New Honda Activa 7G Scooter Teased Ahead Of Launch ?

Honda is the highest-selling scooter manufacturer in India whose sales charts are led by Activa seriesNew Honda Activa 7G Scooter Teased?Honda is currently a default choice when it comes to scooters as it is the highest-selling scooter brand in India. When scooter sales figures are analyzed, among all other scooters in India, Activa sells the most. It alone sells more than the immediate next 8 highest-selling scooters combined.Activa is currently offered in 6G guise and sells like hot cakes. My own family bought one without even giving it a second thought. Such is its popularity. Honda is synonymous with scooterization in India. So much so, that we wanted Forza 350 maxi-scooter to launch in India instead of the generic-looking CB300F street bike that was launched yesterday.New Honda Activa 7GHonda Activa range currently comprises Activa 6G and Activa 125. Activa 6G also has a sporty sibling in the form of Dio which recently got limited edition colour schemes to give more swag to an already swaggy scooter. Same idea is also implied on Activa 125 in the form of Grazia which comes off as its sportier alternative.Honda just dropped a new teaser on social media with a “Coming Soon” phrase slapped onto it. We can see the face of a scooter. The scooter is greyed out, but its face is distinguishable. It is of standard Activa and not the Activa 125. We can say for sure because Activa 125 doesn’t get its front turn indicators flanking the headlight.New Honda Activa 7G Scooter Teased?Instead, they’re found on a chrome beltline above the front mudguard. But standard Activa gets front turn indicators flanking its headlights as seen in the new teaser. So, Honda seems to be prepping Activa 7G for the festive season to boost already unrivaled sales. Not a lot is known about Activa 7G as info that could be extracted from the teaser is fairly meek. But in Honda fashion, we can expect more teasers soon. What To Expect?Honda 7G is unlikely to be a significant update over 6G like 6G was over 5G. Because Activa 6G was the one that brought BS6 transition and a host of new updates. Activa 7G is likely to get the same powertrain which is a 110cc motor making 7.68 bhp and 8.79 Nm. Activa 7G will get subtle changes over 6G.Honda Activa 7G will get all the strengths of 6G like, fuel efficiency, boot space, 692 mm seat height, low step-through floor board, silent starter motor, and a lot more. It will even get an external fuel filler cap that upcoming Hero sporty 125cc scooter miss out on. Honda could make the semi-digital instrument cluster and LED headlights as standard fitment on Activa 7G which was optional with Deluxe variant on Activa 6G.As it is a generation leap, Activa 7G can get some tweaks to 6G’s engine too to make it a little more fuel efficient. Yamaha offers a mild-hybrid tech on Fascino and Ray ZR and Honda could fit something similar on the highest-selling scooter in India. The Japanese brand is likely to raise the price too. Right now, Activa 6G costs Rs. 73K for Standard trim and 75K for Deluxe trim and competes with TVS Jupiter 110, Hero Pleasure+, Hero Maestro Edge 110, and Honda’s own Dio. More

    Honda Formidable 300cc Motorcycle Launch Price Rs 2.26 L – New CB300F

Honda has launched the street naked CB300F today – Two variants are on offer, with prices starting from Rs 2.26 lakh, ex-shNew Honda CB300FHonda had been on the run of creating a lot of hype for a month teasing us multiple times with their new “Formidable” product. A product we all thought would be a Forza 350 maxi scooter is actually the CB300F, a naked street motorcycle. So, the F is what coined the term “Formidable”.Honda dubs CB300F as “Advanced Street Fighter”. Remember the CB650F? A faired motorcycle that was launched in India before CB650R? It had a sharp fairing based on its street counterpart. But this CB300F is not a faired version of CB300R that is already on offer in India.Honda CB300F DesignStarting from CB92, Honda’s CB series has always been one of the most successful for the Japanese brand. CB300F gets a masculine and toned fuel tank giving the bike an international streetfighter charisma. The rider’s triangle is a little committed and sporty. But it also gives a lot of aggression too.It also gets a split seat, and a compact muffler. Also, stylish V-shaped alloy wheels look good too. But the main attention is obviously drawn towards the gold USD forks at the front, though. Complementing the gold on USD forks are copper-colored engine head and clutch cover with a proud Honda branding. CB300F offers a lot of road presence within the mid-size street sports category.New Honda CB300FSpecs & FeaturesThe heart of the matter for this Honda CB300F is its pulsating heart. It displaces 293cc and gets a modern DOHC setup along with a 4V head. This engine makes 18 KW ( around 24 bhp) of peak power and 25.6 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and to take things a notch higher, it also gets a slipper clutch along with oil-cooling too.Honda has tried to provide a safety net for CB300F riders in the form of HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) and Dual Channel ABS . HSTC is Honda’s proprietary tech and helps modulate the engine torque when slippage is detected. Sounds a lot like Traction Control, doesn’t it? Well, it is, but with a fancy name. That’s not all. Honda is claiming that there are 10 patented tech on CB300F too. Fancy, eh?In terms of features, Honda has made sure that CB300F is not left out to come out as bland. So, Honda offers smartphone connectivity along with a fully digital instrument console which gets five stages of brightness adjustment too. Honda has not mentioned exact functionalities of its Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCS), just yet. It gets LED lighting all around, rear mono-shock suspension, front USD forks, and a fat 150-section tyre at the rear ensuring massive presence along with optimal grip.New Honda CB300FPrice & CompetitionHonda CB300F is available in two variants – Deluxe & Deluxe Pro. Both these variants get three color options, Mat Axis Grey Metallic, Mat Marvel Blue Metallic and Sports Red. Prices start at Rs. 2,25,900 for Deluxe trim and Rs. 2,28,900 for Deluxe Pro trim (both prices ex-showroom, New Delhi). If you want to, you can book it at Honda’s Big Wing dealerships.CB300F falls in a weird category. Looking at its 24 bhp and 25.6 Nm torque, it is less powerful than 250 Duke, Dominar 250, and Gixxer 250. But in terms of pricing, it tries to dance with Bajaj Dominar 400 too which makes 39.2 bhp and 35 Nm. Heck, for around Rs. 50,000 more, one can buy Honda’s own CB300R, BMW G 310 R, and KTM 390 Duke too. More

Honda Dio Sports Limited Edition Launch Price Rs 68k – New Graphics

Honda Dio shares its 110cc engine and frame with the India’s No 1 selling scooter, ActivaHonda Dio Sports Edition Launched Dio Sports is Honda’s attempt at providing a sporty experience to its customers. The Japanese brand may not be highest-selling motorcycle company in India, but is the highest-selling scooter brand. With 2,85,691 units sold in June 2022, Honda is the second highest-selling 2-wheeler brand in the country, after Hero. But if we break down Honda’s sales, it sold 1,84,305 Activa in June 2022. But Dio is not that high up the list with just 26,450 units sold in the same month. So, to spruce up sales figures, Honda has launched a new Sports limited edition of Dio.Honda Dio Sports EditionDio was already a swaggy alternative to the conventional scooter, that is Activa. But with the new Dio Sports, Honda is adding a little more swag. For starters, Dio Sports is a limited edition and comes in two colours, Strontium Silver Metallic with Black and Sports Red with Black. Both these colours are offered with both Standard & Deluxe variants. Aiming at the youth, Honda wants to revolutionize style for youth with an aggressive and sporty vibe.In terms of changes, Dio Sports gets a few. To begin with, it gets new funky and youthful graphics on body panels. The rear suspension springs for its twin shockers are now finished in red. Suspension hardware is the same, though. Next change in line is only applicable to the Deluxe variant and that is the new 5-spoke alloy wheels. Earlier Dio Deluxe variants used to get gold-coloured steel wheels. Take a look at the short walkaround video below, credit to Engineered Biker.[embedded content][embedded content]Specs & PricingMechanically, Dio Sports is identical to the model currently on sale. Both engine and cycle parts are identical except for the alloy wheels on Deluxe variant. It is powered by a 110 cc single-cylinder, fuel-sipping petrol engine making 7.65 bhp at 8,000 RPM and 9 Nm at 4,750 RPM. This engine also gets Honda’s proprietary eSP technology (Enhanced Smart Power & not Electronic Stability Program).Honda Dio gets 160 mm of ground clearance and weighs only 105 kg. Other notable features include an integrated dual function switch, external fuel lid, passing switch and side stand indicator (with engine cut-off). It gets telescopic suspension at the front. A glaring omission on a sporty scooter is the absence of disc brakes even as an option. It also gets a combi-brake system (CBS) with equalizer and 3-step adjustable rear suspension along with a 3-Step Eco Indicator for better fuel efficiency. The external fuel filler lid is a godsend feature that upcoming Hero 125cc scooter misses out on.In terms of pricing, Honda Dio Sports limited edition prices start from Rs. 68,317 for the base Standard trim and go all the way to Rs. 73,317 for top-spec Deluxe variant (prices ex-sh). Niceties like LED headlights, LED DRLs and alloy wheels are only exclusive to Deluxe variant. Dio Sports compete with other 110cc scooters like Hero Pleasure +, TVS Scooty Zest 110, TVS Jupiter 110, and Honda’s own Activa. More

New Honda Formidable Big Wing Exclusive Teaser – Forza 350cc Scooter ?

Honda Big Wing dealer network is only found in select big cities exclusive to selling premium productsHonda Forza 350cc – MotoBikeHonda India has set to launch a new product in the country on 8th August 2022. As the launch is nearing, Honda has been generating good buzz around the product. Now, Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India Ltd has released another teaser for its upcoming Big Wing launch. This new teaser gives out some speculations which favour our previous conclusions.Big Wing products don’t really contribute much to the sales charts. The current cheapest Big Wing offering is CB350 and it sold 2,120 units in India and exported 1,500 units to global markets. But Honda is set to launch a new Big Wing product on 8th of August, 2022. Described as the “Formidable”, let’s break it down to see what’s what.Honda India New Teaser – The FormidableHonda’s new teaser reveals some of the attributes of its upcoming launch. Since it is a Big Wing exclusive, we can discard budget and mid-range products altogether. Looking at the teaser, Honda is hinting us that its upcoming launch premium product will have a fierce design, fast acceleration, furious stance, a fighter attitude and fearless performance. It can’t be CB350 Brigade as registration status still says “Formalities check pass”.The teaser gives out urban vibes and stresses sophistication and power. We can also see a highway tribute too. The main highlight of this product will be city commutes and occasional highway stretches. It will also signify performance and presence. Looking at these attributes, we strongly believe that it will be a Forza 350 maxi scooter. Because the way Honda signifies the letter ‘F’ is reminiscent of Forza 350. Due to Urban vibes from the teaser, we can strike out CRF300L off-roader that was recently spotted in India.[embedded content][embedded content]Because it is a Big Wing exclusive, the possibility of it being 150cc or lower, is pretty meek. But it is highly likely to be the Forza 350 that is sold in select markets globally. Forza maxi scooter is not exactly a new thing for Big Wing dealers in Gurugram. Forza 350 is the logical successor for Forza 300 which was sold in India too. Only four of them were sold to customers in India. What To Expect?New Honda Forza 350 made its first appearance at the Bangkok International Motor Show last year and looked mostly similar to the Forza 300. The new maxi scooter is powered by a 330cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine replacing the 279cc engine from Forza 300.This unit is capable enough to churn out 28.8bhp at 7,500 RPM and 31.5Nm of torque at 5,250 RPM. Honda has given it a lighter crankshaft, larger valves and a bigger throttle body. All these upgrades allow it to clock a top speed of 137 kmph.New Honda Forza ScooterIn terms of features, it gets a full LED lighting setup and an electrically adjustable windshield with a travel of 180mm. It also gets Honda’s Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). Forza 350 rides on a 15” front wheel and a 14” rear wheel and is offered with disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard.Suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks in front and twin shocks at rear. Forza 350 weighs just a little over 180kg. Launch price could be in the Rs 2.5 lakh range. At this price, it competes with newly launched Vieste 300 and Sixties 300i premium scooters from Benelli Keeway. More

    2022 Honda CBR150R Repsol Edition Debuts – Yamaha R15 M Rival

Honda CBR150R Repsol Edition is derived from Honda’s MotoGP machine with similar colour scheme2022 Honda CBR150R Repsol EditionHonda Motorcycles & Scooter India is currently the second largest two-wheeler manufacturer currently on sale in India in terms of sales volume. They are like Maruti Suzuki when it comes to scooter sales. Honda scooters like Activa series are the default for most people and sold 1,84,305 units in June 2022 as seen in top 10 scooter sales.Motorcycle side, they have the CB Shine which is currently the second highest-selling motorcycle in the country after Hero Splendor, of course. But when it comes to faired sporty motorcycles, we used to get both CBR150R and CBR250R. But now, we don’t get both of those motorcycles for reasons best known to Honda. It’s not like India is a dead market for sporty faired motorcycles with a smaller 150cc engine. We have YZF-R15 from Yamaha which is ridiculously expensive and also the brilliant Suzuki Gixxer SF. But unfortunately, we don’t get CBR150R here in India since its discontinuation in 2017. But Malaysia gets it and to add salt to our wounds, it recently got the Repsol Edition too.Honda CBR150R Repsol EditionRepsol Edition is a way for Honda to give its smaller machines a look like its prized MotoGP machine. Because it is mechanically identical to the normal CBR150R on which it is based. Repsol Edition brings with it the iconic orange splash like on MotoGP machine. This iconic orange is found almost everywhere including its sharp fairing, fuel tank, subframe and also 17” alloy wheels. On the side fairing, it also gets a dash of white and red.2022 Honda CBR150R Repsol EditionWe can also see Repsol livery proudly adorning the motorcycle on side fairing and the front. The front Repsol livery looks a little too much, in our opinion. But hey, that’s what Honda gives. But what seals the deal is the fact that this Repsol Edition will be sold in limited numbers. 800, to be precise.Specs & CompetitionHonda CBR150R is powered by a 149.16 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC unit which dishes out 17.1 bhp of peak power at 9,000 RPM and 14.4Nm of peak torque at 7,000 RPM. It gets a Diamond type frame, Showa SFF Big-piston USD forks at front and a mono-shock unit doing duties at the rear.CBR150R gets a 276 mm petal disc up front and a 220 mm petal disc at the rear wheel. It gets dual-channel ABS but only in higher-spec variants. Honda CBR150R tips the scale at just 139 kg. Honda CBR150R Repsol Edition costs RM 13,499 in Malaysia, which is approximately Rs. 2.42 lakh when converted. It is still cheaper than rival Yamaha R15M, which is priced at RM 14,998 or Rs 2.7 lakh.2022 Honda CBR150R Repsol EditionHonda CBR150R comes off as less of a performer as it makes slightly less power and torque than its arch-rival, Yamaha YZF-R15, as seen in a dedicated comparison post between the two. Considering the success of R15, Honda CBR150R makes a lot of sense in India. We say India because, Honda has patented the CBR150R in our country and might be even considering it too. Honda is set to launch a new product in India on 8th of August 2022. We predict that it would be the Forza 350 maxi-scooter or the CRF300L ADV as the upcoming launch is exclusive to BigWings dealerships. But there is a tiny possibility that Honda can launch the CBR150R too. We can only say for sure next month. More

Honda CB350 Brigade Trademark Filed – New Classic 350 Rival?

Honda CB350 is currently sold in either DLX, DLX Pro, Anniversary Edition and the RS specNew Honda CB350 Brigade Name Trademark Filed In IndiaWhen we talk about Honda motorcycles, products like CB Shine are the second-highest selling motorcycle in the country, after Hero Splendor. But when we talk about scooters, Activa is the king and is expected to be for the foreseeable future. But Honda’s premium offerings like H’ness CB350 constitute about 50 times fewer sales than Activa. This is expected in a country like India where commuters and budget scooters outsell everything. But Honda CB350 is a retro-styled motorcycle that aims at nostalgic customers.A similar strategy is employed by Royal Enfield and their Classic 350, arch-rival to CB350, sold 25,425 units in June 2022 and 29,959 units in May 2022. Where Honda H’ness CB350 sold 3,308 units in May 2022. This is a staggering difference between two different products aiming at the same audience. CB350 makes 20.78 bhp and 30 Nm which is more than Classic 350’s 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm. Still, Classic 350 is unmatched at this point.Honda CB350 BrigadeIn an attempt to drive more sales, Honda is aiming to hit the Indian nostalgia a little more. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has recently filed a trademark for CB350 Brigade name in India. Earlier this month, we saw Honda share a new teaser invite for 8th Aug. Are they getting ready to launch Honda CB350 Brigade on that date?New Honda CB350 Brigade Name Trademark Filed In IndiaThe Honda teaser had the word Formidable mentioned. Is it the teaser for CB350 Brigade – The Formidable Brigade Coming Soon? Only time will tell. Other options include Forza 350 maxi-scooter or CRF300L ADV CRF300L ADV was recently spotted in a Honda dealership which might be the more probable product to be launched in India next month. So, what is Honda CB350 Brigade? Is it a new variant like we got the CB350RS? CB350 Brigade might be Honda’s attempt to pay homage to the Indian armed forces. It might be a special defence forces edition of CB350. This is not a new concept as Royal Enfield has been doing it for quite some time now. Even Jawa and Yezdi have done the same. With 15th Aug being India’s Independence Day, that is a possibility.Launch & CompetitionFrom Royal Enfield stables, we have seen Pegasus 500 and 350 Signals Edition. Pegasus 500 was a limited edition model which was designed to pay tribute to Royal Enfield’s involvement with British Army in World War II. It was limited to only 1,000 units worldwide. Some of those 1,000 units were also sold in India. Pegasus 500 was only offered with Classic 500 and in two exclusive shades namely, Olive Drab Green and Service Brown. While Signals Edition is not a limited edition like the Pegasus 500 was. Also, Signals Edition is only offered in India unlike Pegasus 500 which was offered globally. Signals Edition was heavily inspired by Pegasus 500 in terms of looks, but was offered here in India based on Classic 350. Royal Enfield Signals Edition is an attempt by the Chennai-based company to pay tributes to Indian Military. It was offered in two colours namely, Airborne Blue and Stormrider Sand.We can expect Honda CB350 to get a similar vibe as Royal Enfield Classic 350 Signals Edition. It might also feature the numbering like Signals Edition too and get exclusive colours. Right now, Honda CB350 range starts from Rs. 1.95 lakh (ex-sh) and we expect Brigade variant to be priced at a premium of Rs. 15,000.  More
