Mahindra XUV700 EV Coupe Interiors Spied – Dashboard, Sunroof, Seats, Steering

Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeUpcoming Mahindra XUV700 EV Coupe (XUV.e9) is likely to pack 80 kWh battery powering up to two electric motors with 200 km/h top speedTesting for Mahindra’s INGLO platform based vehicles is going in full swing. We have managed to get our hands on spy shots of XUV.e8, XUV.e9 and BE.05 electric SUV engineering test mules across the country. The latest spy shots show the interiors of Mahindra XUV700 EV Coupe (XUV.e9) in full detail. Let’s take a look.Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeWith electric vehicles taking more prominence than they ever did, more OEMs are taking the electric route. Mahindra is no exception and sells XUV400 in India. However, the company is on the verge of launching its INGLO platform-based born electric vehicles that will play a major role in Mahindra’s global expansion strategies.Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeIn the recent past, we posted XUV.e9’s interiors while it was loading on a plane, ready to be shipped abroad. For testing or for shooting TVCs, we presumed. But those test mules had a lot of testing equipment and were not very clear, showing fewer details about Mahindra’s upcoming electric coupe SUV.The new spy shots, however, show XUV.e9’s interiors in full clarity, revealing a lot more details we couldn’t grasp with previous spy shots. For starters, we can see that Mahindra XUV700 EV Coupe (XUV.e9) shares a lot of its switchgear and almost all of its components with XUV700. This is not a bad thing as XUV700 is quite a feature-loaded offering.Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeDashboard is the same as Mahindra XUV700’s, but we get a new free-standing triple-screen setup that takes centre stage. Dual-zone climate control panel and AC vents, headlight control stalk, wiper control stalk, interior door trims, centre console, seats, armrests and other attributes are the same as those of XUV700.Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeWhat are the changes?Apart from the new triple-screen layout that we mentioned above, there are a lot of new elements that these new spy shots show. For starters, there is a new twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo (Tata Motors vibes here). It is leather-wrapped and has horn pads at the ends for easy reach with thumbs (love it).Centre console still retains the lovely physical infotainment dial from XUV700, but there is a new and fancier gear selector with Blue accents. There seem to be extra speakers with XUV.e9 as suggested by the grill at the top of door trims, but this might just be a non-functional pattern too. What will be functional, though, is a hollow space on the dashboard which will be populated by a large HUD in the future.Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeThe illuminated logo we mentioned on XUV.e9 is likely to be specific to XUV.e lineup. This is a brand new logo, which looks an infinity. It is different than Mahindra’s Twin Peaks logo. So, we get old oval Mahindra logo for CVs, Twin Peaks for PVs, a new “Infinity” logo for XUV.e range and BE logo for, well, BE range of vehicles. We also get a closer look at the leather seats as well as the fixed glass roof. Powertrains-wise, we expect Mahindra XUV700 EV Coupe (XUV.e9) to pack up to an 80 kWh battery and an option for dual motor AWD layout with around 200 km/h top speed. Launch is likely to happen in 2025 and will rival Tata Safari EV.Also read – Mahindra BE.05 base model gets unique fascia More

Mahindra BE.05 Base Variant, Production-spec Lighting, Alloy Wheels, Roof Carrier Spied

Mahindra BE.05 New DetailsWhen compared to the flamboyant front fascia of top variants, Mahindra BE.05 base variant gets a unique and simpler fasciaWith electric onslaught ambitions, Mahindra has curated a separate environment for its upcoming global EVs. These SUVs are based on INGLO born electric platform. The smallest and most popular and affordable vehicle from this platform will be BE.05. New spy shots reveal more details about this very vehicle. Let’s take a look.Mahindra BE.05 Base VariantBefore getting on with the new attributes spotted with top-spec Mahindra BE.05, we have to talk about the recently spied base model and everything there is to know about it. After all, it is the most affordable variant of the most affordable INGLO platform based on Mahindra’s global electric vehicles.Mahindra BE.05 Base VariantFor starters, production-spec lighting elements for Mahindra BE.05’s base variant seem to be finalised. Seeing it in new spy shots from automotive enthusiast Subhas Das, we were in for a surprise. We say this because the base variant of BE.05 gets a unique fascia when compared to the production-spec top-spec variant’s fascia.Base variant misses out on the massive C-shaped LED DRLs and instead gets simplified horizontal LED DRLs. Below these DRLs are unique-to-base-model projector headlights in a large circular housing. Other notable elements include two vertical trims in the front that lend a unique look. Reminds me of a Jaguar I-Pace.Mahindra BE.05 Base VariantBase variant also gets steel wheels in a black shade. Addressing the elephant in the room, Mahindra BE.05 test mule had a massive roof carrier that looked absolutely wild. In a good way, of course. This roof carrier is likely to be for testing purposes only. But it blends with car’s design very well. I even liked the overall muted aesthetics of the base variant more than top variant of BE.05.Mahindra BE.05 Higher Variant : Image – Gobinath RajanNew attributes of top variantSpeaking of the top variant, spy shots from automotive enthusiast Gobinath Rajan show a new production-spec alloy wheel design. This is an aerodynamic wheel design with a five-element slotted pattern on it. We would reckon Mahindra will offer these alloys on top-spec variants while the previously spied alloys will be offered in mid-variants. Or vice versa.Mahindra BE.05 Higher Variant : Image – Gobinath RajanIt is to be noted that higher variants still get those massive C-shaped LED DRLs along with a sleek LED headlight setup just below the top-most DRL element. Mahindra seems to be implementing an air curtain in front bumper, as seen in these new spy shots. It looks like there is an air channel on the bonnet that is deflecting winds from the front over the car’s windscreen.Mahindra BE.05 : Image – Gobinath RajanInterestingly, a fixed glass roof from BE.05 concept has been carried over to the production model. Sunroof fanatics who want to get out of the sunroof (for reasons best known to them), can look at XUV.e8 which was also spied beside the top-spec BE.05 test mules. There is a possibility of Mahindra showcasing BE.05 on August 15th alongside Thar Roxx. More

Mahindra XUV700 Electric SUV Render In 8 New Colours – Harrier EV Rival

Mahindra XUV700 Electric SUV RenderTata Motors is prepping Harrier EV and Safari EV that should rival upcoming Mahindra XUV700 EV (XUV.e8) and XUV700 EV Coupe (XUV.e9)If there is one car manufacturer in India that excels in producing SUVs, it is Mahindra Auto. Starting from the recently launched XUV3XO, Mahindra has a robust SUV portfolio that is aimed to cater to a wide range of audiences. Mahindra is adding a couple of new premium electric SUVs based on the INGLO platform, starting with XUV.e8 (XUV700 EV). Here’s how it would look at launch.Mahindra XUV700 EV Rendered – First INGLO vehicle to launchThe company is working an electric version of XUV700 and it will be the first vehicle to launch based on the company’s new INGLO platform. The goal of INGLO platform-based vehicles is to increase the appeal of made-in-India products on a global stage. In that regard, Mahindra seems to have done a great job.2025 Mahindra XUV700 EV HeadlightBased on a multitude of spy shots that surfaced on the internet, we have come up with our render of how a production-spec Mahindra XUV.e8 might look like. There was also a working prototype that was showcased at M.A.D.E. HQ in the UK as well. Rushlane’s render, penned down by Pratyush Rout, adheres to the company’s approach to this upcoming electric vehicle.Overall silhouette is still largely similar to the current XUV700. Establishing that all-important relevance with its ICE counterpart. The top hat of XUV700 on INGLO platform retains most of its design identity. However, it gets a vastly different front-end design with a more imposing futuristic fascia.2025 Mahindra XUV700 EV HeadlightIt gets a closed-off grill, followed by massive inverted L-shaped LED DRL signatures that are connected by an LED light bar. Headlights are all-new and are vertically arranged, which seems to be a trend these days. Similar to XUV400, it gets many bronze elements in its lower bumper, headlights and its logo.Mahindra XUV700 Electric SUV RenderBronze highlights are seen on the car’s window belt line too and neatly flow into the rear. New Aero design alloy wheels are notable as well. While the fascia gets an all-new design, the rear is almost identical to the XUV700. Even the tail lights have been carried over. What to expect?Interiors will get a subtle refresh, though. Previous set of spy shots has shown a brand new 2-spoke steering wheel with a dedicated new Mahindra logo for XUV.e lineup. Production version will retain these attributes. Also new, is a massive layout of triple-screen setup where one is for instrumentation, one for infotainment and the third for front passenger.Mahindra XUV700 Electric SUV RenderThe centre console is slightly redesigned too. Where features are concerned, Mahindra XUV700 EV should be loaded to the gills. We’re talking about level-2 ADAS, soft-touch materials on the inside, electrically adjustable front seats with memory, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a front trunk and many more.Where powertrains are concerned, the INGLO platform is said to bear multiple battery capacities ranging between 60 kWh and 80 kWh. With around 500 km of claimed range. When launched, XUV.e8 is likely to offer both single-motor and dual-motor AWD layouts. Launch of Mahindra XUV 700 EV is expected in 2025. It could be priced in the Rs 35 lakh range. More

3 Mahindra Electric SUVs Spied While Charging – Front And Rear LED DRLs On

3 Mahindra Electric SUVs Spied Charging. Images – Dr Khalid AgwaniWhile Mahindra XUV.e8 and BE.05 get charging ports on their sides, XUV.e9 coupe electric SUV is unique with charging port at the rearBased on the new INGLO born electric platform, Mahindra is launching a multitude of new electric vehicles. These include XUV.e8. BE.05 and XUV.e9 (Coupe version of XUV.e8). All these are under testing. Recently, a convoy containing all three of these SUVs has been spotted plugged at a mall in Udaipur, Rajasthan, showing interesting new details.Mahindra XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05 SpiedFirst Indian automaker to sell electric cars in the country, Mahindra, is set out on a path to radicalising the premium electric SUV segment both here and the world. The company is launching five vehicles under XUV.e and BE sub-brands. First of these vehicles to launch are XUV.e8, XUV.e9 and BE.05.Mahindra Electric SUVs Spied Charging – Front LED DRLsA convoy of all three of these electric SUVs was recently spotted at an underground mall parking in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Thanks to automotive enthusiast Dr Khalid Agwani, we now have a new set of spy shots showing new details about three of Mahindra’s hottest upcoming electric SUVs – XUV.e8, XUV.e9 and BE.05.For starters, XUV.e9 looks like it is a much larger vehicle than XUV.e8. In the parking lot, standing side-by-side, XUV.e9 looks like it could be around 4.8m in length. Around the same length as a Toyota Fortuner. Mahindra XUV.e8 is almost the same length as its ICE counterpart, XUV700 as they share almost the same side and rear elements.Mahindra Electric SUVs Spied Charging – Rear LED DRLsFor reference, Mahindra XUV700 is 4.7m in length. Another thing to note is that the Mahindra XUV.e9 has its charging port at the rear on the left side. This is very interesting because the test mules of XUV.e8 didn’t have a rear charging port. So, the touted 80 kWh battery is likely to only be on offer with XUV.e9 and BE.09. Or probably even BE.07.Mahindra Electric SUVs Spied ChargingXUV.e8 is likely to only get around 60 kWh or 70 kWh battery and have a charging port on the side. BE.05’s charging port has been spotted before and is at the side. While plugged in, Mahindra’s EV test mules don’t seem to show a charging level indicator built into their DRLs light bar like Tata EVs do. Instead, there seems to be an LED indicator just above the port.Interesting new details! Both XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 share an identical fascia. However, XUV.e9 gets a more muscular bonnet which adds visual bulk to it, when compared to XUV.e8’s. Headlights are identical, with what seems like bi-LED projector unit and triple ice-cube LED projector fog lights with cornering function. Front parking sensors and front radar for ADAS are common between the two.Mahindra Electric SUVs Spied – HeadlightOn the inside, both XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 get a common triple-screen dashboard – one for instrumentation, one for infotainment and a third for front passenger. The third vehicle in this convoy of engineering samples was BE.05. A test mule of BE.05 was spotted in Leh Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh regions for altitude testing which we covered earlier. More

As seen with the patent image, the three-screen layout of XUV.e8 covers almost the entire width of the dashboard. It is flanked by AC vents on both sides.Mahindra XUV700 Electric SUV SteeringFrom the design patent image, it appears that the three-screen layout has bezels in between the screens. The bezels are pretty wide and seem to have a grey finish. They could get a darker and glossier finish with the production model. The heavy bezels could have been chosen to provide adequate protection to the large 3-screen setup.Mahindra XUV700 Electric SUV DashboardFunctional relevanceA three-screen setup helps reduce clutter in the cockpit area. It matches the current trend of achieving a minimalistic profile for EVs, across both exteriors and interiors. Much of the physical buttons can be eliminated with a three-screen layout. The third screen is exclusively for the front passenger. The sense of roominess is significantly enhanced when most of the controls can be handled via the screens. Along with touch controls, users can also use voice commands for various features and functions.Mahindra XUV700 Electric SUV DashboardXUV.e8 – New headlamp setup and new steering wheelMahindra has also patented a new headlamp design and a new two-spoke steering wheel for XUV.e8. Mahindra XUV Electric SUV Steering Patent Leaks – Octagonal, 2-Spoke, Digital

Mahindra XUV Electric SUV Steering PatentAn octagonal, 2-spoke format is in line with innovative steering wheel concepts being used with next-gen electric vehiclesMahindra is working on its next-gen EVs that will be underpinned by the INGLO platform. Some major design transformations have been seen with the concepts and the test mules spotted on the roads. Now, a design patent reveals that Mahindra’s upcoming EVs will also be getting a unique, sporty steering wheel.Mahindra XUV EV steering wheel detailsAt first glance, Mahindra XUV EV steering wheel seems familiar to that of Tata’s newer models. Especially the flat central section and the 2-spoke design. The steering wheel seen with Nexon and Nexon EV has an illuminated Tata logo. As the Mahindra EV steering wheel also has a flat central section, it is possible that it too could get an illuminated logo. However, there are no official details available at this point of time.Mahindra XUV Electric SUV Steering PatentOr, Mahindra could take a different approach by installing a small display in the centre. This could provide the driver easy access to critical information. The steering wheel has mounted controls on both ends. These could feature touch-sensitive buttons with haptic feedback.Overall, Mahindra XUV EV steering wheel has sporty aesthetics. It is something similar to the steering wheel seen with high performance sports cars and other luxury vehicles. The rounded octagonal shape has flattened top and bottom sections, something that will improve legroom for the driver. This will be especially beneficial in urban driving environments with heavy traffic. The unique shape of the steering wheel can also work to provide enhanced visibility of the instrument console.Mahindra XUV700 ElectricEnhanced ergonomics and safetyWhile the steering wheel has an attractive profile, it is also likely to offer improved ergonomics. This will be even more relevant for long journeys. The steering wheel should be able to provide adequate support to the driver’s hands. The flattened sides and dedicated grips should work to ensure optimal control with minimal effort. This can work to improve safety by allowing better control during emergency situations.Mahindra BE.05 EV Interiors SpiedMahindra XUV EV steering wheel will likely use advanced airbag systems that can deploy faster and work more effectively. We have already seen how Tata had worked on their new steering wheel and the challenges faced with integrating the airbag system. It is likely that a similar set of advanced techniques have been used for Mahindra EV steering wheel.Mahindra EV steering wheel – A key USPConsumer preferences are strongly in favour of sporty styling and hi-tech features. In that context, Mahindra EV steering wheel can emerge as a major attraction for the target audience. The steering wheel suits the futuristic design of Mahindra’s upcoming next-gen XUV.e and BE range of electric cars. As this design moves from patent to production, it will be interesting to see how it transforms the driving experience for Mahindra’s customers. More

Mahindra BE.05 EV Interiors Spied – Electrifying Acceleration On Ghats (Video)

Mahindra BE.05 EV Interiors SpiedAmong the five INGLO-based SUVs showcased, Mahindra BE.05 EV is likely to be the most popular owing to its expected size and pricingStrategies for Mahindra’s electric vision have been unfolded in the past couple of years. The Indian auto giant is launching five new electric SUVs based on its born electric INGLO platform. Most affordable of these five is BE.05 which is poised to be the most flamboyant compact electric SUV in India or even the world.Mahindra BE.05 Production Interiors SpiedFor the first time ever, we got a sneak peek at the upcoming Mahindra BE.05’s interiors thanks to automotive enthusiast Amanjot Singh Dua. Mahindra is currently testing BE.05 along with XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 for varied altitudes, temperatures and terrains. So, test mules have been spotted in both deserts as Himalayan mountains.Mahindra BE.05 EV Interiors SpiedWhile there have been innumerous sightings of BE.05’s exteriors, this is the first time production-spec interiors have been leaked. We can see a lot of similarities with Mahindra BE.05 concept showcased at M.A.D.E headquarters in UK. At the event, Mahindra promised most design highlights to be carried over to production model. The company is staying true to its word. Overall layout of BE.05’s interiors looks very similar to its concept. A pronounced split with Bronze finish between driver and passenger lends a cockpit-like feel. Design elements like the twin-spoke hexagonal steering wheel along with a vertical bronze strip at the top and touch and toggle steering controls stay true to its concept.Mahindra BE.05 EV Interiors SpiedIn the centre console, dial from the concept is retained. It might control terrain modes or drive modes. There might be a yacht-like dedicated gear selector and electronic parking brake in this area too. We can also see three digital sliders that could be used to control volume or interior lighting brightness or sunshade or sunroof.Mahindra BE.05 EV Interiors SpiedCar’s interiors were riddled with testing equipment, wires, hose pipes and whatnot. Another notable element we can grasp from BE.05’s interior is frameless IRVM that we saw with newly launched XUV 3XO and white leatherette upholstery with perforations that are likely to have ventilation function.Altitude testing and overtaking in Leh LadakhBE.05 is currently under altitude testing too and has been spotted trundling along the highway between Leh and Kargil. Thanks to automotive enthusiast Lakshmi Prasad, we have a glimpse of Mahindra BE.05’s instant and electrifying acceleration as it overtook a truck in the twisties.[embedded content]There is a good possibility of it being the higher-spec dual motor AWD variant. Battery capacity could be around 60 kWh+ and will feature a single-motor version as well. When launched, it will rival the likes of MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti Suzuki eVX and its arch-rival is the upcoming coupe-styled Tata Curvv EV.BE.05 is likely to be the volume generator (among INGLO-based EVs) for Mahindra owing to its sheer design and segment positioning. It is the smallest among all XUV.e and BE vehicles showcased and will appeal to masses. It has wild written all over its design and looks futuristic and aggressive with a massive road presence. More
