New Electric Motorcycle Spied Testing – Splendor Rival With ADV Design?

New Electric Motorcycle Spied Testing In IndiaWith its heavy-duty frame, the mystery bike appears capable of carrying not just passengers, but substantial loads as well
India’s electric two-wheeler segment has been witnessing rapid growth, with new brands and products continually eying for a share of the pie. Recent spy shots reveal a new electric motorcycle that could be positioned as a commuter bike. It could also cater to the B2C segment, given the bike’s extra-thick frame tubing and cargo-friendly features. Let’s dive deeper to explore what this mystery electric motorcycle is all about.
    Styling and features
A retro theme is evident with the circular headlamp and rear-view mirrors. While the bike looks largely utilitarian, it gets some features that are normally seen with ADV bikes. For example, the bike has a raised front beak and dual-purpose tyres. Such features could be useful when negotiating rough patches and unpaved roads.
It is possible that the bike could also be targeted at rural markets, where users often need to carry multiple passengers and heavy loads. The extra-long seat can be especially useful for family-oriented commuting. Stretching almost the entire length of the bike, the long seat can also accommodate a wide variety of cargo or luggage items.
Bajaj Freedom CNG bike also has a long seat, but this one seems to be even longer and wider. One can also notice a robust luggage rack at the rear. The thickness of the metal tubing is significantly more than that of popular commuter bikes such as Hero Splendor Plus and Honda Shine 100. The frame tubing is even thicker, especially in the central section.
New Electric Motorcycle Spied Testing In India
Such thick tubing is necessary, as the bike is equipped with a large battery pack. The thick tubing will also allow the bike to support heavy loading, in terms of both passengers and cargo. Pillion riders can expect added comfort with the oversized footrests. These also enhance the bike’s load-carrying capacity.
    Performance, range
Technical specifications are not available and the bike does not even have any branding elements. However, looking at the massive battery pack, it is possible that this mystery bike could be looking to offer a best-in-class range. Assuming it is using a lithium-ion battery pack, the range could be around 150-200 km. As the bike is likely to be positioned as a commuter motorcycle, its top speed could be capped at around 80 kmph.
With the heavyset frame and large battery pack, this mystery bike will be heavier than the usual commuter bikes. It may have a torque-focused power delivery rather than prioritizing speed and fast acceleration. The bike can be seen with a mid-mounted motor, connected to a chain drive transmission. This will allow easy maintenance and repairs, even at local shops.
This mystery bike has standard telescopic forks at front and dual rear shock absorbers. Alloys appear to be 17-inches at both ends, wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. The bike has disc brakes at both ends, with CBS for enhanced braking. Tech kit includes a rectangular digital screen, likely an LCD display. A USB charging port could also be part of the package. Being a commuter, this mystery bike may not have connectivity features.

TVS Apache RTS X Patented Before Launch – KTM 390 SMC R Rival

TVS Apache RTS X PatentedOne of India’s leading scooter and motorcycle manufacturers, TVS Motor, is keen on extending its portfolio in the country. The company currently operates a slew of scooters and motorcycles across multiple body styles. However, a Supermoto bike is not one of those body styles, which could change in the future.
TVS recently showcased a Supermoto Concept at 2025 Auto Expo. It is called TVS Apache RTS X and it is a raunchy Supermoto motorcycle that grabs a lot of attention. Design of the same is now patented in India. Does this indicate launch intentions? Is there a place in India for Supermoto bikes? Let’s take a closer look.
    TVS Apache RTS X Patented
    TVS Apache RTS X Design
An OEM usually gets a design patented to protect its IP (Intellectual Property) from being replicated by someone else. Which usually means launch intentions. However, OEMs also tend to patent the designs of their concept vehicles as well. This is the case with Apache RTS X Supermoto bike.
The patented design is of the concept and not of the production-spec version. This could mean that TVS is working on a Supermoto bike, but it has not been officially confirmed. Considering TVS’ presence in racing and fanbase around stunts and enthusiasm, one can expect a production version of Apache RTS X.
    TVS RTS X Supermoto Concept
In the concept form, TVS Apache RTS X is a raunchy Supermoto motorcycle that looks like it came straight out of a Cyberpunk world. We can see an alienistic front fascia with a short beak. Handlebars are of an upright type and lend a commanding riding position. Fuel tank is large and is complemented by muscular tank shrouds.
    The first Indian Supermoto?
Concept has a keyless go and the ignition key is a red button situated on fuel tank, which is an interesting approach. Instrumentation is fully digital, handled by a pill-shaped screen. Rear subframe is a fancy one with integrated tail lights and an exhaust system. It houses a rear mono-shock suspension setup and a fancy swingarm too.
    TVS RTS X Supermoto Concept
Wheels might be 17-inch units at both ends, wrapped with fat tyres. Front gets USD telescopic forks which are likely to be fully adjustable for compression and rebound. Suspension will also have long travel, offering high ground clearance, which is a common trait in Supermoto genre.
Powering the TVS Apache RTS X motorcycle is the RTXD4 engine that displaces 299cc and is a single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit with DOHC 4V head. This engine is capable of generating 35 bhp of peak power and 28.5 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The concept seen in these design patents weighs 144 kg and can hit 60 km/h in 2.8s and 100 km/h in 6.3s. If launched, TVS Apache RTS X will be the first Indian Supermoto bike.

Skoda Slavia B Electric Bike Concept Unveiled – Slick Tyres, Leather Detailing

Skoda Slavia B Electric Bike ConceptSkoda’s electric cafe racer concept is based on the original Slavia B, 240cc petrol bike that was launched in 1899
If we go through Skoda’s history, it’s surprising to learn that the company once manufactured petrol-powered motorcycles. Late 19th century was the time when petrol-powered motorcycles began to be produced commercially. Laurin & Klement was a key player in Europe, as its motorcycles were known for their reliability and racing success. Laurin & Klement was later acquired by Skoda, whereupon the focus shifted to cars.
To highlight and celebrate its vibrant past, Skoda has now unveiled the Slavia B electric cafe racer concept motorcycle. This concept model is a tribute to the original Slavia B, the first motorcycle to be manufactured by Laurin & Klement. Let’s take a closer look at this exciting fusion of the old and the new.
Skoda Slavia B Electric Bike Concept
Skoda Slavia B electric bike concept – The electric Cafe Racer
While getting new aerodynamic body panels, Slavia B electric cafe racer concept utilizes a frame that looks similar to the one used with the original Slavia B. For vintage aesthetics, the concept gets brown leather items such as a leather seat, leather tool bag and leather grips for the handlebar and foot pegs.
The original Slavia B had the petrol engine and other components mounted within the frame. This space in the electric concept has been left empty. It has the Laurin & Klement logo in a floating effect format. The rider seat also follows the same floating design approach.
Skoda Slavia B Electric Bike Concept
Apart from these, the Slavia B electric concept has largely a contemporary, futuristic profile. Key highlights include USD front forks, low-set handlebar, large alloy wheels with rectangular-shaped spokes and slick tyres. At the front, the electric bike has an illuminated ‘SKODA’ logo and a sharp LED headlamp and DRLs. While the bike looks functional, the riding stance is way too stretchy. Certainly not for real-world riding conditions.
    Launch timeline?
It is unlikely that the Slavia B electric cafe racer concept motorcycle will make it to the assembly line. This is a one-off concept that pays homage to the rich history of Laurin & Klement and Skoda. The bike has been created by French designer Romain Bucaille. The basic initial design was done as pencil sketches, followed by more advanced digital tools to give the concept its final shape. In a way, Slavia B electric concept also highlights Skoda’s advanced 3D modelling tools that the brand uses for its strikingly designed cars.
Original Laurin & Klement Slavia B Motorcycle
A bit about the original Slavia B
Introduced in 1899, the Laurin & Klement Slavia B was equipped with a 240cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It generated 1.75 hp and had a top speed of 40 km/h. There was no gearbox and power to the rear wheel was transferred via a flat belt. The bike also had pedals that were used for starting the engine and to work as auxiliary propulsion. During the five-year period from 1899 to 1904, around 540 units of the Slavia B were manufactured. More
