After the pandemic, inflation has emerged as a key contributor to rising prices. For business sustainability, manufacturers have little option other than to pass some of the increased input costs to end users.However, TVS has ensured that the latest price hike does not overburden consumers. Even with the revised prices, TVS scooters and motorcycles continue to be among the most affordable in their respective segments.TVS scooters prices May 2022TVS offers scooters in 90cc to 125cc range. Most affordable is TVS Scooty Pep Plus, which is powered by an 87.8cc motor. It generates 5.36 bhp of max power and 6.5 Nm of peak torque. Scooty Pep Plus range now starts at Rs 60,334. Scooty Pep Plus Pink and Matte variants are priced at Rs 61,334 and Rs 63,234, respectively.In 110cc segment, TVS offers Zest 110 and Jupiter 110.     TVS Apache Prices May 2022 Increased – RTR 160, RTR 180, RTR 200, RR310

    TVS currently retails 10 variants under the Apache range – RTR 160, RTR 160 4V, RTR 180, RTR 200 4V and RR 310TVS ApacheTVS Motor has hiked prices for the Apache range of motorcycles for May this year. This is the second price revision for the revered Apache series of sporty commuter bikes this year after prices were increased earlier in February this year. Price increases across all models are fairly nominal and range up to Rs 2,100.Apart from the flagship Apache RR 310, all models under the Pulsar brand have witnessed a uniform price hike of Rs 2,100 across all variants. The fully-faired sports bike has received a paltry price hike of Rs 90. It is available in a fully-loaded single trim which has now been priced at Rs 2,59,990 (ex-showroom).TVS Apache Prices May 2022The TVS Apache range starts with RTR 160 2V which is currently priced at Rs 1,11,740 for the drum brake variant and Rs 1,14,740 for the disc brake variant. Prices for the more powerful RTR 160 4V start at Rs 1,19,378 and top out at Rs 1,25,575.TVS also launched a superior Apache RTR 165 RP based on its race-spec model a few months back at a price of Rs 1.45 lakh. This limited edition model is currently off the shelves. Priced at 1.03 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Ntorq 125 XT is Rs 13,600 dearer than the next best Race XP Edition. For the additional premium over the Race XP variant, Ntorq 125 XT gets a new digital instrument console with a twin-screen layout. This instrument console is embedded with the latest version of SMARTXONNECT app.As far as sales go, TVS had recorded a total two-wheeler sales of 2,80,022 units for April this year.     TVS Motor Sales Apr 2022 – Apache, Jupiter, iQube, Raider

    TVS witnessed an overall MoM decline of 4.11 percent in April 2022 – YoY performance was in greenImage – Auto EraTVS has announced its total sales volume for the month of April 2022. Sales of the Hosur-based manufacturer grew by 23.57 percent YoY. Total volume for April this year stood at 2,95,308 as compared to 2,38,983 units. However, overall sales declined when compared to March this year when 3,07,954 units were dispatched.This resulted in an MoM decline of 4.11 percent. TVS recorded an overall two-wheeler sales of 2,80,022 units out of which 1,80,533 units were dispatched in domestic markets. The rest were exported to overseas markets. Out of the total two-wheeler sales, 1,39,027 units of motorcycles were dispatched last month.TVS Motor Sales Apr 2022The motorcycle segment grew by 4 percent from 133,227 units in April 2021. Scooter sales of the company grew by 57 percent from 65,213 units in April last year to 102,209 units in April last year. Shortage in supply of semiconductors has impacted production and sales of premium two-wheelers.On the other hand, domestic two-wheeler sales for April this year were recorded at 1,420 units as opposed to only 307 units in April last year. This led to a massive 362.54 percent YoY growth. TVS currently has only one battery-powered two-wheeler under its portfolio in the form of the iQube e-scooter. The company also sold 38,786 units of mopeds last month as opposed to 27,753 units during April last year which led to a 39.75 percent YoY growth.TVS Motor Sales April 2022 vs April 2021 (YoY)Domestic Sales & ExportsTotal domestic sales for April 2022 stood at 1,81,881 units as compared to 1,31,798 units recorded during the same month last year. This translates to YoY growth of 38 percent. On the other hand, TVS dispatched a total of 1,98,230 units in the domestic market in March this year which has resulted in an MoM decline of 8.25 percent.Total exports for TVS grew by 20 percent from 12,790 units in April last year to 15,286 units in April this year which has resulted in YoY growth of 5.82 percent. In March this year, the Hosur-based company shipped a total of 1,09,724 units to overseas markets which has led to a 3.37 percent MoM growth. Two-wheeler exports grew by 5%, from 94,807 units in April 2021 to 99,489 units in April 2022.TVS motorcycles on sale include the likes of Apache, Raider, Star City, Sport, etc. Scooter range includes Jupiter, Pep+, Ntorq, etc. Total three-wheeler exports stood at 13,939 units last month as opposed to 12,790 units dispatched in April last year.
