2024 KTM RC 390 Render Based On Spy Shots – New Colours

New-gen KTM RC 390 is getting ready to make global debut later this year – It will be made in India by Bajaj2024 KTM RC 390 RenderKTM RC 390 has been around for a few years now. It offers the right balance between everyday rideability and an occasional track day. KTM is developing a new version, one that has been spied on multiple times. Most recent spy shots of the new KTM 390 give us a clearer look at the design of the motorcycle. Based on 2024 KTM RC 390 spy shots, automotive rendering artist Pratyush Rout has created a digital render.2024 KTM RC 390 to get new design – Render based on spy shotsThe render stays true to the spy shots. There is a single projector headlight at front, which has a jet plane-inspired nose. Side fairing covers more of the engine bay now as opposed to the outgoing model.2024 KTM RC 390 spy shots – Cycle World.Tasteful orange elements are playing with base colours. Side fairing also gets RC 390 badging along with the Ready To Race emblem on KTM logo. On the 2024 KTM RC 390 test mule, pillion seat was replaced with a rack to carry testing equipment. In the render, that is being replaced with a proper split seat setup which is more in line with the 2nd generation model. In the 1st gen model, there was a rather uncomfortable single-seat element that had a neatly integrated pillion seat. WP USD front forks might make it to the production model. There will be more performance than the outgoing model.2024 KTM RC 390 RenderNew-Gen KTM RC 390 – Back To The Drawing Board? There has been a paradigm shift in RC’s design since its inception. When first launched, RC range had a rather minimalist design with body panels, saving precious weight. It was also skinny, in this sense, it was narrower and less bulky with an underbelly exhaust, aiding in bringing the mass towards the center of the motorcycle.2024 KTM RC 390 RenderThe second generation on sale currently, came with a new design, which made the bike look a bit bigger and bulkier. The bug-eyed front dual projector headlight was replaced with a flatter one which looked more cohesive. There were mixed reactions to 2nd gen model and many fans were quite vocal on social media. This could be the reason behind KTM taking a step back, and building the 3rd gen based on 1st gen design language. In effect, 2024 KTM RC 390 gets a single projector headlight and an underbelly exhaust. Side fairing is fuller too, which is reminiscent of the 1st generation model. New-gen KTM RC 390 is likely to make its global debut at the 2023 EICMA show in Italy later this year. India launch can be expected in early 2024.Just like with current RC 390, new gen will also be made by Bajaj at the company plant near Pune. It is from here that the bike is exported across the globe. Similar design language can also be expected to feature on the next gen KTM RC 125 and RC 200. Prices of 2024 KTM RC 390 will remain similar to the current gen RC 390, which is about Rs 3.15 lakh. More

KTM 650cc Duke, RC, ADV Incoming – Made In India At Bajaj Plant

While domestic demand will be limited for made-in-India twin-cylinder KTM bikes, the investment cost will be justifiable with aggressive targeting of export marketsKTM RC 650 Render for illustration purposeEarlier this year in January, Bajaj-KTM partnership achieved a key sales milestone of 1 million units. The one-millionth unit to roll out of Bajaj’s plant was a KTM 390 Adventure. Going forward, Bajaj-KTM partnership will be further strengthened, as KTM is planning to manufacture its new low-cost twin-cylinder bikes in India. While the 490cc parallel-twin project has been abandoned, KTM has shifted focus to a new 690cc platform. It was earlier reported that the 690 platform will be manufactured by CFMoto in China. However, there has been a change in plans, with possibilities being explored for manufacturing the new 690 platform in India as well.Upcoming KTM Duke 390. Image – The Fat BikerKTM new 650cc twin-cylinder platform (made-in-India)KTM will be using the existing 790 Duke platform to develop the new 690 platform. It could also be a 650cc version. While the 490 platform was cancelled, the new 690 platform has a better chance to succeed from a business perspective. That’s because there’s growing demand in this segment, especially in markets like India. As of now, Royal Enfield 650 twins dominate this space with market share of more than 75%. Super Meteor 650 is also available and RE has plans to introduce more bikes in this segment.KTM ADVKTM is currently in discussions with Bajaj to chalk out the finer details of the proposed 690 platform. KTM-Bajaj will be working to finalize plans for the supply chain that will be needed for manufacturing the 690 bikes in India. KTM CEO Stefan Pierer has assured that the 690 platform will definitely happen over the next two years. The first 690 bike is likely to be a Duke. Later, KTM could also introduce other formats such as RC and Adventure.KTM 690 export plansKTM’s new 690 made in India bikes will also be sold overseas in countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Australia. KTM-Bajaj partnership has already been successful in delivering top quality, all while minimizing production costs. The new 690 platform will enjoy the same set of benefits. With local manufacturing, enthusiasts can expect a more accessible price range. For reference, KTM 790 Duke (when available in India) was priced at Rs 8.64 lakh. Expect the 650cc KTMs to be priced in the Rs 5-6 lakh range.Affordable pricing will allow KTM to explore opportunities in price sensitive locations. Markets like Latin America can also be on the radar for made in India twin-cylinder KTM bikes. However, for European markets, KTM will continue to depend on CFMoto for production of its low-cost parallel twin models.KTM 650cc Duke, RC, ADV bikes could generate around 80-100 hp of max power. It will depend on how scaled-down the new platform is, in comparison to the current 790 Duke. The latter churns out 105 PS and 86 Nm. KTM new 690 platform will be getting all the advanced equipment such as traction control, quickshifter+, motor slip regulation, Supermoto Mode, motorcycle stability control with cornering ABS and ride modes of Sport, Street and Rain.Source More

2023 KTM 390 ADV Debuts – New Spoked Wheels, Colours

Except for the new Spoked Wheels edition and new colours, 2023 KTM 390 Adventure is identical to 2022 model2023 KTM 390 ADVKTM’s formula of an ADV based on its explosive 390 platform has worked wonders. It has been well-received as a high-speed tourer since day one. But as an ADV for trails and off-roading? Not so much. Apart from ergonomics, KTM didn’t offer enough off-road hardware to justify the ADV tag. 2023 KTM 390 Adventure aims to fix just that. The Austrian brand has revealed 2023 KTM 390 Adventure.Ahead of the launch of new-gen 390 platform, KTM is updating its 390 Adventure to meet buyer trends. It was a formidable machine where touring and mild trailing are concerned. That said, customers who craved more off-road worthy hardware can now rejoice with the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure.2023 KTM 390 Adventure RevealedKTM is offering the one element that was asked for the most. Wire-spoke rims. These rims fare better in off-road conditions as they have a better shock absorbing and dissipating capability as opposed to alloy wheels. Manufacturers offer wire-spoke rims on off-road motorcycles and retro motorcycles. These new wheels are offered in “Spoked Wheeled” edition alongside regular cast alloy models. In the press material, KTM didn’t mention if these new wheels are tubeless or not. Usually, tubeless spoke wheels are only offered with premium off-roaders. The pictures of wheels from KTM suggest these might very well be compatible with tubeless tyres. KTM is using the exact same Continental TKC70 tyres previously used with alloy wheels.2023 KTM 390 ADVThese have block patterns and fare better in providing traction in sticky situations. Wheels themselves are made out of black anodized aluminium. With this move, 2023 KTM 390 Adventure is more befitting of its name. Rest of the motorcycle is kept identical except for new colourways.Specs & FeaturesBoth Spoked Wheeled edition and regular alloy wheel edition are on offer. The 373 cc single-cylinder fire-breathing engine is retained with 44 hp and 37 Nm. This engine is mounted on a steel trellis frame suspended on 43 mm WP USD front forks and rear mono-shock.
