing the Base variant of Xpulse 200 4V with Xpulse 210, we can see that the newer bike is 32 mm longer and 10 mm wider.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Exhaust
It also features a 19 mm longer wheelbase and seat height with standard variants (non Pro) is also increased by 5 mm. Ground clearance is the same 220 mm with standard versions of Xpulse 200 and Xpulse 210. Weight has gone up with Xpulse 210 as well and top-spec Top variant weighs in at 170 kg now. The 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels are a tried and tested combination. There are disc brakes at both ends and for the first time, Xpulse 210 got dual-channel ABS.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Tyres
Xpulse 210 features the same 210cc engine as Karizma XMR 210, but is worked on to suit the character of Xpulse 210. For the very first time, an Xpulse is packing a liquid-cooled engine, a DOHC head, a slip and assist clutch, a 6-speed gearbox, dual-channel ABS which is switchable to unlock some fun and a TFT instrument cluster, among others. This TFT cluster is the most sophisticated Hero ever offered in its portfolio and it features music control, app connectivity and turn by turn navigation.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Brakes
The 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC 4V/cylinder engine on Xpulse is tuned to develop a peak power of 24.6 PS at 9,250 RPM and 20.7 Nm of peak torque at 7,250 RPM and is mated to a slip and assist clutch along with a 6-speed gearbox. Ergonomics & Dynamics
Xpulse 210 does an excellent job in containing the heat and dissipating it away from the rider as well. Rider is seated high and gets a commanding seating posture. I am a 182 cm tall individual and I could easily flat foot on both sides without any issues. Rider’s triangle is very relaxed and it did not induce any fatigue while seated on the pillion seat or standing. The footpegs are slightly forward set and offer a lot of comfort for highway rides.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Footpegs
When standing and riding, Xpulse 210 offers optimum leverage for riders to grip it between their thighs. Xpulse 210 handles these speeds like a champ without breaking a sweat. This engine is tuned to achieve an optimum balance between tractability and effortless power delivery. Maintaining speeds of around 120 km/h on the highway is no problemo for Xpulse 210, thanks to the new engine and the added 6th gear. This motor does not hiccup even if you short shift and keep it at a higher gear than what is necessary.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Ergonomics
There are far less vibrations on this engine, especially when compared to the one seen on Xtreme 250R. So, in a way, we kinda welcome Hero’s move to offer this 210cc engine on Xpulse 210 which is more suited for intended long distance touring. There are multiple luggage mounting provisions and there is a metal bash plate to protect the bike’s underbelly.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Switchgear
Acceleration is quite brisk and Xpulse 210 gains speeds quite effortlessly. The revised geometry and the upgraded suspension setup ensures that Xpulse 210 is the best handling off-roader / enduro motorcycle Hero has ever launched. It is surprisingly agile and takes on corners with great ease, offering a great deal of confidence to riders, encouraging them to carry higher speeds into corners. Braking is quite sure-footed as well and is par for the performance ceiling that this motorcycle offers.

The bike that can do it all?
Around Rs 2 lakh OTR is a compelling proposition for a one motorcycle that does it all. Xpulse 200 was the closest motorcycle to this concept, which was limited by highway cruising capability. Xpulse 210 fixes that and brings multiple new features and technology to the off-road genre at prices that rival brands are not even trying.

It looks better, rides better, performs significantly better, brakes better, packs better technology and meets all the requirements to be the only bike in your garage at around Rs 2 lakh (OTR) price point. However, that’s not the whole story. If there is one motorcycle that the OEM has continually updated and still kept loyalists wanting for more, it has to be Hero’s Xpulse.
    Hero Xpulse 210 USB Port
Ever since it was first introduced, Hero has updated it multiple times. First, we got BS6 update, then we got the 4V update and then we got MY23 Xpulse 200 4V with updated switchgear and it introduced a Pro variant which offered factory-fitted Rally Kit contents for affordable prices.
    Hero Xpulse 210
Despite the periodic updates, Hero didn’t quite capture the market and Xpulse brand never took off smashing sales charts. With the Xpulse 210, the same commotion exists as many prospective buyers might crave Hero’s new 250cc engine (debuted on Xtreme 250R) on this motorcycle or wish for the more off-road friendly Rally variant to be a available at launch. Instead of thinking what this bike could have been, we have to look at what it currently is.

What it is, is the jack of all trades. It does everything right and there is not a single element which is missing or wrong on this motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp has hit it out of the park with Xpulse 210 where packaging is concerned. It could be the finest motorcycle around the Rs 2 lakh OTR mark that does it all – City commutes, Highway cruising and Off-roading.
    Hero Xpulse 210 Wire-spoke Wheels
Hero Xpulse 210 is a lot more premium than what Xpulse 200 could have ever dreamt of and has significantly improved in terms of performance and dynamics. After finessing it with multiple iterations and updates, Hero MotoCorp has finally cracked the formula and this can easily be that one motorcycle around Rs 2 lakh OTR price point that can do it all.
