Mahindra BE 6e And XEV 9E Electric SUVs Teased – Global Debut Nov 26th

Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e TeasedWith wild design, Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e will not only make buzz in India, but is expected to shine in export markets too
India’s leading traditional SUV manufacturer, Mahindra Auto, has just revealed the production names of two of its upcoming electric SUVs. This is the latest revelation and the company has also revealed the world premiere date of these electric SUVs – Nov 26th, 2024 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Mahindra BE 6e And XEV 9E
If there is one Indian car brand known for unusual naming traditions, it has to be Mahindra. Not only does most Mahindra product names end with an ‘O’, they also have quirky naming strategies. Mahindra has been cleaning up the quirky naming trend by eradicating KUV and TUV sub brands (much needed).
    Mahindra XEV 9e Teased
Previously speculated to be BE.05 and XUV.e9, these SUVs will be called BE 6e and XEV 9e respectively. As per Mahindra, BE 6e and XEV 9e are the flagships within their respective sub brands. So, the new sub brands fall under Mahindra’s Electric Origin SUVs substrata and even gets its own ‘Infinity’ logo.
For starters, Mahindra has gotten rid of the full-stop in the names – BE.05 and XUV.e9, which is a step in the right direction. The new Infinity logo for Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs is what is seen on XEV lineup and is illuminated. With BE lineup, the BE illuminated logo has been retained, which we saw with concept.
    [embedded content]
BE 6e is built from the ground up, adhering to BE (Born Electric) philosophies. The company has teased both BE6e and XEV 9E, without any camouflage. Thus revealing some of their key design elements, edgy detailing, wild LED DRL signatures among others. Both vehicles will premiere on 26th November at Mahindra’s Unlimit India event held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
    Mahindra BE 6e Teased
    What to expect?
Mahindra BE 6e will be around 4.3m in length and will feature a wild and futuristic design. It will feature a cockpit-like split dashboard with twin-displays. Up to 60 kWh battery can be expected with this vehicle and it could feature single-motor and dual-motor drivetrain configurations for 2WD and 4WD setups respectively.
XEV 9e, on the other hand, is a much larger vehicle with a lot of street presence. We expect it to be around 5m in length and features a stylish Coupe design. On the inside, a triple dashboard layout is seen with many elements carried over from XUV700. Up to 80 kWh battery, single and dual motor layouts are expected as well. More

Mahindra XUV3XO EV Spied In Near-Production Form – Nexon EV Rival

Mahindra XUV3XO EV SpiedUnlike the 4.2m length of XUV400, the upcoming XUV3XO EV is likely to be under the 4m constraint similar to ICE XUV3XO on sale
Ever since Mahindra launched the XUV400, it has been hailed as the most performant and fun-to-drive electric offering in its segment. Since launch, Mahindra updated it once earlier this year with a refreshed interior, while the exteriors were yet to be refreshed. That is happening now and we are seeing more test mules of XUV3XO EV.
    Mahindra XUV3XO EV Spied
Essentially, XUV3XO EV is XUV400 facelift. Mahindra is updating XUV400 with a new design language, similar to the one we saw with XUV3XO. It will have a lot of road presence and will appeal to a broader range of audiences, owing to its new design. This is a radical new design that is likely to boost the sales of XUV400 or XUV3XO EV in its segment.
    Mahindra XUV3XO EV Front
Speaking of segments, there is a massive jump in XUV3XO EV’s positioning. While rest of the manufacturers are making their vehicles larger, Mahindra is making the XUV400 smaller and will fit it into the sub 4m SUV segment. This is a lot logical too as it will now share its underpinnings and all of its exterior sheet metal with ICE XUV3XO.
Thus bringing the costs down. It has to be recalled that XUV400 is a 4.2m long vehicle with a unique rear section than XUV300 (discontinued). This was done in favour of a larger boot. However, ICE XUV3XO has trimmed the spare wheel size and has liberated a larger boot while still being sub 4m in length.
    Mahindra XUV3XO EV Rear
We can expect a similar luggage carrying capacity of 364L of ICE XUV3XO on the upcoming XUV3XO EV. It will adhere to sub 4m length, as suggested by the recent spy shots. Even the 17-inch alloy wheels look identical to those of ICE XUV3XO’s. As of now, the badges seen on this recent test mule read XUV3XO and not XUV3XO EV.
The main differentiating factor is that the XUV3XO EV will come with a Copper contrasting roof, which Mahindra only offered with XUV400. Even on the inside, we can see Copper highlights around the gear selector on centre console. XUV3XO’s large C-shaped LED DRLs, and connected LED tail lights are likely to remain unchanged.
    Mahindra XUV3XO EV
    What does it get?
We can expect the same set of updates that XUV3XO got. For starters, the soft-touch dashboard and door pads, ventilated front seats, LED interior lights, wireless charger, 10.2-inch free-standing infotainment screen, 10.2-inch instrument screen, camera-based Level-2 ADAS, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents and more.
Where powertrains are concerned, XUV400 currently gets 34.5 kWh and 39.4 kWh battery pack options promising up to 456 km of range on a single charge. The 310 Nm of torque is segment-leading and will be XUV3XO EV’s main selling point. There might be a new battery with around 45 kWh capacity, considering Nexon EV just got one.

Mahindra XUV Coupe Spied Up Close – White Interiors, 19 Inch Wheels

Mahindra XUV Coupe SpiedMahindra’s upcoming born-electric SUVs could provide a significant boost to the EV segment, which is currently progressing at a relatively slow pace
Since the concepts were unveiled, enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the launch of Mahindra’s all-new BE and XUV.e electric SUV range. The wait will soon be over, as evident with the intensified road tests and recent TVC shoots.
    XUV.e9 Coupe spied in detail
While the BE.05 and XUV.e8 have also been spotted frequently on road tests, the latest spy shots are of XUV.e9 Coupe. Latest spy shots are credited to automotive enthusiast Vaisakh Shaji.
    Mahindra XUV Coupe Spied
A full 360° view of the test vehicle reveals that the production model is quite the same as the concept version. XUV.e9 is the coupe version of XUV.e8, which in turn is the electric version of XUV700. While the sloping coupe roofline is a major attraction, the SUV’s huge size ensures a powerful road presence.
In its concept form, the XUV.e9 Coupe was 4,790 mm long, 1,905 mm wide, 1,690 mm tall and had a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. Spy shots reveal that there are unlikely to be any major differences in the dimensions of production-spec XUV.e9. Talking about exterior features, one can see a new triangular headlamp cluster design. This is the same as seen with the XUV.e8. Inside the headlamp housing, there are cube-shaped lighting elements and copper-coloured highlighters.
    Mahindra XUV Coupe Spied
XUV.e9 Coupe has a multi-layered bonnet, with a tapering front section. This is aesthetically pleasing and can also improve the driver’s road view. Mahindra’s new infinity logo is mounted on the bonnet. The massive closed-off grille enhances the SUV’s powerful presence, whereas the bumper trim in copper finish highlights its electric underpinnings.
    Mahindra XUV Coupe Spied
    Mahindra XUV Coupe R19 wheels
Mahindra XUV.e9 can be seen with 19-inch wheels wrapped in 245/55 tyres. The low-drag, aerodynamic design appears to be the same as seen with the concept. Other highlights of the side profile include pop-out flush door handles at the front and C-pillar mounted rear door handles. The window line will be getting a copper garnish, contrasting the blacked-out pillars, fenders, thick body cladding and door side moulding.
Mahindra XUV Coupe Spied – White Seats
At the rear, XUV.e9 has connected LED tail lights. The test vehicle can be seen with the charging port installed at the rear, just next to the left tail lamp. A battery level indicator can also be seen above the charging port. A chunky tailgate complements the SUV’s powerful road presence.
Mahindra XUV Coupe Spied – Steering Wheel
    Mahindra XUV.e9 interiors
One of the key features of XUV.e9 is its triple-screen layout. Covering almost the entire width of the dashboard, the triple-screen layout ensures a futuristic and immersive display experience. With consumer preferences hugely in favour of hi-tech gadgetry, the 3-screen layout could become more common in the coming years.
Mahindra XUV Coupe Spied – Digital display
XUV.e9 Coupe is seen with white interiors. The seats, door panels, pillars, roof are all in white. The cabin will be equipped with a comprehensive range of premium and advanced tech features. Safety will be enhanced with a wide-ranging ADAS suite in addition to multiple airbags, ABS, etc.
Mahindra XUV Coupe Spied – White Seats
In terms of performance, XUV.e9 variants can get battery packs in the range of 60 kWh to 80 kWh. Both RWD and AWD options could be available. Range is expected to be around 500 km. XUV.e9 will support 175kW DC fast charging, allowing battery level to reach up to 80% in around 30 minutes. More

2025 Mahindra XUV700 EV Version Launch Nears – Latest Spy Shots

2025 Mahindra XUV700 EV VersionExpected to arrive in 2025, XUV700 EV version will primarily challenge upcoming Tata Harrier EV and Safari EV
Like many other carmakers, Mahindra is expecting a sizable increase in EV sales in the coming years. To stay ahead in the race, Mahindra will be introducing its born-electric SUV range next year. The first of these will be XUV700 EV version.
Mahindra XUV700 EV version – What to expect?
Mahindra XUV700 EV test vehicles have been spotted frequently in recent months. Latest spy shots are credited to automotive enthusiast Aniket Kashyap, who managed to click these test mules in Ladakh. While wrapped in full camouflage, it is easy to see that much of the exterior profile is the same as the ICE model.
    2025 Mahindra XUV700 EV Version
However, XUV700 EV version will have a new front fascia. It will include a closed-off grille, new lighting elements and refreshed bumper section. Side profile of XUV700 EV closely mirrors the ICE model. Some of the key highlights include flush door handles, circular wheel arches, chrome window garnish and slightly tapering rear roof section. XUV700 EV will offer more refined aesthetics with its aerodynamic, low-drag alloy wheels.
The charging port for XUV700 EV is installed on the left, the same position where the ICE variant has the fuel filler. At the rear, the overall profile will be largely the same as the ICE model. There could be some tweaks to the tailgate and bumper. XUV700 EV will feature unique badging elements that highlight its electric underpinnings.
    2025 Mahindra XUV700 EV Version
    Digital cockpit experience
While the exteriors seem quite familiar, the interiors of XUV700 EV will offer a more premium experience and multiple new features. One of the test vehicles was recently spotted with a triple-screen layout that covers almost the entire length of the dashboard. Such premium features will be available with the top variants of XUV700 EV. Mahindra will focus on reducing clutter and enhancing the digital cockpit experience.
    2025 Mahindra XUV700 EV Version
XUV700 EV will have advanced tech features such as 5G network capability and 5 Radars-1 Vision technology. The SUV is designed to support future upgrades such as L2+ autonomous driving and ADAS. A comprehensive range of connected features will be available with XUV700 EV.
    XUV700 EV battery, range, performance
Mahindra’s born-electric INGLO platform that underpins XUV700 EV can support battery packs of up to 80 kWh capacity. In that case, XUV700 EV could have a range of around 500 km. Earlier spy shots had revealed a rear motor, indicating that the SUV will have a dual-motor AWD option. With fast charging of up to 175 kWh, users will be able to achieve up to 80% charging in just 30 minutes.
In the electric segment, Mahindra currently offers only the XUV400. Sales are relatively low, when compared to Mahindra’s hugely popular ICE SUVs. Nonetheless, even with just a single EV model in its portfolio, Mahindra is already ranked third in the list of best selling EV brands in the country. That’s because EV sales are yet to register large numbers similar to that of ICE car sales. With its born-electric range, Mahindra can probably improve its ranking and market share in the EV segment. Mahindra is also planning to foray in the petrol hybrid segment. More

Mahindra BE.05 And XUV.e9 Spied Undisguised
These spy shots show Mahindra BE.05 and XUV.e9 during what seems like TVC shoots somewhere outside India. These units were fully undisguised and showed their exterior design elements in fully production-spec form. We should expect a TVC soon and before that, let’s take a look at what the spy shots show.
2025 Mahindra XUV e9 Electric SUV
With global aspirations, Mahindra Auto has carved out a range of stunning electric SUVs that should launch sometime next year. Based on their born-electric INGLO platform, Mahindra is eyeing to dominate the Indian electric SUV market and then expand their EV production expertise to include global markets as well.
    2025 Mahindra BE05 Electric SUV
Squared-off wheel arches with chunky wheel claddings along with side body claddings are both finished in a gloss black. Wheels look like they are around 19-inchers in size. Design is of a 5-spoke type, but there are aerodynamic patterns, looking very futuristic. The fixed glass roof ends in a split spoiler design and a similar effect is mimicked on the rear bumper too.
    2025 Mahindra BE05 Electric SUV
Front door gets flush pop-out door handles. LED tail lights are connected in design and have a massive signature. At the front, we can see a massive C-shaped LED DRL signature with an illuminated BE logo. Front also has an open grill that channels air through its bonnet, which is a neat touch.
    2025 Mahindra BE05 Electric SUV
Where XUV.e9 is concerned, we can see two shades of it in the spy shot. One in a Golden colour and the other in a ravishing Red. It boasts a massive fascia with a closed-off grill, vertically laid-out headlights, and connecting LED DRLs. Pop-out front door handles and large aerodynamic wheels are notable elements.

On the inside, Mahindra is giving BE.05 cockpit-like feel with a pronounced split in the middle. Other notable elements include a floating centre console and dual 10.25-inch screens, a new steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a large HUD and more. XUV.e9, on the other hand, one-ups BE.05 with a triple screen layout, but lacks the cockpit-like feel.

As of now, Mahindra is active in a few global markets selling vehicles like Pik-Up range, Scorpio N and XUV700. Mahindra XUV700 EV Interior Spied – Shows Triple Screen Layout

Mahindra XUV700 EV Interior SpiedMahindra XUV700 EV (XUV.e8) will primarily rival Harrier EV and Safari EV from Tata Motors – Launch will probably happen in 2025
After launching Thar Roxx in India, Mahindra Auto is taking decent strides in expanding their portfolio. Soon, the company will launch a slew of EVs, starting with XUV.e8 (XUV700 EV), which has been spied in close-to-production form. These spy shots show car’s interiors and the massive triple-screen layout it will come equipped with. Let’s take a look.
    Mahindra XUV700 EV Interior Spied
One of the most popular car manufacturers in India, Mahindra Auto, has been expanding its portfolio with innovative and trendy products. Based on their newly developed born-electric INGLO platform, Mahindra has showcased as many as five products spread across BE and XUV.e sub-brands.
    Mahindra XUV700 EV (XUV.e8)
First of these five to launch, is likely to be XUV.e8, which is an electrified version of XUV700 ICE SUV already on sale. Test mules of Mahindra XUV700 EV have been frequent owing to intensified testing. The latest spy shots are thanks to automotive enthusiast Deepen Patwa who spotted this test mule in Nashik.
Where design is concerned, Mahindra XUV.e8 is very closely associated with XUV700. Previous test mules have confirmed the same and the only design changes are likely to be concentrated at the front with a brand new fascia. New spy shots show car’s exteriors from the side and a glimpse of XUV.e8’s interior.
    Mahindra XUV700 EV Triple-screen Layout
From the side, Mahindra XUV.e8 electric car gets a new set of alloy wheels, which have been spotted before. We can see similar flush door handles along with a charging port at the same location as XUV700’s fuel filler. Powertrain-wise, Mahindra XUV700 EV may get up to 80 kWh battery with around 500 km of claimed range. Previous spy shots have confirmed a rear motor on XUV.e8, hinting at a dual-motor AWD setup too.
    Triple display bonanza
Main highlight of these spy shots is the dashboard which can be seen with minimal camouflage. The dashboard is dominated by three 10.25-inch (speculated) screens. Centre one is the main infotainment screen and will support touch inputs along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay projection.
    mahindra XUV700 EV Rear
The driver’s display will be a non-touch panel and will show car’s instrumentation along with a few vehicle-related details along with navigation info. The third screen will also be a touch panel, dedicated to front passenger. The functions of this display are still unknown and it is interesting to see how Mahindra implements it.
Will this display act as an extension of main infotainment screen? Will it be a hybrid of both infotainment and instrumentation? Or, is it just a gimmick? Only time will tell. In these spy shots, this third display seems to be showing music or radio controls. Also, the driver looks like he is operating instrument screen by touch, which might not be the case. More
