    Honda CB300R De-Listed From Website – Discontinued?

Honda CB300RHonda Motorcycles and Scooters India has a vast portfolio in the country. At the premium end of this portfolio within the single-cylinder offerings, we had CB300R, a neo retro motorcycle. CB300R was first launched all the way back in February 2019, marking a new journey for CB lineup in India.
Fast-forwarding to October 2025, Honda seems to be pulling the plug on this motorcycle. It was recently de-listed from the company’s official website suggesting a discontinuation. Will there be an updated version of CB300R? Or was it the last of premium 300cc single-cylinder offerings from Honda? Let’s take a closer look.
    Honda CB300R
    Honda CB300R Discontinued
CB300R from Honda has had quite a journey in India. It was first launched in February 2019 for a price tag of Rs 2.41 lakh (Ex-sh) via the CKD route. It was discontinued in July 2020 and a new BS6 model was awaited. It was then re-launched in India in January 2022 with more localised components and a few updates for a price tag of Rs 2.77 lakh (Ex-sh).
In October 2023, Honda slashed the prices of CB300R to Rs 2.4 lakh (Ex-sh), down by Rs 37k, making it more appealing to buyers. Last month, the GST 2.0 revisions made CB300R even more appealing by bringing the price down to Rs 2.19 lakh (Ex-sh), down by as much as Rs 21k.
    Honda CB300R
Despite the price revisions, CB300R remained as one of the company’s least-selling vehicles. Which could have led to a potential discontinuation of CB300R in October 2025. The main strength of CB300R was its weight. Or the lack thereof. It weighed 146 kg, while packing around 32 PS of peak power from its 286cc single-cyl liquid-cooled engine.
    Will it make a comeback?
We sure hope so, given the seesaw moments CB300R has had in our market. With latest GST 2.0 revisions benefitting motorcycles under 350cc, there is huge potential if Honda packages CB300R better. The model discontinued (potentially), lacked a modern TFT instrumentation with Bluetooth and Navigation, Type-C ports and other features.
    New Honda Roadster Patented
There is a new neo-retro premium motorcycle has been patented in India and we wish it is the next CB300R packed with premium features. USD telescopic front forks, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, fat and sticky tyres, a new TFT screen with a host of features, and more, could be part of the package. More

2026 Hero Xtreme 125R Launch Price Rs 1.04 Lakh – Dual ABS, Ride Modes, Cruise Control

2026 Hero Xtreme 125R Reach Showrooms – Shahrukh AkhtarDual-channel ABS with Xtreme 125R aligns with the broader plan to enhance safety for two-wheeler riders
India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, is keen on strengthening its portfolio beyond the 100cc segment. Towards that end, Hero is working on multiple new products including new electric two-wheelers. Another strategy that seems to be delivering results is the introduction of premium features with existing bikes and scooters. Most recent example is the introduction of dual-channel ABS with the Xtreme 125R. Let’s check out the details.
    2026 Hero Xtreme 125R – Dual-channel ABS
As may be recalled, Hero Xtreme 125R was launched last year at the Hero World 2024 event. At that time, the bike was equipped with single-channel ABS. It was the top variant that had the ABS, priced at Rs 99,500. Hero Xtreme 125R is positioned as a rival to the likes of Honda CB125 Hornet, TVS Raider and Bajaj Pulsar N125.
2026 Hero Xtreme 125R Reach Showrooms
To enhance overall value for consumers and improve safety, Hero has now introduced dual-channel ABS with Xtreme 125R. This is essentially an optional upgrade, available with the top variant. The single-channel Xtreme 125R will continue to be on sale alongside the dual-channel ABS variant. Customers can also choose the base variant, which does not have any ABS. It has a combined braking system (CBS) instead.
As of now, single-channel ABS is mandatory only for bikes of more than 125cc displacement. For bikes up to 125cc, it is up to the manufacturer to decide if they want to offer CBS, single-channel ABS or dual-channel ABS. With the Xtreme 125R getting the option of dual-channel ABS, a similar move could be possible with rival offerings. TVS Raider and Honda CB125 Hornet are equipped with single-channel ABS. Bajaj Pulsar N125 comes with CBS.

    Cruise control, riding modes
Xtreme 125R has also been updated with Electronic Throttle Body (ETB or ride-by-wire throttle), 3 ride modes (Eco, Road and Power) and cruise control. With these new features, users can expect a better overall experience with the bike. In other updates, the dual-channel Xtreme 125R gets three exclusive colour options – Black Pearl Red, Black Matshadow Grey and Black Leaf Green. These have distinctive graphics as well in comparison to the single-channel ABS and CBS variants.
Hero Xtreme 125R gets power from a 124.7 cc, air-cooled engine that generates 11.4 bhp and 10.5 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed, constant mesh gearbox. The engine is designed to optimize both performance and fuel efficiency. The bike can achieve 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, which is claimed to be the fastest in the 125cc segment. Xtreme 125R offers a mileage of 66 km/l, which is pretty impressive for a 125cc bike.
Hero Xtreme 125R dual-channel ABS variant is available at a starting price of Rs 1.04 lakh. It is around Rs 12,000 costlier than the single-channel ABS variant that is priced at Rs 92,500. The base variant with CBS is priced at Rs 89,000. More

India’s two-wheeler industry recorded a strong performance in October 2025. Sales in the two-wheelers were at lifetime highs. The segment has posted improved sales thanks to better rural sentiment, an upward surge in liquidity, while there was a positive impact thanks to new GST reforms. Company dealerships cited the past month as being the best festive season in recent memory, with improved demand both for commuter bikes and scooters, and renewed interest in the EV segment.

Bajaj Auto sales surged to 3,23,713 units last month, a YoY growth over 2,31,048 units sold in the same month last year. Despite this improvement in sales, its market share dipped to 10.28% from 11.13%. Buyer could be awaiting the next gen Chetak that is currently on its test rounds and even as it was under camouflage, a series of design and feature updates are expected.
Royal Enfield also reported a strong performance last month, with sales rising to 1,44,615 units, up from 98,163 units in the same period last year. Similarly, Suzuki Motorcycle recorded healthy growth, with retail sales increasing to 1,35,715 units compared to 1,07,107 units a year ago.

Ola Electric sales declined to 16,036 units while in Oct 2024 it had been at the top of electric two wheeler sales charts with 41,843 unit sales.
The sales list also included Greaves Electric (Ampere EV) with 7,629 unit sales over 3,990 unit sales in the same month last year. Classic Legends followed with 6,922 units while Piaggio sales also ended positively at 3,666 units. There were others on this list that added 16,252 units to total retail sales, up from 13,587 units on a YoY basis. More

What stands out with 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R is the addition of an electronic throttle (ride-by-wire technology) that has enabled Hero MotoCorp to add Cruise Control feature. This is the same system we saw with Glamour X and Xtreme 125R, which will make its way to more Hero products.

Cruise Control switch is integrated into right-hand switchgear. We can also see new switchgear on left-hand side that will control the new colour LCD instrument cluster. There are ride modes and dual-channel ABS is on offer too. Tyre sizes and fuel tank capacity seems to be the same. Also same is its 163.2cc single-cylinder 4V/cyl oil-cooled engine that is capable of generating 16.6 bhp of peak power and 14.6 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. USB port is surprisingly still of Type-A, while 2026 Xtreme 125R and Glamour X got Type-C ones.

Hero MotoCorp seems to be using Cruise Control to boost its market share in the highly contested 160cc segment. Something which all of its rivals currently lack. A formal launch is awaited. More

Updated Hero Xtreme 250R, Karizma 250 and Xoom 160 Showcased at EICMA

Updated Hero Xtreme 250R, Karizma 250, Xoom 160 Showcased at EICMAAt the 2025 EICMA Show, Hero MotoCorp has set up a large pavilion and showcased its future mobility directions in the form of multiple concepts. Apart from the futuristic 3W trike and the electric car (quadricycle) with gullwing doors, there were production-spec versions of Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition and Mavrick 440 Scrambler (Hunk 440 SX). Hat tip top automotive enthusiast Ankit who brought these developments to our attention.
Amidst all these, there were three exhibits that missed the hype train and went unnoticed. These include updated Xtreme 250R, updated Karizma XMR 250 and an updated Xoom 160. These updated versions bring quality-of-life improvements to these vehicles that will provide an overall better experience to end users. Let’s take a closer look at GeoMotoBikes’ video covering all three.
Updated Hero Xtreme 250R Showcased at EICMA
    Updated Hero Xtreme 250R
Hero Xtreme 250R was launched earlier this year as the company’s flagship Xtreme street naked motorcycle. Priced at Rs 1.66 lakh, Xtreme 250R is one of the most VFM proposition in the quarter-litre segment, offering 29.5 bhp and 25 Nm, from its 249.03cc single-cylinder DOHC 4V/cyl liquid-cooled engine.
Updated Hero Xtreme 250R Showcased at EICMA – Gets Cruise Control
Now, Hero MotoCorp has showcased an updated version of this Xtreme 250R motorcycle at EICMA Show in the form of Hunk 250R. Visually, this motorcycle remains unchanged as most of the updates are in features. It now gets an electronic throttle that has enabled Cruise Control feature with Xtreme 250R. There could be a Type-C USB port as well.
Updated Hero Karizma 250 Showcased at EICMA
    Updated Karizma XMR 250
While Hero MotoCorp has not launched Karizma XMR 250 yet, it has already been updated when compared to what was showcased at last year’s EICMA. Like updated Xtreme 250R, updated Karizma XMR 250 gets an electronic throttle (ride-by-wire) and Cruise Control. Karizma XMR 250 might launch in the country soon.
Updated Hero Karizma 250 Showcased at EICMA – Gets Cruise Control
    Updated Xoom 160
Just like how Hero MotoCorp updated Karizma XMR 250 before launch, we wished a similar treatment was given to Xoom 160 ADV scooter. Between unveiling it in 2023 EICMA and launching it in 2025, Xoom 160 didn’t gain any new features while the game had moved forward. This created a disconnect between Hero’s recent advancements and Xoom 160 launched.
Updated Hero Xoom 160 Showcased at EICMA
Hero seems to be on damage control as an updated Xoom 160 was just showcased at EICMA 2025. The main updates include LED turn indicators replacing the halogen ones, rear disc brake replacing drum unit (dual channel ABS likely) and there seems to be an updated instrument cluster that could be the same colour LCD unit seen on Xtreme 250R.
    [embedded content]
There’s still no Cruise Control on Xoom 160 even though Hero offers this feature on a 125cc budget commuter. A ride-by-wire system could have helped Hero to retune the unusually long throttle action on current Xoom 160. The same switchgear as current India-spec model has been carried over. Even the Xoom 125 gets much more premium switchgear than this flagship scooter.
