Among the world’s leading scooter and motorcycle manufacturers, TVS Motor, just launched a new generation of their best-seller, Jupiter. With modern design and evolved ethos, 2024 TVS Jupiter now aims to create a greater impact on India’s scooter segment. The launch price of 2024 TVS Jupiter is Rs. 73,700 (Ex-sh) and there are multiple variants to choose from. Let’s take a look.
    2024 TVS Jupiter – What’s new?
The competition in India’s scooter market just reached a new stage with TVS making a bolder move against the segment leader, Honda Activa. Currently at No 2 position, TVS Jupiter has been a stalwart in India’s scooter segment with a significant impact on many Indian households. Come August 2024, there is a new generation of TVS Jupiter with a significant step into modernity.
    New TVS Jupiter
With the new 2024 TVS Jupiter, the company has sweetened the deal further, for Indian buyers. New generation model gets a new design, while still sticking to the classic family scooter silhouette. There is an air of modernity and sophistication with Jupiter, which was not seen with TVS family scooters.
    2024 TVS Jupiter Colours
TVS is offering multiple variants with 2024 Jupiter. Depending on the variants, TVS is offering 6 attractive colours – Meteor Red Gloss, Titanium Grey Matte, Lunar White Gloss, Starlight Blue Gloss, Galactic Copper Matte and Dawn Blue Matte. Among these colours, Dawn Blue Matte is the launch colour and TVS is pushing it with the 2024 Jupiter.
    New TVS Jupiter
The main attraction is the fascia where we can see sleeker headlights, this time around. There is a stylish, yet minimal front apron with a dash of gloss black plastics. TVS is offering sophisticated LED DRLs with seamless LED turn indicators. Even at the sides, there is a sense of modernity complemented by striking creases and definitions.
    New TVS Jupiter Variants
Similar seamless LED setup can be seen with the tail lights too. TVS is offering a long seat and top variants of 2024 TVS Jupiter get dual-tone stitching too. Also specific to top variants are the LED DRLs and LED turn indicators along with alloy wheels, front disc brake setup and a fully digital instrument cluster.
    New TVS Jupiter
    Practicality and Performance
TVS is promising a practical and versatile offering with 2024 Jupiter. In this regard, TVS is offering a decently large flat floorboard that houses the fuel tank, a forward-set fuel filler for convenience, a small pocket below a USB charger, a hook to hang stuff and other attributes. Because the fuel tank is positioned in the floorboard, there is massive under-seat storage with enough space for two half-face helmets.
    New TVS Jupiter
The instrumentation is fully digital and even comes with Bluetooth connectivity along with turn-by-turn navigation. TVS has added a hazard light too and it also has an emergency braking alert where it flashes the blinkers on panic braking. Turn indicators are not exactly self-canceling in real-time, but they turn off after a certain period. This will be handy.
New TVS Jupiter – Fuel tank lid
2024 TVS Jupiter 110 is based on a new platform powered by a new Gen engine (New J110). It is a 113.3 cc unit when compared to preceding Jupiter 110’s 109.7cc unit. It is based on the same block as Jupiter 125, bored to displace 113.3 cc. TVS is offering micro-hybrid tech with this engine with electric assist. Peak power can be rounded off to 8 bhp and it has 9.2 Nm without assist and 9.8 Nm with assist.
    New TVS Jupiter
    iGO assist
Peak power is now achieved at 6,500 RPM, 1,000 RPM lower than predecessor and peak torque is achieved at 5,000 RPM, 500 RPM lower than predecessor. iGO assist technology packs an intelligent start/stop technology and an integrated starter generator. TVS is claiming quicker stand-start acceleration and pass-by acceleration along with superior torque and best-in-class fuel efficiency.
    New TVS Jupiter
This new Jupiter replaces the old version, which has now been discontinued. 2024 TVS Jupiter is a direct rival to Honda Activa and packs a lot of new equipment along with a new platform and a new engine. Will it help TVS get closer to Honda in terms of scooter sales? Only time will tell. More

All-Black TVS Ntorq Race XP TeasedWhen launched, All-Black TVS Ntorq Race XP will rival sporty scooters like Honda Dio 125, Suzuki Avenis 125 and Yamaha Ray ZR 125If there is one colour which is universally accepted to have a lot of appeal, it has to be Black. In cars, scooters and motorcycles, Black is often a sought after colour, even in a hot country like India. TVS has been launching Black Editions of their products to boost sales and something similar is cooking for Ntorq 125 as well.TVS Ntorq Black Edition TeasedWhile it is not exactly confirmed that it will be called ‘Black Edition’. TVS Motor’s website calls it as “New Ntorq Race XP”. Company’s official teaser on social media handles hints at an all black vehicle that will exude a lot of attitude. As seen in the teaser, there are not likely to be as many stickers and decals on this particular model too.TVS’ teaser starts by mentioning “We’ve heard you”. This suggests that the upcoming colourway has been constantly asked for at showrooms and TVS collected this feedback from their dealer partners. It goes on to say “Prepare to be spellbound while darkness takes over you”.The company has also announced that bookings for this upcoming colourway has been commenced. It should cost a couple of thousands extra over what the Ex-sh price of TVS Ntorq currently costs. Wheels and other elements are also likely to be black.Currently, TVS sells Race Edition and Super Squad Editions of Ntorq along with trim levels like Disc, Race XP and the top-spec XT. Depending on the trim level, TVS Ntorq offers a comprehensive suite of connectivity with its proprietary SmartXonnect app.Performance and PriceWhere performance is concerned, All-Black TVS Ntorq Race XP is likely to bear the same performance boost as standard Race XP. There will be two riding modes too – Street and Race.TVS Ntorq Race XPCurrently, TVS Ntorq Race XP is priced at Rs 97,491 (Ex-sh, Delhi) and the new all-black version might cost a couple of thousand rupees more. New TVS Scooter Teased Ahead Of Launch – Jupiter Facelift?

New TVS Scooter TeasedWith the new upcoming vehicle, TVS Motor will further expand its market share in India’s scooter segment, which should launch soonTVS Motor, one of India’s leading 2W and 3W vehicle manufacturers, has announced the launch of a new product. Company’s invite didn’t reveal a lot of information about this new product. However, it looks like a scooter launch. Thus spawning speculations of it being Jupiter facelift. Let’s take a look.New TVS Scooter TeasedIf there is one 2W manufacturer in India who can develop a new product under the radar, it has to be TVS Motor. Not that test mules by TVS never get papped. They do. However, there have been a few products from TVS that went completely under the radar without any hints whatsoever. TVS Raider 125 is a stark example. We haven’t been able to get our hands on any spy shots of a new TVS scooter as of yet. But the product seems to have been developed and ready to launch sometime shortly. The invite doesn’t say a lot. Leaving us enthusiasts, second-guessing about what the next vehicle from TVS might be.What could it be?To understand what this product might be, we have to realise what TVS currently lacks in its portfolio. For starters, TVS currently lacks a sporty 110cc scooter. Say, a 110cc Ntorq (or Ntorq equivalent). This vehicle will take on the likes of 110cc Honda Dio.2024 TVS iQube RangeBut even without a 110cc option, Ntorq 125 is close to Dio in terms of sales. For context, TVS sold close to 28K Ntorq 125 scooters in June 2024, while Honda sold close to 33K Dio (110cc and 125cc combined) in the same period.Another possibility could be a sportier electric scooter. For the entirety of its electric mobility journey, TVS has sold iQube electric scooter, which is a family-oriented scooter. And then, TVS X was launched, which is a sporty offering. That said, owing to its high price tag, TVS X has not made the same impact as Ather 450 range has made among thrill seekers and enthusiasts. That may be one of the areas that TVS is looking to further expand its electric scooter portfolio and better impact the lucrative Indian electric mobility space.TVS XIs it a Jupiter facelift?Another possibility is a facelifted version of TVS Jupiter ICE family scooter. Jupiter has emerged as TVS’ best-selling product across all genres. A facelift for this winning formula is long overdue and might further expand TVS’ market share in the scooter segment.Jupiter is currently offered in both 110cc and 125cc powertrain options. If there is a Jupiter facelift, that will continue to be offered with both 110cc and 125cc options. We can expect the same TFT screen on this scooter as Raider 125, TVS’ proprietary SmartXonnect connectivity with navigation, LED lighting all around and other elements.TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect Variant launchedAlso read – TVS Jupiter CNG testing commenced More
