Yamaha R3 And R7 Get Updated With New Colours – India Launch ?

Yamaha R3 used to be sold in India with BS4 engine and couldn’t make the switch over to BS6 emission norms2023 Yamaha R3 New ColourYamaha India used to offer big bikes with high-capacity engines before. We used to get a lot of premium and enthusiast motorcycles of various genres and price segments. But now, the most expensive bike Yamaha sells in India is the 150cc YZF-R15M V4. At Rs.1.8 lakh (ex-sh), it is in no way justified for its ridiculous pricing. We can’t tell you why Yamaha’s big bikes are not on sale in India currently. But what we can tell you is that Yamaha seems to be making a comeback. We understand that since the launch of Royal Enfield 650 twins, 500cc+ segment is kinda one sided owing to their outstanding value. But there is a place for sporty Japs too.2023 Yamaha R3 & R7 Gets New ColoursEven though Yamaha’s higher-capacity YZF-R bikes are not offered in India, they are in huge demand in North American, European and even South East Asian markets too. Especially the liter-class R1. In America, JDM culture has been evolving at a rapid pace and Japanese motorcycles are gaining popularity too. So, Yamaha has introduced new colours for YZF-R7 and YZF-R3 in America.Yamaha R3 has been one of the favourites of supersport machine enthusiasts in India. It offered a decent bang for the buck and competed with the Kawasaki Ninja 300 which started this segment, to begin with. After it was discontinued due to stricter emission norms, it was due for a comeback. But that has not happened yet. New R3 India launch is expected by Diwali this year.2023 Yamaha R3 New ColourIn USA, R3 now gets a glossy Phantom Purple colour shade that looks outstanding. Looks wise, new R3 gets an aerodynamic shape and sharp aesthetics, largely inspired by MotoGP YZR-M1. It gets twin LED headlights, a central air duct for instant engine cooling, a compact, yet functional windscreen, RVMs and turn indicators mounted on fairing, a sporty fuel tank, sporty seats and an upswept exhaust. R3 is powered by a 321cc liquid-cooled DOHC twin-cylinder engine that generates 40.4 bhp and 29.4 Nm of torque. It gets a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.New Yamaha R7 ColourYamaha R7 is the successor of the mighty and beloved R6. R7 is a little disappointing when directly compared to R6. We say this because the R6 had a screamer of a 4-cylinder engine. It had the perfect ratio of capacity to cylinder count ensuring the best of both touring and also sporty track days. But R7 is just a twin-cylinder and can’t match the outright manic performance of a 4-cylinder.So, while R7 loses on raw performance, it also loses weight as twin-cylinder engines are generally lighter. For America, Yamaha has added Intensity White colour that is jaw-dropping in terms of appeal. There’s something about white colour that tickles the fancy of buyers. Even BMW charges Rs. 20,000 more for a white-coloured Apache RR 310.New Yamaha R7 White ColourIntensity White also gets red coloured wheels that just add more drama to the machine. Yamaha is expected to bring this R7 to our shores too. But that might happen in 2023. While R3 may launch in India around Diwali. When launched, we hope Yamaha offers these colours at least as an option. More

This indicates the possibility that these bikes could be launched in India soon.Yamaha R7 TeasedYamaha has been able to increase market share in the premium motorcycle segment and the next big push could come with its big bikes like R7 and MT-09. Such possibilities are also supported by statements given by Eishin Chihana, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group. Earlier this year in June, Chihana had said that Yamaha is planning to bring big bikes like R7 and MT-07 to India in limited quantities.Launch in 2022 will allow the company to avoid OBD-2 regulations, which come into effect from April 1, 2023. Going by the teaser, it seems that Yamaha has chosen MT-09 over MT-07 for India. Take a look at the TVC below.[embedded content][embedded content]In Indian market, Yamaha R7 will go up against the likes of Honda CBR650R and Kawasaki Ninja 650. Yamaha R7 is powered by a 689cc, twin cylinder, liquid cooled motor that generates max power of 73.4 PS and peak torque of 67 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, integrated with assist and slipper clutch and quick shift system. With R7, users can expect a true supersport experience. Yamaha Prices August 2022 Increased – FZ, R15, MT15, Fascino, RayZR

Even though Yamaha price hike has affected all models, FZ 25 got the most increment of Rs. 2,300Yamaha R15Yamaha has been doing really good in India lately. In June 2022, every single one of its offerings registered a positive growth with 111.89% YoY growth in total. This is in domestic sales, though. And not exports where only a few offerings registered positive growth.Keeping it to India, Yamaha recently gave us enthusiasts, very good news. The Japanese brand has confirmed that it will bring back the iconic and instantly recognizable RX100 moniker. This way, Yamaha has played strings of enthusiasts’ hearts. But we also have not-so-good news from the same company. Which is in the form of a price hike for August 2022.Yamaha Prices August 2022 – MotorcyclesYamaha has announced a price hike for August 2022. This price hike affects all models. But not every model gets the same increment. It varies from model to model and within models, variants too. Let’s go through these new developments. The price hike affects both motorcycles and scooters. Right off the bat, Yamaha FZ 25 gets the most price hike. It amounts to Rs. 2,300 for both FZ 25 and FZS 25 with a 1.59% and 1.54% increment over the previous pricing. Now, FZ 25 prices start from Rs. 1,46,900. All variants of FZ like FZ S and FZ S Deluxe get the same Rs. 1,000 increment with 0.89%, 0.83% and 0.81% increment over previous pricing respectively. Now, FZ prices start from Rs. 1,13,700.Yamaha Motorcycle Prices Aug 2022Second highest price hike is split between FZ X, MT 15 and R15 V4. When we say MT 15, all the colour variants get the same increment. Also, all the variants of R15 V4 like Metallic Red, Dark Knight, Racing Blue and even R15 M and World Grand Prix 60th Edition also get the same price hike. That amounts to Rs. 1,500.Last motorcycle on this list, R15 S gets a Rs. 1,000 price increment with just 0.62% increment which is second lowest in this entire list. MT 15 prices now start from Rs. 1,63,400 and R 15 V4 from Rs. 1,78,900.Yamaha Prices August 2022 – ScootersJust like motorcycles, Yamaha scooters also get a price hike for the month of August 2022. It is to be noted that drum brake variants of both Yamaha’s scooters, Fascino and Ray ZR do not get any sort of price hikes at all. Thus, it is likely that this new price hike with respect to rising input costs, seems to be primarily related to braking hardware and especially disc brakes. Apart from just braking hardware, other components will also have contributed, though.Yamaha Scooter Prices Aug 2022Interestingly, the most expensive scooter from Yamaha in India, Aerox 155 maxi-scooter, is the one that gets the least price hike of just Rs. 500. This amounts to just 0.36% increment. Completing the list of Yamaha’s price hike, we have the Fascino and Ray ZR 125cc scooters that received Rs. 1,400 price hikes each. This amounts to just around 1.65% increment over outgoing prices.Disc variants of Fascino now start from Rs. 85,030 and Ray ZR from Rs. 85,330. Manufacturers try to absorb most of the rising input costs and very little will be ported over to the customers to bear. Same goes with Yamaha too and this price hike is mostly comparable to the hike we saw in June 2022. All price hikes mentioned in the post are ex-sh, Delhi.  More

2022 Yamaha R3 India Launch Likely By Diwali This Year

Yamaha R3 was available earlier in India, but was discontinued due to stricter BS6 emission norms2022 Yamaha R3Yamaha YZF-R3 was launched in India in 2015, at a time when Yamaha had established itself as a leading provider of sports bikes in the country. However, due to the high pricing of Rs 3.25 lakh, Yamaha R3 could not register strong sales numbers. Last known price of the bike was Rs 3.51 lakh, which is higher than rivals like KTM RC 390 and TVS Apache RR310.BS6 version of Yamaha R3 was expected to be launched much earlier, but plans were delayed due to the pandemic. Sources tell Rushlane that R3 could be relaunched in India by Diwali 2022. If R3 has to emerge a bestseller, it is imperative that its pricing needs to be revised. It also has to deal with new competitors such as recently launched BMW G310RR. BMW’s entry-level faired bike is priced at Rs 2.85 lakh, which is around Rs 20k more than TVS Apache RR310.2022 Yamaha R3 featuresIn several international markets, Yamaha had launched the 2022 version of R3 this year. Changes made include tweaks to the chassis and use of lightweight, yet stronger pistons. 2022 R3 has a wet weight of 170 kg, which is less than both RC 390 and RR310. The latter has the classic, old-school look whereas Fascino has a balanced retro-modern mix.Yamaha Fazzio 125 featuresApart from its attractive retro styling, another thing that seems likeable is the scooter’s compact profile. Moreover, there are some exciting colour options to choose from. Standard version of Fazzio is available in four colour options of Blue, Red, Yellow and Grey. Fazzio’s engine supports both E10 and E20 Gasohol that have ethanol mix of 10% and 20%, respectively.New Yamaha 125cc Fazzio ScooterWhile Fazzio has a unique and attractive profile, it is unlikely to be launched in India. Yamaha’s focus here has primarily been on motorcycles that generate a greater percentage of the company’s sales. In related update, Yamaha could bring back RX100 in BS6 format. In the scooter segment, Yamaha is likely to focus on introducing premium lifestyle products. The company also has plans to launch electric scooters in India. More

Yamaha RD350 LC Modified For MS Dhoni – Exhaust Note, Yellow Colour

Yamaha RD350 LC was never launched in India, but quite a few enthusiasts did get it imported here privatelyYamaha RD350 LC modified for MS DhoniIn the news frequently for his automotive collection, former captain of Indian cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni is here again with a new trophy in the form of a customized Yamaha RD350 LC. This modification project has been carried out by Blue Smoke Customs, a leading vehicle restoration services provider in Chandigarh.Talking a bit about Yamaha RD350 LC, the bike was in production from 1980 to 1983. It was a successor to the larger RD400. Due to stricter emission norms and introduction of new technologies and features, Yamaha RD350 LC was replaced with other models such as RZ350, RD350LC II and RD350 YPVS.Yamaha RD350 LC modified for MS DhoniIn this customization project, focus is on preserving the soul of the bike, all while giving it a major performance boost. Much of the styling has been retained in its original format, as evident in features like round headlamp, turn indicators and rear view mirrors, twin-pod analogue instrument console, sculpted fuel tank design and rectangular tail lamp.Seat section has been modified and the saddle used is a customized unit. It is elevated towards the rear, something that compliments the bike’s sporty profile. Take a look at the detailed walkaround as well as listen to the exhaust note of Dhoni’s new Yamaha RD350 LC in the video below.[embedded content][embedded content]The bike gets a dual-tone colour theme of yellow and black, which was one of the original colour options offered with the bike. Yellow bits can be seen on the front mudguard, fuel tank, side panels and tail section. Riding ergonomics is fairly comfortable and there’s scope for a slightly committed stance too.To give it a Dhoni-specific personalization, the bike gets number ‘7’ on top of the fuel tank. This represents Dhoni’s jersey number that was used in both standard as well as club cricket tournaments. While 7 is apparently a lucky number, Dhoni had said that it actually represents his date of birth 7-7 (July 7). The last two digits of his birth year 81 (8-1) is also 7, according to Dhoni.Yamaha RD350 LC performance boostYamaha RD350 LC is powered by a 347cc parallel twin, two-stroke motor that generates 49 bhp of max power. While the engine is the same, performance and handling have been boosted with a range of aftermarket parts and components. The kit includes Uni air filter, JL twin exhausts, NGK spark plug, Zeeltronic Programmable CDI, VForce4 reed valve system by Moto Tassinari, Lectron carburettor, LMC silicone radiator coolant hose and Metmachex aluminium swingarm.Yamaha RD350 LC modified for MS DhoniAnother key highlight of the modified Yamaha RD350 LC is its throaty exhaust note. It gets even more exciting while accelerating. As seen in the video, the bike has superb acceleration and there’s hardly any match for it on the streets. Exhaust note feels similar to that of legendary RX100, but it’s a lot hardier and louder. The aural experience perfectly complements the bike’s robust profile and powerful performance.Source More
