    New TVS Jupiter 125 Teased
India’s 125cc scooter segment is going to heat up soon, with the launch of the new TVS Jupiter 125. Jupiter has been one of the strongest names in India’s scooter segment and it is the country’s second best-selling scooter brand after Activa by Honda. An update to Jupiter 125 will strengthen TVS’ position in the lucrative 125cc scooter segment.
    New TVS Jupiter 125 Teased
For the first time, TVS has teased Jupiter 125 on their social media handles. The caption read – Style. Power. Performance. Coming soon! This teaser only shows a single-piece seat along with its single piece rear pillion grab rail. Launch colour for TVS Jupiter 125 is likely to be a Copper shade, which can be seen in this teaser too.
Design wise, new TVS Jupiter 125 might borrow styling elements from its smaller sibling, Jupiter 110. We can expect those sleek horizontal LED DRLs and sleek LED turn indicators and LED tail lights to make their way on Jupiter 125. The 12-inch wheels, 220mm front petal disc brake, front fuel filler cap, large underseat storage from current Jupiter 125 will be carried over or improved upon.

It is likely to carry forward the same 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine to make its way on the new model. Without iGO Assist, this engine delivers 8 bhp and 10.5 Nm and with iGo Assist, it cranks out 8.44 bhp and 11.1 Nm, mated to a CVT.

2025 TVS iQube S and ST Launched – Bigger Battery, More Range

2025 TVS iQube S and STTVS Motor has been updating its iQube electric scooter lineup periodically to keep them relevant and boost sales at the same time. In that regard, we got to see the launch of 2025 TVS iQube S and ST variants in India with an updated powertrain that is aimed to offer more range for buyers. Let’s take a look at all the updates.
2025 TVS iQube S and ST
Ever since it was launched, TVS iQube has emerged as one of the best-selling electric scooters in India. Now that Ola Electric sales are crumbling down, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak have gained quite a bit of the market share. There are multiple trim levels of iQube and only the S and ST trims have been updated to MY25 version. Where design changes are concerned, we can see dual-tone seats, beige inner panels and a pillion backrest.
Starting with 2025 iQube S, the company has priced it at Rs 1.17 lakh (Effective Price, Delhi). Previously, it used to come equipped with a 3.3 kWh battery pack that was rated to deliver around 100 km of range on a single charge in the real world. The new 2025 iQube S gets a slightly larger 3.5 kWh battery pack and TVS is advertising it with an IDC range of 145 km on a single charge.
It continues to get a 7-inch TFT cluster with HMI integration and other features like 32L underseat storage, USB charging port, external charging socket, 118+ connected features, front disc brake, 78 km/h top speed, 0-40 km/h sprint in 4.2s, reverse mode, 12-inch tyres at both ends, LED lighting telematics, turn-by-turn navigation and more.
    2025 TVS iQube ST
    2025 iQube ST
The same 3.3 kWh to 3.5 kWh battery pack upgrade can also be seen with a smaller battery variant of the top-spec 2025 TVS iQube ST trim. However, 2025 iQube ST gets an upgrade to its larger battery variant where the 5.1 kWh battery pack has been replaced with a 5.3 kWh pack with a claimed IDC range of 212 km on a single charge. 2025 iQube ST 3.5 kWh costs Rs 1.28 lakh (Effective price) and 5.3 kWh variant costs 1.59 lakh (Effective price).
Being the top-spec iQube ST trim, it gets a host of features and technology on top of S trim. These include a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster that is a touchscreen, music control, voice assist with Alexa skillset and more. At 132 kg, it is slightly heavier than S trim and hence there is a slight drop in performance as it has a 0-40 km/h sprint of 4.5s.
In the Indian market, 2025 TVS iQube S and ST rival the likes of Ola S1 Pro and Pro+, Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida V2 Plus and V2 Pro, among others. With the larger batteries and more IDC-claimed range, the 2025 TVS iQube S and iQube ST are likely to attract more buyers than they did before.

New TVS Electric Scooter Below iQube – Launch By Sep 2025

New TVS Electric Scooter?TVS Motor Company, one of the top EV players in India, is gearing up to expand its electric scooter portfolio with an all-new budget-friendly model that will sit below the popular iQube. A report suggests that the new electric scooter is likely to be launched ahead of the festive season this year, targeting price-conscious buyers in India’s growing EV market.
Expected Pricing Around Rs 90,000 to Rs 1 Lakh
The TVS iQube, launched in 2020, has been a consistent performer in the electric two-wheeler space, regularly featuring among the top three in monthly EV sales. It is available in five variants with battery capacities ranging from 2.2kWh to 5.1kWh. The base iQube 2.2 is priced at around Rs 1 lakh, while the top-end variant comes close to Rs 2 lakh. The upcoming scooter is expected to undercut the iQube in terms of price, features, and battery size.
Given the increasing cost of components and the phased reduction in government subsidies, manufacturers are now focused on delivering competitively priced products. TVS’ upcoming e-scooter is likely to feature a simpler design with basic equipment and a smaller battery pack—potentially the same 2.2kWh unit or a new, more compact option. A hub-mounted motor, like the one sourced from Bosch for the iQube, is expected to be part of the package.
    Jupiter or XL Branding?
While there is no official word on the name yet, speculation suggests it could be positioned under the popular TVS Jupiter sub-brand. TVS is also developing a Jupiter CNG scooter, which is expected to launch later this year. If that happens, Jupiter will become India’s first two-wheeler nameplate to be available in petrol, CNG, and electric variants.
Another possibility is that the upcoming EV could be an electrified version of the iconic XL moped. TVS has filed patents for names like “XL EV” and “E-XL,” indicating that the new electric offering could also be a modern take on the widely popular XL100. The XL100 remains the most affordable ICE two-wheeler in the country, and its electric counterpart could carry forward that value-for-money legacy.
A Strong Push to Maintain Top 3 Spot in EV Sales
TVS is aiming to bring this scooter to market in time for the 2025 festive season, targeting the surge in demand during that period. Positioned around the Rs 90,000 to Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) range, this new electric scooter could play a crucial role in expanding the brand’s EV footprint while making electric mobility more accessible for a broader set of customers. More details are expected in the coming weeks.

TVS Ntorq 150 In The Works – Aerox 155, Xoom 160 Rival

TVS Ntorq. File Photo.Along with sporty styling similar to the existing 125cc model, TVS Ntorq 150 could potentially get a new 150cc liquid cooled engine
India’s scooter segment is dominated by 110cc and 125cc models, with bestsellers like Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Access and TVS Ntorq. However, there’s increasing demand for premium performance scooters as well. Offerings in this space include the Yamaha Aerox 155, Hero Xoom 160 and Aprilia 160cc models. Sensing an opportunity, TVS is also planning an entry in this space with Ntorq 150. Let’s check out the details.
TVS Ntorq 150 – What to expect?
With the Ntorq 150, TVS could be looking at a future-ready product that aligns with the brand’s long-term goals. As of now, volumes are relatively low in the premium scooter segment in comparison to the 110cc and 125cc segments. For example, Yamaha Aerox 155 contributes just around 4-5% of the brand’s overall sales. The percentage contribution of Xoom 160 is even lower for commuter-focused Hero MotoCorp.
However, the premium scooter segment is expected to witness increased demand in the coming years. With the Ntorq 150, TVS could be making its move at just the right time. The smaller sibling, Ntorq 125, is already a bestseller. In FY2025, Ntorq 125 was the 5th best selling scooter in the country with a market share of 5.31%. With a similar sporty profile, premium features and a peppy engine, Ntorq 150 could emerge as one of the favourites.
    TVS Ntorq 150 – liquid-cooled or air-cooled?
As rivals Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160 are equipped with liquid-cooled engines, TVS could follow a similar approach with Ntorq 150. An air-cooled engine would be affordable, but it may not meet user expectations of enhanced performance. Aprilia 160cc models come with air-cooled engines, but TVS may focus more on direct rivals like Aerox 155 and Xoom 160.
TVS currently does not have a liquid-cooled engine in the 150cc scooter segment. While developing a new engine from scratch may be costly, TVS could offset the expense by deploying it across future models. With expected increased demand in this space, multiple models may be needed to fulfil diverse user preferences.
While official details are not available, performance of Ntorq 150 could be at par or slightly better than that of rivals. Yamaha Aerox utilizes a 155cc, liquid cooled, SOHC engine that generates 15 PS and 13.9 Nm of torque. Hero Xoom 160 has a 156cc, liquid cooled engine that generates 14.6 PS and 14 Nm of torque.
    Design, features
TVS Ntorq 150 will have a sporty design, vibrant colours and sporty graphics. It is expected to get TVS SmartXonnect connectivity suite that has Bluetooth, navigation, called ID, last parked location assist and ride stats share feature. To enhance overall performance, Ntorq 150 could get 14-inch wheels. Single-channel ABS will be offered as standard.
It is expected that TVS Ntorq 150 will be introduced around the upcoming festive season. It could be launched at a starting price of approximately Rs 1.50 lakh. Rival Yamaha Aerox 155 is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh, whereas Hero Xoom 160 costs Rs 1.48 lakh.

TVS Confirms Norton Motorcycles India Launch By 2025 End

    Norton Motorcycles India Launch
Five years after TVS Motor acquired the iconic British motorcycle brand, Norton Motorcycles, the company has deemed it fit to finally launch it in India. The company has revealed an estimate time frame for Norton Motorcycles to launch in India to rival other retro classic motorcycle brands like Royal Enfield, Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Jawa and Yezdi among others.
    Norton Motorcycles India Launch
The iconic British motorcycle brand, Norton Motorcycles, has been a popular choice among buyers who are looking for a retro treat. Currently, the company offers three motorcycles – Commando 961, V4SV and V4CR. The prices for these motorcycles range from around Rs 20 lakh and Rs 50 lakh.
    Norton Commando 961
Norton Motorcycles was acquired by TVS Motor around five years ago and it has been a highly anticipated launch since this acquirement. Now, TVS Motor has confirmed that Norton Motorcycles will be introduced in India by the end of the year 2025. Probably via the CBU route, now that India-UK free trade agreement is expected to bring automotive tariffs from 100% to 10%, under a quota.
These three aforementioned motorcycles might launch initially through CBU route and serve as Halo products for Norton Motorcycles in India to set foot in the ground. These will be shipped into our market from the company’s facility in Solihull, UK. Soon, we should expect local manufacturing of smaller-capacity motorcycles to compete in the 350cc-450cc motorcycle segment.
    Norton V4CR
    What to expect?
Speculations suggest that Norton Motorcycles is branching out its operations and is developing two new platforms. One of these will displace around 450cc (probably a single-cylinder unit) which should act as its most affordable offering. Second motorcycle could be a middle-weight offering that might displace around 650cc (probably a twin-cylinder unit).
With the historic India-UK FTA (Free Trade Agreement), both nations are poised to boost trade and revenue. This FTA will benefit British automakers too as tariffs could be reduced to just 10% down from around 100%. While the small-capacity motorcycles look like a foggy future, the launch of Commando 961 or V4SV or V4CR or all or some by 2025 end is more likely.
    Norton V4SV
TVS Motor acquired Norton Motorcycles for around Rs 153 Cr, which looks like a relatively small sum in the grand scheme of things. There has been a significant investment of around Rs 1,000 Cr from TVS and the roadmap is set to launch six new motorcycles by 2027 end. More

Challenging this motorcycle is TVS Sport which offers a larger engine and associated performance and undercuts in pricing as well. With the 2025 Sport, TVS has launched a new variant to boost its appeal further.
    2025 TVS Sport Price List
Called Self Start ES+, this new variant is priced at Rs 60,881 (Ex-sh, Delhi). 2025 TVS Sport Self Start ES+ is slotted above Self Start (ES) Alloy Wheels variant priced at Rs 59,881 (Ex-sh, Delhi) and below Self Start (ELS) Alloy Wheels variant priced at Rs 71,785 (Ex-sh, Delhi). One can call Self Start ES+ a mid-variant between the other two.
2025 TVS Sport ES+ is offered in two colours and they stand out from other colourways offered with the remaining two variants. These include Grey Red and Black Neon. These colourways have nice finishes and minimalist graphics on fuel tank. Front headlight cowl and front mudguard are colour-coded too.
2025 TVS Sport ES+ Grey Red
Interestingly, ES+ is the only variant that gets a black pillion grab rail, while the other two variants get a Silver finish. One could say that ES+ is the sportiest version of TVS Sport commuter. ES+ is also the only variant in Sport’s lineup to get pinstriping on alloy wheels and these pinstriping are also colour-coded and not random, which is a nice touch.
    What does it get?
Components of TVS Sport are pretty basic, owing to its market positioning and price tag. It gets RSU telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Drum brakes are the only option to bring this motorcycle to a halt. There’s a 10L fuel tank and the kerb weight of this motorcycle is 112 kg and has a ground clearance of 175 mm.
2025 TVS Sport ES+ Black Neon
