Bajaj Pulsar 250 Becomes Fastest 250cc To Reach 10k Sales

Based on a new gen platform, powered by a new engine – Pulsar 250 has replaced the 220FBajaj Pulsar 250FIt was in October 2021 that Bajaj Auto expanded its Pulsar range with two new offerings – Pulsar N250 and F250. The bikes were offered at introductory pricing of Rs 1.38 lakh and 1.40 lakh respectively. Today, it is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh and Rs 1.45 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-sh, Delhi. In just 6 months of launch, total sales have crossed 10,000 units. Bajaj claims that this is the fastest a 250cc motorcycle has achieved 10k sales. Other 250cc motorcycles on offer include the likes of KTM Duke 250, 250 ADV, Suzuki Gixxer 250, SF250, Yamaha FZ25, Fazer 250, Dominar 250, Husqvarna 250.Bajaj Pulsar Brand EffectPulsar is not the first 250cc motorcycle launched by Bajaj. They already have Dominar 250 on offer. They also sell 250cc motorcycles under their KTM and Husqvarna brand. But it was under the Pulsar brand that Bajaj managed to register this new sales milestone. Pulsar is a strong brand name which has a great market presence. This makes one wonder, would the sales story for their Dominar 400 brand be different, if it had been launched under the Pulsar name?Mr. Sarang Kanade, President of Motorcycle Business – Bajaj Auto, said, “The all-new Pulsar 250 has been conceptualised with the single-minded purpose of injecting ‘Unadulterated Thrill’ into everyday riding. We are very pleased with the response from young riders across the country, who love the new-age form. We are conducting a series of Thrill-ology rides, passing through the length & breadth of India showcasing how the Pulsar 250 is the perfect entry sport bike in Indian conditions; and the response across all locations has been overwhelming. This sales milestone underlines our customers’ trust in Pulsar and the increasing demand for sports motorcycles due to high aspirations and changing lifestyles.”Bajaj Pulsar 250 BluePulsar 250 New ColourAt the time of launch, 250cc Pulsars were offered in two colours of Racing Red and Techno Grey. These colours were common to both bikes but were set apart by different graphics and tickers. Now, based on market feedback, Bajaj Auto has introduced a new gloss Blue colour for the Pulsar N250 naked street fighter bike and for its semi faired F250 counterpart. This is not the usual blue colour seen on other bikes such as Pulsar NS200, 220F, Pulsar 150, NS125, Platina 110ES and CT110, but is in a deeper and glossier shade of Blue. The new Gloss Blue colour scheme also covers a larger surface area extending to the front cowl and side fairing. It also makes its way onto the fuel tank, front fender and engine cowl going on to the rear tail section. The rest of the bike is in a contrasting shade of black. Its sporty appeal is further enhanced by decals on the front and sides.Pulsar N250 and F250 – Features, SpecsFeatures continue to include LED headlight and LED tail-lamps along with LED DRLs and LED turn indicators. It also sports a semi digital instrument cluster, an analogue tachometer and digital display showing off speed, gear position, fuel economy readouts, range and trim meter along with odometer. The engine gets mated to a constant mesh 5 speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. Suspension is via 37mm telescopic forks in the front and Nitrox monoshock suspension at rear while braking duties are handled by disc brakes measuring 300mm front and 230mm rear with single-channel ABS. It gets 17 inch wheels with 100/80 front and 130/70 rear tubeless tyres. More

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125cc Spied For First Time – New Platform

With the new generation of Pulsar, Bajaj Auto has taken a top-down approach with the flagship Pulsar 250 launching first followed by other smaller Pulsars2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125ccBajaj Auto took its first steps towards bringing a new revolution in its lineup when it introduced the flagship models of the new generation Pulsar models. Launched in Oct last year, the new Pulsar 250 twins- N250 and F250, are the first of the many new-gen Pulsars expected to be seen in the market in the coming few months.During the launch of Pulsar 250 last year, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto, had confirmed that the company will be introducing smaller displacement models of Pulsar based on this new generation platform. Test mules of smaller displacement new-gen Pulsars have been reportedly caught in cameras for the first time.Clicked somewhere on the outskirts of Pune, the lone spy image reveals the interesting new details about the upcoming 2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125. The test mule flaunts a street naked design, just like Pulsar N250 and hence there are many styling resemblances with the latter.2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125cc – Styling DetailsIt gets a similar styled muscular fuel tank, but smaller in size. Headlamp design also matches that of its quarter-litre siblings. The headlamp cluster also features similar integrated Wolf-eyed LED position lamps. Other common design elements could include a sharp tail section and single-piece seating.Bajaj is also working on new gen Pulsar 150, Pulsar 200. Image – YoutubeSpeaking about specs, the current Pulsar 125, it is likely to get an air-cooled 4 strong single cylinder engine. Power and torque output could be in a similar range as the current Pulsar 125 – 11.8 PS and 10.8 Nm. The engine is likely to be updated, to deliver better response and higher fuel efficiency. Bajaj has also registered two new names – Pulsar Elan and Pulsar Eleganz.New Gen Pulsar 150, Pulsar 2002023 Pulsar 150 will be powered by an updated version of the same 149.5cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor powering the current model. In its current avatar, this motor pushes out 13.8 bhp and 13.4 Nm of peak torque and comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox.Specifications of Pulsar 200 are more ambiguous since the current Pulsar NS200 and RS200 are powered by a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine derived from KTM. In its current form, this motor kicks out 24 bhp and a peak torque of 18.5 Nm and is linked with a 6-speed gearbox. Will Bajaj go with this powertrain or develop a simpler oil-cooled mill as it did with Pulsar 250 twins is a critical point of discussion. As far as hardware is concerned, Pulsar 200 appears to receive the same configuration as its quarter-litre sibling with 37mm front forks and a mono-shock at rear. Pulsar 150, on the other hand, gets slimmer 33mm forks at front and probably the same mono-shock at rear. More specifications are expected to come to light in the next few months.New-gen Pulsar 250Apart from the styling and riding ergonomics, Pulsar N250 and Pulsar F250 are identical to each other in every manner. Both are powered by a brand new 249cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine which pumps out 24.1 bhp and a peak torque of 21.5 Nm. This motor is paired with a 5-speed gearbox via a slipper and assist clutch.Source More

Bajaj Pulsar Elan, Pulsar Eleganza – New Motorcycle Names Trademarked

Pulsar range of motorcycles from Bajaj compete against Apache brand of bikes from TVSModified Pulsar by Renovatio Motorworks for referenceWhile Bajaj has been a household name in India for many decades, the brand’s popularity grew in overseas markets when it introduced the Pulsar lineup. Along with Boxer, the Pulsar range of sporty commuter motorcycles is responsible for Bajaj Auto’s growth as a two-wheeler manufacturer in international markets.Launched back in 2001, the Pulsar brand has remained a mainstay in the motorcycle segment for more than two decades. Currently, Bajaj is in a rebuilding phase and is trying to reinvent the Pulsar series by introducing some new models under its belt. The first in this revamped lineup is Pulsar 250 twins- N250 and F250.New Range Of Bajaj Pulsar IncomingBoth these motorcycles made their debut in November last year and are spiritual successors to the discontinued flagship Pulsar 220F. While Pulsar bikes have always maintained a stronghold in the market, their sales volume has noticeably decreased over the last few months.Ever since Bajaj joined hands with KTM in 2011, the Indian two-wheeler brand has built similar engine-sized Pulsar motorcycles. These include Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar RS200 which despite initial successes haven’t been able to generate significant mass sales volumes. To boost sales, Bajaj is working on launching a new range of Pulsar motorcycles that will represent the original ethos of the brand.New Bajaj Pulsar names registered – Pulsar Elan and Pulsar EleganzBajaj Pulsar Elan and Pulsar EleganzIn relation to this, Bajaj has filed two new trademarks – Pulsar Elan and Pulsar Eleganz. These are likely names of their upcoming new motorcycles in the Pulsar range. It is not clear what these bikes will be like.Bajaj Pulsar ELANThese could sit under the current flagship Pulsar 250 or are the names of a more powerful Pulsar, based on the upcoming KTM 490 twin cylinder. Bajaj has also registered the name Twinner. There are no specific details attached to this development but the upcoming Pulsar Eleganz and Pulsar Elan are likely to follow the same philosophy as the original Pulsars.Original Pulsars have always been known for their low-end grunt that feature Bajaj’s stronghold technologies, DTSi and ExhausTEC. These motorcycles came with a unique engine characteristic and a sweet exhaust note. Though not packed with class-leading features, these bikes offered plenty of grunt for everyday sporty performance.Bajaj Pulsar ELEGANZBajaj Pulsar Sales, Pulsar 250 SpecsAt present, Bajaj retails multiple Pulsar models with varying engine displacements ranging from 125cc, 150cc, 160cc, 180cc, 200cc and 250cc. In March 2022, Bajaj was able to dispatch 67,339 units of Pulsar motorcycles which led to a YoY decline of 21.70 percent and an MoM growth of 22.54 percent. The Chakan-based manufacturer was able to dispatch 22,648 units of Pulsars to overseas markets last month.Pulsar 250 siblings are powered by a 249cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine with fuel injection technology that produces 24.1 bhp of power at 8,750 rpm and a peak torque of 21.5 Nm at 6,500rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox that benefits from a slipper and assist clutch function. More

Bajaj Pulsar 200 RS Modified To Look Like Ducati For Rs 1 Lakh

Ducati’s flagship superbike Panigale V4 2021 BS6 model was launched last year in June at a starting price of Rs 23.50 lakhBajaj Pulsar 200 RS ModifiedWhile Panigale V4 easily makes it to the wish list of most biking enthusiasts, its high pricing remains a challenge. Panigale V4S variant is even costlier at more than Rs 28 lakh. As an alternative, a bike modifier has come up with a mini version of Ducati Panigale V4. Based on Bajaj Pulsar RS200, the mini Ducati gets a range of visual and functional updates.Bajaj Pulsar 200 RS Modified DucatiA significant percentage of stock fairing has been replaced with customized panels. Some key features include dual headlamps, blacked-out windscreen, underbelly exhaust and rising tail section. For a true track-ready profile, various parts have been removed such as rear-view mirrors, rear tyre hugger and tail section. Some components have been retained in their original form such as fuel tank. Visually, the modified bike closely resembles the Panigale V4. Things like front fender, headlamp cowl, side panels and seat design are quite similar to that of Panigale V4. Take a look at the detailed walkaround video below by V3 Valtor.[embedded content][embedded content]Graphics used on the modified Bajaj Pulsar 200 RS are more pronounced, as compared to the stock Panigale V4. For example, ‘Panigale’ in bold lettering covers a large section of the fuel tank and side panels. It is done in a light grey shade, which creates an exciting contrast against the blue-black core theme.Just below is ‘V4’ lettering in black shade. ‘Ducati’ lettering in bold can be seen towards the lower section of side fairing. While Panigale V4 is offered in dual-tone colour option of red-black, modified RS200 mini Ducati gets a blue-black colour theme. This actually looks better than the original version.Modified RS200 has an aggressive riding stance with low-set, pulled-back handlebar and rearset foot pegs. It gets special racing tyres for optimal grip and minimal resistance. They are wider as compared to stock tyres offered with RS200. These updates highlight the bike’s capabilities in a track environment. Practically, it may be hard to manoeuvre in heavy traffic conditions.Bajaj Pulsar 200 RS ModifiedRS200 mini Ducati functional updatesWhile stock Bajaj Pulsar 200 RS has standard telescopic forks at front, modified mini Ducati gets a pressurized cartridge damping system. Ducati Panigale V4 is equipped with Ohlins NPX 25/30 electronically controlled pressurized front forks. It is not certain if modified RS200 uses the same unit or another brand. At the rear, the bike has single-sided swingarm suspension. Braking system is the same as that used with stock RS200. While front has 300mm disc, rear wheels have a 230mm disc. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard. There are unlikely to be any changes to the engine. Modified RS200 mini Ducati uses the stock 199.5 cc motor that generates 24.5 ps of max power at 9,750 rpm and 18.7 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. In comparison, Panigale V4 is powered by a 1,103cc engine that makes 218 ps and 123.6 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a quick shifter. More

2022 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS Red Colour Gets New Black Alloys

2022 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS. Image – AUTOHOLIC MANISHIt is likely that Bajaj will replace white alloys with black ones for other bikes such as RS200 as well; NS160 already updatedManufacturers often introduce unique styling for their bikes to differentiate it from rival offerings. However, as the look and feel of a bike is a subjective matter, opinions vary based on users’ individual tastes and preferences. Auto companies do try to choose features that would appeal to majority of users. However, sometimes things may not work out as planned.2022 Pulsar 200 NS black alloysIn its current form, Pulsar bikes like NS200 and RS200 are offered with white alloys in specific colour variants. White alloys have their own charm and may actually be liked by enthusiasts. They come across as something fresh, especially in comparison to the standard black coloured ones used in most bikes. However, scope for coloured alloys depends a lot on the overall design and styling of the bike. For example, orange coloured wheels used for KTM 390 Duke work to enhance the bike’s visual appeal. There are various other examples where bikes have used coloured alloys such as golden, red, blue, etc.In case of Bajaj Pulsar NS200, white coloured alloys don’t seem to enhance the bike’s overall look and feel. They are actually increasing the clutter, which kind of takes away the focus from the bike’s sporty design. NS200 is a good-looking bike, but white coloured alloys don’t seem to fit there. It is certainly more noticeable, but not necessarily something that suits the bike’s overall profile.[embedded content][embedded content]It is possible that quite a few negative feedback about the white alloys may have prompted the company to shift to black alloys. NS200 is available in four colour options of Burnt Red, Metallic Pearl White, Satin Blue and Pewter Grey. Excluding the latter, all three colour options come with white alloys. Black alloys will do a much better job for all these three colour variants of NS200.Bajaj Motorcycle Prices March 2022Pulsar NS200 new priceBajaj Pulsar NS200 prices have been increased by up to Rs 2,000. However, this may be a general price hike coming from increase in input costs. It is not linked to the black alloys, as rest of the bike is same as earlier. New prices will vary based on the location. The current model is available at a starting price of Rs 1.36 lakh in Delhi (ex-showroom).Powering the bike is a 199.5cc, liquid cooled, triple spark motor that generates 24.5 ps of max power at 9,750 rpm and 18.5 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike has Perimeter frame with standard telescopic forks at front and Nitrox based monoshock unit at rear.NS200 has 17-inch wheels at both ends, shod with 100/80 front and 130/70 rear tubeless tyres. Fuel tank capacity is 12 litres whereas ground clearance is 168 mm. It has disc brakes at both ends with single channel ABS. More
