This ongoing partnership has yielded another remarkable addition to their portfolio. Our focus today centres on a motorcycle that traces its lineage back to the initial creation that marked the beginning of this partnership – the BMW G310R.With each passing year, this collaboration has evolved, producing an impressive array of motorcycles. BMW enthusiasts can explore the G310R, G310GS, and G310RR, while TVS enthusiasts have the RR 310 and RTR 310 at their disposal. Join us as we navigate this exciting new motorcycle. Does the Apache RTR 310 possess the qualities needed to distinguish itself from these formidable competitors? Let’s explore that question in detail.TVS Apache RTR 310 ReviewTVS Apache RTR 310 Design: Form Meets FunctionApache RTR 310 strikes a perfect balance between aesthetics and performance. Its sporty side and rear profile not only look great but also contribute to efficacy, and nimble handling. The unique cyborg-inspired design in the DRL, headlamp, and tail lamp isn’t just for style; it likely complements forward-biased mass distribution, enhancing overall handling and responsiveness.TVS Apache RTR 310 ReviewBeneath the surface, the lightweight aluminium subframe reduces weight, boosting agility. Lightweight 8-spoke dual-coloured alloy wheels further improve handling and acceleration. Engine features, like the optimised coolant jacket with 23 rows of radiator tubes, ensure efficient heat management, resulting in enhanced performance and durability. The hyper-spec trellis frame excels in dynamic response. Sporty steel tapered handlebars, ergonomic refinements, and adjustable hand levers prioritise rider comfort and control.TVS Apache RTR 310’s Tech Features – Command Centre, 5-inch TFT ClusterRider engagement is maximised with five distinct ride modes, adapting the bike’s behaviour to various road conditions. Whether you’re navigating the urban jungle, tackling rainy streets, chasing the thrill of sports mode, or unleashing the beast on the track or supermoto terrain. These modes optimise performance and safety for each scenario. The 5-inch TFT Cluster serves as a command centre, offering control over GoPro, music, voice assistance, and more. This integration keeps riders connected without compromising their attention on the road.TVS Apache RTR 310 ReviewTechnological aids like Race Tuned Linear Stability Control, Cornering ABS, Traction Control, and Cruise Control elevate the bike’s handling. And with it stability, responsiveness, and safety, regardless of the riding environment. Everything matters. Features like Climatic Control Seats are cool. Reverse Inclined DOHC Engine, and SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity are refined.TVS Apache RTR 310’s 312.2 cc Engine, QuickshifterTVS Apache RTR 310 packs a 312.2 cc reverse inclined DOHC engine to deliver peak power of 35.6 PS at 9,700 rpm and max torque of 28.7 Nm at 6,650 rpm. Its 6-speed transmission ensures versatile performance across different riding scenarios. TVS has declared it the fastest in its segment to get from 0 – 60 kmph in 2.81 seconds.TVS Apache RTR 310 ReviewThe bi-directional quickshifter (operating range – 2,300 rpm to redlining) facilitates smooth gear changes. RTR’s Race Tuned Slipper Clutch enhances control during aggressive downshifting. Throttle-by-wire system optimises throttle response. And its engine coolant jacket optimization maintains ideal operating temperatures. Glide Through Technology (GTT) streamlines city riding, and mass centralisation contributes to balanced handling. All this and more, work to harmonise a balanced ride experience.TVS Apache RTR 310 6-Axis IMU: The Brain Behind the RideRTR’s agility shines through whether navigating city traffic or tackling tight corners. However, the suspension felt slightly stiff on the smooth tarmac during the media ride in Bangkok. On the braking front, the bike delivers excellent bite, and the Dual ABS system performs its job effectively, ensuring reliable stopping power.TVS Apache RTR 310 ReviewMichelin Road 5 tyres deliver commendable grip, enhancing overall control. The traction control and cruise control systems perform effectively, contributing to a safe and smooth ride. Notably, TVS employs a sophisticated 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that continually feeds crucial data to the bike’s CPU, including speed, angle, acceleration, and braking. This endows the bike with remarkable intelligence, enabling it to anticipate potential situations well in advance. For instance, when engaged in cruise control at 80 kmph and approaching a curve, the IMU processes the data to calculate the direction and angle of the curve. Consequently, it adjusts speed, ensuring a safe and controlled passage through the curve.TVS Apache RTR 310 ReviewRiding the RTR 310: Navigating the Power and Vibration SpectrumTVS Apache RTR 310 showcases a noticeable improvement over its predecessor, the Apache RR310. This enhancement is primarily attributed to its lighter weight, about 5 kgs less, and a tuned engine that delivers approximately 1.5 bhp/1.4 Nm more power. The power delivery is notably smooth, enabling the bike to accelerate effortlessly into triple-digit speeds. However, it’s at these higher speeds where vibrations become apparent.Unfortunately, TVS hasn’t successfully mitigated the vibration issue that has persisted within the 310 family from the outset. In fact, the new RTR 310 appears to exhibit more vibrations compared to the Apache RR 310. Despite this, the RTR 310’s improved power and peppy performance make it an enticing option.TVS Apache RTR 310 ReviewTriumph, Harley Davidson, and KTM in the Ring: TVS Apache RTR 310 ChallengersDemand for motorcycles in the 300-450cc segment is steadily increasing. Several new motorcycles have recently hit the market or are set to be launched in this segment. Royal Enfield, for instance, has refreshed its 350cc lineup and introduced the new Hunter 350 model. Additionally, they have plans to unveil the Himalayan 450 later this year. Triumph has entered this segment with the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400. Harley Davidson is here with the X440, and KTM has launched the new Duke 390. Most of these motorcycles will compete directly with the TVS Apache RTR 310.TVS Apache RTR 310 Review Verdict – TVS Apache RTR 310 – A Worthy Addition to the 310 LineupTVS Apache RTR 310 sets itself apart from the rest of the 310 family, avoiding the feeling of being a mere rebadge exercise. It offers a distinct riding experience and is feature rich. Within the city, it’s an absolute joy to ride, but it’s touring capabilities leave room for improvement. With prices ranging from Rs 2.42 lakh to over Rs 3 lakh for the fully loaded variant, the new TVS Apache RTR 310 represents a compelling option for those seeking a motorcycle in the 300cc-400cc segment. TVS Apache RTR 310 Vs Rivals – 390 Duke, G310R, Speed 400, X440

TVS Apache RTR 310Even with all the new entrants in this segment, KTM 390 Duke still remains the most powerful machine and the next-gen model will pack more punchThe single-cylinder naked performance motorcycle segment is on the boil with back-to-back launches from legacy motorcycle brands. TVS has just entered the chat with Apache RTR 310. As per pricing, TVS has pulled quite a feat. The launch price start from Rs. 2.43 lakh and go till Rs. 2.64 lakh. BTO (Built To Order) options are on offer too and cost Rs. 18K for Dynamic and Rs. 22K for Dynamic Pro kit.TVS Apache RTR 310 Vs Rivals – Which one to buy?Despite being platform partners, there is a plethora of kit that TVS has over BMW. Along with a more aggressive engine tune than G 310 R. Other logical rivals include newly launched Triumph Speed 400 and KTM 390 Duke. Because of pricing, we have included Harley-Davidson X440 as well. Both KTM and TVS aim for sportiness and aggression, appealing to younger audience. BMW has a slightly less sober, yet sporty appearance. Harley-Davidson X440 and Triumph Speed 400 aim for timeless classic appeal and blend modern and retro elements. Where raw power figures are concerned, there is still no beating KTM 390 Duke at 43 bhp.The new 390 Duke with a 399cc engine will amplify that aspect even further. Harley-Davidson X440 has the most torque at 38 Nm. Triumph Speed 400 is pretty much up there with 40 bhp and 37 Nm. TVS-BMW’s 310 platform is short on performance numbers on paper. Apache RTR 310 has 1.1 bhp power and 0.8 Nm torque more than G 310 R.mg-astor-blackstorm-launched – 1Except for X440, every motorcycle gets liquid cooling, a 6-speed gearbox, a 4V head and a DOHC setup. TVS is known to stuff their vehicles with features and Apache RTR 310 is no exception. In the table above, you can see the features Apache has over others.Apache RTR 310 has the fattest brochure of the bunch390 Duke has some special attributes too, but nothing that Apache doesn’t pack. Also, 390 Duke has a few ABS traction modes like SuperMoto. However, TVS packs 5 riding modes and BMW G 310 R has 4 riding modes. Dimension-wise touring-friendly X440 has the biggest wheelbase and corner carver 390 Duke and RTR 310 has the smallest.RTR 310 has 180mm ground clearance, which is the highest in this list. All motorcycles in this list have disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS. USD telescopic front forks are common too. Harley-Davidson has twin shock absorbers, while others sport a mono-shock rear suspension setup.TVS Apache RTR 310 cooled and heated seatsNo motorcycle on this list is skimping on an all-LED lighting setup in the name of retro appeal. That said, Triumph Speed 400 is the only one with a semi-digital instrument cluster. And it lacks Bluetooth connectivity too. Because Speed 400 is the most affordable of the bunch at Rs. 2.33 lakh (ex-sh), and packs quite a punch, we can easily forgive it.Despite G 310 R having a fully digital instrument screen, there is no connectivity suite on offer. Maybe BMW should have bundled TVS’ proprietary SmartXonnect connectivity suite. But that’s not the case and at Rs. 2.85 lakh (ex-sh), starts to make less sense than other rivals. Despite its retro appeal, Harley-Davidson X440 packs a Bluetooth connectivity suite.Which bike to buy?KTM has been offering Bluetooth connectivity since 2nd gen Duke. TVS’ implementation seems the most extensive and more user-friendly as well. Harley X440 packs the skinniest tyres, but it has 18” front wheel, which allows for an upright stance and the twin shock absorbers better support weight of added luggage. For riders seeking least number of gizmos and a pure motorcycling experience, Triumph seems to be the bike to go for. It is the most affordable and boasts less service intervals too. For riders who want an experience most of the features and motorcycle-related tech for future big bike upgrades, TVS seems to be a tempting buy.Especially with the BTO kits which unlock adjustable suspension and novelty features like cooled and heated seats. New-gen KTM 390 Duke is unveiled with India launch in the pipeline. As per BMW G 310 R, Apache RTR seems to have everything it has and loads more, while costing significantly less. More

TVS Apache RTR 310 Launched From Rs. 2.42 lakh

TVS Apache RTR 310 LaunchedThe 312.2cc on the new TVS Apache RTR 310 is the same one as Apache RR 310 and develops 34 PS of max power and 27.3 Nm of max torqueThe strategic partnership between TVS Motor and BMW Motorrad has spawned its 5th product. Say Namaste to TVS Apache RTR 310, which is TVS’ second motorcycle based on 310 platform. This is the flagship of naked Apache lineup and is a complete departure from much tamer than its BMW counterpart, G 310 R.TVS Apache RTR 310 Street NakedAs per pricing, TVS has pulled an absolute trump card. Apache RTR 310 is launched in 3 standard SKUs and 3 BTO options. Pricing starts from Rs. 2,42,990 for Arsenal Black (without quickshifter), Rs. 2,57,990 for Arsenal Black (with quickshifter) and Rs. 2,63,990 for Fury Yellow (all prices ex-sh).The BTO Dynamic Kit and Dynamic Pro Kit cost Rs. 18,000 and Rs. 22,000 respectively on top. The Sepang Blue colour costs Rs. 10,000 on its own. The pricing is a steal considering its BMW counterpart costs Rs. 2.85 lakh and Honda CBR300R costs Rs. 2.77 lakh and KTM 390 Duke costs Rs. 2.97 lakh (all prices ex-sh). That said, Triumph Speed 400 does pose a serious threat.Where design is concerned, TVS has outdone itself and has carved out quite a handsome machine. The front fascia is completely radical and leagues apart from what TVS has been doing till now. We saw a similar radical design departure with TVS X electric scooter as well. This new design language is likely to do wonders for the brand.TVS Apache RTR 310 pricingMost feature-packed in the segment!Fuel tank is now sharp and lends a sporty appeal. We like the way these tank shrouds extend to flex the bike’s muscles. Fat USD forks at the front add to that effect dramatically. Speaking of dramatic, TVS Apache RTR 310 features a twin LED headlight setup. Twin LED DRLs look aggressive and a mean character, which is what TVS seems to be going for. These headlights remind me of Kawasaki Z1000.Design is in-keeping with TVS’ ‘Restless To Race’ and ‘Restless To Play’ ethos and so are its ergonomics. There are sporty clip-on handlebars allowing riders to fully engage with their Apache. Combine that with precise footpeg positioning, TVS has struck a fine balance between spirited rides and everyday comfort.New subframe has sporty body panels accentuating Apache RTR 310’s all-around aggression. Rear gets LED tail lights in rear subframe and turn indicators in its tyre hugger. The split seats seem to have decent padding and cushion for added comfort. Seat heating and cooling multiply the comfort factor exponentially.TVS Apache RTR 310 muscular designSame engine as before – Slightly up-tunedThe 312.2cc single-cylinder engine with 4V head and liquid cooling remains as is, but slightly up-tuned. It makes 35.6 PS of maximum power at 9,700 RPM and 28.7 Nm of maximum torque at 6,650 RPM. There are four riding modes as well – Urban, Rain, Sport and Track. There is a slipper-clutch and ride-by-wire too, for granular throttle modulation. The exhaust system is identical to outgoing model too. There is a new instrument cluster that now sports a squarish display, as opposed to a vertical smartphone-like unit on outgoing model. This new 5″ TFT screen gets all the SmartXonnect suite of connected features from the brand. This screen supports music connectivity and even GoPro connectivity.TVS Apache RTR 310 5″ Senpang BlueThe global launch of the all-new TVS Apache RTR 310 marks a momentousoccasion for us, as this motorcycle encapsulates Apache’s 18-year legacy of innovation and performance. TVS Apache lineup boasts a diverse range of bikes catering to various riding preferences, with the RR310 as its flagship model, developed in collaboration with BMW. Soon, riders will have even more options to choose from, as TVS gears up for the launch of the highly anticipated Apache 310 Street or the Apache RTR 310.TVS Apache 310 Street FeaturesEnthusiasts are likely to recognize the similarities between the upcoming Apache 310 Street and the BMW G310R, which is part of the BMW-TVS partnership that has seen success in over 100 countries. While some features and components are expected to be shared with the BMW G310R and the Apache RR310, the Apache 310 Street is set to establish its distinctive profile through changes in the front fascia, alloy wheels, exhaust system, and a vibrant array of colours.Recent test mule sightings and teaser releases have confirmed that the Apache 310 Street will come equipped with USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike will feature a split-seat design reminiscent of the RR310, a redesigned tail lamp unit, and a unique tyre hugger that also holds the number plate and turn indicators. One of the standout features of the Apache 310 Street is its new square-shaped TFT display, a departure from the vertically oriented rectangular unit found on the RR310. This change hints at the possibility of additional functions being introduced, building upon TVS’s SmartXonnect connectivity suite, which includes navigation assistance, ride analytics, ride planning, and access to calls and SMS.New TVS Apache 310 StreetTVS Apache 310 Street PerformanceUnder the hood, the TVS Apache 310 Street will be powered by the same 312.2cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine found in the RR310. Riders can expect the same array of ride modes – Sport, Track, Urban, and Rain – as those available on the RR310. In Sport and Track modes, the engine delivers an impressive 34 PS of maximum power and 27.3 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, in Urban and Rain modes, these figures drop slightly to 25.8 PS and 25 Nm.What sets the Apache 310 Street apart in terms of performance is its expected 10 kg reduction in weight compared to the RR310, which has a kerb weight of 174 kg. This decrease in weight is anticipated to result in a more exhilarating riding experience, with an improved power-to-weight ratio and potentially higher fuel efficiency. The bike’s riding stance is set to be more comfortable compared to its faired sibling, offering a shorter turning radius and enhanced agility and maneuverability. In practical terms, the Apache 310 Street is poised to be a more versatile and budget-friendly option within its class. TVS is expected to adopt an aggressive pricing strategy, making it one of the most affordable motorcycles in its segment. Bookings for the Apache 310 Street are already open, with the official launch scheduled for tomorrow, September 6, 2023. More

Just like an Apache helicopter. The popular RTR street naked motorcycle range will soon see a new flagship in the form of Apache RTR 310 (name not confirmed). TVS MD Sudarshan Venu puts the engineering samples to their paces ahead of launch.TVS Apache RTR 310 – King of the streets? The company recently launched TVS X, a premium electric scooter. It is the first of its kind and sits on top of current crop of electric scooters in India. After launching TVS X, the Indian homegrown automotive company has shifted their gaze towards fortifying their premium motorcycle territory. This is TVS’ version of BMW G 310 R. This 310 platform was jointly developed by TVS and BMW. The latter has spawned three different motorcycles based on this platform and this will be TVS’ second product on this platform after Apache RR 310. In the teaser, we can see TVS MD Sudarshan Venu sitting on the motorcycle and expressing his enthusiasm. As opposed to previous set of spy shots, this test mule teased by TVS, has very minimal camouflage. Also, this camouflage has velcro in it to take it off with less fuss. It dons a white number plate with temporary registration from Bengaluru RTO. All of these could mean that this test mule is on the verge of a TVC shoot.New TVS Apache 310 Street teaserWhat to expect? We can see a handsome motorcycle with neat proportions. One of the other possibilities is that TVS could be planning to start manufacturing this new BMW electric scooter at their plant.BMW CE02 Electric Scooter Spied In IndiaBMW CE 02 Styling and FeaturesThe BMW CE 02 is not your typical scooter. While it may not be conventionally beautiful, it commands attention with its youthful exuberance and rebellious spirit. One of the standout features of the CE 02 is the level of personalization it offers. Users have a wide range of customization options and accessories to choose from, allowing them to tailor the scooter to their unique tastes.[embedded content]But it’s not just about looks. BMW has ensured that riders can stay connected while cruising on their CE 02 electric scooter. The 3.5-inch micro TFT screen mounted on a single bracket creates a floating effect, displaying a range of information. To take connectivity to the next level, users can pair their smartphones with the BMW Motorrad Connected app and BMW Backend Connectivity, opening up a world of features accessible via dedicated switches on the left handle. The CE 02 also boasts a list of premium features, including LED headlights, USD front forks, a single-piece flat seat, a raised handlebar, and sporty rear-view mirrors. The riding stance appears to be fairly comfortable, although mastering the eccentric nature of this electric machine might take some time.Underneath its unique exterior, the CE 02 utilizes a double-loop steel frame with an adjustable rear shock absorber. It rolls on 14-inch wheels at both ends, ensuring a tall and confident street presence. Safety is a priority with disc brakes and ABS on the front wheel, while a single-sided swingarm and belt-drive power the rear wheel.BMW CE 02 RangeThe CE 02 offers flexibility in battery options to cater to different travel needs. Users can choose between a single or dual battery pack. Each lithium-ion battery pack has a capacity of 2 kWh. The single-battery version of the CE 02 weighs in at 119 kg and provides a range of 45 km with a top speed limited to 45 kmph. Notably, in many European countries, the single-battery version doesn’t require a license, making it an accessible and practical choice for urban commuting. However, in India, no-license electric scooters need to have their top speed limited to 25 kmph, which is worth considering for potential buyers. On the other hand, the dual-battery pack version weighs slightly more at 132 kg but offers a significantly extended range of 90 km. It generates 15 hp and can reach a top speed of 95 kmph. Charging options are versatile, with a standard 0.9 kW charger available. For those in a hurry, there’s a 1.5 kW fast charger. Charging time for the dual-battery pack version is approximately 5 hours 12 minutes with the standard charger and 3 hours 30 minutes with the fast charger. The single-battery version can be charged in approximately 3 hours 2 minutes with the standard charger. More
