Honda Africa Twin ADV Recalled Over Certain Electrical Harness – Details

    Honda Africa Twin ADV Recalled
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has issued a voluntary recall of its flagship ADV, the CRF1100L Africa Twin motorcycle. This is not just limited to India, as a market, but is a global recall affecting all Honda Africa Twins manufactured from the past six years. The issue is related to packaging of electrical wiring harnesses. Let’s take a closer look.
    Honda Africa Twin ADV Recalled
One of the most popular large capacity ADVs in the world, Honda Africa Twin CRF1100L, has been recalled by the brand. This global recall is also knocking the doors of Indian market and Honda will fix this issue as per requirement and at no additional costs incurred at the owner’s tab across the world.
    Honda Africa Twin
This voluntary recall announced by Honda is limited to Africa Twin ADVs manufactured in around a six year time frame from 2019 to 2025. All units manufactured within this time frame are eligible to avail replacement of affected parts from Honda’s authorised service centres for free. In India, BigWing Topline dealerships will ensure the replacement of affected parts.
Honda has revealed that this is a precautionary recall and the replacement of parts will be done irrespective of warranty status of said motorcycle. The company has not disclosed an exact number of affected vehicles that were manufactured between 2019 and 2025.
    Honda Africa Twin
    What is the issue?
As per Honda, the issue is regarding the wiring harness connecting left side handlebar switchgear. Due to continuous handlebar movement, this wiring harness experiences repeated bending. Over time, this might lead to oxidation at the joint terminal of the harness wire, causing conduction issues.
As a result of this, riders may not be able to use horn, or there may be difficulty in switching headlight from low beam to high beam, among others. Honda is proactively working to fix this and ensure an optimum experience to all Africa Twin CRF1100L owners.
    Honda Africa Twin
The timeline for replacement of parts, revealed by Honda, will start from 4th week of January 2026. Which is around half a calendar year away. BigWing Topline dealers will proactively notify customers via call / e-mail / SMS for inspection of their vehicle starting today. Customers can also check if their vehicle falls under this recall VIN number on Honda’s website.

TVS Jupiter 110 Special Edition Launch Price Rs 93k – All-Black Colour

TVS Jupiter 110 Special EditionWith the Jupiter 110 Special Edition, the focus is primarily on achieving a sportier profile and more powerful presence
Jupiter is the top selling TVS two-wheeler and the second best selling scooter in the country after Honda Activa. While it already has seven exciting colour options, a black shade was not on offer. TVS has now addressed that gap with the new all-black Special Edition of Jupiter 110. It costs Rs 1,000 more than the Disc SXC variant. Let’s check out the details.
TVS Jupiter 110 Special Edition – Styling and features
The just launched Jupiter 110 Special Edition is positioned as the new top variant. The focus is primarily on enhancing the visual look and feel of the scooter. Key highlight is a matte black shade that can be seen across the front panel, mudguard and side panels. Jupiter 110 Special Edition also has dark chrome elements across the headlamp cowl, front panel, grab rail and at the rear.
Distinctive detailing can be seen around the digital instrument console and under the rear tail lamp. Inner panelling around the floorboard area has a grainy finish, which ensures a premium yet durable look. The seat is dual-tone, using a mix of black and light grey. Another key highlight is the use of bronze finish on the TVS logo and the model’s name. This treatment can also be seen on the ‘JUPITER’ lettering on the side panel and ‘TVS’ lettering at the rear.
This new all-black look of Jupiter 110 Special Edition works well to enhance the scooter’s sporty profile. While glossy black options are quite common in the entry-level scooter segment, the matte black finish ensures a more distinctive, dominating presence. The creases of the body panelling are more pronounced with this new matte black shade. The only component that gets a chrome finish is the exhaust heat shield. This makes it quite noticeable against the scooter’s all-black theme.
    TVS Jupiter 110 Special Edition
Apart from the new colour theme and distinctive badging elements, other features are the same as the Disc SXC variant. Segment-first features include an infinity light bar, infinity tail light bar, LED headlamp and external front fuel fill. The scooter has a premium 3D emblem, patented E-Z centre stand and USB mobile charging port.
    Same hardware
Mechanically, the new TVS Jupiter 110 Special Edition remains unchanged. Powering the scooter is a 113.3 cc, single cylinder engine that generates 8 PS and 9.8 Nm of torque. It is paired with a CVT automatic transmission. The scooter has telescopic forks at the front and dual rear shock absorbers with 3-step adjustment.
Both ends have 12-inch wheels, wrapped in 90/90 tubeless tyres. Braking setup comprises a 220 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum brake. Seat height of 756 mm makes the scooter easily manageable. The scooter has a kerb weight of 106 kg and ground clearance of 163 mm. Users benefit from 33 litres of underseat storage and 2 litres of front glove box space.
Tech kit for TVS Jupiter 110 Special Edition includes a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Users can access a range of features such as navigation with voice assist, call and SMS alerts and Find My Vehicle. Segment-first features include distance-to-empty and average fuel economy display. BMW G310RR: Now at Rs 2.81 Lakh

BMW C400 GT: Price Reduced to Rs 10.83 Lakh

For BMW Motorrad, the G310RR becomes a stronger value proposition in the entry-level sportbike segment, while the C400 GT’s reduced price enhances its appeal among urban elites and touring enthusiasts. Both models will be available at the new prices from September 22, 2025, across all BMW Motorrad dealerships in India. More

Royal Enfield Electric Himalayan Spied Getting Charged Enroute Ladakh

RE Electric Himalayan Spied Getting ChargedOne of the world’s leading classic motorcycle manufacturers, Royal Enfield, is going out on its limb to enter the lucrative electric 2W segment. While the Flying Flea brand is gaining traction, all eyes seem to be on Electric Himalayan project.
Test mules of Electric Himalayan have been spied multiple times. Royal Enfield has officially teased Electric Himalayan test beds off-roading in Leh Ladakh region. Recent spy shots show Royal Enfield Electric Himalayan test mules getting charged via charging stations and mobile chargers on wheels running on ICE generators. Let’s take a closer look.
RE Electric Himalayan Spied Getting Charged
    Electric Himalayan Spied Getting Charged
Royal Enfield Himalayan is one of the company’s most celebrated models. It aims to be a hardcore off-roader and then a versatile tourer. The company has flexed its engineering prowess with Himalayan as it was their first ever ADV. Now, the company is porting over its expertise into electric 2W segment and Himalayan is a candidate.
    RE Electric Himalayan
Electric Himalayan has been recently spied testing enroute Ladakh for testing. Being an electric motorcycle, it needs recharging especially while range usually drops while tackling inclines in mountain terrains. These test mules seen in recent spy shots were connected to fixed charging stations and then mobile chargers.
    RE Electric Himalayan
These mobile chargers are likely to be working on diesel generators. In this case, the generator was housed inside a Force Traveller van. Royal Enfield seems to be operating a large number of test mules and that is why existing chargers were not enough to charge them all at once, necessitating the need for mobile chargers.
    RE Electric Himalayan
However, this reflects the fact that India’s electric charging infrastructure is still in its nascent stage and is yet to evolve further. If a group of 10 friends took a ride like this, all on electric 2W or cars, there are just not enough charging stations to accommodate them all at once.
RE Electric Himalayan Twin Battery Setup
What to expect from Electric Himalayan?
As seen in the video by er.janakbhardwaj on Instagram, Royal Enfield Electric Himalayan comes equipped with two separate battery packs. These could be removable allowing users to carry these battery packs to their apartments to charge. Also, this design might help users to carry battery packs to nearest domestic plug when fully depleted rather than pushing the entire motorcycle. Think jerrycans, but for electric 2W vehicles.
    RE Electric Himalayan
Overall ethos of Himalayan ICE motorcycle have been carried over. In this sense, Electric Himalayan is still an off-roader as it gets large wire-spoke wheels with off-road tyres, high ground clearance and suspension travel, a tall windscreen for wind protection and more. It has to be noted that the units spied are still test beds and they get a lot of premium components.
    RE Electric Himalayan
Most of these might not make it to final production model when launched. The company has not revealed a launch timeline, but Electric Himalayan is going to be a global product. Where performance is concerned, Electric Himalayan packs a mid-mounted motor from Spanish EV brand Stark Future SL, which could pack enough oomph to match Himalayan 450’s performance.
