    Hero Xpulse 210
Xpulse 210 – Features, rival comparison
Hero Xpulse 210 works as a replacement for the Xpulse 200 4V. In addition to the power boost, Hero Xpulse 210 also focuses on improving the overall ride experience. The bike is currently the most affordable ADV in its class. If we set aside the pricing for a while, Hero Xpulse 210 emerges as a direct rival to Kawasaki KLX230. The latter is priced much higher, starting at Rs 3.30 lakh.
Hero Xpulse 210 generates 24.26 bhp / 20.7 Nm in comparison to 17.85 bhp and 18.3 Nm of KLX230. However, Xpulse 210 weighs 170 kg (top model), as compared to 139 kg of KLX230. Xpulse 210 has a higher power-to-weight ratio, but trails in torque-to-weight ratio.
Both bikes have various similarities such as RSU telescopic front forks, monoshock rear suspension, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS and Bluetooth. Suspension travel is higher with KLX230 at 240 mm front and 250 rear, as compared to 210 mm and 205 mm of Xpulse 210. Some features are better with Xpulse 210 such as LED projector headlamps and instrument cluster with navigation.
    New Hero Xtreme 250R
Hero Xtreme 250R – Key features, rivals
Xtreme 250R easily qualifies as one of the sportiest creations from Hero MotoCorp. It takes inspiration from the Xtunt 2.5R concept that was showcased at EICMA 2023. Some of the key highlights include an aggressive headlamp design, USD forks in golden finish, sculpted fuel tank, split seats, upswept exhaust and rear tyre hugger. Powering the bike is a 249.03 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled DOHC engine that generates 30 PS and 25 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Hero claims Xtreme 250R to be the fastest in its class. 0 to 60 km/h is achievable in just 3.2 seconds. The bike utilizes a steel trellis frame with USD forks and monoshock suspension. Both ends have 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, wrapped in 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres. Tech kit includes an LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth and more than 35 features.
Xtreme 250R takes on rivals such as Pulsar N250, Dominar 250, KTM 250 Duke, Vitpilen 250 and Gixxer 250. It is the second most affordable in the group. Power and torque output is higher than Pulsar, Dominar and Gixxer whereas it matches closely with 250 Duke and Vitpilen 250. More

Hero Xpulse 210 Factory Rally Bike Debuts

Hero Xpulse 210 Factory Rally BikeWhen Hero MotoCorp revealed Xpulse 210 at EICMA 2024, there was a more rugged and off-road-worthy version showcased beside it. Called Xpulse 210 Rally, this motorcycle gets more hardcore off-road capable hardware. Ahead of the official launch a Rally-spec version of it from Hero Factory Racing Team has just debuted at Sjoba Rally event in Chandigarh.
Hero Xpulse 210 Factory Rally Bike
If you’re wondering what would be better than an Xpulse 210 at the price point it is launched, the answer would be Xpulse 210 Rally. There is not a single motorcycle in India, or probably the world, at a price point of Rs 1.76 lakh (Ex-sh) to offer an ADV package as comprehensive as Xpulse 210. And a more hardcore version of it, is a tempting proposition.
Hero Xpulse 210 Factory Rally Bike
Hero calls it Xpulse 210 Rally and is yet to officially launch it. Ahead of a launch, Hero Factory Racing Team has just unveiled a Rally-spec version of this motorcycle at 38th Edition of three-day Sjoba Rally event in Chandigarh. It has to be noted that this Hero Xpulse is not the production-spec model, but showcases the full potential of this platform.
In that regard, these Xpulse 210 Factory Rally bike has quite a few components that will not feature on production version. Primary of these special components include the fully adjustable (compression and rebound) USD telescopic front forks with fork covers to protect inner tube and a new exhaust end can which is positioned higher than stock bike.
Hero Xpulse 210 Factory Rally Bike
Also, disc brakes at both ends are now much more premium and they look fancy. Visually, these Rally-spec motorcycles get beefier knuckle guards and a new headlight cluster and a windscreen. Standard headlight has been replaced with a smaller unit with LED projectors in them. Instrument cluster on these units seem to be removed as well.
    What to expect?
While these components are not likely to make it to production-spec Xpulse 210 Rally variant, others will. These include handlebar risers, knobby Maxxis tyres, Rally seat, long travel fully adjustable suspension, but RSU telescopic forks at the front, among others.
Hero Xpulse 210 Factory Rally Bike
Where powertrains are concerned, Hero Xpulse 210 Rally will be powered by the same 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC 4V/cyl engine capable of generating around 25 PS of peak power and 20.7 Nm, mated to a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox. It will be launched in India soon and it will command a slight price premium over standard model.

Hero Xpulse 210 Vs Kawasaki KLX230 – Is Twice The Price Justified?

Hero Xpulse 210 Vs Kawasaki KLX230Directly rivaling Hero Xpulse 210, we have Kawasaki KLX230 in India, but it costs a whopping Rs 3.3 lakh (Ex-sh). In comparison, Xpulse 210 is priced between Rs 1.76 lakh and Rs 1.86 lakh (Ex-sh). So, is Kawasaki obsolete at twice the price or is there more to KLX230 than what meets the eye? Let’s see what the specs say.
Hero Xpulse 210 Vs Kawasaki KLX230
With the launch of Xpulse 210, Hero MotoCorp has opened a new chapter in the affordable ADV motorcycle genre. The company is addressing a lot of shortcomings seen with Xpulse 200 4V with the just launched Xpulse 210. This is a massive overhaul and a commendable move by Hero MotoCorp to give the audience what they asked for.
Where powertrains are concerned, Xpulse 210 comes with Karizma XMR 210’s engine. This is a 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC 4V/cyl engine with 24.26 bhp of peak power and 20.7 Nm of peak torque. Whereas, Kawasaki’s 233cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC 2V/cyl is capable of 17.85 bhp and 18.3 Nm of torque. Kawasaki’s peak performance is at lower RPMs too, when compared to Xpulse 210’s.
Xpulse 210 has more oomph, but it weighs 168 kg for Base variant and 170 kg for Top variant, while KLX230 only weighs 139 kg. Power-to-weight ratio is better on Xpulse, whereas torque-to-weight ratio is better on KLX230. Also, KLX230 is smaller as it has a smaller wheelbase, which could prove better in off-roading, where Xpulse shines with versatility of highway cruising.
Hero Xpulse 210 Vs Kawasaki KLX230 – Specs Compared
Which off-roader is better on paper?
Speaking of highway cruising, both bikes get a 6-speed gearbox, but KLX230 commands frequent fuel stops as tank capacity is only 7.6L, which is almost half of Xpulse 210’s 13L tank. As KLX230 is geared more towards off-roading, it gets higher ground clearance of 265 mm and 880 mm seat height. Suspension travel is significantly longer at 240mm front and 250mm rear.
That said, Hero will launch Xpulse 210 Rally soon and it will have higher ground clearance, more suspension travel and offer compression and rebound adjustments, which Kawasaki doesn’t offer. Even at Rs 3.3 lakh (Ex-sh). Both bikes offer LED headlights, Hero offers better lighting package as headlights are LED projectors along with LED tail lights and LED turn indicators.
KLX230 offers an LCD cluster, while Xpulse brings a TFT screen. Both bikes get Bluetooth connectivity and notification alerts. Hero goes well beyond in features and offers navigation, a USB charger, switchable ABS and more. Kawasaki has GPS to log your trail rides and access them from the app later, but there’s no navigation feature.
Looking at the specs, Kawasaki KLX 230 is priced at a significant premium. In a cost-conscious market like India, this is not a popular strategy. It is targeting a niche within a niche of buyers craving for a lightweight off-roader. Hero Xpulse 210, on the other hand, is a versatile off-roader for around half the price. When the Rally variant is launched, it will offer better off-roading prospects and is an excellent candidate for a do-it-all bike. More

Hero Xoom 160 ADV Scooter Vs Rivals – Aerox 155, SXR 160

Hero Xoom 160 ADV Scooter Vs RivalsMaxi scooter genre in India was started by Suzuki with Burgman 125. But as the name suggests, it is a 125cc scooter and holds less excitement among enthusiasts. That’s where Aprilia came into this scene and launched SXR 160, which was soon followed by Yamaha Aerox 155, a true performance scooter. This segment has just witnessed a third entrant in the form of Hero Xoom 160. Let’s compare these three and see where they fall on paper.
    Hero Xoom 160 ADV Scooter
Ever since it was first unveiled at EICMA Show 2023, motorcycling enthusiasts in India have been awaiting the launch of Hero Xoom 160. The company launched it at 2025 Auto Expo in Delhi NCR and it is one of the most awaited models from Hero. While we were expecting competitive prices, Xoom 160’s price tag turned out to be Rs 1.48 lakh (Ex-sh).
    Hero Xoom 160 Launched
Which is around the same price point as Yamaha Aerox 155, a scooter that isn’t known to strike VFM quotient. In comparison, Aprilia SXR 160 emerges as the most affordable, priced at Rs 1.43 lakh (Ex-sh). That is because it packs performance, features and equipment which are a cut below what Hero and Yamaha are offering.
All scooters here offer an engine displacing between 155cc to 160cc and they’re all single-cylinder SOHC units. Xoom and Aerox are liquid-cooled and get a 4V head, while SXR is air-cooled only and gets a 3V head. Aprilia should have implemented oil-cooling at-least, something even TVS NTORQ 125 has.
Hero Xoom 160 ADV Scooter Vs Rivals
Aerox has a wee-bit more power and Xoom has wee-bit more torque, at similar engine RPMs, while SXR is a cut below. All scooters come equipped with a CVT Aprilia misses out on silent start and engine start / stop features. Only Aerox 155 gets Traction Control, while Aerox and Xoom both gets a smart key with keyless go.
    Components and features
SXR has longest wheelbase, highest ground clearance, lowest seat height and is underpinned by a tubular chassis that allows for a flat floorboard. At 126 kg, Aerox is lightest with highest power : weight ratio. However, fuel tank is smallest with Aerox at 5.5L, while other two offer a 7L tank. Only SXR gets an internal and under seat fuel filler cap, which is vastly inconvenient.
Wheel size is 14-inches with Xoom and Aerox, while it is 12-inches on SXR. However, Aprilia’s official website mentions that SXR 160 has 12-inch front and 14-inch rear combination. It is unclear whether it was a silent update or a typo. Front tyre is skinniest with Aerox at 110-section, where others offer 120. Rear tyre is skinniest with SXR at 120-section, where other two offer 140-section.
    Yamaha Aerox 155
All three maxi scooters on this list get front disc brake, rear drum brake and single-channel ABS. Suspension-wise, they all get RSU telescopic forks at the front and only SXR 160 gets a single-sided rear mono-shock, while the other two gets twin shock absorbers. All three get LED headlights and tail lights, but only SXR gets LED turn indicators.
While SXR 160 gets the largest instrument cluster, it doesn’t make good use of all that real-estate as there is no Bluetooth or connected features. Yamaha offers Y-Connect app with Aerox and Bluetooth functionality is limited as there is no navigation. This is where Hero shines as it offers turn-by-turn navigation. It gets decent underseat storage, but Hero has not put a number on it yet.
    Conclusion
On paper, Yamaha Aerox 155 appears as the winner as it is lightest, most powerful with R15’s VVA engine and packs a lot of features. However, it has a few ergonomic flaws and the rear suspension is like a brick. While it looks outdated on paper, Aprilia SXR 160 has its strengths of being the most charming in design and has a flat footboard.
    Aprilia SXR 160
Hero Xoom 160 has the most exciting and appealing design out of this trio. ADV-like charm works quite well and adds a lot of muscle. Xoom 160 might emerge as the most well-rounded package in this trio, but it weighs quite a bit more than Aerox. All three have their strengths in their favour and is anyone’s game at this point. We haven’t ridden the Xoom 160 yet and we will express our opinions once we do.

Hero Karizma Combat Edition Teased – Better Components, Features, Launch Soon

    Hero Karizma Combat Edition Teased
With the launch of Karizma XMR 210, Hero MotoCorp entered an entirely new level that they had never achieved before. This is the first time Hero MotoCorp fully showcased their technological prowess. Now, Karizma XMR 210 is teased with a new Combat Edition that bring improvements in components and features. Let’s take a look.
    Hero Karizma Combat Edition
Currently, Hero Karizma XMR 210 is priced at Rs 1,81,400 (Ex-sh) for a sole variant that comes equipped with all the advertised bells and whistles. There are three colour options – Iconic Yellow, Turbo Red and Matte Phantom Black. The new Hero Karizma Combat Edition gets a lovely Grey shade.
Hero first showcased this motorcycle at 2024 EICMA Show. It was one of the showcases from Hero MotoCorp after the company took the veil off Karizma XMR 250, Xtreme 250R, Xpulse 210 and Vida Z. When compared to the standard Karizma XMR 210, there are a few additions.
Notable among these additions include the addition of USD telescopic front forks, finished in a Gold colour. USD front forks was one of the most sought-after elements on Karizma from enthusiasts. It still is a head-scratching omission from standard Karizma XMR 210 as even the Xtreme 160R got it.
    Hero Karizma Combat Edition Teased
USD front forks will allow better cornering capabilities on Karizma and make the overall chassis stiffer as the fatter part is on top to exert better clamping force. Another notable change is the addition of a fully digital TFT screen on Hero Karizma Combat Edition. The switchgear has been improved with D-pad to control this cluster.
    New TFT Cluster
With the addition of USD front forks and TFT instrument clusters, the premium quotient of Karizma has increased considerably. It is now a significantly more well-rounded package than it used to be and promises a better handling character than before. We should expect Karizma Combat Edition to be priced above standard model.
Powertrain-wise, Hero Karizma Combat Edition continues with the same 210cc single-cylinder DOHC 4V/cyl liquid-cooled engine that is capable of generating 25 bhp of peak power and 20.4 Nm of peak torque. Slip and assist clutch, a 6-speed gearbox, disc brakes at both end with dual-channel ABS are some of the other notable features on Karizma XMR 210 Combat Edition.

Hero Xtreme 250R Vs Rivals – Pulsar, Dominar, Duke, Gixxer, Vitpilen

Hero Xtreme 250R vs RivalsWith the launch of Xtreme 250R, Hero MotoCorp has now entered the big boy league. We say this because Hero has had in-house developed motorcycles in the 200cc to 225cc displacement, but they didn’t put out massive performance metrics like Xtreme 250R is. This calls for a comparison between other popular quarter litre motorcycles on sale in India. Let’s see how Xtreme 250R fares.
    Hero Xtreme 250R Vs Rivals
Before starting this comparison, we have to get pricing out of the way because it is a key differentiating factor for buyers in this displacement class. Priced at Rs 1.8 lakh (Ex-sh), Hero Xtreme 250R is not as affordable as the expectations were. However, it still undercuts immediate rivals like Bajaj Dominar 250, KTM 250 Duke, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 and Suzuki Gixxer 250.
Bajaj Pulsar N250 is still the most affordable, but is of a lower performance tier than the other 250cc bikes on this list. The most expensive one here, is KTM 250 Duke at Rs 2.45 lakh (Ex-sh). Unlike a few premium Hero motorcycles of the past (Xtreme 200S, Xpulse 200T), Xtreme 250R is desirable. This is quite a feat for Hero and Xtreme 250R might very well be the most handsome motorcycle. Especially in the Red shade.
All motorcycles here displace around 250cc and are single-cylinder in their architecture. Except for the Pulsar and Gixxer all other motorcycles have a DOHC head with 4V/cyl layout along with liquid cooling. Only the Pulsar N250 is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and others all get a 6-speed gearbox as standard. KTM is the only one with a quickshifter as standard, if you’re into that.
    Hero Xtreme 250R vs Rivals
    Performance & Weight
Vitpilen 250 and 250 Duke are the most powerful at around 30.6 bhp of peak power, but Xtreme 250R is not far off at 29.6 bhp. Where torque is concerned, Xtreme, Duke and Vitpilen boast 25 Nm. In terms of equipment, Pulsar N250 is at the bottom and is priced accordingly. However, Suzuki Gixxer 250 is also on the lower end, but is not priced accordingly.
Dominar 250 feels the oldest and the most out-of-date. Bajaj might bring in some fresh breath of air with similar updates we saw with 2025 Dominar 400. Dominar is the heaviest at 180 kg and has the longest wheelbase at 1,453 mm. Ground clearance is the highest with Duke and lowest with Vitpilen, where Xtreme is at a decent middle ground. Xtreme has manageable seat height, unlike Vitpilen which has a 835mm seat height.
    Which is most feature-rich?
That said, Vitpilen is the lightest at just 152 kg and the small 9.5L fuel tank might be a contributing factor here. Duke has the biggest fuel tank here, despite Dominar’s touring angle. It is Dominar that has the skinniest tyres with 130-section rear tyre whereas Pulsar N250 gets a 140-section and rest get 150-section. All contenders get single disc brakes at both ends, coupled with Dual-Channel ABS.
    Hero Xtreme 250R
Only the Gixxer 250 gets RSU telescopic front forks, while others offer USD forks. Pulsar and Dominar gets the 37mm USD forks, whereas Duke, Vitpilen and Xtreme get fatter 43mm forks. Mono-shock rear suspension is standard across the range. Hero is offering projector headlights on Xtreme 250R along with LED tail lights and LED turn indicators. It also has a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity along with eSIM based connection and turn-by-turn navigation. Dominar is the only one without connectivity. More
