Bajaj Chetak To Get Range Boost – New Battery Pack

Bajaj Chetak Spied TestingWith launch of affordable variants and availability across 400+ cities, Bajaj Chetak has been witnessing a strong surge in salesAs Chetak’s popularity soars, Bajaj is looking to introduce some new updates to its e-scooter range. It will help maintain the sales momentum and improve overall customer experience.Chetak scooters to get a range boostBajaj had recently launched a new Chetak 3201 Special Edition scooter. It is being sold exclusively on Amazon. It was offered at an introductory price of Rs 1.29 lakh. Although the Chetak 3201 Special Edition scooter has the same 3.2 kWh battery as the Chetak Premium variant, it has a higher range of 136 km. In comparison, the Premium variant offers a range of 126 km.Bajaj Chetak Spied TestingA higher range for Chetak 3201 Special Edition is because the scooter is using new battery cells. These are more energy-dense and offer higher overall efficiency. The new battery cells are being procured from a new supplier. With the improved battery cells, Chetak 3201 Special Edition has a higher range. Even though the battery capacity remains the same as the Premium variant. The new battery cells will eventually be introduced for all Chetak variants.New variant names likelyWith the entire Chetak range expected to get the improved battery cells, Bajaj can also introduce changes to the existing nomenclature. For example, the base variant, Chetak 2901, gets the 2901 suffix from its 2.9 kWh battery pack. The ‘29’ denotes the first two digits of the battery capacity. And the ‘01’ indicates the first variant to use this new naming convention. If the same nomenclature is followed for other variants, Premium and Urbane could get the 3201 and 3202 suffix, respectively.Bajaj Chetak Spied TestingIt remains to be seen if switching to the new battery cells will bring down the prices of Chetak electric scooters. Globally, the EV battery prices have been falling consistently with production reaching economies of scale. If new Chetak variants can have a higher range, all while offering reduced pricing, it can have a significant impact on sales. As of now, the most affordable variant is the Chetak 2901, priced at Rs 95,998 (ex.sh Bengaluru). Next is Chetak Urbane, priced at Rs 1,23,319. Chetak Premium variant is available at Rs 1,47,243. The 3201 Special Edition is being offered at Rs 1.40 lakh.Strong salesChetak has made rapid gains over the last 12 months and is currently ranked as the 3rd best selling electric scooter in the country. It is ahead of rivals such as Ather Energy, Hero MotoCorp, Greaves Electric Mobility and BGAUSS Auto. With more range to offer, Chetak can deliver even better results in the future. While Ola Electric leads by a significant margin, Chetak has potential to catch up with TVS iQube that currently stands at second position in the electric 2-wheeler segment. As of now, there are more than 200,000 Chetak electric scooters on the roads. Till date, the Chetak fleet has covered a total of 2.28 billion kms. Reduction in CO2 emissions has been a whopping 17.29Mn kgs.Source More

2025 Bajaj Pulsar N125 Spied In Detail – New Features Onboard

2025 Bajaj Pulsar N125 SpiedWhen launched, Bajaj Pulsar N125 spied, will rival sporty 125cc commuter bikes like Hero Xtreme 125R and TVS Raider 125Revolutionizing Indian sporty affordable motorcycle segment, Bajaj Pulsar line has dwelled into the hearts of millions. Bajaj already sells a multitude of Pulsars across multiple displacements and body styles. There is a new Pulsar in the works that should carry a 125cc engine and might launch around the festive season. Let’s take a look.Bajaj Pulsar N125 Spied AgainIf we take Bajaj’s sales performance, Pulsar is the best-selling model, sidelining other sub brands. But if we break the sales in terms of displacement, it is the 125cc Pulsars that outsell every other type of Bajaj offerings. Bajaj is now coming up with a new 125cc Pulsar that should push sales envelope even further.Bajaj Pulsar N125 Spied AgainCurrently, Bajaj sells Pulsar 125 and Pulsar NS125. The range will see a new addition with what is believed to be a Bajaj Pulsar N125. Spotted testing on multiple occasions, Bajaj Pulsar N125 will be the most sporty 125cc Pulsar from Bajaj and is expected to weigh a lot less than the 144kg Pulsar NS125.Latest test mule sighting from The Fat Biker, show more details about this upcoming vehicle. For starters, it looks a lot more aggressive in its design which should pit it directly against Hero Xtreme 125R and TVS Raider 125.[embedded content]We can see accentuated tank shrouds for aggression, there seems to be front fork covers for a muscular appeal, there is stacked LED headlight setup, Pulsar-style split LED tail light setup, split seat design with a stepped pillion seat, tyre hugger, stylish single-piece grab rail, front disc brake, same alloy wheels as Pulsar P150 and other elements.Indicators are still halogen bulbs with the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N125, while Hero is offering LED ones in Xtreme 125R. Bajaj aims to further consolidate its position in the 125cc segment with a sporty offering that looks imposing and from a segment above. In that regard, the new Bajaj Pulsar N125 certainly delivers.Bajaj Pulsar N125 Spied AgainSame engine as NS125?Where powertrains are concerned, there is a good probability that Bajaj might implement the same 11bhp and 11.8 Nm 124.45cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine as Pulsar NS125. Or, there might be a new engine derived from N150’s unit with slightly higher numbers. We can see an underbelly exhaust with Pulsar N125 and a 5-speed gearbox will do duties.Features-wise, Bajaj Pulsar N125 will get a reverse LCD fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. There is a good probability that turn-by-turn navigation will be on offer considering its arch rival, TVS Raider offers a 5-inch colour TFT screen with a lot more features. Also read – Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG delivery starts More

Bajaj is known to pull aggressive price points and Pulsar NS400Z is no different. Launched at an attractive price point of Rs 1.85 lakh (Ex-sh) Pulsar NS400Z has surpassed the sales of other Bajaj-alliance 400cc motorcycles. Let’s break down the numbers.Pulsar 400 Bags Excellent SalesThe combination of high performance and low price is a rather powerful one. For price-conscious Indian buyers, the higher price for marginal to no real benefits of rival single-cylinder high-performance motorcycles looks obsolete. Hence, Pulsar NS400Z emerges as the value champion.Same analogy is seen in the sales charts. Pulsar NS400Z has out-performed other 400cc motorcycles from Bajaj’s own alliances with Triumph, KTM and Husqvarna. In June 2024, Bajaj Pulsar 400Z sold 2,515 units and secured top position among the likes of Triumph Speed 400, KTM 390 lineup, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Husqvarna Svartpilen 400.With 2,515 units sold, Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z secured a 43.28% market share among this list. For June 2024, MoM growth comes out to be 7,759.38% with volume growth of 2,483 units MoM.Bajaj Pulsar 400 Sales Anaysis – YoYIn 2nd place, we have Triumph 400 lineup including Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. When compared to 2,117 units sold in May 2024, Triumph 400 registered a 0.85% MoM growth with 18 units gained in volume.KTM’s highly popular 390 lineup took 3rd place in this list with a 12.01% market share. The 698 KTM 390 units sold in June 2024 ensured that the sales numbers halved YoY at a 50.32% YoY decline, losing 707 units in volume. When compared to the 655 units sold a month before, KTM 390 gained 43 units in volume registering a MoM growth of 6.56%.Husqvarna sold 88 Svartpilen 401sBajaj’s Dominar 400 is probably the oldest in the bunch and it still manages to carve out a decent sales proposition. At 375 units, sales have dropped considerably with a 40.19% YoY decline losing 252 units in volume. There was no luck for Dominar 400 in MoM analysis too as numbers dropped from 477 to 375, a 21.38% MoM decline.Bajaj Pulsar 400 Sales Anaysis – MoMEven though it has a unique design character of its own and shares the platform with the new 390 Duke, Husqvarna Svartpilen emerges as the slowest-selling product in this list.
