TVS Ntorq 150 vs RivalsAfter the launch of Orbiter EV, TVS has now launched a highly anticipated ICE scooter in India. We’re talking about the Ntorq 150, which is the fastest, sportiest and most aggressive Ntorq TVS has ever sold. This sporty high-displacement scooter will lock horns with other sporty high-displacement scooters.
For the sake of this comparison, we have included Aprilia SR 175, Hero Xoom 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155. Aprilia SXR 160 is not included in this list as it is likely to be updated with the newer 175cc engine soon. We have compared engine specs, key dimensions, features and equipment offered by all these scooters and see where Ntorq 150 falls on paper.
    New TVS Ntorq 150
    Ntorq 150 vs Rivals
Since these are sporty and high-performance scooters, we have to start with engine parameters. Ntorq 150 comes with an air-cooled SOHC 3V/cyl engine with 13 bhp and 14.2 Nm. It holds up quite well against Aprilia SR 175, considering the displacement difference. However, Xoom 160 and Aerox 155 come with liquid-cooling technology.
Xoom cranks out 14.6 bhp and Aerox 14.79 bhp. Aerox has the least torque at 13.9 Nm, followed by Xoom at 14 Nm, SR at 14.14 Nm and highest is Ntorq 150 at 14.2 Nm. Ntorq 150 is the only one with Ride Modes (Street, Race). Only the SR 175 lacks engine start / stop feature to save fuel.
    TVS Ntorq 150 vs Rivals
    Dimensions & Components
SR 175 has the longest wheelbase at 1,365 mm, followed by Aerox, Xoom and Ntorq 150 has the shortest wheelbase. This and the 12-inch alloy wheels was a conscious decision by TVS to retain Ntorq’s handling characteristics. All other scooters come with 14-inch alloy wheels in this comparison favouring plusher ride quality.
Ground clearance is lowest with Aerox at 145 mm, while all other scooters come with 155 mm. Aerox has the highest seat height and Ntorq lowest. Kerb weight is the lowest with Ntorq 150 and highest with Xoom 160 which falls in motorcycle territory at 142 kg. Fuel tank is the largest with Xoom 160 at 7L and only the SR 175 comes with an internal fuel filler cap.
    Hero Xoom 160
Front disc and rear drum along with single-channel ABS is common in this segment. However, only Aerox and Ntorq get traction control. Only Aerox and Xoom get rear dual shock absorbers, halogen turn indicators and keyless go feature. While all scooters get Bluetooth connectivity, Aerox 155 misses out on useful features like navigation.
    Features
Ntorq 150 takes the features game to a new level as it gets 4G eSim feature unlocking a host of telematics features including Alexa integration, smartwatch integration, voice control, panic braking and a lot more. It has to be noted that Ntorq 150 and SR 175 get 5-inch TFT instrument clusters, while Xoom 160 and Aerox get LCD units.
    2025 Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S
Yamaha Aerox 155 comes out as the most expensive scooter on this list, while Hero Xoom 160 is trailing behind by a small margin. Aprilia SR 175 is priced at Rs 1.26 lakh and Ntorq 150 starts from Rs 1.19 lakh, undercutting them all. We currently have three or four contenders in this space and soon, TVS Motor is set to crash this party with Ntorq 150 (name not confirmed). While the test mule sightings and spy shots occurance are zero, TVS is gearing up for a full fledged launch.
    TVS Ntorq 150 Launch Date
Just after the company launched Orbit electric scooter, TVS Motor has shifted the spotlight on a new ICE scooter. This is not just any other ICE scooter, but the company’s most anticipated and most powerful scooter to date. We’re talking about the soon to launch Ntorq 150 scooter (name not confirmed).
As confirmed by the company, the most powerful Ntorq scooter is set to launch on September 4th, 2025. This is the first time TVS is venturing into a high displacement scooter segment and is likely to emerge a popular offering owing to already sought-after and celebrated Ntorq brand.
Not a lot is known about TVS Ntorq 150 and the way it will look. It might take on a maxi-scooter design or a large sporty-format scooter design. The teaser has revealed it’s headlight design which will get a quad-projector LED setup, two for low beam and two for high beam.
    New TVS Scooter Spied
The headlight setup is likely to be positioned on its apron and not on its handlebar cowl. Falling into the Ntorq brand, design will probably be on the sporty side with a lot of aggression and muscle, attracting young buyers.
    What to expect?
Powertrain details are completely under the wraps and nothing has been leaked yet. One could speculate that it will displace between 150cc to 160cc and might churn out around 14 bhp to 15 bhp of peak power. Considering the market trends, TVS may go with liquid cooling and extract as much power as they can.
    Hero Xoom 160
Immediate rivals like Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160 both feature liquid cooled powertrain, while Aprilia continues with an air-cooled setup, but has a higher 175cc displacement. TVS Ntorq 150 Teased Ahead Of Sep 1st Unveil – New Design, Features?

TVS Ntorq 150 TeasedTVS Motor is credited with the creation of a sporty scooter segment in India within 125cc displacement category. The company did this with Ntorq 125 which held its crown in this sporty 125cc scooter segment for around 7 years. Now, TVS is upping the game with a new Ntorq 150 (name not confirmed), which has been teased for the first time ahead of official unveil.
    TVS Ntorq 150 Teased
Ntorq 125 was launched way back in 2018 and has ruled the sporty 125cc space for a long time. There has been multiple updates to this scooter in terms of facelifts with improved features list and other paraphernalia. TVS even infused some fun into the mix as it launched Super Squad Editions in collaboration with Marvel.
Now, TVS is upping the game in sporty scooter segment with the launch of a larger Ntorq, which is teased for the first time. In true TVS fashion, not a lot is known about this upcoming scooter, which will be unveiled on September 1st 2025. Word on the streets is that TVS will launch a 150cc Ntorq to rival Yamaha’s Aerox 155, Aprilia SR175 and soon to launch Hero Xoom 160.
Where design is concerned, soon to launch TVS Ntorq 150 is still under the wraps. Only headlight design is revealed in TVS’ latest teaser. Speaking of, there seems to be a quad-projector LED headlight setup on this scooter. Two, for low beam and two for high beam, we suppose.
New TVS Scooter Spied – Is this Ntorq 150?
    What to expect?
These headlights are likely to be fixed on front apron, rather than on its handlebar. Where components are concerned, Ntorq 150 could be based on 14-inch alloy wheels at both ends, first TVS scooter to do so. This has become a trend in the recent times as Aerox 155, SR 175, SR 125 and even Xoom 125 offer 14-inch wheels.
Larger wheels help in plusher and sorted ride dynamics along with a certain level of rough-road ability which smaller wheels cannot achieve. One can even hope for rear disc brake, which has become common in performance electric scooters. We can also expect the same 5-inch TFT instrument screen seen with Raider 125.

Rumour mill suggests TVS Ntorq 150 will pack around 150cc of displacement with performance metrics of around 12 bhp of peak power and 13 Nm of peak torque, mated to a CVT gearbox. Tag line for this upcoming scooter is ‘Feel The Thrill For Never Before’, suggesting a thrilling performance. Even the exhaust note in this teaser has a bassy tone to it. TVS will unveil it on September 1st and deliveries are likely to commence after some time.
