Hero To Launch India’s Most Futuristic 125cc – Glamour With Cruise Control?

Hero Teased India’s Most Futuristic 125cc 2W Vehicle
The largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world, Hero MotoCorp, seems to be upping its game commuter in India. The maker of Splendor commuter bike, has just teased a new vehicle that is promised to be India’s most futuristic 125cc 2W. All fingers are pointing towards the probable launch of 2025 Glamour 125 with Cruise Control feature. Let’s take a closer look.
Hero To Launch India’s Most Futuristic 125cc
The 125cc segment in India holds stark importance among 2W manufacturers. Especially where motorcycles are concerned, which holds immense sales potential. This is the segment where Bajaj, Honda, Hero and TVS compete to the highest level. Hero MotoCorp aims to up the game in this segment with a new offering which it promises will be India’s most futuristic 125cc two-wheeler.
Hero Teased India’s Most Futuristic 125cc 2W Vehicle
Cross-referencing to upcoming 125cc Hero MotoCorp vehicles, one product stands out, which is the next-gen Glamour 125 spied with cruise control. Hero has sent Block Your Date invites to media and the launch timeline is likely to be around this month, which is August 2025 and it seems to have all the makings of a segment disruptor.
This spied 2026 Hero Glamour 125 has been one of the most sensational news in the automotive fraternity as it was quite unusual. We say unusual because it possessed Cruise Control, operated by a toggle on its right switchgear. Cruise Control on a budget commuter is a hard pill to swallow owing to the cost constraints.
    2026 Hero Glamour 125 Spied
However, Hero MotoCorp offers Cruise Control on its affordable Vida V2 lineup of scooters and it might be a similar system designed to be affordable for the masses. Other notable element seen on the 2026 Glamour 125 was a fully digital colour LCD instrument cluster which might be shared with the unit seen on Xtreme 250R and now discontinued Karizma XMR 210 Base variant.
    What to expect?
Prices are likely to jump a bit, considering the equipment on offer. Hero MotoCorp is known to come up with unique attributes on their products to make them stand out in the market. Splendor is a stark example of this as it is the country’s only 100cc commuter with a disc brake, LED headlights, fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and more.
    2026 Hero Glamour 125 Spied
Same strategy could be implemented with Glamour 125 where it might emerge as the country’s most futuristic 125cc 2W vehicle. With 2026 Glamour 125, Hero may carry forward the same 124.7cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with 10.39 bhp of peak power and 10.4 Nm of peak torque.

New Hero 440cc Bike Launch Very Soon – More Coming In 2026

New Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler VariantWith a strategic partnership with Hero MotoCorp, American bike manufacturer, Harley-Davidson, has entered the country’s premium single-cyl 350cc to 450cc segment. This also allowed Hero MotoCorp to carve out a motorcycle under their brand, the Mavrick 440, which seems to be currently discontinued in India.
Hero MotoCorp CEO, Vikram Kasbekar, has now revealed that a new motorcycle developed under its partnership with Harley-Davidson will launch in Q2. As per Mr Kasbekar, one of these 440cc motorcycles will launch ‘very soon’ and more exciting products will come in 2026. Let’s take a closer look at what these could be.
    Hero Mavrick 440
    New Hero 440cc Bike Launch
As revealed in a recent interview, Hero MotoCorp has spilled the beans, revealing details of current developments and upcoming projects in the pipeline. The most interesting among these upcoming vehicles was a new motorcycle based on the 440 platform shared with American brand Harley-Davidson.
Mr Kasbekar revealed that the company will launch a new 440cc motorcycle ‘very soon’. He did not spill out whether it will be launched under Hero brand or Harley-Davidson brand. Former is the more likely outcome. We say this because Hero’s only 440cc bike, Maverick 440, seems to have been discontinued recently.
New Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Variant
    What could it be?
Analysing the recent test mule sightings, there doesn’t seem to be any new 440cc Hero MotoCorp offerings to be launched ‘very soon’. However, the company has trademarked the Mavrick 440 Scrambler name and has even patented design of this vehicle in India, which may be the motorcycle Mr Kasbekar is mentioning. If this is true, Mavrick 440 Scrambler will feature scrambler-worthy hardware at a slightly higher price tag and will rival Royal Enfield Scram 440.
Because Xpulse 440 test mule sightings have not been reported recently, another possibility could be the re-launch of Mavrick 440, but in a more premium avatar, packing more features and equipment. This variant of Mavrick 440 was showcased at 2024 EICMA and it packed a TFT instrument cluster along with USD telescopic front forks, finished in a lovely Gold shade.
Hero embraced similar strategy with Karizma XMR 210 as the ‘Base’ variant was discontinued, leaving only the better equipped ‘Top’ variant on sale. If this is true, one can expect a slight price hike with Mavrick 440 owing to its more premium equipment. Last recorded prices started from Rs 2 lakh and went till Rs 2.25 lakh (both prices Ex-sh).

Hero Mavrick 440 Discontinued? Or Will There Be An Updated Version?

Hero Mavrick 440Hero MotoCorp, one of India’s largest 2W manufacturers, is known for its budget commuter motorcycles more than its premium motorcycles. Even the company’s scooters have a better sales proposition than Hero’s premium motorcycles. So, the company is revising its premium motorcycle lineup to establish a streamlined portfolio.
In that regard, Hero MotoCorp recently de-listed or discontinued the base variant of Karizma XMR 210 and now, a similar approach seems to have been taken towards the Mavrick 440. Only, the entire Mavrick 440 motorcycle seems to be discontinued, rather than some variants. Let’s take a closer look.
    Hero Mavrick 440
    Hero Mavrick 440 Discontinued?
One look at Hero MotoCorp’s official website and you can still see Mavrick 440 listed along with all of its variants. Speaking of, Mavrick 440 was sold in three variants conveniently named Base, Mid and Top. Prices range between Rs 1,99,500 for Base, Rs 2,14,500 for Mid and Rs 2,24,500 for Top (all prices Ex-sh).
However, Hero MotoCorp seems to have discontinued its flagship product, the Mavrick 440. This was Hero’s first proper big displacement motorcycle and was based on the same platform as Harley-Davidson X440. But at an affordable price point with Roadster design and less premium components.
    Hero Mavrick 440
While the Ex-sh prices were already attractive, Hero Mavrick 440 garnered attractive discounts on E-Commerce platforms like Flipkart, sweetening the deal further. However, the bike’s overtly simplistic design seems to have worked against it and it didn’t find many takers. Sales were often in double digits, single digits and even 0 from the past three months.
    Will it make a comeback?
There are three ways as to how the company might tackle the Mavrick 440’s future. One is to discontinue it completely and make way for boosting sales of Harley-Davidson X440. Second is to bring it back with updated components, which were showcased at 2024 EICMA Show. These include USD telescopic front forks and a TFT colour instrument cluster among others.
    Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler
Also, there’s a probability of Hero bringing it back in a Scrambler avatar. Design and names of which have already been trademarked in India (Mavrick 440 Scrambler). Either way, Hero Mavrick 440 will remain one of the most underrated motorcycles of India, as we found out during time with it. More

2026 Hero Glamour 125 Spied – Gets Cruise Control, New Cluster

2026 Hero Glamour 125 SpiedCommuter motorcycles are usually not the first to get cutting-edge features—especially those found in flagship models. But Hero MotoCorp seems to be rewriting that script. The brand is currently testing what appears to be the next-gen Hero Glamour 125, and it surprisingly features cruise control—a feature even the company’s flagship Mavrick 440 doesn’t offer yet.
2026 Hero Glamour 125 Spotted on Test
While cruise control might seem like a feature better suited to the Mavrick 440, the Xpulse 210, or the upcoming Xpulse 440 (unofficial name), Hero is testing it on a budget commuter. The test mule—believed to be the 2026 Glamour 125—was spotted with full camouflage, which interestingly looks more like brown duct tape than traditional test covers.
    2026 Hero Glamour 125 Spied
The inclusion of cruise control on this test bike hints that Hero might be adapting a similar system to what’s already available on its Vida electric scooters. And although there’s no official confirmation, the test unit’s fuel tank lid matches that of the current Glamour 125, and sources familiar with the project confirm it is indeed the next-gen Glamour.
What Does the Test Mule Reveal?
The spied motorcycle bears all the trademarks of a budget commuter: basic triple-tree setup, conventional RSU telescopic forks, commuter-style foot pegs, saree guard, fully-enclosed chain cover, single-piece seat, and a functional rear grab rail. It’s clearly designed for daily usability.
    2026 Hero Glamour 125 Spied
That said, there are several upgrades over the current Glamour 125. These include:
    – LED turn indicators– Fully digital color LCD instrument cluster (possibly borrowed from the Xtreme 250)– Updated switchgear– Cruise control system
Powering the motorcycle is likely to be the same 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine producing 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
    2026 Hero Glamour 125 Spied
Why This Is a Big Deal
Hero’s decision to test cruise control on a 125cc commuter rather than reserving it for premium models indicates a shift in how technology trickles through its lineup. If this system is being validated successfully, expect to see cruise control on more premium Hero bikes like the Xpulse 210, Mavrick 440, Xtreme 250R, and even the upcoming Xoom 160 scooter.
When launched, the 2026 Hero Glamour 125 will compete against other premium 125cc commuters such as the TVS Raider 125 and the soon to be launched Honda CB125 Hornet. There’s no confirmed launch timeline yet, nor do we know if this version is intended for the Indian market. Stay tuned for more updates as testing continues. More
