Yamaha New Prices Feb 2022 – FZ, R15, MT15, Aerox, Fascino, RayZR

2022 Yamaha MT15 Facelift to get Bluetooth / updatesThis is the second price hike announced by Yamaha this year; only select models have become costlierTrend of repetitive price hikes, as was witnessed last year, continues in 2022. Global supply chain has been deeply impacted, resulting in shortages of various components. This has led to significant increase in production cost for auto companies. There comes a time when manufacturers can no longer absorb the higher costs and have to pass a part of it to end users.Yamaha February 2022 pricesYamaha price hike in February is largely for its scooters. Prices of almost all Yamaha motorcycles is the same as that in January 2022. Only exception is R15 V3 Blue variant, which has become costlier by Rs 100. New price is Rs 1,58,700. Prices of other popular motorcycles like FZ-FI, FZ-X, FZ 25, MT15 and R15 are the same as earlier.Prices of Yamaha scooters have been increased selectively. Hiked amount is in the range of Rs 1k to Rs 1.2k. Specific variants of RayZR are now costlier by Rs 1k. A similar price hike is applicable for Aerox 155.Highest price hike in February is applicable for select variants of Fascino. These have become costlier by Rs 1,200. In percentage terms, Yamaha scooters have become costlier in the range of 0.76% to 1.66%. The regular variants, which did not have hybrid tech, have been discontinued. Aerox 155 Monster Energy Edition has also been discontinued.Yamaha Scooters Prices Feb 2022 vs Jan 2022Last month in January, Yamaha had increased prices of R15 V4, R15 V4 M, FZ-X, Aerox, and Fascino. Prices were increased in the range of Rs 800 to Rs 2,000. At that time, Yamaha had issued a statement saying that prices were increased due to rise in cost of raw materials and compliance with safety regulation of footrest.Yamaha Scooters Cashback Offer Feb 2022Yamaha Motor India announced a special cash back offer on its Hybrid Scooter models – Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid and RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid. The offer is valid for the entire month of February in Assam, Northeast, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.Below are the Cash back Offer details state-wise:a) Assam, Northeast & West Bengal: Cash Back offer upto Rs. 2,500 on Fascino 125 Fi Hybridb) Maharashtra: Cash Back offer upto Rs. 2,500 on Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid & Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybridc) Tamil Nadu: Cash Back offers upto Rs. 5000 on Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid & Ray ZR 125 Fi HybridYamaha Motorcycles Prices Feb 2022 vs Jan 2022It is unlikely that price hike will have any impact on sales. That’s because most two-wheeler manufacturers have announced price hikes in recent months. Manufacturers favour multiple price hikes over a single price hike per year, as it cushions the impact on end users. Just like last year, it is possible that prices may again be revised later this year.Yamaha electric scooter launchA negative fallout that companies like Yamaha can face in the near future is the shift to EVs. As prices of petrol-powered two-wheelers rise, an increasing number of customers are shifting to electric two-wheelers. There’s not much difference now between the two in terms of pricing. Moreover, users stand to gain from reduced running and maintenance cost of EVs.In view of these developments, Yamaha is readying its first electric scooter for Indian market. It will be the production version of E01 concept that was unveiled at 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. Yamaha electric scooter was recently spotted on road tests in Japan. Some key features include dual-beam headlamp, compact windscreen, large front apron and comfy seat.Although specs have not been revealed, Yamaha electric scooter is likely to have true range of around 70-80 km. It could be offered with swappable batteries to make refuelling a lot more convenient and faster. More

Yamaha FZ-X Modified Into Neo Retro Scrambler With Electric Blue Shade

Yamaha FZ-X ModifiedHyderabad-based Eimor Customs has created a beautiful looking scrambler with a neo-retro styling based on Yamaha FZ-XDespite Yamaha’s shrunken portfolio in India, the Japanese bikemaker offers one of the best-looking lineups of motorcycles and scooters. However, frankly speaking, the FZ-X is not one of them since it aims to be a retro motorcycle when it clearly isn’t.Based on the FZ range of bikes, FZ-X is almost identical to its naked streetfighter sibling underneath that weird attire. However, a unit of FZ-X recently went under the knife at Eimor Customs and what came out, as a result, was a beautifully crafted neo-retro scrambler. The Hyderabad-based aftermarket workshop was recently responsible for restoring and converting an old Yamaha Libero into a retro-style cafe racer. With the latest FZ-X as the donor bike, Eimor Customs has gone a step further and made a custom scrambler which looks very lovely in these pictures at least. The stock motorcycle has undergone plenty of aesthetic changes to look the way it looks now.Custom Yamaha FZ-X Scrambler: DesignFor starters, the first thing that catches our attention is the redesigned fuel tank with a dual-tone theme comprising electric blue and black shades with a cracking pattern design on it. The radiator shrouds and exhaust canister are protected by a cover anodised in dark golden colour. The tail section has been chopped short and curved upwards. As a result, the bike gets a shorter saddle with a nice ribbed pattern.Yamaha FZ-X ModifiedThe seat gets a signature pillion cowl and can only accommodate the rider. The rear fender has also been chopped off and the saddle frame now hosts an aftermarket LED stripe which acts as a brake light. Front fender also appears shorter than the stock model. Another addition that enhances its retro styling is new bar-end mirrors.Other highlights such as a rear tyre hugger, an engine belly crash guard, fork gaiters and a round headlight with integrated circular DRLs have been carried forward from the donor bike. The customised FZ-X now rides on new dual-purpose block pattern tyres which should make the bike more capable in off-road conditions. However, these new tyres are wrapped around the same blacked-out spoke alloy wheels. No changes in specsIn its regular avatar, Yamaha FZ-X is available in three colour options- Matte Copper, Matte Black, and Metallic Blue. No changes have been reported in terms of the bike’s specifications. Powering the FZ-X is a 149cc fuel-injected, single-cylinder air-cooled engine that develops 12.2 bhp and a peak torque of 13.3 Nm. This motor is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at front and a mono-shock at rear. Braking duties are taken care of by disc brakes at both ends aided by a single-channel ABS as standard. Prices for FZ-X start at Rs 1.17 lakh and go up to Rs 1.20 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Yamaha MT15 Based XSR 155 Modified As Flat Track Concept

Yamaha MT15 Based XSR 155 ModifiedYamaha isn’t going to launch XSR 155 in India anytime soon, the company instead launched FZ-X in the country last yearYamaha XSR 155 is one of the raging entry-level neo-retro motorcycles across several international markets, especially in Asia. It is undoubtedly one of the best looking bikes on sale globally by the Japanese bikemaker. As we all know, XSR 155 is based on a very versatile architecture that underpins a whole lot of models. These include YZF R15, MT-15, Aerox 155 and Nmax 155. The sheer versatility of the platform and engine is a major reason why aftermarket workshops are attracted to it. An Indonesian custom house named PapnMam has shown what the XSR 155 can be transformed into without changing its mechanicals.Yamaha XSR 155 turned Modern Flat TrackThe workshop has completely overhauled the stock neo-retro design of XSR 155 into a flat track concept and the modification carried out is simply radical. This customisation project is a part of the Yamaha Yard Built program which means the donor bike has been provided by Yamaha itself. PapnMam has named this custom-built motorcycle as ‘Modern Flat Track Concept’.The custom bike justifies its ‘modern’ tag as the modified XSR155 looks straight out from a science fiction movie with its futuristic styling. Since it is a flat track concept, body styling on the bike is flat and sleek with sharper edges and a flowy design with a distinct triangular shape. Speaking about modifications, not a single element from the attire of the stock XSR 155 has been retained.Modifications in DesignA flip-up headlight unit with a flat panel has replaced the circular LED headlight on the stock XSR 155. The fuel tank is flanked by metallic wings projected downwards extending towards the radiator, making the bike look edgy. It also features a metallic bash plate underneath the engine casing with a similar wing design.Tail section of the bike has been left exposed, giving it a unique floating look. Further, the contoured seat has been replaced by a flat seat with a pointed rear end. The stock single-port upswept exhaust has been replaced by a dual-port unit also encased under in a metal plate and placed under the seat.Upfront, the workshop has installed a flat track-style handlebar accompanied by downward hanging bar-end mirrors. The bike rolls on custom alloy wheels with a neon green rim lining that are shod with Pirelli radial tubeless tyres. The combination of aluminium and piano black finish accentuates the futuristic appeal of this custom-built XSR 155.Equipment on offerIn terms of equipment, this flat track concept gets a small round digital LCD instrument cluster whereas, as mentioned earlier, engine and hardware setup of the stock bike has been retained in this modified concept. The latter includes the same suspension and barking configurations. Powering the motorcycle is a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with VVA technology that produces 19 bhp and 14.7 Nm of peak torque. More

2022 Yamaha XSR155Yamaha XSR155 can work in Indian market, but it’s unlikely to be launched here anytime soonAs part of its 60th anniversary celebrations, Yamaha has launched 2022 XSR155 model in Indonesia. With the right accessories kit, the bike can be personalized into various formats including cafe racer, tracker and sport heritage.2022 Yamaha XSR155 – new coloursAs part of the update, Yamaha XSR155 2022 gets two new colour options. One of these is a dark shade of Blue, which utilizes a combo of blue and black. The paint scheme comes in matte finish, which complements the bike’s retro character. While much of the bike including engine, exhaust, alloy wheels, seat, engine guard and side panels are wrapped in black, the blue shade can be seen on the fuel tank and front fender. This colour theme is all about intrigue, power and understated elegance.Second colour option is just the opposite, as it’s a lot peppy, exuberant and vibrant. It’s for folks who want their rides to be noticed on the streets. The 60th anniversary colour theme has a glossy finish and utilizes an exciting mix of red and white against blacked-out bits.2022 Yamaha XSR155The bike’s sporty profile is enhanced further with golden-coloured USD front forks and alloy wheels. New Yamaha Fazzio 125cc Scooter With Hybrid Tech Debuts

    New Yamaha Fazzio 125cc Scooter
Yamaha Fazzio has been equipped with the same 125cc motor and hybrid technology used in Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid and Ray ZR
Yamaha Fascino Hybrid has a distant cousin launched in Indonesia. Called Fazzio Hybrid, the new 125cc scooter from Yamaha has been priced starting at IDR 21.7 million (Rs 1.12 lakh) and comes in six paint options. Fazzio has been made available in two trims namely Neo and Lux.
    New Yamaha Fazzio 125cc Scooter
The former is offered with four colour options while the latter comes in two shades. The biggest highlight of this scooter is its catchy retro design. Upfront, the scooter features a round headlamp and centre brace on the apron along with two turn indicators on each side.
Side panels are squarish while the single-piece saddle is on the flatter side. At rear, Fazzio features vertically-oriented taillight and turn indicators and a chunky single-piece grab rail. Blacked-out portions of the floorboard, exhaust muffler, rearview mirrors and alloy wheels lend a nice dual-tone appearance to the scooter.
Yamaha Fazzio – Features on offer
Styling aside, Fazzio appears to be a very practical scooter with more than enough storage spaces to pack one’s knick-knacks. This includes a large and flat footboard with two large cargo hooks to place one’s luggage. It also gets a decent 17.8-litre under-seat storage compartment. To avail more storage, accessory hangers are available as add ons.
    [embedded content]
The scooter is laced with many nifty features such as a fully digital instrument console enabled with Bluetooth connectivity and Yamaha’s Y-connect app. Other notable features on offer include a phone charging socket, a full LED headlight and a keyless lock/unlock system.
    Hardware, Powertrain Specs
Coming to its dynamics, the scooter is suspended on conventional telescopic forks at front and a mono-shock at rear. Braking duties are handled by a hydraulic front disc brake and a mechanical rear drum brake. Fazzio rolls on 12-inch alloy wheels which are wrapped around by tubeless tyres. It gets a 5.1-litre fuel tank.
Fazzio draws power from a 124.86cc single-cylinder engine which is equipped with Yamaha’s Blue Core Hybrid tech. This powertrain pushes out 8.3 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm, with power being transmitted to the rear wheels via a CVT gearbox and belt drive. Like Fascino, the hybrid tech comprises a Smart Motor Generator that adds a burst of torque during initial acceleration.
Fuel efficiency is improved thanks to an engine start/stop system which also reduces noise and emissions when at idle. Yamaha already has two 125cc scooters in India with more or less the same specifications. Chances of launching the new Fazzio in India are very less. More
