Honda Activa e Battery Rental Prices Reduced – New Concept Store In B’luru

Honda Activa eHonda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has finally entered the highly coveted electric scooter segment of the country. With the launch of Activa e and QC1, Honda became the first Japanese brand to enter India’s electric scooter segment, beating Suzuki and Yamaha to the finish line.
However, it has not been smooth sailing for Honda as launch prices were considered quite high. Battery rental prices were also considered to be on the higher side, souring the deal further. Getting down to damage control, Honda has introduced a more affordable BaaS Lite Plan with Activa e that is expected to boost its appeal considerably. Let’s take a closer look.

    Activa e Battery Rental Prices
Launched with a price tag between Rs 1.17 lakh and Rs 1.52 lakh (Ex-sh) in India, the Honda Activa e is a little late for the party. HMSI has ensured that their products stand out as it offers a battery swapping system that no mainstream electric scooter manufacturer is currently offering.
It has to be noted that Activa e can’t be charged at home or at DC charging stations. Only battery swap. However, that turned out to be a costly affair for many as the base BaaS plans started from Rs 1,999 for up to 35 kWh per month in Basic Plan and Advance Plan commanded Rs 3,599 for up to 82 kWh per month.

Now, Honda has launched a new Lite Plan for Activa e priced at Rs 678 for up to 20 kWh (all plan prices excluding GST). These BaaS plans are employed on top of the base price of Activa e and the battery swapping stations are maintained in the country by Honda Power Pack Energy India operating only in Bengaluru as of writing this article.
Because of its removable batteries, Activa e has negligible boot space under the seat. It is powered by a mid-mounted motor sipping juice from two 1.5 kWh removable battery packs promising a range of 102 km on a single charge. There’s a 7-inch instrument cluster without touch support and all-LED lighting.

Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike Reach Showrooms – Walkaround, Details

Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser BikeWith Royal Enfield’s 650cc offerings taking over the 500cc+ motorcycle segment, rivals have started to catch up with similar products. Challenging the Super Meteor 650, we have Vulcan S and Eliminator 500 from Kawasaki and the recently launched Rebel 500 from Honda. Rebel 500 is the latest one here which was launched recently.
Honda’s Rebel 500 is a strategic launch for India as it is priced quite aptly for what it offers. Speaking of, Honda Rebel 500 was launched last month in May 2025 and is priced at Rs 5.12 lakh (Ex-sh). Units have started arriving at showrooms and a recent video by Machine Rules demonstrates the same. Let’s take a closer look.
    Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike
    Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike
Last month, Honda launched Rebel 500 in India, which was quite a surprise for the automotive fraternity and enthusiasts alike. That’s because Rebel motorcycles of different displacement classes were being patented in India for more than a decade now. They were only launched last month at a somewhat reasonable price tag of Rs 5.12 lakh (Ex-sh).
Units have started to reach showrooms and Rebel 500 directly takes on Royal Enfield’s Super Meteor 650, which is priced from Rs 3.68 lakh to 3.98 lakh (Ex-sh). In comparison, Kawasaki Eliminator 500 is priced at Rs 5.76 lakh (Ex-sh) and Vulcan S costs a whopping Rs 7.1 lakh (Ex-sh).
    Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike
As in the walkaround video, Honda Rebel 500 adheres to its textbook cruiser bike design and silhouette. It even has a retro charm accentuated by its circular headlights with quad projector LED units and circular LED turn indicators. It has a low seat height, front set footpegs along with pulled-back style handlebars.
The pillion seat is located on rear mudguard and it looks like an afterthought. That doesn’t matter as it is a cruiser motorcycle primarily designed to cater just for the rider. Instrument cluster is a fully-digital unit housed in a circular pod with Blue backlighting and it even gets a gear position indicator.
    Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Bike
    Specs & Features
Wheels are 16-inchers at both ends, wrapped with 130/90-16 front and 150/80-16 rear tyres. Front gets RSU telescopic suspension, while rear is suspended by twin shockers. Sculpted fuel tank can hold 11.2L worth of fuel and it tips the scale at 191 kg. Which is not as light as Eliminator 500’s 176 kg, but is far better than Super Meteor 650’s 241 kg kerb weight.

Powering this vehicle is a 471cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled DOHC 4V/cyl engine that is capable of generating 45.5 bhp of peak power and 43.3 Nm of peak torque, mated to a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox. Honda CB350 Modified Into A Tourer By Kijima Looks Dope

Honda CB350 Modified into a Tourer by Kijima
Honda’s answer to Royal Enfield Classic 350 was the CB350 (also sold as GB350 C in Japan). This motorcycle captivated the retro classic essence that RE Classic 350 pioneered. Just like Classic 350, Honda CB350 has excellent potential to be modified into different genres to yield different appearances.
That’s exactly what the Japanese motorcycle aftermarket parts provider, Kijima, has done. Taking a standard Honda GB350 C (CB350 in India) and modified it extensively into a tourer bike, without messing up the original design and silhouette. Let’s take a closer look.
    Kijima Modified Honda CB350
Honda CB350 Modified Into A Tourer
At the Tokyo Motorcycle Show 2025, Kijima exhibited a custom motorcycle built on Honda’s CB350 (sold as GB350 C in Japan). While a few modifications alter the very design that the company had envisioned, Kijima’s latest build on CB350 includes functional add-ons that will aid in long distance touring.
Kijima has carved out a touring kit for CB350 which establishes a unique appearance that accentuates Honda’s original design rather than changing it entirely. Also, this touring kit looks like it is of bolt-on type that will not need too many modifications on the stock bike to install this touring friendly kit.
    Kijima Modified Honda CB350
The main highlight that stands out on this modified Honda CB350 are its custom leg shields that are colour matched. We can see a tall windscreen above headlight unit. There’s a wind-cut plate on front fender. All these elements aim at reducing wind blasts to riders. Surprisingly, there are no knuckle guards on this build to offer holistic wind protection.
    Functional and aesthetic upgrades
Being a touring-oriented build, we can see a couple of leather cases attached on the body for various items. To support larger saddle bags, Kijima is offering sturdy bag supports on both sides. There are also a few elements to increase aesthetic appeal including custom Tech12 ORVMs with carbon fibre finish, a custom engine plate with fins and custom fender flap.
    Kijima Modified Honda CB350
Powering the Honda CB350 is the same 348cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC 2V/cyl engine that is capable of generating 20,7 bhp of peak power and 29.4 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Features include LED lighting all around, a semi-digital instrument cluster and a slipper clutch. More
