New Tata Avinya Electric SUV Production Spec Render – 6 Colours

Apart from changes related to engineering and practical limitations, Avinya production variant will be as close as recently unveiled conceptNew Tata Avinya Electric SUV – Production Spec RenderWhile Avinya has got everyone’s attention, not many thought it would actually reach the assembly line. It was the sheer flamboyance and radical design of the concept that prompted folks to think that way. To everyone’s surprise, Tata Motors has now confirmed that Avinya will in fact be launched by 2025. Of course, there’s tons of work that needs to be done.New Tata Avinya Electric SUVAvinya will be 4.3 meters long, but cabin space will be similar to that of a 4.6-4.7 meter SUV like Harrier. It would be made possible by the new electric skateboard architecture that allows for a longer wheelbase. The platform also has ample space for a large battery pack, which will boost the EV’s range. Similar to Nexon EV, Avinya will have a ground clearance of 200 mm.For practical purposes, features like suicide doors and 22-inch wheels are unlikely to make it to production stage. There could be other changes as well across exteriors and interiors. As Tata Motors is targeting the closest possible match with the concept model, it’s going to be a challenging task for the design team.According to Tata Motors’ Head of Global Design, Martin Ulharik, their team has been working on Avinya for the last 8 months. The focus has been both on the concept version as well as the production variant. As this is a highly ambitious project, time till 2025 is the least that’s needed to make Avinya roadworthy. Based on the concept, Pratyush Rout has created a render of production spec Tata Avinya electric SUV.New Tata Avinya Electric SUV – Production Spec RenderTata Avinya rangeTata Motors will be targeting a range of more than 500 km with the production variant of Avinya EV. The battery pack is likely to support ultra-fast charging, allowing users to add 500 km in just around 30 minutes. However, this will require a fast-charging hub and won’t be possible with the standard home socket. The numbers are closer to that of the Tesla Model S that can load up around 200 miles (~322 km) in 15 minutes using a supercharger.Among features that are expected to be the same as the concept, Avinya production model is likely to retain the new Tata logo. On the concept, it can be seen as a sporty LED element at both front and back.New Tata Avinya Electric SUV – Production Spec RenderBy the time Avinya hits the showrooms, Tata would have launched its Curvv coupe EV. It is expected to debut by 2024. With a range of around 500 km, Curvv EV will take on rivals like Hyundai Kona Electric and MG ZS EV.In the company’s line-up, Curvv mid-size SUV coupe will be positioned above Nexon. Curvv utilizes an entirely new versatile platform that can support both electric and IC engine powertrains. The EV version will debut first, followed by petrol and diesel models. ICE powered Curvv models will compete with rivals such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and upcoming Toyota/Maruti SUV. More

It directly competes against the likes of Yamaha MT15 and Honda CB150R.2023 CFMoto 150NK UpdatesFor 2023, the Australia-spec 150NK gets dual-channel ABS instead of single-channel ABS offered previously, thus, making it safer for beginner riders. CFMOTO’s small-capacity naked bikes in the NK range are extremely popular among sporty riders on a budget, especially in Australia. While overall styling of CFMoto 150NK stands distinct, some components like the exposed trellis frame, double-sided swingarm and extended tank shrouds seem to be inspired by the KTM Duke range. Other visual highlights include a sharp LED headlight flanked by LED indicators, a muscular fuel tank, a raised tail section, split-style seats and split grab rails for a pillion.2023 CFMoto 150cc Motorcycle – 150NKDynamics & Engine SpecsApart from its sharp styling, 150NK receives eye-catching colorways in form of silver body panels and graphics, Turquoise Blue or Titanium Grey liveries on the trellis frame, and sleek black alloy wheels. Output on 150NK is slightly lower as compared to its rivals.Specs of RivalsFor instance, the updated version of Yamaha MT-15 is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that kicks out 18.14 bhp and a peak torque of 14.1 Nm. On the other hand, Honda CB 150R is powered by a 149.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that pushes out 16.1 bhp and 13.6 Nm of peak torque. Both Japanese motorcycles are offered with a 6-speed gearbox. As for pricing, CFMoto has priced 2023 CFMoto 150NK at AUD 4,290 (approx. INR 2.35 lakh) which is quite steep for a bike in the 150cc category. 150NK is unlikely to launch in India anytime soon. More

2022 KTM RC 390 Launched In Two New Colours – First Look Walkaround

KTM RC 390, like all the existing KTM products in India, is manufactured by Bajaj Auto at its Chakan-based facility2022 KTM RC 390 India Spec Launched. Image – ThrustzoneKTM has been in a transition phase for the past few months with new models replacing their predecessors. The latest to join this list is the new-gen RC 390 which has been launched at a price of Rs 3.14 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the final model of the locally built RC lineup to launch in India.Earlier last year, the Austrian brand launched new-gen models of RC 125 and RC 200 in the country. However, the new KTM RC 390 continued to face multiple delays – likely due to chips shortage. Like its smaller siblings, the new-gen RC 390 has undergone a significant amount of updates both in terms of fashion and function.2022 KTM RC 390 Launched- DesignFor starters, like RC 125 and RC 200, RC 390 now receives a single-piece headlamp, flanked by integrated LED DRLs and turn indicators on side encasings, a larger front windscreen and a more muscular fuel tank. Other visual updates include completely redesigned bodywork, revised body graphics, sharper rearview mirrors and a two-piece front fender.A wider front fairing ensures that the new RC 390 gets better aerodynamics than its predecessor. Aerodynamic qualities are further enhanced thanks to the revised side fairings which include air vents to ensure optimized airflow. Other styling details include new body graphics, a raised tail section with new split-style seats and a side-in upswept exhaust muffler. Below is a first look walkaround of the new KTM RC 390, credited to Thrustzone.[embedded content][embedded content]Ergonomics of the faired sports bike seems to have eased to a certain extent due to the presence of an adjustable clip-on handlebar which is 15mm higher in its stock settings. However, riding posture still remains very much committed thanks to rear-set footpegs and a large fuel tank in between the rider and handlebar. The bike has a 322kg gross wt while its kerb weight is pegged at 155kg.Specs & FeaturesRC 390 gets the same steel trellis frame, however, like its other two siblings, the fully-faired sports bike gets a new bolt-on rear subframe for better on-road dynamics. Suspension setup comprises USD forks at front and a mono-shock unit at the rear with a braced alloy swingarm. The entire setup is adjustable. Braking duties will be handled by 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes aided by a dual-channel ABS sourced from Bosch.Powering the new RC 390 is a familiar 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled petrol engine that pumps out 43 bhp at a peak torque of 37Nm at 7,000rpm. The motor is linked to a 6-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch. The bike measures 1,965 mm in length, 799 mm in width, 1,145 mm in seat height and its wheelbase is 1,347 mm.When it comes to features, RC 390 is packed with gizmos like an all-LED lighting system, a digital TFT instrument console, Bluetooth-based connectivity features via KTM My Ride app, traction control, a standard quick-shifter and cornering ABS. Our Editor-in-Chief's Former Lancia Fulvia Is Today's Bring a Trailer Auction Pick

    • Dressed in Lancia Blue, this 1968 Fulvia coupe is a rare and handsome little car with surprisingly advanced engineering. • The tiny 1.3-liter narrow-angle V-4 charges out about 87 horsepower and (when new) propelled the roughly 2000-pound car to 60 mph in 12.6 seconds, according to a period test in Road & Track.• An interesting and more affordable alternative to an Alfa Romeo GTV of the same vintage, the Fulvia is so rare that you’re almost ensured that you’ll never see another one outside a Lancia club meeting. It’s up for auction on Bring a Trailer, with bidding ending on Tuesday, May 24.It’s more than a little strange when explicit photos of your ex appear on the internet. But that’s exactly what happened this week when 150 photos of my ex–Lancia Fulvia popped up on Bring a Trailer—which, like Car and Driver, is part of Hearst Autos. It was my first classic. I bought the Lancia Blue on tan vinyl 1968 Series 1 Fulvia after spotting it on Bring a Trailer at the end of 2008. Back then, Bring a Trailer listed interesting and oddball cars; the addictive auction site it has now become was still a few years away.

    Bring a Trailer

Purchased on the sage advice of contributor Jamie Kitman, who assured me that his Fulvia would likely be the last car he’d sell out of his 30-plus-car collection, I drove out to Connecticut from Michigan in C/D’s long-term Jaguar XF to see and drive the Fulvia. I enlisted the help of Lancia mechanic Frank Spadaro of Dominick European Car Repair in White Plains, New York, to give me another set of eyes and an expert’s opinion. Although we spotted some rusty floorboards, the car came with a replacement set. Spadaro noted a few other minor issues, including a carburetor feeding a bit too much fuel.

    Bring a Trailer

The seller had imported the car from Italy, painted it, retrimmed the interior, and swapped in a newer engine. While it’s never a good idea to look at a car in the rain—everything seems nicer and cozier when it’s wet out, and it’s tough to properly examine the paint—the weather didn’t cooperate. I missed a few paint cracks, but overall the Fulvia appeared as advertised. A few days short of my 35th birthday, I bought it, and the car went directly to White Plains for a minor restoration that included a few rust repairs, fuel-system cleaning, and tuning to bring it up to tip-top mechanical shape. A strong-running Fulvia is a joy to command. A ridiculously long shift lever sprouts from the firewall, but the movement through the four forward speeds is slick and precise. Rushing the one-two shift results in a graunch from the synchros, something noted in the Road & Track test of the Fulvia coupe. A delicate precision is infused throughout the machinery, from the way the doors click shut to the unassisted steering’s surprising feedback when bent into a corner. There’s nothing particularly interesting about the control-arm front and beam-axle rear suspension other than the transverse leaf spring that suspends the front. Push as hard as you like, the Fulvia simply gobbles up abuse, a trait that helped make it a world-championship-winning rally car.

    Bring a Trailer

Credit for the light feel is part tuning, but it’s also the 2000-pound curb weight, a number that’s only about 100 pounds heavier than the 2005 Lotus Elise that replaced the Lancia. Fixed exterior panels are steel, and mine came with aluminum doors, hood, and trunklid. Opening the hood shows off the narrow-angle V-4 that sits canted at about 45 degrees, and the entire powertrain and front suspension mounts to a subframe. Power travels to the front wheels, and the longitudinal four-cylinder hangs out in front of the front-axle line as in most modern Audis.

On the highway, the Fulvia cruised happily at 80 mph, and the narrow-angle four hummed a happy thrum, snarled through the intake, and rumbled out the exhaust. Around town the 1.3-liter engine made enough power to accelerate briskly when floored. R&T clocked a 12.6-second time to 60 mph and an 18.6-second quarter run at 75 mph. The mechanical tune it sings is one that you want to last, and since it’s not quick, you get to hear the engine working and the transmission humming. Unassisted four-wheel disc brakes stopped the little coupe quickly and offered a nice firm pedal with strong bite.I’d intended on using it as a daily driver after moving to Los Angeles, but a brake master-cylinder failure early on in its time in SoCal made me a bit gun-shy about using it to run out to buy kale salads and avocados and all the things you do when you live in California. Parts are surprisingly plentiful and aren’t expensive. Other than a generator rebuild in 2010 or so, the Fulvia never asked for any attention. The Lancia community is tiny, so when I started talking about selling, a buyer quickly emerged whose enthusiasm for the car gave me confidence that it would be looked after. Over the years the current owner, and now seller, invited me to visit and drive the Fulvia. Check-ins have always included a report on all of the work and love he’s poured into it. Lancia made the Fulvia coupe from 1965 to 1976. It’s much more commonly seen in Europe than in the States, where it’s an exceedingly rare vehicle. Take one to a car show and be prepared to answer a lot of questions including, “What kind of Corvair is this?” But, the upside is you’ll meet a lot of memorable people because this is an interesting car that attracts interesting people. The auction ends on Tuesday, May 24, so at this point there are only a few days left to score one of the most beautiful and special little cars I’ve ever owned.
