Regardless, Hero has achieved just that and is now shifting the gaze from budget commuters, to motorcycles higher up the price range. A premium dealer lineup like Maruti’s Nexa is in the pipeline as well, with more than 100 outlets planned in 2024.Collectively, Hero seems to be making a lot of efforts towards premium bikes, especially when the launch of Karizma XMR 210 is this close. The latest teaser for Karizma XMR 210 shows some design attributes and launch date, which is set on 29th August, 2023. Karizma XMR could be the embodiment of ‘Hero’s are remembered, but legends never die’.New Hero Karizma LED SignatureLatest Hero Karizma XMR TeaserThe company used #LiveTheLegend in the teaser, which is likely to be the new tagline for Karizma XMR 210. For context, OG Karizma R and Karizma ZMR had ‘Jet Set Go’ and ‘Above All’ as their taglines. Hrithik Roshan advertised for both Karizma R and Karizma ZMR. So, Hero has naturally chosen Hrithik Roshan as a promoter for Karizma XMR 210.The Bollywood star is also pushing some content on his social media handles regarding this upcoming motorcycle. This new teaser doesn’t show a lot of details. It is quite short and only highlights some of the bike’s LED headlight. Earlier we got to see its sharp and aggressive fuel tank and 3D metallic Karizma badging that indicate sophistication. The leaked image from a recent dealer showcase shows a lot more details, without any camouflage. A previous teaser reflected the same, highlighting the bike’s side profile. We can see some of the bike’s componentry. Like the front suspension setup is RSU telescopic, there are petal discs for braking with better heat dissipation, stylish alloy wheels and more. All these components will be on-board a new tubular chassis that should strike the right balance between lightness and rigidity. Trellis or diamond type, only launch will reveal. Speaking of, Hero will launch it on 29th August 2023 and will be on offer as the brand’s flagship. The best fully-faired bike of its class?Even though specs are under wraps, we can see a liquid cooling setup with this brand-new 210cc engine. Considering there are two channels going to the head in patents, we can expect a DOHC setup too. Rumour mill suggests possibility of a 6-speed gearbox. Because rivals get it, dual-channel ABS could be a possibility as well.Just like Xtreme 160R 4V, we can expect Karizma XMR 210 Pro in the future with USD forks. In recent spy shots, we can see a larger instrument screen and improved switchgear as well. Power figures could be in the range of 25 bhp and 30 Nm, pitting it against Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and its KTM counterpart RC 200. Pricing could be below Pulsar RS 200 at around Rs. 1.6 lakh (ex-sh). Hero Glamour XTEC DR 125 Homologated – New DR, DS Variants

Hero Glamour XTECNewly homologated Hero Glamour XTEC DR, Glamour DR and Glamour DS are likely to launch in the coming monthsIf there is an award for having the most confusing portfolio of motorcycles and scooters, Hero MotoCorp has a good probability of winning it. Company calls them Glamour DR and Glamour DS. Base vehicle for these new variations is the yet-to-be-launched Glamour XTEC DR. These new homologated products have different dimensions than existing Glamour.New Hero Glamour XTEC 125 HomologatedAs of now, it is not clear whether base Glamour XTEC DR with different dimensions as the outgoing Glamour line is a new product line or not. If it is, then the change in dimensions is self-explanatory. But type approval documents refer to these as variant no. 6 and variant no. 7 of upcoming base Glamour XTEC DR. Currently there are three Glamour variants on offer. These are Glamour, Glamour Canvas and Glamour XTEC.Glamour is the base non-flashy ‘model’, Glamour Canvas gets LED headlights, side stand cutoff and exclusive colours and Glamour XTEC is the top-spec with fully-digital instrument cluster from Xpulse line and XTEC suite of connected features. All three variants measure differently than current Glamour models. They don’t have XTEC in their name, which ‘base model’ Glamour XTEC DR has. As excitement builds for the imminent launch of the revamped Hero Karizma, Hrithik Roshan took to social media to stoke the fires of nostalgia and anticipation among fans.Bollywood actor shared a tantalizing snippet from the original ad on his Instagram account. Relive the Cap-Lift with #LiveTheLegend and tag @heromotocorp. Get ready for a legendary surprise!” With these words, Roshan not only transported his followers back to the iconic cap flip but also offered a tantalizing glimpse into the thrilling prospects of the upcoming Hero Karizma.Hrithik Roshan Teases New Hero KarizmaThe original advertisement featured Hrithik Roshan engaging a gang of bikers in a captivating Western-inspired backdrop. The scene played out with Roshan in hot pursuit, overtaking the miscreants who had tarnished the Karizma with mud.As the bike’s power was unleashed, the wind transformed the mud into a spectacle, enveloping the bikers in a dynamic display of velocity and agility. This captivating sequence harmoniously resonated with the campaign’s tagline, “Now you can ‘Jet Set Go’ and experience the ride of a lifetime.”[embedded content]Hrithik Roshan’s association with Hero Honda Karizma commenced in 2003 when he was appointed as the brand ambassador. This period marked a pivotal juncture in the premium motorcycle segment, characterized by a fusion of speed and aesthetics. The advent of Karizma tapped into an unexplored niche in the Indian market, catering to the 200-250 cc segment.Hrithik Roshan teases the new Karisma launch dateSubsequently, the Karizma line diversified, introducing the Karizma R variant in 2007. This iteration also found favour, contributing to the brand’s ascending prominence. However, the trajectory of Karizma’s fortunes shifted following the disentanglement of Hero and Honda in 2011. While Hero retained the Karizma brand and introduced the Karizma ZMR variant, sales of this model failed to mirror the triumphs of its 2003 predecessor. Gradually, sales dwindled, culminating in a regrettable cessation of sales in 2019.However, this isn’t the end of the narrative. Hints dropped by Hrithik Roshan and Hero MotoCorp point towards a remarkable resurgence of the iconic Karizma. Hero Karizma XMR 210 Switchgear – Digital Instrument Screen Spied

Hero Karizma XMR 210 SwitchgearHero Karizma’s latest spy shots reveal D-pad like buttons on left switchgear, that could control the larger instrument screenAfter conquering the budget commuter segment with Splendor, Passion, HF and Glamour range of motorcycles, Hero seems to be eying the premium segment. We’re talking about the company’s portfolio 160cc and above, which has seen lower sales. Now, Hero intends to change that with a combination of new launches. We saw Xpulse 200T 4V, Xtreme 160R 4V, Xtreme 200S 4V, 2023 version of Xpulse 200 Pro and regular models as well. At the flagship end, we will see the Karizma XMR 210 fully-faired motorcycle. New info regarding this bike has surfaced. Let’s take a look.2023 Hero Karizma ZMRHero Karizma XMR 210 Switchgear & Instrument ScreenThe company’s quest to improve quality is evident with the recent updates. These include better switchgear than before, more thoughtful quality-of-life features and ironed-out smaller niggles. For example, 2023 Xpulse 200 4V featured ABS modes and better quality switchgear, while the instrument screen unit was identical to the preceding model. Karizma XMR 210 will feature a brand new instrument screen, which is a lot taller than before, yielding much greater screen real estate. The new spy shots show a larger screen, which could be squarish in its appearance. Bigger size screen would ensure logical assignment of various information. Being a flagship, it is likely to get Bluetooth connectivity along with turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts.New Hero Karizma DetailsIf it is a TFT screen, we could have real-time map data on the screen, instead of just basic turn suggestions. In the spy shots, we can see clip-on handlebars, fairing-mounted ORVMs, a decent windscreen, sleek LED turn indicators and brand-new switchgear. Are these D-pad buttons to control a TFT screen?Speaking of switchgear, the right module has a hazard light function and starter switch. But the left module shows a D-pad-like button that could potentially control various functions of the new instrument console. If these really are D-pad buttons, then the possibility of the new screen being a more advanced one increases considerably.Apart from that, Karizma XMR 210 will miss out on USD telescopic front forks, gets single petal disc setup at either end, LED lighting all around, sporty seating and ergonomics, a handsome fairing, alloy wheels and more. The engine gets liquid cooling and could feature 4 valves per cylinder too. SOHC setup is more likely than slightly complicated and heavy DOHC.Power figures could be near 25 bhp and 25 Nm. A 6-speed gearbox is likely as well. The new motorcycle will take on the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS200, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and others. New Karizma Launch is scheduled for 29th Aug 2023.Source More

Hero Xtreme 200S 4V Faired Motorcycle For Rs. 1.4 Lakh- The Long and Short of It

Hero Xtreme 200S 4VHero Xtreme 200S 4V: The True Jack of All Trades in Its Price Bracket – Rs. 1.3 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakhFaired Machines have always had a greater emotional connect with motorcyclists than naked ones. Fairing lends manufacturers more opportunity to showcase design prowess and depths of their design team’s imagination in attracting buyers. In India, there are multiple faired motorcycles at Rs. 1.3 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh (ex-sh) price point.Newest of this bunch is Hero Xtreme 200S 4V, which costs Rs. 1.41 lakh (ex-sh). Hero recently pulled the plug on older Xtreme 200S 2V model. Making newer 4V model, the only faired machine in its portfolio. But how does this faired motorcycle fare against other faired motorcycles in a similar price bracket? Let’s take a look.Hero Xtreme 200S 4VMost motorcycles in this list are semi-faired. Only Xtreme 200S 4V and Gixxer SF 150 sport full-fairing. You must be wondering what Honda CB200X is doing in this list. Because it is a faux ADV without any off-road prowess, it is basically a semi-faired motorcycle. Looks are subjective. If you ask me, CB200X is by far the most appealing. In terms of displacement, Bajaj Pulsar F250 has the biggest engine. Unsurprisingly, it is the most powerful potent too with 24.2 bhp and 21.5 Nm. Gixxer has the smallest engine and offers lowest numbers. In terms of engine configs, all of these boast a single overhead cam and only Xtreme 200S 4V has a 4V head.Hero Xtreme 200S 4V Vs Rivals – SpecsIt is surprising that Bajaj offers a 4V head with much older and smaller NS160, but newer N160 and bigger F250/N250 miss out on it. All motorcycles have a 5-speed gearbox. After discontinuation of Suzuki GS 150R, this price segment has never seen a 6-speed gearbox.Pulsar 220 is the oldest here and it shows with a double cradle chassis, twin rear shock absorbers and skinny tyres. Bajaj has a tubular chassis with F250 and all the other motorcycles in this comparo have a diamond frame. CB200X has fattest tyre combination among this bunch and has longest wheelbase too. Also, it is the only one with USD front telescopic forks.Bang for the Buck: Which is the most feature-loaded?Ground clearance is highest with CB200X, but by 2mm only. In this comparison, only the Pulsar F250 has dual-channel ABS. It has largest front disc too, while Gixxer SF 150 has largest rear disc. Flash value is highest with Honda CB200X as it has attractive golden USD front forks, all LED lighting and more.Hero Xtreme 200S 4V Vs Rivals – PricesCB200X’s LED turn indicators are not conventional. Instead, they are inside its knuckle guards, which is a nice touch. Pulsar F250 offers LED indicators too and is the only one to have LED projector headlight. Pulsar 220 has projector setup too, with halogen bulbs, though. Only the Xtreme 200S 4V and Gixxer SF 150 have Bluetooth connectivity with smartphone integration. This allows notification alert, turn-by-turn navigation and more. Weirdly, Hero doesn’t offer its optional Hero Connect telematics solution with Xtreme 200S 4V. Even the Pleasure+ scooter gets this add-on for Rs. 4,999. Also, none of these motorcycles get ride modes. If there was a TVS offering with full-fairing in this price bracket, it would definitely get ride modes.Sadly, that is not the case. Pricing-wise, Gixxer SF 150 starts from Rs. 1.35 lakh. But goes till Rs. 1.46 lakh if you want Bluetooth connectivity and fancy colours. Pulsar 220 costs Rs. 1.38 lakh and Xtreme 200S 4V commands Rs. 1.41 lakh and seems to be the jack of all trades considering pricing, features, and equipment. (All prices ex-sh).That said, Pulsar F250 is the best bet for performance-conscious buyers and is worth the additional Rs. 8,000 over Xtreme 200S 4V. If looks and design outweighs performance for you, Honda CB200X makes a lot of sense as it is the flashiest of this bunch. More
