With dual-disc brakes, users should be able to rev up their machines with more confidence.Another update could be the split seat option for Pulsar N150. The current model is offered with a single-piece saddle. It looks quite comfortable and seamlessly integrates with the bike’s overall design. However, there can be a section of users who may want a sportier seating option. Pulsar N150 is currently offered in Pearl Metallic White and Ebony Black colour options. Bajaj Pulsar N160 has three colour choices – Brooklyn Black, Racing Red and Caribbean Blue. New Bluetooth-based connectivity features are also a possibility for N150 and N160 along with a new digital instrument cluster.New Pulsar N150, Pulsar N160 performanceEngine options are expected to be the same as earlier. Powering the Pulsar N150 is a 149.68 cc engine that generates 14.5 PS of max power and 13.5 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. Pulsar N160 has 164.82 cc, single cylinder, 2 valve, oil-cooled engine that makes 16 PS and 14.65 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It remains to be seen if the engines are tweaked to deliver a slightly enhanced performance.Other hardware like wheels and tyres are expected to be the same as earlier. However, it is possible that the wheels could get some new colour treatment in line with the respective colour variant. Both N150 and N160 have 17-inch wheels at front and rear.     One of the popular Pulsar motorcycles, the NS range now comes with USD forks and dual-channel ABS. It also gets lighter rims and a semi digital console with gear position indicator and DTE. The updated units have started arriving at dealerships. With the new features, prices have also been hiked.
    2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and NS200 Prices
    Before the latest upgrade, NS160 was priced at Rs 1.25 lakh, whereas NS200 was available at Rs 1.41 lakh. Now, with these new upgrades, NS160 is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh while the NS200 is priced at Rs 1.41 lakh, ex-sh. Plus, the engines have been updated to comply with the stricter BS6 Phase II emission norms. Apart from the new equipment, there are no other major updates to either bike.
    2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200
    New Pulsar NS200 will target primary rival TVS Apache RTR 200 4V that has conventional telescopic front forks. However, RTR 200 4V has options of both single and dual-channel ABS. Another rival is Honda Hornet 2.0 that has USD forks, but lacks dual-channel ABS. It is apparent that updated Bajaj Pulsar NS200 now comes across as a more value-for-money proposition.
    Updated Pulsar NS160 will have similar advantages against rivals like TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Hero Xtreme 160R. However, there’s scope for more improvements in areas such as connectivity. While TVS was among the first to introduce a dedicated connectivity platform for its smaller capacity bikes, Hero MotoCorp is following the same strategy. Updated Pulsar NS motorcycles are equipped with a semi-digital instrument console.
    2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS160
    After introduction of USD forks and dual-channel ABS, users can expect improved ride dynamics with Pulsar NS200 and NS160. Enthusiasts can achieve higher speeds without worrying about things like the bike skidding or not coming to a halt within the targeted distance. The benefits will be available across city streets as well as highways.
    Bajaj already offers USD forks with its NS motorcycles in Brazil. NS200 has 33mm USD, whereas NS160 has 31mm USD forks. The same configuration is used for India. Apart from the enhanced muscular profile made possible with the USD forks, there are no other major cosmetic changes. Only some of the graphics have been updated with new colour combinations.
    Updated Pulsar NS range performance
    While ride dynamics have been improved with USD forks and dual-channel ABS, the engines are the same as earlier. Power and torque output is the same, even after compliance with BS6 Phase II emission norms.
    Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is powered by a 199.5cc, liquid cooled, SOHC 4-valve engine that churns out 24.5 PS of max power and 18.74 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The smaller sibling NS160 has a 160.3 cc motor that makes 17.2 PS and 14.6 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

    Bajaj Pulsar NS lineup has been one of the sportiest offerings in their respective segments. With aggressive styling and presence, they have captivated the Indian market fairly well. Now, Bajaj intends to expand this lineup’s presence by offering USD forks and dual-channel ABS on NS200 as well as NS160. After teasing these two motorcycles on their social media last week, the first batch has started to arrive at dealer showrooms.
    2023 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS With USD Forks – Walkaround
    Thanks to Rash Gear channel, we now have a first walkaround video. For those who were expecting design changes, are going to be disappointed. As the new 2023 Pulsar NS looks the same as previous models, sans USD front forks.
    2023 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS
    Speaking of NS200, it is the only one to get a dual channel ABS update as well. Pulsar RS200, which is a faired version of NS200, got dual-channel ABS long back, and it was high time Bajaj offered it with its naked sibling as well.
    With USD front forks, these Pulsars look more muscular than they already did. It almost feels like the Pulsar NS160 and NS200 hit the gym and are now flexing their triceps. With USD forks, the thicker part of the forks is now on top and has a greater surface area to clamp with the frame. This gives better clamping force, making the frame more cohesive.
    2023 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS – Gear position indicator added
    In Brazil, Bajaj is offering larger 33 mm USD front forks with NS200 and smaller 31 mm USD forks with NS160. We can expect a similar strategy with India-spec models as well.     Specs & Features
    Since it is 2023, we hoped Bajaj would offer some new features with this update. Features like Bluetooth connectivity with smartphone integration and GPS-guided turn-by-turn navigation. Or LEDs instead of halogens, maybe adjustable front suspension (offered on Apache 200 4V) and the likes. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. What we do get is an updated instrument cluster which now shows gear position.
    Pulsar NS160 still retains the 160.3 cc single-cylinder unit as before. Coupled with a 5-speed gearbox, it is capable of developing 17.2 PS of power at 9000 RPM and 14.6 Nm of torque at 7250 RPM. NS200 on the other hand is equipped with a 199.5 cc liquid-cooled engine making 24.13 bhp of power at 9750 RPM and 18.74 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM.
    Pricing for the updated Pulsar NS160 and NS200 are likely to go up by Rs. 5,000 to Rs 10,000. Current versions cost Rs. 1.25 lakh and Rs. 1.4 lakh each respectively. (prices ex-sh). More

    Over the years, Pulsar has had a range of models on offer. Of these, NS 160 and NS 200 have been among the most successful. The NS Pulsar was launched back in 2012 in the form of NS 200, while the NS 160 was launched in 2017. Over the years, not much has changed with the two bikes. They continue to be on offer in an almost similar format as they were launched. But that will soon change.
    Bajaj Pulsar USD Forks – NS 160 and NS 200
    Bajaj will be launching the Pulsar NS 160 and NS 200 with USD forks in a few days. Ahead of that, the first official teaser has been released. The teaser video says ‘Rotate Your Phone’ and at the end it says – Muscular Styling Goes Upside Down. In between we get glimpses of the front wheel, USD Forks and the Pulsar NS in a new colour shade.

    This is not the first time we have seen USD forks on Bajaj Pulsar NS. Bajaj sells NS160 and NS200 with USD front forks in Brazil, where these two motorcycles have been launched as Dominar 160 and Dominar 200. Bajaj is offering 33mm USD forks with the larger 200cc model and 31mm USD forks with the smaller 160cc model. Same is expected to be on offer with 2023 Pulsar NS 160 and NS 200 upon launch.
    This update will add a lot of muscle to an already muscular NS200 and NS160. USD forks allow for a larger surface point for clamping. Hence the overall cohesiveness of the chassis is improved. This enables a better front-end feel and corner-carving capabilities.

    This update will definitely suit the Pulsar NS range. Speaking of the NS200, it is pitched as a sporty machine with upmarket features like liquid cooling and a 6-speed gearbox. Apart from the USD forks, Bajaj is also adding dual-channel ABS. This is a much needed update.
    Bajaj already offers Dual ABS with Pulsar RS200. With these new additions, Pulsar NS200 will be a formidable contender to TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. Other rivals include Honda Hornet 2.0 and KTM 200 Duke.

    Ever since its launch in 2012, Pulsar NS200 has been one of the most talked-about motorcycles in the industry. It had the same engine as KTM Duke 200 along with liquid cooling and a 6-speed gearbox for far less money.
