Among Yamaha price hike for Jan 2023, lowest percentage hike is for R15 V4 Racing Blue at just 0.54%, highest for FZ 25 at 2.04%Image – MRD VlogsYamaha India currently lacks big bikes and budget commuters. Not that Yamaha India never had any. As of now, new R7 and MT-09 have been teased and are set to launch. Yamaha might bring in R3 and MT-07 as well, which isn’t officially teased or confirmed. Till then, Yamaha’s motorcycle portfolio starts from FZ and ends with R15.Scooter portfolio starts from Fascino 125 and ends with Aerox 155. Yamaha periodically hikes prices of its vehicles across the range. Last such price hike happened in October 2022. Yamaha India has hiked prices for its vehicles for Jan 2023 as well. There is an increase in prices across the range, sans FZ and FZ S. Let’s take a look at the updated prices.Yamaha Motorcycle Prices Jan 2023Among all of its motorcycles, Yamaha FZ 25 and FZS 25 gets the highest price hike. Both models prices have been hiked by Rs. 3,000 and entry-level FZ 25 now starts from 1,49,900 (ex-sh). Interestingly, the smallest of FZ family, FZ-FI and FZS-FI with 149cc engines gets no price hike. This is Yamaha’s highest-selling vehicle and is understood why it is exempt from this hike.FZ-X gets a hike of Rs. 1,500 with new prices starting from 1,34,400 (ex-sh). Stepping up the price ladder, we have Yamaha MT15. This model has different pricing for varied colours. However, the price increment across the range for MT15 is Rs. 1,000. Prices now start from 1,64,400 for Black shade and go till Rs. 1,66,400 for MotoGP Edition (prices ex-sh).Yamaha Motorcycle Prices Jan 2023R15S a.k.a. R15 V3, also gets a price hike of just Rs. 1,000. Being a generation old, new prices fall below R15 V4 at Rs. 1,62,900 (ex-sh). Speaking of R15 V4, all the non-M variants that miss out on a quick shifter and additional tech, get a price hike of just Rs. 1,000.But R15M V4 Metallic Grey gets a price hike of 2,500 and WGP 60th Edition and MotoGP Edition gets a price hike of 1,500. As a whole, R15 V4 prices now start from 1,79,900 for Metallic Red and go till 1,93,400 for MotoGP Edition (all prices ex-sh).Yamaha Scooter Prices Jan 2023Yamaha’s scooter portfolio gets a price hike across the board, unlike motorcycle portfolio where FZ is exempt. In effect, revised pricing for Fascino starts from Rs. 77,100 and goes till Rs. 88,730 for Special Edition (prices ex-sh).Yamaha Scooter Prices Jan 2023Same logic applies to RayZR as well. Drum brake variants have been hiked by Rs. 1,000 and disc brake variants by Rs. 1,700. Yamaha’s flagship scooter, Aerox 155, gets a price hike of Rs. 1,500 for both standard variant and MotoGP variant. Prices for RayZR now start from Rs. 81,230 and Aerox 155 from Rs. 1,40,800. More

New Yamaha 150cc Classic Motorcycle Launch Price 13.4k Yuan (Rs 1.6 L)

Currently available only in China, Yamaha GT150 Fazer could be introduced in other markets at a later dateNew Yamaha 150cc ClassicIn the world of motorcycles, the classic retro look is making a resurgence. It is essentially a timeless design that appeals to folks across age groups. With that in mind, Yamaha has launched GT150 Fazer in China.Retail price starts at 13,390 yuan, which is approximately Rs 1.60 lakh. Yamaha GT150 Fazer borrows a significant percentage of its hardware and equipment from other 150cc bikes like FZ15, Fazer 150 and Crosser 150.Yamaha 150cc Classic MotorcycleYamaha GT150 Fazer has a graceful design, something that is pleasing to the eyes. The bike has friendly vibes and is available in colour options of white, dark grey, light grey and blue. Across all colour variants, much of the bike has a blacked-out lower section. It includes the fenders, alloy wheels, exhaust, engine and front and rear suspension. Some of the signature retro bits include round headlamp, rear view mirrors and turn signals. Other highlights include all-LED lights, 12V DC charging socket, fork gaiters, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, tan leather seat in quilted pattern and tracker style side panels. The bike has a round full digital instrument panel that displays a range of information.New Yamaha 150cc ClassicFor everyday commutes, Yamaha GT150 Fazer ticks all the right boxes. It has a slender profile, which will be useful in negotiating heavy traffic. Seat height is 800 mm, which should ensure easy handling and manoeuvrability. The bike has a long seat and seems adequate for two adults. However, a grab rail is missing. It may be offered as an accessory.Users can expect optimal comfort with centrally placed footpegs and pulled-back, raised handlebar. While the bike is primarily for city commutes, it seems capable of handling some mild off-roads as well. Features like handlebar brace and dual-purpose block pattern tyres will be useful in off-road environments.Yamaha GT150 Fazer performanceEngine used onboard Yamaha GT150 Fazer is a 149cc unit that has the same bore and stroke as that of FZ15, Fazer 150 and Crosser 150. The air cooled, 2 valve, SOHC motor generates 12.3 hp of max power at 7,500 rpm and 12.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.New Yamaha 150cc ClassicSuspension duties onboard New Yamaha 150cc Classic are performed by telescopic front forks and dual rear suspension. The bike has 18-inch wheels at both ends, shod with 90/90 front and 100/80 rear tyres. Braking duties are performed by disc brakes at both ends. The bike has a 1,330 mm wheelbase and weighs 126 kg. It has a 12.5 litre fuel tank. With growing popularity of retro bikes in India, Yamaha GT150 Fazer seems like a suitable candidate to be introduced here. However, it is not certain if and when GT150 Fazer will be launched in India. Yamaha India offers retro-styled FZ-X, although it doesn’t look as elegant as GT150 Fazer. Yamaha already has the 150cc platform in India, so launching GT150 Fazer here shouldn’t be much of an issue. More

2023 Yamaha R15 V4 Updated With New Colour – Aggressive Grey

With no big bikes to offer Yamaha R15 V4 is the company’s flagship offering in India until R7 and MT-09 are launched2023 Yamaha R15 V4Yamaha operates in premium motorcycle and scooter segment in India. Yamaha seems to have distanced itself from offering budget commuter motorcycles and scooters in the country where Hero and Honda dominate in large volumes. FZ is Yamaha’s least expensive offering and R15 V4 is the most expensive.Speaking of, Yamaha R15 V4 gets a slight refresh in Indonesia. There are no mechanical changes or power bumps. That said, there is a new and tasty colour option. This new colour brings out an immense sporty appeal that might be a hot favorite among young audiences.2023 Yamaha R15 Gets New ColourFor starters, this new colour will be sold alongside existing ones and there haven’t been any omissions in Indonesia. This way, Yamaha has refreshed its sub-quarter-liter track missile for MY2023. This new colour scheme is called Aggressive Grey and plays with neon on top of a dark shade of grey. While every other colour scheme gets golden coloured front USD forks, they are finished in black on Aggressive Grey. The new colour dons interesting use of neon colour on front fairing, fuel tank, side fairing and alloy wheels. On the front fascia and fuel tanks, neon is used in the form of stripes while alloy wheels are completely painted in neon colour.2023 Yamaha R15 V4This looks very different from Metallic Red, Dark Knight, Racing Blue, Monster Energy MotoGP Edition, WGP 60th Edition and Metallic Grey that is currently offered with R15 V4 and R15M in India. The new colour comes off as energetic and youthful and is definitely an interesting addition in R15 V4’s lineup.Specs & FeaturesMechanically, Yamaha has kept MY2023 R15 V4 unchanged. This means that it still continues to be powered by the 155 cc LCV4 SOHC engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) tech as found on outgoing model. This engine makes 18.4 PS and 14.2 Nm of torque. This engine is tech-laden as well.It gets VVA, liquid-cooling, a traction control system, a slipper clutch, and a quick shifter (only for clutchless upshifts and not downshifts) and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Aggressive Grey is not announced for India officially as of yet. In India, prices for Yamaha R15 V4 start from Rs. 1.8 lakh and goes till Rs. 1.93 lakh for R15M (prices ex-sh).With no real rivals in premium and tech-savvy faired sports machines in 150cc category, Yamaha R15 V4 enjoys a monopoly. In November 2022, Yamaha managed to sell 7,424 units of R15 in India and exported 1,036 R15s. The closest rival to Yamaha R15 V4 other than R15 V3 (a.k.a. R15S) is KTM RC 125. More

They offer a lot of tech as well. In India, scooter scene is mainly dominated by Honda. With Activa soldiering on ahead and stomping its rivals with immense volumes, there is no beating Honda. That said, Honda’s premium scooters like Grazia don’t often create the same buzz as some of its rivals. In November 2022, Grazia sold just 2,579. Where the premium scooter segment is concerned, Yamaha seems to have an advantage as it sells around 20,000 units of Fascino and RayZR combined. In Indonesia, Yamaha recently launched Grand Filano and is a tempting proposition if launched in India. Let’s take a look.2023 Yamaha Grand Filano 125cc2023 Yamaha Grand Filano 125ccRight off the bat, one can say that Yamaha Grand Filano looks like an upgraded version of Fascino that we get in India. Except, Grand Filano looks a lot more appealing and is filled to the brim with tech and features. There is a diamond-shaped vertical LED element on its apron below its LED headlight which looks attractive.[embedded content][embedded content]Similar pattern vertical LED taillight and LED indicators enhance the looks. Hazard light function is offered too. There are contrasting seat covers with embroidery that looks premium. Here is not a hint of chrome on the entire scooter. Instead, we have blackened elements that add to the sporty appeal.2023 Yamaha Grand Filano 125ccFeatures & SpecsIn terms of features, Yamaha Grand Filano has a lot going for it. Yamaha India hasn’t confirmed the Grand Filano launch any time soon. That said, it would be an interesting offering if priced right. More

Yamaha FZ-X Dual ABS Launch Soon – New Colour, Golden Alloys Spied

The TVC shoot for new FZ-X is going on in Kerala and a launch is likely to happen in the coming days2023 Yamaha FZ-X Dual ABS Launch SoonYamaha has a lot planned on their table right now. Yamaha chairman Eishin Chihana has previously stated that RX brand will return in 2026 or beyond and will feature an engine larger than 100cc. The company is also set to bring some of its big bikes like R7, MT-09 and an electric scooter along with them. But Chihana has hinted before that the company is more focused on the 125cc to 150cc segment and might consider launching an ADV in this space as well. It was speculated that it would be based on an FZ-X. Before that happened, Rushlane’s sources revealed that FZ-X is on the verge of being refreshed for MY2023.2023 Yamaha FZ-X Dual ABS Launch SoonYamaha FZ-X is the company’s attempt to take on neo-retro category with its tried and tested 150cc platform. As a result, we got an FZ-X with a circular headlamp with integrated DRL and a projector unit. It has more beef than regular FZ to offer a muscular stance, while the latter is marketed as a street bike in the commuter segment. For the 2023 update, the main highlight would be dual-channel ABS which used to be just single-channel ABS along with a twin pot-caliper at front. By doing this, Yamaha New FZ-X is the first 150cc motorcycle in India to come with a dual channel ABS option. The closest motorcycle that provides dual channel ABS option is Bajaj Pulsar N160.2023 Yamaha FZ-X Dual ABS Launch Soon – Golden AlloysAlong with improved braking, Yamaha will be offering golden-coloured alloys that we saw with FZS 25 and FZ FI before. FZ-X never received this treatment for its alloy wheels. Instead, Yamaha offered black rims along with pin-striping. With the 2023 Yamaha FZ-X, we now get golden-coloured alloy wheels that might not be to everyone’s taste. Lastly, the new FZ-X will feature a new colour. Details of this colour are not yet known.Specs & FeaturesDonning a neo-retro look, FZ-X is underpinned by the same platform and engine as FZ FI. Displacing 149 cc, this engine makes 12.2 bhp of power and 13.3 Nm of torque. A 5-speed gearbox is offered which regulates power to touch a claimed 115 km/h top speed. New FZ-X for MY2023 will remain unchanged mechanically.Except for new dual-channel ABS, rest of the componentry is kept identical as well. It remains to be seen if Yamaha is offering dual-channel ABS as standard or as an option with FZ-X. Owing to new hardware, there will be a price increment.Currently, it gets three colour options, Metallic Blue, Matt Copper and Matt Black and prices start from Rs. 1.35 lakh (ex-sh) which gets Bluetooth connectivity as well. New FZ-X will be launched in a few days and might be priced from Rs. 1.4 lakh (ex-sh). More

    Yamaha Launches In 2023 – Neo’s Electric Scooter, ADV 250cc, R7

Even though MT-07 was not seen in recent teaser, it could very well be one of upcoming launches from Yamaha in 2023Yamaha E01 Electric ScooterGlobally, Yamaha has an extensive portfolio that is spread across varied segments. If you look at the company’s portfolio in India, there are no budget commuter motorcycles or scooters on offer. Yamaha only has premium commuters and above and premium 125cc scooters and above. For a principle like this, one would think that Yamaha would bring its slew of big bikes in India. But that is not the case. Yamaha’s flagship in India is YZF-R15, a sporty 150cc machine. As far as displacement is concerned, 250cc is the max and there is a big void in the company’s EV realm as well. For 2023, upcoming launches from Yamaha are set to fill some voids, while some are likely to still be wide open. Yamaha is set to bring at least one EV, some of its big bikes and expand its quarter-liter motorcycle portfolio in India. Let’s take a look.Yamaha FZ-X25Everyone loves nostalgia and if there is a motorcycle that evokes it in them, it is an instant hit. This is exactly what Royal Enfield brings to the table and is by far the most dominating player in the Neo-retro motorcycle segment. Some new entrants have tried to grab a piece of this pie as well. We have Honda CB350, Jawa, and Yezdi.Off-road FZ-XEven though Yamaha is bringing the legendary RX moniker back, it will materialise in 2025 or beyond. In the meantime, we are likely to get a 250cc version of FZ-X. Also, an ADV based on FZ-X with its 150cc or 250cc engine.Neo’s Electric ScooterEver since they were displayed to dealers in India, launch of Yamaha’s electric scooters was pretty much expected. Which one, was the main question. There were two electric scooters showcased, E01 and Neo’s. Of the two, Neo’s is the one that is more likely to make it to India as opposed to E01 maxi-styled electric scooter. When launched, prices might go north of Rs. 2 lakh.Yamaha R7Even though we wish for the launch of R1, we are still glad that a big bike from Team Blue is becoming a reality after ages. Yamaha YZF-R7 is the spiritual successor of R6 and has split opinions across the world as R7 misses out on a 4-cylinder symphony.Yamaha R7Instead, R7 gets a 689 cc inline twin-cylinder engine that makes 73 bhp of power and 67 Nm of torque. With only 188 kg to lug around, R7 is a potent middle-weight sport motorcycle. A price upwards of Rs. 9-10 Lakh is expected when launched in 2023.MT-09 & MT-07Recently, Yamaha teased R7 and MT-09 officially. Yamaha is not only bringing its 700cc portfolio to India, but also its 900cc equipped MT-09. In the teaser, MT-07 was not present and hence, is less likely to make it to India. MT-07 is essentially a street naked version of R7.Yamaha MT-09 with TN number platesHowever, MT-09 is an entirely different animal. Powered by an 890cc, inline 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that dishes out close to 120 bhp and 93 Nm of torque. This will take the battle to new Ducati Monster and 2023 Triumph Street Triple R.
