Ather Electric Scooters Launched With BaaS – Rizta At Rs 76k, 450 At Rs 84k

Ather RiztaAther Energy Ltd, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, has announced three key initiatives aimed at tackling the biggest barriers to EV adoption — high upfront cost, resale value uncertainty, and long-term maintenance concerns.
The company has rolled out Battery as a Service (BaaS), expanded its Assured Buyback Programme to a wider customer base, and introduced an Extended Comprehensive Warranty (ECW). Together, these moves aim to make EV ownership more affordable, secure, and worry-free for Indian customers.
Ather Rizta BaaS Pricing and Details
    Lower Upfront Costs with BaaS
With BaaS, customers can buy an Ather scooter without paying for the battery upfront, instead opting for flexible monthly battery usage plans. Pricing starts as low as Rs 1 per kilometre (based on a 48-month package with a minimum of 1,000 km/month).
This reduces the starting price of the Ather Rizta to Rs 75,999 and the Ather 450 Series to Rs 84,341 (ex-showroom Lucknow) — a reduction of up to 30% compared to standard pricing. Customers will also get one year of free fast charging at Ather’s 3,300+ fast chargers across India.
Ather 450 BaaS Pricing and Details
Assured Buyback for Resale Value Confidence
Ather’s Assured Buyback Programme, initially launched as a pilot earlier this year, now offers up to 60% of the scooter’s value after three years and up to 50% after four years, depending on kilometres travelled. This initiative addresses buyer concerns about uncertain resale values in the fast-evolving EV market.
Extended Comprehensive Warranty for Peace of Mind
The new ECW covers the battery and 11 critical components — including the motor, motor controller, dashboard, and charger — for up to five years or 60,000 km (whichever is earlier). This coverage helps protect owners from unexpected repair costs and is available to all AtherStack Pro customers.
Ravneet S Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, said: “As the EV segment continues to grow in the country, we see customers with different needs and challenges entering the segment. To unlock the segment’s true potential and accelerate growth, we’ve rolled out a slew of initiatives to cater to the different needs of our potential customers. With BaaS, ECW and Assured Buyback, we aim to address major barriers that exist for customers when purchasing a new EV scooter. As one of the leading players, we stay committed to making it easier for families to experience the benefits of EVs.” More

2026 Kawasaki KLX230 vs Xpulse 210 – New Price, New Perspective

2026 Kawasaki KLX230 vs Xpulse 210Kawasaki India is making a lot of buzz and generating headlines for the right reasons this time around. We’re talking about the price revision of KLX230 ADV, which is now available for a price tag of Rs 1.99 lakh (Ex-sh), slashing the prices by Rs 1.3 lakh. This makes it a better contender to Hero Xpulse 210, which starts from Rs 1.76 lakh (Ex-sh).
Last time we compared these two motorcycles, Kawasaki KLX230 was almost twice as expensive than Xpulse 210, making it a hard pill to swallow. With 2026 model, Kawasaki KLX230 is a striking proposition and it calls for a second round of comparison with Xpulse 210. Let’s see what’s what.
    2026 Kawasaki KLX230 vs Xpulse 210
When launched, KLX230 was Kawasaki’s third localized motorcycle in India after Ninja 300 and W175. Despite that, prices were on the higher side at Rs 3.3 lakh (Ex-sh). Now, Kawasaki has had a change of heart and has dropped Rs 1.3 lakh off the price tag of KLX230, making it a much more potent contender against Hero’s Xpulse 210.
Both motorcycles are set up to go off-roading right off the bat following a similar format. Differences lie in the way they achieve it. Starting with the powertrain, Xpulse 210 packs a more modern 210cc liquid-cooled engine with a DOHC 4V/cyl head. It cranks out 24.26 bhp and 20.7 Nm. In comparison, KLX230 has an old-school engine with less performance on paper.
    2026 Kawasaki KLX230 vs Xpulse 210
Despite the fact that KLX230 is around 30 kg lighter, Xpulse 210 has a higher power-to-weight ratio. Xpulse is more of a multi-purpose vehicle fit to be the only bike in your garage as it has laudable touring capabilities in the form of a semi-fairing, larger 13L fuel tank, longer 1,446 mm wheelbase, LED projector headlights, 4.2-inch TFT screen with navigation features and more.
In comparison, Kawasaki KLX230 is more off-road-focussed in the way it is specced. For starters, it has a higher ground clearance, longer suspension travel at both front and rear and lighter weight, making it more formidable off-road. That said, both bikes can do serious off-roading as they both get 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels wrapped with dual-purpose tyres.
Is Xpulse 210 still the VFM champ?
As it is now, Xpulse 210 is more accessible for shorter riders as it has an 830 mm seat height. Things might change soon if Hero offers a Pro variant with Xpulse 210 with higher ground clearance, longer suspension travel, knobby off-road tyres and most importantly, fully adjustable front and rear suspension, something which KLX230 lacks completely.
Even with a Pro variant, Hero will probably undercut 2026 Kawasaki KLX230’s revised prices. KLX230 emerges as the potent off-roader that is light and agile. A stellar choice for a 2nd motorcycle. However, Xpulse 210 aims to be much more than just an off-roader as it boasts touring-friendly attributes to be that one motorcycle in your garage that will do everything. More

TVS Ntorq 150 Teased Ahead Of Sep 1st Unveil – New Design, Features?

TVS Ntorq 150 TeasedTVS Motor is credited with the creation of a sporty scooter segment in India within 125cc displacement category. The company did this with Ntorq 125 which held its crown in this sporty 125cc scooter segment for around 7 years. Now, TVS is upping the game with a new Ntorq 150 (name not confirmed), which has been teased for the first time ahead of official unveil.
    TVS Ntorq 150 Teased
Ntorq 125 was launched way back in 2018 and has ruled the sporty 125cc space for a long time. There has been multiple updates to this scooter in terms of facelifts with improved features list and other paraphernalia. TVS even infused some fun into the mix as it launched Super Squad Editions in collaboration with Marvel.
Now, TVS is upping the game in sporty scooter segment with the launch of a larger Ntorq, which is teased for the first time. In true TVS fashion, not a lot is known about this upcoming scooter, which will be unveiled on September 1st 2025. Word on the streets is that TVS will launch a 150cc Ntorq to rival Yamaha’s Aerox 155, Aprilia SR175 and soon to launch Hero Xoom 160.
Where design is concerned, soon to launch TVS Ntorq 150 is still under the wraps. Only headlight design is revealed in TVS’ latest teaser. Speaking of, there seems to be a quad-projector LED headlight setup on this scooter. Two, for low beam and two for high beam, we suppose.
New TVS Scooter Spied – Is this Ntorq 150?
    What to expect?
These headlights are likely to be fixed on front apron, rather than on its handlebar. Where components are concerned, Ntorq 150 could be based on 14-inch alloy wheels at both ends, first TVS scooter to do so. This has become a trend in the recent times as Aerox 155, SR 175, SR 125 and even Xoom 125 offer 14-inch wheels.
Larger wheels help in plusher and sorted ride dynamics along with a certain level of rough-road ability which smaller wheels cannot achieve. One can even hope for rear disc brake, which has become common in performance electric scooters. We can also expect the same 5-inch TFT instrument screen seen with Raider 125.

Rumour mill suggests TVS Ntorq 150 will pack around 150cc of displacement with performance metrics of around 12 bhp of peak power and 13 Nm of peak torque, mated to a CVT gearbox. Tag line for this upcoming scooter is ‘Feel The Thrill For Never Before’, suggesting a thrilling performance. Even the exhaust note in this teaser has a bassy tone to it. TVS will unveil it on September 1st and deliveries are likely to commence after some time.

2026 Kawasaki KLX230 Launch Price Rs 1.94 Lakh – Massive Price Cut

2026 Kawasaki KLX230 LaunchedWith KLX230 in India, Kawasaki opened a new chapter in the country as it was the brand’s first road legal mainstream off-road motorcycle. However, the rather high Rs 3.3 lakh launch price made it less mainstream and this motorcycle slipped through the cracks as more affordable off-roaders marched ahead.
Now, Kawasaki India has had a change of heart and is trying to make KLX230 off-roader more accessible to mainstream buyers. Kawasaki is not offering a limited period discount or a festive offer. Instead, the company has straight up slashed price tag of Kawasaki KLX 230 by Rs 1.3 lakh. Let’s take a closer look.
    2026 Kawasaki KLX230 Launched
    2026 Kawasaki KLX230
Rs 1.99 lakh (Ex-sh). That’s the new prices of Kawasaki KLX 230, making it more affordable to mainstream buyers by Rs 1.3 lakh. Kawasaki is offering this new price point bundled as 2026 model year, whereas 2025 model was priced at Rs 3.3 lakh (Ex-sh), while immediate rival from Hero MotoCorp was available at almost half the price.
    2026 Kawasaki KLX230R S Launched
The company has also launched a 2026 model year KLX230R S, which is a trail-only version of KLX230. This motorcycle cannot be registered to ride on the road as weight-saving measures ensure no ORVMs, headlights, turn indicators, grab rails and other elements. It even gets knobby off-road tyres and KLX230R S is priced at Rs 1.94 lakh (Ex-sh).
    2026 Kawasaki KLX230 Launched
Launched in December 2024, Kawasaki KLX230 was a highly anticipated motorcycle in India. However, the pricing was salt on the wound for many prospective buyers. Kawasaki is taking a similar approach as W175 with 2026 KLX230 and is reducing the price as damage control measures and to attract buyers.
    Better value for buyers?
With these new prices, spotlight is back on the KLX230, which is now a very compelling product for buyers looking for a hard-core off-roader with better suspension travel, higher ground clearance and being 30 kg lighter than Hero MotoCorp’s Xpulse 210. For context, Xpulse 210 prices start from Rs 1.76 lakh and go till Rs 1.86 lakh (Ex-sh).
    2026 Kawasaki KLX230 Launched
While Xpulse 210 comes off as a beginner friendly tourer and off-roader, KLX230 is more off-road focussed. Hero might change that with a Pro variant with fully adjustable suspension, higher ground clearance, more suspension travel, knobby off-road tyres and still undercut KLX230, but it cannot shed its higher weight, which is the core strength of the Kawa.
Powering the 2026 Kawasaki KLX230 is the same 233cc single-cylinder SOHC 2V/cyl engine as before. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is capable of generating 17.85 bhp of peak power and 18.3 Nm of peak torque. More
