TVS JupiterAnalysing the TVS Motor sales March 2024 charts, we can see that there was a MoM decline across all the entries, except for 3W Domestic salesOne of India’s leading 2W and 3W manufacturer, TVS Motor, posted an impressive 3,54,592 units total sales in the month of March 2024. The company garnered this sales number across multiple vehicle genres like motorcycles, scooters, e-scooters, mopeds and 3W-wheelers. While the company witnessed commendable YoY growth, there was a slight MoM decline as well.TVS Motor Sales March 2024Breaking the numbers further, we have motorcycles at the top and e-scooters at the bottom. With 1,71,611 motorcycles sold, this genre of vehicles took the top position with 49.82% of TVS’ total sales. Some of the most popular motorcycles from TVS include Apache range, Raider 125, Sport, Radeon, Ronin and more.When compared to the 1,41,250 units sold in March 2023 and the 1,84,023 units sold in February 2024, TVS motorcycles saw 21.49% YoY growth and 6.74% MoM decline. Volume growth YoY stood at 30,361 units and volume loss MoM was 12,412 units.In 2nd place, we have scooters with 38.17% of TVS’ total sales. Sales stood at 1,31,472 units last month and registered a 2.06% YoY growth over 1,28,817 units sold last year and a 0.51% MoM decline over 1,32,152 units sold a month before. Thus leading to volume growth of 2,655 units YoY and losing 680 units MoM. Leading scooters are Jupiter, Ntorq and iQube.TVS Motor Sales March 2024 – YoYWhen we say mopeds, it is the XL 100 range that sold 41,363 units and there was a 10.32% YoY growth and 0.65% MoM decline and accounted for 12% of company’s sales. iQube range of scooters sold 15,250 units and fell into the red completely with a 0.74% YoY decline and a substantial 15.08% MoM decline.Exports & 3W salesTVS sold 2,60,532 2W vehicles in the domestic market and accounted for 75.64% of company’s total 2W sales. 2W domestic sales saw 8.2% YoY growth and a 2.61% MoM decline. Exports took 24.36% of TVS’ total 2W sales with 83,914 units shipped last month and gained 25.66% in sales YoY, but also witnessed a 7.08% MoM decline.Total 2W sales were 3,44,446 units with 11.99% YoY growth as opposed to 3,07,559 units sold a year ago and a 3.73% MoM decline when compared to 3,57,810 units sold a month before. TVS’ 3W sales stood at 2,088 units in domestic market and 8,058 units shipped abroad. 3W domestic saw 56.4% YoY and 1.06% MoM growth, while 3W exports declined by 2.42% YoY and 5.73% MoM.TVS Motor Sales March 2024 – MoMIn total, TVS sold 10,146 3W vehicles in India with 5.76% YoY growth gaining 553 units in volume and 4.41% MoM decline losing 468 units in volume MoM. TVS’ total domestic sales (2W+3W) stood at 2,62,620 units and total exports (2W + 3W) was 91,972 units. When compared to total domestic sales growth of 5.76%, company’s total export growth of 22.57% was more notable.In total (2W + 3W), TVS managed to push 3,54,592 vehicles out of its manufacturing facilities across motorcycles, scooters and mopeds in both domestic and international business. 2024 TVS Apache 160 4VTVS Motor posted a near two fold increase in YoY exports in February 2024 while domestic sales improved by 21%TVS Motor Company has reported strong performance across both domestic and global sales in February 2024. Almost every model in the company’s portfolio has seen positive demand steering up total sales (domestic + exports) to 3,52,750 units in February 2024, up 86,875 units when compared to 2,65,875 units sold in February 2023. This related to a 24.62 percent YoY growth.TVS Motor Domestic Sales February 2024With Jupiter scooter being the best-selling model in the company portfolio in domestic markets and the Star City 125 grabbing most attention globally, the company now gears up to expand its electric vehicle portfolio beyond the  iQube. Two names, TVS XL EV and E-XL names have been registered, one of which will become the electric version of the ICE powered moped – XL 100. Once launched, the recently launched Kinetic e-Luna will be its sole competitor in this segment.TVS Motor Sales Breakup Feb 2024Domestic sales in February 2024 grew by 20.82 percent to 2,67,502 units, up from 2,21,402 units sold in February 2023. This was a 46,100 unit volume growth with most models showing off YoY growth. MoM sales however suffered a setback as TVS Motor sales in January 2024 had stood at 2,68,143 units.TVS Jupiter scooter topped sales charts last month. It was not only the best-selling model in the company portfolio but was also the 2nd best-selling scooter in India after the Honda Activa. Jupiter sales grew by 37.05 percent YoY to 73,860 units in February 2024, up from 52,891 units sold in February 2023 to command a 27.61 percent share on this list.TVS Motor Exports Breakup Feb 2024TVS Raider, a popular model in the 125cc segment, has also seen a 38.61 percent YoY growth to 42,063 units in the past month, up from 30,346 units sold in February 2023. It was followed by the XL moped with 41,059 unit sales last month, up from 35,346 units sold in February 2023. TVS Apache has seen a very marginal YoY de-growth by 0.98 percent to 34,593 units from 34,935 units sold in the same month last year.Sales of the Ntorq grew by 45.47 percent to 24,911 units while iQube sales improved by 1.74 percent to 15,792 units in February 2024. The domestic sales list also included the Sport (12,528 units), Radeon (12,337 units) and Zest (7,579 units). Relatively new entrant Ronin sales stood at 2,042 units while R310 sales were at 573 units, a 53.21 percent YoY growth from 374 units sold in February 2023. TVS Star City suffered a 95.54 percent YoY de-growth with just 165 units sold last month.TVS Exports Led by Star City 125 in February 2024TVS Exports grew nearly two fold in February 2024 to 87,248 units, up 96.20 percent from 44,470 units shipped in February 2023.  In global markets, it was Star City 125 along with Star City that amassed the highest sales and a combined share of 64.2 percent. Star City 125 exports went up to 38,137 units last month from 18,250 units shipped in February 2023 relating to a 108.97 percent YoY growth. Star City exports also climbed to 17,874 units, a 266.57 percent YoY growth over 4,876 units shipped in February 2023.Significant sales growth was also seen for the Apache (9,285 units), Sport (6,540 units) and Raider (5,982 units) while Jupiter exports dipped 13.03 percent to 4,647 units in the past month. TVS Ronin SCR Patented In IndiaThe same 220cc engine will be retained with TVS Ronin SCR with design changes transforming it into an off-road-oriented machineMid-2022, we saw TVS venturing into uncharted territories. We’re talking about Ronin and how the company pegged it to be the Jack of all trades. A motorcycle with a mix of Scrambler, Cruiser and a Street bike in one. Now, there is a new SCR version of the bike in the making and the company has trademarked design as well.TVS Ronin SCR PatentedWhere sales are concerned, Ronin is not a high-performing vehicle. TVS intends to change that by carving out an off-road version. When launched, it will take on the likes of upcoming Hero Xpulse 210 and Honda CB350X. Keen eyes would have spotted that this very motorcycle patented has already been showcased before.At TVS MotoSoul 2023 event, TVS collaborated with renowned custom motorcycle builders to showcase Musashi by Smoked Garage, Agonda by JVB Moto and Wakizashi by Rajputana Customs. However, we’re interested more in the 4th custom bike, TVS Ronin SCR, showcased by TVS Design Team.TVS Ronin Special EditionThere couldn’t be a better venue than TVS MotoSoul to showcase these special motorcycles. But of these four, only the Ronin SCR designed by TVS Design Team has been patented by the company. The demand for ADVs and Scramblers is increasing and TVS currently lacks one altogether.TVS Ronin SCRInstead of just making the motorcycle taller and launching a pseudo Scrambler, TVS seems to be cooking a real off-roader. Fuel tank and engine are the same as Ronin’s. Other than that, there is a major shift in the componentry. For starters, Ronin’s main identity, its headlight and ‘T’ LED signature, has been replaced with a much more stylish Colosseum Laser Tech LED.We don’t know if this laser-incorporated headlight displayed at TVS Motosoul will make it to production. Side body panels are custom and so is the seat. Speaking of, this is a custom leather-clad single-seater unit. Production-spec model might have space for a pillion.A large luggage rack is visible, hinting at its rugged and practical appeal. We can imagine upright and comfortable ergonomics and decent long-distance ability. TVS had showcased twin exhausts with an up-swept approach. Rear tail tidy is appealing and fully displays the rear tyre.TVS Ronin SCRThe USD forks are finished in Gold shade and the beak is large and imposing. TVS is offering wire-spoke rims shod with semi-knobby tyres, as opposed to alloy wheels with road-worthy tyres on Ronin. Wheel size looks like it is 19-inch front and 17-inch rear. We can see massive ground clearance too.Specs & FeaturesStandard Ronin comes equipped with a 220cc single-cylinder engine developing 19 PS of power and 17.55 Nm of torque. With a 1490mm wheelbase, Ronin offers good straight-line stability and cross-wind protection. This engine is suspended on USD forks at front and dual shock absorbers at the rear.[embedded content]Features include a TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, SMS notifications and more. TVS Apache RR 310 Miami BlueThe company showed a potent growth in exports, where 2W vehicles are concerned and expanding its global presence with new launchesIndia’s leading 2W and 3W manufacturer, TVS Motor, have been actively pushing its limits and expanding its lineup in India and abroad. The sales for the company have been rising and the same reflected in February 2024 sales charts as well. For TVS Motor, total sales (2W+3W) stood at 3,68,424 units.TVS Sales February 2024For the month of February 2024, TVS’ sales figures fell completely into the green. At least with the YoY analysis. There were quite a few segments where TVS faced a slight setback in MoM analysis. Motorcycles remained TVS’ highest selling genre with around 1,84,023 examples sold last month.Motorcycles saw 45.77% YoY growth as opposed to 1,26,243 units sold in February 2023 and when compared to 1,55,611 units sold in January 2024, there was an 18.26% MoM growth. For TVS, motorcycles accounted for 51.43% sales, up from 47.16% in January 2024. Volume growth for motorcycles stood at 57,780 units YoY and 28,412 units MoM.Next in line is Scooters with 1,32,152 units. TVS has upped the scooter game YoY with a 26.07% growth as opposed to 1,04,825 units a year ago. However, there was a negligible 0.10% MoM dip as the company sold 1,32,290 scooters a month before. Scooters accounted for 36.93% of TVS’ total sales. Volume gain stood at 27,327 units YoY.TVS Sales February 2024 – YoYThe company’s electric scooter lineup saw 17,959 units which registered 15.7% YoY growth and 10.34% MoM growth when compared to 15,522 units a year ago and 16,276 units a month before. Electric scooter business accounted for a 5.02% share, but there was a 2,437 units YoY and 1,683 units MoM volume gain.TVS is still the stalwart in mopeds and has aced this genre. With 41,635 mopeds sold, there was a 15.79% YoY growth and a 0.95% MoM decline. Volume gain YoY stood at 5,677 units YoY and volume loss MoM was 401 units. Mopeds account for 11.64% of TVS’ total sales. In domestic markets, TVS sold a total of 2,67,502 2W vehicles with 20.82% YoY growth and a 0.27% MoM decline.Where TVS’ exports are concerned, the company shipped 90,308 units with almost double the numbers YoY at 97.94% growth and 46.36% MoM growth. Volume gained in exports was 44,684 units YoY and 28,604 units MoM. Domestic sales accounted for 74.76% and exports 25.24% of TVS’ total 2W sales. Speaking of, TVS sold 3,57,810 2W vehicles last month with 34% YoY and 8.45% MoM growth.TVS exports saw a major boostTVS sold a total of 10,614 3W vehicles. Out of which, 2,066 units were sold in the domestic market and 8,548 units were shipped abroad with 19.46% and 80.54% shares respectively. There was a positive 16.33% YoY growth and a 10.84% MoM growth in 3W segment.The company’s total domestic sales (2W+3W) was 2,69,568 units which witnessed a healthy 21.02% YoY growth, but a negligible 0.22% MoM decline. Total exports stood at 98,856 units, which is 85.11% YoY growth and 42.56% MoM growth. In total, TVS pushed out 3,68,424 vehicles out of the manufacturing facilities and witnessed 33.41% YoY growth and 8.52% MoM growth. Total volume gain was 92,274 units YoY and 28,911 units MoM. More

It currently holds a 53.80 percent share on the company’s export list.Exports improved for the Apache by 184.61 percent, the highest percentage growth as compared to any other model on this list. Where 3W sales were concerned, the company has seen increased demand in domestic markets by 19.57 percent to 1,937 units up from 1,620 units sold in January 2023. However, 3W exports dipped by 13.04 percent YoY to 7,639 units in January 2024 as against 8,785 units sold in January 2023. Thus total 3W sales were in the red by 7.97 percent to 9,576 units in January 2024 from 10,405 units sold in January 2023.TVS total (2+3W) domestic sales grew by 23.88 percent to 2,70,170 units in the past month from 2,18,091 units sold in January 2023 while exports saw a 21.60 percent YoY growth to 69,343 units. This took total sales to 3,39,513 units relating to a 23.41 percent YoY growth.TVS Motor MoM Sales January 2024On a MoM basis, total sales (2+3W) (domestic + exports) grew by 12.46 percent from 3,01,898 units sold in December 2023. This was a volume growth of 37,615 units. Growth was seen both in terms of motorcycle and scooter sales. Motorcycle sales improved by 5.11 percent MoM to 1,55,611 units from 1,48,049 units sold in December 2023 while scooter sales were up 28.23 percent from 1,03,167 units sold in December 2023.
