2025 Aprilia And Vespa Scooters Spied In Ooty- New Features Expected

2025 Aprilia and Vespa ScootersPiaggio Group seems to be overhauling its scooter portfolio in India. Test mules of Aprilia and Vespa scooters have been spied near Ooty, Tamil Nadu. We can expect these scooters to launch soon, making a greater impact in the premium end of 125cc and larger displacement category.
2025 Aprilia And Vespa Scooters Spied
Thanks to automotive enthusiast Ram Prasath, we now have spy shots of upcoming Aprilia and Vespa scooters. From these spy shots, there don’t seem to be any design changes, especially with Aprilia SR test mule. It could be both SR 125 or SR 160, as they look exactly the same from behind.
    2025 Aprilia SR
We can still see the same pillion grabrail that split a lot of opinions when it was announced. Rear LED tail lights are carried over too, with the rather stylish X-shaped insignia. Rear turn indicators are still halogen units and rear suspension looks the same single-sided mono-shock unit.
However, the main change expected with 2025 Aprilia SR scooter is a new TFT screen, as per the source. This TFT screen is also likely to be large in size, when compared to the usual 4-inch to 5-inch TFT instrument panels we see with scooters.
    New TFT instrument cluster?
This new TFT cluster will replace the large orange-backlit fully digital LCD unit that first debuted with Aprilia SXR maxi-styled scooter. It shows a multitude of information including speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, time, mileage, average mileage, distance to empty, trip computer readings and total odometer.
    2025 Vespa Scooter
With the new TFT cluster, we can expect 2025 Aprilia SR scooters (at least the SR 160) to get Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support. The Vespa test mule doesn’t get this new TFT cluster as per the source and continues with the same analogue cluster it used to get. This 2025 Vespa scooter might be a ZX or VXL that gets a slightly re-designed pillion grab rail.
Powertrains-wise, we can expect the same 125cc engines (with Vespa and Aprilia), 150cc engine (with Vespa) and 160cc engine (with Aprilia) as before. Performance metrics are likely to remain the same as well. Launch might happen too, considering these test mules were not donning any camouflage. More

2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Arrives At Dealer Yard – Walkaround Video

2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200Since the launch of Bajaj Pulsar RS200 a decade ago in 2015, enthusiasts have been craving for an update. Bajaj heard the cries and just launched the upgraded 2025 Pulsar RS200 at an attractive price point of Rs 1.84 lakh (Ex-sh). Right after the launch, units of 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 reached showrooms. Let’s take a look.
    2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200
At the beginning of calendar year 2025, Bajaj launched updated Pulsar RS200 at Rs 1.84 lakh (Ex-sh). However, it is not what buyers and enthusiasts seem to have been craving for. There are minimal changes to this motorcycle, but most of these updates are meaningful and bring the motorcycle to 2025 in terms of technology.
2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 New Instrument Cluster
As seen in the video by 6 Speed, units of 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 have reached dealerships. The colour we see in this video is Pearl Metallic White. The other two colours for 2025 Pulsar RS200 include Active Black Satin and Glossy Racing Red. All three colours have been priced at the same Rs 1.84 lakh (Ex-sh).
Buyers will have to decide whether they want a fully faired Pulsar RS200 at Rs 1.84 lakh (Ex-sh), or cough up Rs 1,000 more to buy the Pulsar NS400Z. Priced at Rs 1.85 lakh (Ex-sh), Pulsar NS400Z is incredible value for the money and even gets USD telescopic front forks as standard that Pulsar RS200 misses out on.
2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 LED Headlights
That said, the appeal of a fully-faired motorcycle with as much flair as Pulsar RS200 is hard to resist. With 2025 model, Bajaj has offered a new USB charging port for smartphones or action cameras. This is still Type-A port and not Type-C, which is fine and not a deal-breaker. Tail section is completely new and gets revised LED tail lights with LED turn indicators.
Headlights are still projector units for both low and high beam. But these headlights are now populated by LEDs and not halogens. The main update, however, is its fully digital colour instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation. This is the same boned and laminated screen we saw with Pulsar NS400Z. To control this screen, we have updated switchgear with a Mode button.
Updated Bajaj Pulsar RS200 LED Tail Lights
What are the updates to componentry?
Where componentry is concerned, Bajaj Auto has made efforts to offer an update with 2025 Pulsar RS200. We get new brake callipers from Grimeca at the front and rear, replacing ByBre units. There’s dual-channel ABS with ABS modes. Front tyre is now 110-section and rear tyre 140-section. These are fatter when opposed to the 100-section and 130-section units in preceding model. RSU telescopic front forks continue as they were, even though Pulsar NS160 gets USDs.
The same 199.5cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder KTM-derived engine continues to do duties on updated Pulsar RS200. This engine is capable of generating 24.1 bhp of peak power and 18.7 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch to prevent wheel hopping while down-shifting is also notable.

Hero Vida Electric ADV Design Patented – Launch Soon Under Acro Brand?

Hero Vida Electric ADV Design PatentedAfter launching Vida V2 electric scooter range, Hero MotoCorp is excited to launch more EVs. As seen with recent developments, Vida brand can see a major portfolio expansion including electric off-road bikes for adults and kids. One of them has been patented in India, indicating a launch soon. Let’s take a look.
    Hero Vida Electric ADV
Vida electric scooter sub-brand from motorcycle giant Hero MotoCorp is yet to make a significant dent in electric scooter space. The company has surpassed most of its startup rivals and often features among the top five best-selling electric scooters in India. However, there can be more sales and they don’t have to be just electric scooters.
Hero Vida Acro Concept Left, Lynx Concept Right
Hero MotoCorp seems to be launching an electric off-road motorcycle in 2025. An electric dirt bike, if you may. If you recall, Hero MotoCorp showcased two electric ADV motorcycle concepts at EICMA 2023. Called Lynx and Acro, these electric off-road motorcycles grabbed a lot of eyeballs.
Lynx concept was an electric dirt bike for adults, while Acro concept was an electric learner dirt bike for kids. Looking at the design patent filed by Hero MotoCorp in India, it looks a lot like a production version of Acro concept. The main reason that points towards it being an Acro and not Lynx, is the lack of traditional motorcycle braking equipment at the front.
Hero Vida Electric ADV Design Patented
Yes, the design trademarked in India does not have conventional disc brakes at the front, like the ones seen on Lynx concept. That’s because it is likely to get the exposed shoe-type braking system we see in bicycles, similar to the setup showcased with Acro concept. It will be dedicated to kids as a learner bike.
    Will it be road legal?
Where dimensions are concerned, it will be substantially small, even when compared to the smallest of motorcycles for adults. We can see a raised handlebar, centre-set foot pegs and a flat seat for an upright seating position. Front suspension looks like they are height-adjustable USD telescopic units with beefy fork covers and a rear mono-shock. Allowing users to adjust this motorcycle’s ergos to suit them perfectly.
    Hero Vida Acro Adjustable Height
We can see a removable electric battery across the spine of this machine and a mid-mounted electric motor. This electric motor drives rear wheel with what looks like a belt drive. Knobby tyres make this motorcycle look like it is off-road-ready. We also don’t see a speedo on this motorcycle. Instead, we can see a Vida branding where instrument cluster should have been.
Where performance is concerned, this Hero Vida electric ADV based on Acro concept might be packing quite a punch, enough to kick the tail out on corners and get to speeds to achieve jumps. There is a possibility that it might not be road-legal and only a tool to be used on off-road tracks or trails for future champions to learn and build skills on. More

Hero Vs Honda Sales CY 2024 – Hero Leads Honda By Just 1.09 Lakh Units

Hero vs Honda Sales CY24Ever since the Hero Honda JV ended, both brands have competed against each other in the Indian market. Hero MotoCorp has always posted significantly higher sales figures as opposed to Honda. But this sales gap has been closing down every year. And in CY24, Honda has reduced the gap considerably. The yearly sales volume difference between Hero and Honda is at an all time low at 1,09,567 units.
    Hero Vs Honda Sales CY24
Both brands have not been able to tackle each other at their core strengths. Which for Hero is budget commuter motorcycles and it is commuter scooters for Honda. Where sales are concerned, Hero MotoCorp has always had an upper hand with the ever-green Splendor. The company has been striving hard to revamp its premium motorcycle range too.
    Hero Vs Honda Sales CY24
Honda, on the other hand, has sold less units than Hero, where CY sales are concerned. The company has remarkably reduced the volume gap from Hero to an all time low at just 1,09,567 units in CY24. This is a remarkable achievement from Honda as the company continues to push into commuter motorcycle market while maintaining an iron hand in scooter segment.
    What do the numbers say?
Looking at sales performance of both brands in CY24, we can see that Hero MotoCorp did maintain an upper hand as it sold 56,57,446 units in domestic market and 2,53,619 units in exports leading to 59,11,065 units pushed in total. When compared to 54,99,524 units from CY23, Hero registered a 7.48% YoY growth, gaining 4,11,541 units in volume.
At the same time, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India sold 52,92,976 units in domestic market and 5,08,522 units in exports, leading to a total of 58,01,498 units. When compared to the 43,84,559 unit sold in CY23, Honda registered a significant YoY growth of 32.32% YoY, gaining 14,16,939 units in volume YoY. This massive growth YoY in CY sales has bridged the gap from Hero considerably.
In CY23, Hero’s total sales of 54,99,924 units and Honda’s 43,84,559 units yielded a volume difference of 11,14,965 units between both brands. However, in CY24, the volume difference between both brands is only 1,09,567 units, which is an all time low.
This suggests that Honda is rapidly gaining market share and increasing its presence in commuter motorcycle segment, while still maintaining upper hand in scooter segment. On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp is prepping to up its game in scooter segment with soon to launch new-gen Destini 125. Hero is also betting big on premium products with Xtreme 250R and Xoom 160 launching soon. More
