KTM India Sales June 2023KTM India has posted YoY and MoM growth in June 2023 with the Duke 200 and RC 200 being its best-sellerKTM India has seen good demand in June 2023. Domestic sales improved both on YoY and MoM basis while exports dipped YoY but increased MoM thus taking total sales higher on both counts. KTM currently has the Duke 125, RC 125, Duke 200, RC 200, Duke 250, ADV 250, Duke 390, RC 390 and ADV 390 in its product portfolio. Each of these models contributed in a big way to total sales in June 2023.In domestic markets, sales in June 2023 stood at 5,765 units, up 323.90 percent over 1,360 units sold in June 2022. This related to a 4,405 unit volume growth. MoM sales also improved by 12.66 percent from 5,117 units sold in May 2023.KTM Domestic Sales June 2023It was the KTM 200 (Duke and RC) that topped the list with 2,723 units sold last month, up 255.02 percent over 767 units sold in June 2022 to command a 47.23 percent share on this list. MoM sales were higher by 17.17 percent from 2,324 units sold in May 2023. At No. 2 was the KTM 390 range with 1,405 units sold last month, up 276 percent from 374 units sold in June 2022. Sales in May had stood at 1,117 units relating to a 25.78 percent MoM growth.KTM 250 has posted YoY growth of 524.31 percent to 1,361 units, up from 218 units sold in June 2022 while MoM sales dipped 1.66 percent from 1,384 units sold in May 2023. Of the KTM 125 range, sales improved significantly by 27500 percent YoY to 276 units from just 1 unit sold in June 2022 while MoM sales dipped 5.48 percent over 292 units sold in May 2023.KTM Domestic Sales June 2023KTM Exports June 2023Even as KTM exports dipped 7.63 percent YoY, there was a 38.45 percent MoM growth. Exports stood at 5,444 units in June 2023, down from 5,894 units sold in June 2022 relating to a 450 unit volume de-growth. MoM sales performance improved from 3,932 units exported in May 2023.KTM Exports June 2023In export markets it was the KTM 390 that saw maximum demand. Sales stood at 2,623 units in the past month, up 11.43 percent from 2,354 units shipped in June 2022. MoM sales also grew by 138.67 percent from 1,099 units exported in May 2023. KTM 390 currently commands a 48.18 percent share in the company’s export lineup.KTM 200 exports also grew by 17.84 percent to 1,968 units in June 2023, up from 1,670 units shipped in June 2023. There was however, a MoM decline in exports by 10.14 percent from 2,190 units exported in May 2023. There were also 480 units of KTM 125 and 373 units of KTM 250 exported last month with the KTM 250 posting a 73.17 percent YoY decline. MoM exports grew for the KTM 125 by 168.16 percent but dipped in the case of KTM 250 by 19.61 percent.KTM India Total June 2023Total KTM Sales June 2023Taking into account total sales (domestic + exports), KTM has seen YoY and MoM growth to 11,209 units in June 2023. This was a 54.52 percent YoY growth from 7,254 units sold in June 2023 while MoM sales improved by 23.87 percent over 9,049 units sold in May 2023.Every model in the company lineup has seen growth in total sales on YoY basis with the 200 seeing a 92.49 percent growth from 2,437 units sold in June 2022. MoM sales improved by 3.92 percent from 4,514 units sold in May 2023. KTM 390 sales were at 4,028 units up 47.65 percent YoY and 81.77 percent MoM while sales of KTM 250 grew 7.84 percent YoY to 1,734 units but fell 6.17 percent MoM. Sales growth on YoY and MoM basis improved by 57.17 percent and 60.51 percent respectively for the KTM 125 of which the company sold 756 units in June 2023. More

KTM India, which has a current lineup of the Duke 125, RC 125, Duke 200, RC 200, Duke 250, ADV 250, Duke 390, RC 390 and ADV 390, have been seeing outstanding sales in domestic markets while exports have been dull. This has resulted in an overall de-growth for the company both in terms of YoY and MoM sales.
Earlier this month, the company launched the 2023 KTM 200 Duke while there is also the new KTM Duke 390 to look forward to which is expected to launch by the upcoming festive season.
KTM Domestic Sales May 2023
Total domestic sales stood at 5,117 units in May 2023. This was a YoY growth of 68.99 percent from 3,028 units sold in May 2022 relating to a 2,089 unit volume growth. MoM sales improved marginally by 0.77 percent from 5,078 units sold in April 2023.
It was KTM 200 (Duke and RC) that led the sales charts last month with 2,324 units sold, up 27.41 percent over 1,824 units sold in May 2022 to currently command a 45.42 percent share. MoM sales however, decreased by 13.06 percent from 2,673 units sold in April 2023 when share had stood at 52.64 percent.

KTM 250 range also posted a YoY growth of 115.58 percent to 1,384 units in May 2023 from 642 units sold in May 2022 but MoM sales dipped by 1.42 percent or by 20 units from 1,404 units sold in April 2023.
Increased demand was also seen for the KTM 390 range with 1,117 units sold last month, 100 percent over 558 units sold in May 2023 while it was a 33.29 percent MoM growth over 838 units sold in April 2023. Sales of KTM 125 increased by 7200 percent from just 4 units sold in May 2022 to 292 units in the past month while it was also a 79.14 percent MoM growth from 163 units sold in April 2023.
KTM Exports May 2023
KTM exports in May 2023 fell significantly. It was a 38.45 percent YoY de-growth to 3,932 units shipped in May 2023 from 6,388 units exported in May 2022 relating to a 2,456 unit volume. MoM exports also fell by 40.88 percent from 6,651 units shipped in April 2023 with a 2,719 unit dip in volumes. Every model in the company lineup, except for the KTM 200 has seen lower exports.

In export markets, it was the KTM 390 that amassed most sales at 1,099 units in May 2023, despite a YoY and MoM decline. Exports dipped 54.19 percent YoY and 71.17 percent MoM, taking share percentage down to 27.95 percent from 57.31 percent held in April 2023.
Of the KTM200 range, sales increased 12.94 percent YoY and 4.29 percent MoM to 2,190 units. There had been 1,939 units exported in May 2022 and 2,100 units shipped in April 2023. Share improved from 31.57 percent to 55.70 percent MoM. KTM India exports of its 250 (464 units) and 125 (179 units) range slipped by 39.43 percent and 86.06 percent YoY and by 13.91 percent and 10.50 percent MoM respectively.

Lower exports brought down total sales figures for KTM India in May 2023. Total sales dipped 3.90 percent YoY to 9,049 units in the past month from 9,416 units sold in May 2022. MoM sales also fell by 22.85 percent from 11,729 units sold in April 2023.
KTM200 sales stood at 4,514 units, up 19.96 percent from 3,763 units sold in May 2022 but dipped 5.43 percent from 4,773 units sold in April 2023. KTM 390 however posted both a 25.06 percent YoY and 52.34 percent MoM decline in total sales to 2,216 units.
Of the 250 range, total sales improved by 31.25 percent to 1,848 units YoY but fell 4.89 percent MoM while KTM 125 saw a 63.43 percent dip in sales to 471 units from 1,288 units sold in May 2022. MoM sales performance improved by 29.75 percent over 363 units sold in April 2023. More

KTM Electric scooter spotted testingDesign for this KTM electric scooter is similar to that of EMotion concept surfaced some time ago with sharp and distinctive stylingTeam Orange is looking to expand its portfolio to include both vehicles for the present and future. We’re talking about KTM’s electric 2W portfolio that the Austrian company has hinted at multiple times already. The first set of test mules surfaced recently. Reveals a sporty and muscular electric scooter that resembles the EMotion concept.Conversely, this electric scooter might very well be Husqvarna’s as well. Regardless of whether this is for KTM or Husqvarna, Bajaj will manufacture it at its new Akurdi plant dedicated to EV production under the Chetak Technology name. Let’s take a look at what’s what.KTM Electric Scooter Spotted TestingWe would wager that this is a KTM Electric scooter and not Husqvarna. We say this because this test mule doesn’t look anything like the recent Husqvarna Vectorr concept. If Bajaj is co-developing an electric scooter for Husqvarna, there would be some semblance with Vectorr. The test engineer wore KTM’s riding gear too, kinda giving it away.This test mule has a dual projector setup arranged vertically, a design aesthetic that KTM has used with its rally motorcycles. EMotion concept by Kiska deliberately achieved to resemble KTM’s edgy and sharp aesthetics. Except for the wide-body panels on the EMotion concept, this new test mule is reminiscent of the EMotion concept by Kiska and is highly likely to be for KTM.EMotion concept by KiskaFor starters, this is not a step-through scooter at all. There is a large tunnel above the floorboard-mounted battery. This battery section has a blue sticker that reads “Clima Energiefonds” (Climate Energy Funds), which denotes EU’s and Austria’s electric vehicle subsidies.We have a tall windscreen at the front, an 8” touchscreen instrumentation system behind it, a muscular front apron, sleek side body panels, tall alloy wheels at both ends (probably 14”), single piece seat, custom CNC-milled aluminium swingarm, grab rail and air-cooling jacket. These CNC-milled metallic parts are for prototyping only, while production parts will probably be cast.Powertrain details revealed by EMotionThere are disc brakes at both ends. All lighting is LED and the KTM electric scooter features front RSU telescopic forks and a single-sided rear mono-shock. Fast forwarding to 2023, 200 Duke is one of the best selling KTM. Now in a new gen avatar, it gets the same design and body as its elder 250 Duke and 390 Duke, but lacks a few features. KTM is bringing the 200 Duke one step closer to its elder siblings by giving it LED headlights.This is the same unit as the one found on 250 Duke and 390 Duke. KTM is keeping the halogen headlight version on sale as well, making LED headlights an option. Halogen headlight unit continues to be on offer with a version of 200 Duke and 125 Duke.KTM 200 Duke LED Headlights variant launchedUntil now, LED headlights were only part of 390 Duke and 250 Duke. If you take the 250 Duke, which was launched in 2017, it featured halogen headlights until the BS6 model was launched in 2020.
