For Pulsar 400, the engine could be tweaked in line with the bike’s focus on speed and agility. The current model has a sporty profile, but there’s scope for improvement in line with evolving design aesthetics. A sportier fairing, along with some new colours and graphics can significantly transform the Pulsar RS200.2024 Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 to get digital speedo from NS 200In terms of functional updates, 2024 Pulsar RS200 is expected to get a LED headlamp. Another key update can be USD forks at front. Pulsar RS200 has 17-inch wheels, shod with 100/80 front and 130/70 rear tyres. At rear, the Nitrox mono shock absorber with Canister will be carried forward.Bajaj Pulsar 400 RenderPulsar RS200 has 300 mm and 230 mm disc brakes at front and rear, respectively. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard. It remains to be seen if ABS ride modes will be introduced with new Pulsar RS200. This feature can be borrowed from Pulsar N250 that has ABS ride modes of Road, Rain and Offroad. Battery is likely to be the same 2.9 kWh unit that is offered with Chetak Urbane promising a range of 113 km. Or something smaller still.For reference, top-spec Chetak Premium gets a larger 3.2 kWh battery promising a range of 126 km on a single charge. There are no Hydrogen-powered vehicles on sale in India and there never have been. A few car manufacturers in India have expressed their interest in Hydrogen fuel, but Bajaj is the first to explore possibilities of hydrogen powertrain in 2W and 3W vehicles.The company is exploring hydrogen-powered powertrains under their Chetak Technology Ltd subsidiary. This way, Chetak intends to establish a major position for itself in Indian 2W market by being the first OEM in the Asian subcontinent to venture into Hydrogen powertrain territory. That said, Joy e-bike is developing a Hydrogen powered scooter it would be interesting to see which one of these will launch first.The revelation came when Bajaj Auto appointed Abraham Joseph as the Managing Director of its subsidiary brand, Chetak Technology Limited (CTL). Announcing the change in leadership, one of Bajaj Auto’s statements was “CTL will explore the potential of hydrogen vehicles, further expanding Bajaj Auto’s ability to deliver technologically differentiated products.”Bajaj considering Hydrogen-powered ChetakPreviously, Abraham Joseph filled the position the CTO of Bajaj Auto Limited. A position that will now be filled by Ramtilak Ananthan who assumes the CTO role for Bajaj Auto. Ramtilak Ananthan has performed various roles at Bajaj Auto including VP of Bajaj’s R&D in 2013 and Head of Test & Validation at Bajaj Auto in 2019.As of writing this article, we’re not sure what stage Chetak’s Hydrogen powertrain is in. Also, it is unsure whether Chetak is going for Hydrogen Fuel Cells or a Hydrogen IC engine. This time around, it will be launched under the Pulsar umbrella.Bajaj Pulsar 400 spy shotsOwing to Bajaj’s naming strategies in domestic and export markets, initial speculations on “Biggest Pulsar Ever” revolved around a re-branded Dominar 400 as Pulsar 400. However, recent spy images from The Fat Biker reveal first look at the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 400.From the looks of it, these images seem to be captured at Bajaj’s storage within their manufacturing facility. We can see bubble wrap on the motorcycle’s fuel tank indicating that it might be on the verge of being transported. Probably to dealerships. We can see a new face Bajaj is going for and some bits of handlebar and engine compartment.Bajaj Pulsar 400 spy shotsHeadlight design is unique to this Pulsar 400 and is an amalgamation of Pulsar N series and the new Pulsar NS series.
