Honda 350 Scrambler Render Based On Leaked Sketch – Upcoming Hunter 450 Rival

Honda 350 Scrambler Render based on leaked sketchRE Classic 350, Standard Jawa and Jawa 350 are the rivals to Honda CB350 and upcoming Scrambler version will take on Yezdi Scrambler and upcoming Hunter 450Where classic and neo-retro motorcycles are concerned, the market has a massive shift in gravity in favour of Royal Enfield. Honda is expanding its lineup CB350 lineup to incorporate a new Scrambler and an ADV to rival Royal Enfield offerings as seen from patent designs. We rendered what Honda’s 350c Scrambler could look like based on patents.Honda CB350 Scrambler RenderedOne must be wondering Honda already offers a Scrambler-ish offering based on the CB350 platform. Yes, we’re talking about CB350 RS which is also on sale in Japan as GB350 S. This CB350 RS gets unique and sporty front and rear fenders along with a slightly different seat design over H’ness CB350.Honda 350cc Scrambler – Sketch leaksHowever, the latest design patents filed by Honda show many more changes than what we saw between H’ness CB350 and CB350 RS. So, this motorcycle might be positioned as a whole new product, rather than just a variant of CB350. Rendering artist Pratyush Rout has penned down these differences into photo-realistic renders.Honda 350 Scrambler RenderFor starters, Honda’s latest patents show an all-new fuel tank that is much larger than what the company currently offer. It is taller too and has more cuts and creases to achieve a chiseled look. There are decently designed knee recesses on the fuel tank, enabling the rider to grip the motorcycle more efficiently.Honda 350 Scrambler RenderFuel tank has an exposed frame which could be used to expand practicality. With the frame, Honda will not only increase luggage carrying capacity, it also increase versatility by allowing it to carry jerry cans for extra fuel for long escapades into the wilderness. Other notable changes seen in our render that reflect Honda’s design patents are a smaller side body panel and a much lower seat height.Honda 350 Scrambler RenderIn keeping with Honda’s current theme we went with a single-piece ribbed pattern seat design while patent design had split seats. Other than that, our render has almost similar componentry between them and the same 348.36 cc engine that generates around 21 bhp and 30 Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.Honda’s strategy with 350cc Scrambler and ADVRoyal Enfield currently dominates the classic and neo-retro motorcycle genre in India. They even have a massive market share in the ADV segment with New Himalayan. However, most of RE’s sales come from 350cc motorcycles. Over 60K 350cc REs were sold last month accounting for 93% of RE’s total market share.Honda 350 Scrambler RenderBut Royal Enfield’s 350cc portfolio lacks lifestyle vehicles like Scramblers and ADVs. For those, you need to go to 450cc segment which can cost up to Rs. 4 lakh (on road, Karnataka). Honda is tackling Royal Enfield with lifestyle vehicles in the lower 350cc segment that should be less pricey. Yezdi is doing something similar with their portfolio too. Also read – Honda CB 350 ADV rendered. More

Honda Activa Electric Launch Likely In 2025 – To Rival iQube, Chetak, Rizta

Image for illustration purpose. When launched, Honda Activa Electric will rival the family electric scooters like Ather Rizta, Ola S1 X+ and TVS iQube to name a fewIndia being the largest 2W market in the world, poses a stellar proposition for 2W manufacturers to offer a diverse portfolio, touching a wider audience base. EVs are more of a lucrative option today than they ever did. One of India’s leading 2W manufacturers, Honda, is exploring the promising EV route and the first offering might hit the roads in FY 2025.Legacy 2W manufacturers such as HMSI (Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India) currently lack an electric offering in India. HMSI is poised to redefine Indian 2W electric mobility space with an upcoming EV based on the mighty Activa brand.Honda Activa EV Launch PlansActiva is currently India’s best-selling scooter by a huge margin and has been that way for well over a decade. Associating an EV with the massively popular Activa brand will establish a sense of familiarity. Recent reports suggest HMSI intends to expand its production capacity to incorporate new assembly lines for Activa Electric. If you may recall, HMSI scaled back its expansion plans ahead of stricter BS6 emission norms implementation. Covid-19-related atrocities soon followed and the company’s expansion plans were put on hold until now. In an attempt to scale up production capacity, HMSI has added two new manufacturing lines at their Gujarat and Karnataka plants.Honda ActivaThe new third line at Gujarat plant is projected to bring around 6.6 lakh units of additional volume. A dedicated EV manufacturing line is said to be in the works and might go operational in FY25 to meet growing demands for both 2W ICE and electric vehicles. Combined, the total increment in capacity hovers around 9 lakh units per annum mark. Will Activa Electric be among the biggest impacts on 2W market?Post Covid-19, the market is falling back to its former glory and HMSI is eying to get closer to its peak performance of 5.9 million units in FY19. Past financial year has awarded Honda with a 13% growth in domestic sales with around 4.5 million units in volume and a 25% market share of the total 2W industry of India.Today, India is among the leading economies of the world. Better distribution of incomes, sustained economic growth, normal rainfall, increasing population and increasing consumption among the population can prove to be a perfect recipe for significant growth in the 2W market from both urban and rural areas.Considering the gargantuan popularity of Activa in India, we would reckon upcoming Activa EV might prove to be India’s biggest scooter launch in almost a decade. Considering the conservative and non gimmicky approach to ICE Activa, Honda might strike the right balance between features and pricing to dominate India’s e-scooter market.Source More

There are three variations of CB350 on sale and the sportiest of this bunch is CB350RS, a scrambler-esque motorcycle. A custom Honda CB350RS by Magical Racing gets carbon fibre parts from Magical Racing in Japan.Custom Honda CB350RS By Magical RacingThis CB350 series has spawned three body styles till now and multiple optional packs offering customers some kind of personalisation options right from the OEM. That said, a full-on custom offering with accentuated sportiness is a good proposition for Honda CB350RS and that’s exactly what Magical Racing is aiming for.Honda CB350 RS CustomFor starters, Honda manufactures the CB350 lineup in India and exports it to Japan. CB350 H’ness is sold as GB350, CB350 RS as GB350 S and the newest CB350 (Classic) as GB350 C in Japan. Magical Racing has selected GB350 S owing to its sportiness and has worked its magic on it.Magical Racing did not go overboard with its sportiness criteria and achieved a completely different-looking motorcycle. Instead, what Magical Racing has done is in keeping with the vision Honda had while creating Honda CB350RS. In that regard, we can see subtle changes that lend a sportier appeal than stock.Honda CB350 RS CustomOther notable changesThe main highlight is the carbon fibre ORVM codenamed “NK-1 Mirror” which uses a Type 6 head and 10 mm thread. Other changes we can spot are an FRP rear tail tidy that looks much better than stock. Also notable is an open-type chain cover that looks more industrial and raw, perfectly complementing the new short rear fender.Honda CB350 RS CustomMatching the short rear fender is a short front fender. Both fenders get an option of either a silver finish or a matte black finish. Brackets for both FRP fenders are made of stainless steel. Adding a dash of retro-ness is a short fly screen that is also offered in either silver finish or matte black. These components are from TCW and the stickers on front and rear fenders along with front windscreen come with the package and are optional. Another notable attribute of this build is that lighting elements are kept stock. Metzeler Tourance Next tyres will add a dash of sportiness to the stock vehicle’s dynamics.Honda CB350 RS CustomMagical Racing has established a good unison of carbon fibre, stainless steel and aluminium and achieved a slightly sportier look that should appeal to many. Powertrain is kept stock too. The same 348.36cc air-cooled engine as the stock donor bike develops 21 PS of peak power and 29 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. More

Honda CB350 RS Dirt FreakIn India, Honda CB350 RS Dirt Freak inspired builds might spring up in the future and would be ideal rival to Royal Enfield Hunter 350 based custom buildsThe 3rd Nagoya Motorcycle Show was held in Japan between 5th to 7th April 2024. The show was a prominent platform for many modding companies to exhibit their vision and work. Renowned motorcycle modder Dirt Freak has showcased a Scrambler-style build based on a Honda CB350 RS sold as GB350 S in Japan and is quite spectacular.Honda CB350 RS Dirt Freak Looks EpicIn Honda’s classic-style single-cylinder motorcycle lineup, we have CB350 as a prominent offering. This platform has spawned quite a few variations in the form of H’ness CB350, CB350 RS and CB350. These motorcycles are also shipped to Japan from India and sold as GB350, GB350 S and GB350 C respectively.2024 Honda CB350 RS Dirt Freak DebutsOf these three, CB350 RS or GB350 S is the one that dons a scrambler-esque design language. But for Dirt Freak modding company, GB350 S was not Scrambler enough and they came up with their own take on this genre that looks much more appealing than standard GB350 S sold in Japan. For starters, Dirt Freak’s version of GB350 S looks a lot more capable off the road and on fast trails than standard bike. That is due to the vastly more capable block-pattern tyres used on this build. Increasing protection on off-road terrains, Dirt Freak has used a sturdy metallic bash plate for the engine and metallic reinforcement for exhaust down-pipe.2024 Honda CB350 RS Dirt Freak WindshieldTo protect rider’s knuckles from bushes and other vegetation while off-roading, there are options for Adventure Armour Hand Guard, Sonic Hand Guard and Sonic Hand Guard with optional Carbon or Clear Protector from Zeta Racing. To further aid in off-road escapades, Dirt Freak has gone with a Scrambler-style handlebar and spikey aluminium footpegs, both from Zeta Racing.Enhanced touring capabilityAlong with better off-road ability, touring capabilities of Honda CB350 RS Dirt Freak custom bike have been improved. For starters, the taller handlebar lends an upright riding posture that would be welcome on longer hauls. Bringing wind protection into the picture is Explorer Windshield Handle Brace from Zeta Racing.2024 Honda CB350 RS Dirt Freak Engine ProtectionThis brace supports a sturdy smartphone holder, also from Zeta Racing that riders can use for navigation and other use cases. Bundled in this package are DFG Side Bag Base that allows users to mount saddlebags without a frame. We’re not sure how these knobby tyres would fare on the road for longer hauls, but they look spectacular.Where powertrains are concerned, there are no changes to the stock 348.36cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that kicks out 21 PS of peak power and 29.4 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Dirt Freak have kept other componentry stock. So, the suspension setup, braking and chassis remain identical to a stock GB350 S sold in Japan. More
