New Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle Spied – Riding Posture Revealed

Triumph has been eyeing the entry-level segment for a long time and with Bajaj, a new product is expected soonNew Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle SpiedBajaj has always wanted to increase their share in 200 cc to 500 cc segment. Under Bajaj, we only get the Dominar 400. They do have offerings via KTM in this segment. But despite that, this segment is still dominated by Royal Enfield with its slew of 350 cc bikes like Bullet, Classic and Meteor and also, Himalayan and Scram 411.When Dominar was launched, Bajaj took a dig at Royal Enfield saying not to buy “Haathis” (elephants) as most Enfields wouldn’t properly go and if they did, wouldn’t properly stop and also weighed a lot with no gizmos. But in reality, Indians still bought Haathis. I don’t blame them. If the Haathi looked as elegant and charming as Royal Enfield bikes, why not?Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle SpiedTo add salt to the wound, Hunter 350 is launched at a lower price point too. At the same time, Triumph seems to be following the same route BMW Motorrad took to foray into entry-level bikes along with TVS. So, British brand Triumph has partnered up with Bajaj to co-develop a platform that would benefit both companies. A match made in Heaven? Maybe.Last time we covered the Bajaj Triumph bike, it was papped fully undisguised. The new spy shots reveal mostly the same, but give more details too. For starters, this upcoming motorcycle will be offered in two versions, a street and a scrambler. Both get separate design elements to suit the genre. The video below shows riding posture on the upcoming Bajaj Triumph motorcycle, while it was spied near Pune.Upcoming Bajaj Triumph Scrambler Motorcycle – RenderBoth test mules look production ready and we can expect a launch very soon. They shoot for the timeless retro classic look and we should say, looks quite handsome. Their design is reminiscent of Triumph’s Bonneville lineup. They get a single-piece seat, neat grab rail at the rear, round headlights and indicators, bar-end mirrors and a lot more.In terms of cycle parts, they get USD front forks and mono-shock at back, 19” and 17” alloy wheels at the front and back, single discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS, slightly rear-set footpegs and more. They both get LED lighting all-around, a circular speedo and a squarish digital display beside it housed in the same console. What To Expect? We don’t know the exact engine specs at the moment. But looking at the engine on test mules, looks like a single-cylinder unit with liquid cooling and a single exhaust setup. Looking at the size of it, it is likely to be a 300 to 400cc unit. And might make around 35 bhp and 30 Nm of torque. It may get a 6-speed gearbox too.New Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle SpiedLooking at their lean and athletic frame, they are likely to weigh around 170 to 180 kg. Both bikes will be manufactured here in India to get the production costs down. These motorcycles will be sold under Triumph branding. Bajaj might launch a different version of their own branding in the future. This probably will be a similar story, what we have seen with Bajaj-KTM. First KTM branded motorcycles were launched, and based on them, Bajaj launched their own Pulsar motorcycles. When launched, Bajaj Triumph motorcycle will compete against Royal Enfield, Honda, Yezdi, Jawa, TVS, BMW offerings falling into the same ring. Launch will take place in 2023.Source More

Bajaj Triumph 350cc Spied In India For First Time – Royal Enfield Rival

Triumph’s new range of single-cylinder motorcycles are likely to get 250cc and 350-450cc capacity enginesBajaj Triumph 350cc Motorcycle Spied In IndiaOnce a taboo for premium motorcycle brands, the quarter litre and 350-450cc mid-size segment is now too big to be ignored. Earlier, BMW Motorrad had entered this space with launch of their 300cc motorcycles. Triumph will be next, as their new street roadster has been spotted in production-ready form. A scrambler based on the same platform will also be launched simultaneously. While exact capacity of Triumph’s entry-level Bonneville motorcycles is not known, the company had earlier stated that it will be in the range of 250cc to 650cc. These new bikes have been developed by Triumph’s UK R&D division, whereas production will be handled by Bajaj. Launch is expected soon. It has now been spied in India for the first time, near Bajaj plant in Pune. It is the scrambler variant that has been spied now.Bajaj Triumph 350cc Spied In IndiaThe classic version will rival the likes of Royal Enfield Meteor, while the Scrambler will take on the likes of Hunter and Yezdi. Retro theme is clearly evident with features such as round headlamps and rear view mirrors.Other key features include USD front forks, chiselled fuel tank design with chrome filler cap, all-LED lights, twin-piece seat with quilted pattern stitching and upswept exhaust. Fine detailing can be seen on exposed engine parts, which enhances the bike’s overall look and feel.Bajaj Triumph 350cc Motorcycle Spied In IndiaTriumph’s new entry-level roadster utilizes a tubular frame with a cast swingarm. It has 17-inch wheels at both ends, shod with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres. Aesthetically, the bike appears to offer a judicious mix of classic and modern features. While some features appear to be inspired by Bonneville range, others look familiar to Trident 660.Bajaj Triumph 350cc Motorcycle Spied In IndiaWith its new entry-level bikes, Triumph can target multiple markets globally. Apart from its home market UK, significant opportunities exist in countries like Indonesia and Philippines. Triumph will be looking to make its single-cylinder bikes accessible to a much larger customer base, something that hasn’t been possible with the company’s current range of motorcycles. When launched, Triumph’s 350-450cc bikes will take on the likes of BMW 310cc range and KTM 390 models. Even when manufactured by Bajaj, these bikes won’t be as affordable as Royal Enfield bikes in international markets.Bajaj Triumph 350cc Motorcycle Spied In IndiaTriumph 350-450cc motorcycles could be launched at around £5000-£5500 price range, which is approximately Rs 4.80 lakh to Rs 5.28 lakh. Smallest capacity and most low cost Triumphs they surely will be, but not necessarily the most affordable in segment.Triumph sub-500cc scramblerTriumph is also working on a scrambler version based on the same platform. Now spied in India, Triumph’s new entry-level scrambler is equipped with larger alloy wheels, handguards, shotgun-styled upswept exhaust, split seats and dual-purpose adventure tread tyres. Rest of the bike’s profile is largely the same as that of street roadster.Bajaj Triumph 350cc Motorcycle Spied In IndiaIn India, Triumph’s new sub-500cc motorcycles could be launched at a starting price of around Rs 2 lakh. Pricing has to be competitive if Bajaj-Triumph are looking to play the numbers game with formidable rivals like Royal Enfield. Bajaj has also purchased rights to Vincent Motorcycles, a British motorcycle brand.Source More

2023 Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle New Spy Shots – Royal Enfield Rival

Bajaj has been trying to target the middleweight segment for quite some time now, but is yet to make any significant gains2023 Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle – New Spy Shots by MCNWhile Bajaj had launched Dominar with great expectations, it didn’t create any major challenges for segment-leader Royal Enfield. The Chennai-based manufacturer continues to command a market share of more than 85% in the 350cc-500cc single cylinder motorcycle segment. The market share is likely to increase further, with the launch of new Royal Enfield Hunter 350. However, Bajaj seems far from giving up and will be making another attempt soon. It will come via the company’s collaboration with UK-based Triumph Motorcycles.Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle spiedAs evident in the images, the new Bajaj-Triumph bike looks production ready. It seems to derive design inspiration from Triumph Bonneville range of motorcycles. Retro theme is evident with features such as round headlamps and rear-view mirrors.Other key highlights include a compact design, sculpted fuel tank, single-piece seat, all-skeletal design, upswept exhaust and alloy wheels. Suspension system comprises USD forks at front and a monoshock unit at rear with pre-load adjustability. In comparison, Bonneville bikes such as Street Scrambler, Street Twin and Speed Twin are equipped with dual rear shock absorbers. Use of a monoshock unit at rear makes the bike better suited for tackling off-road terrains.2023 Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle – New Spy ShotsOff-roading capabilities are further enhanced with features such as dual-purpose Metzeler tyres. The bike has 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. It also gets a rugged bash plate. Braking duties are performed by disc brakes at both ends. There’s a dedicated luggage rack at the rear and on the left side as well. Tank mounted bags could also be made available as an accessory.Other details include a rectangular digital instrument console, which looks similar to the one used on KTM bikes. This may not necessarily be the unit that will be used for the production variant. As the bike has a retro profile, a rounded instrument console will be a better match. Two versions are expected to be on offer, one a classic retro and the other adventure scrambler. The latter gets knobby tyres, scrambler style exhaust, knuckle guards, raised front fender, etc.Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle engineBased on the structure and size of the engine, it appears to be a 350cc to 500cc unit. Single exhaust vent indicates that the engine will be a single-cylinder unit. The engine utilizes liquid cooling and comes with vertically mounted radiator.2023 Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle – New Spy ShotsBajaj-Triumph motorcycle will be sold globally. It will allow Triumph to play the volumes game on a larger scale. As the bike will be manufactured in India, there will be significant reduction in production cost. Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle is expected to be launched at a competitive price point, somewhere around Rs 2 lakh. This is necessary since rivals like Royal Enfield motorcycles are among the most affordable in the country.Launch was earlier planned for 2022, but things have been delayed due to the pandemic. Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle could be unveiled around Diwali this year and launched in early 2023. Although Royal Enfield’s dominance seems unshakable, the company will still be following these developments closely.Source More

Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle Launch In 2023 – Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Rival

Both motorcycles developed under the Bajaj-Triumph joint venture share the same underpinnings and powertrain but different clothingNew Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle Will Rival Royal Enfield. Image above is a render. The partnership between Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles is one of the most talked-about associations in the Indian auto industry in recent times. The joint venture will result in production of premium mid-displacement motorcycles which will be retailed under the iconic British brand in India as well as overseas markets. The association between the two auto giants has led to the development of at least two bikes with the same underpinnings and engine but slightly different body styles. Both these motorcycles have recently been caught on camera for the first time. One is a neo-retro roadster while the other is a scrambler. The former will take on the likes of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 while the latter will take on the likes of Yezdi Scrambler and upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350.Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler: EngineThe roadster has already been discussed at a length previously. The scrambler is a different take on the motorcycle with the same engine. As mentioned earlier, both bikes will be powered by the same motor. Although exact configurations aren’t known yet, we expect this mill to be a single-cylinder unit with a sub-500cc displacement. The engine has supposedly been developed by Triumph since it wears a similar look. The motor is nestled in a triangular-shaped casing which is reminiscent of the bigger Bonnevilles. The motor gets cooling fins but those are only meant for aesthetic purposes as it features a large radiator which means it will be a liquid-cooled unit. In all likelihood, the engine will use a 4-valve, DOHC layout like the KTM models developed by Bajaj.New Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle Will Rival Royal EnfieldLike its roadster sibling, the upcoming Triumph scrambler borrows visual cues from the neo-retro range of motorcycles from the British brand. The most evident styling inspiration is Triumph’s existing Street Scrambler with signature highlights such as a round headlight, an engine underbelly crash guard, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with rubber pads on the sides and split-style seats. Both the roadster and scrambler get a single exhaust tailpipe with a dual-barrel canister although their design appears slightly different from each other. The latter’s scrambler appeal is highlighted with the presence of a tall-set beak-like front fender, knuckle guards, a short flyscreen and a luggage rack at rear, some of which will be available as accessories.Features & HardwareAs far as equipment is concerned, this test mule flaunted a rectangular digital TFT instrument console similar to the ones used in the 390 range of KTM. However, the production-spec model could use something more retro like a circular semi-digital cluster to suit the bike’s character. The bike is also expected to pack full LED illumination and multiple riding modes.Upcoming Bajaj Triumph Scrambler MotorcycleComing to its hardware, both the scrambler and its roadster singling appear to be based on a tubular chassis with bolt-on rear subframes. The chassis will be suspended on upside-down forks at front and a mono-shock at rear, although the suspension setup of the scrambler is likely to offer more travel. Braking duties will be carried out by a 4-piston radially mounted caliper with a single disc at front and rear each.Unlike the roadster with a 17-inch front wheel, the scrambler runs on a larger 19-inch front alloy wheel. The rear wheel on both bikes remain 17-inch units, however, the alloy wheels on scrambler are shod with semi-knobby road-biased tyres from Metzeler. The spy images suggest that the scrambler will also have a higher saddle. Launch of the Bajaj Triumph motorcycle is confirmed for 2023. Prices are expected to be in the Rs 2 lakh range. More

Upcoming Bajaj Triumph Scrambler Render – Royal Enfield 350cc Rival

The single-cylinder Bajaj Triumph Scrambler will be pitted head on against Royal Enfield’s new family of 350 cc motorcyclesUpcoming Bajaj Triumph Scrambler MotorcycleAfter announcing a partnership to develop medium displacement premium motorcycles, Bajaj and Triumph have been working under the radar with hardly any updates surfacing in the recent times barring a recent spotting of a prototype abroad. Given the timeline of the partnership announcement, we reckon that the first product should be pretty close to being ready for its world premiere.Bajaj Triumph Scrambler RenderingThe modular medium displacement platform to be born out of this Indo-English alliance could adopt multiple body styles. We think a retro-classic scrambler and a low-riding cruiser are two of the top possibilities. Our design specialist Pratyush Rout has envisioned the former, taking cues from Triumph’s iconic Bonneville family.Earlier this year, a prototype of what is reported to be the Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler was spotted testing along with a sobered up roadster variant. The test mules appeared to donning unfinished body components but the design direction was apparent. The Scrambler variant was equipped with 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear unit, serrated foot pegs and hand guards. While it is obvious that the new Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler and its derivatives will be equipped with a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, the displacement is still kept under wraps. Given that the partnership is going after Royal Enfield’s immensely popular family of 350cc motorcycles, we expect the displacement to be in the same ballpark albeit with considerably more power and torque.Upcoming Bajaj Triumph Scrambler MotorcycleMarket PositioningIf the Trident and Tiger 660 is anything to go by, Triumph is likely to position the upcoming single-cylinder offering in the premium end of the medium-displacement segment with no skimping on equipment. The prototypes supported this claim by sporting USD front forks, front and rear disc brakes with ABS, TFT instrument cluster, LED headlight and so on.At the time of initial announcement, Bajaj-Triumph revealed that the new range of jointly developed products will have a staring price of under Rs 2 lakhs. With pandemic induced supply chain challenges, it would be a difficult task to stick to this pricing commitment but if at all any OEM can pull off such an attractive pricing, it is Bajaj.Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle LaunchIt is no secret that with its upcoming family of medium displacement single-cylinder premium motorcycles, Bajaj and Triumph aim to put an end to Royal Enfield’s near-monopoly in the segment. Its been over 50 years since Triumph last made a single-cylinder motorcycle but given this segment is growing at a brisk pace globally, it can’t afford not to participate. Bajaj’s experience in manufacturing premium single-cylinder KTMs for global market and a competitive cost structure makes it a sound business model.Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle Spied. Image – MotobobThe first set of Bajaj-Triumph motorcycles are expected to be ready towards the end of this year. They will be made in India for global consumption. We hope to see more info and spy shots trickling online in the coming months. Launch is likely to take place in 2023. More

Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle SpiedTriumph and Bajaj have joined hands to manufacture entry level motorcycles in the 250cc to 500cc segment – rival Royal EnfieldIt was back in Jan 2022, that the official announcement was made. India’s Bajaj Auto and UK’s Triumph motorcycles had joined hands to manufacture motorcycles in the price range of Rs 2 lakh. Launch was expected in 2022, but due to Covid-19, it has now been delayed to 2023.Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle SpiedFirst spy shots of the upcoming Bajaj Triumph motorcycle have arrived. From the looks of it, the motorcycle looks like a rival to Royal Enfield Meteor 350, which is also priced in the Rs 2 lakh range. Debut is expected later this year, around Diwali 2022. Launch in 2023.Royal Enfield dominates the 350cc-500cc single cylinder motorcycle segment with over 85% market share. It is this segment that has been eyed by Bajaj for years now. They launched the Dominar brand to tackle RE, but failed. With Triumph, they are getting to take on Royal Enfield once again.Speaking about the upcoming Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle, it will be branded as a Triumph, and not a Bajaj. It will be sold in India, as well as global markets as a Triumph. Bajaj will be manufacturing the motorcycle at their plant near Pune.[embedded content][embedded content]Make In India BenefitsThe Bajaj-Triumph joint venture has been one of the most talked about partnerships in the Indian automotive market in recent times. The project has seen its fair share of delays which further got extended due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. But with businesses resuming full throttle, the JV is now looking forward to developing its first project for India.Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle Spied – LED headlights, USD forks at front, alloys, disc brakes, dual ABS, monoshock at rearThe main objective of the iconic British bike maker through this tie-up is to build more accessible ‘Triumph’ branded motorcycles in India. To achieve this, Triumph needed high levels of localisation to bring down the cost and hence required an Indian partner to carry out research, development and manufacturing of these bikes.New 250cc-750cc Triumph prototypes readyBajaj and Triumph have been working on the project since 2020. As per original plan, the first of new 250cc-750cc Triumph motorcycles were to be unveiled by 2022. However, the plans have been delayed due to the pandemic. Though a specific timeline for launch has not been provided, details about the bikes could be made available soon. The new Triumph bikes manufactured by Bajaj will be sold globally. It will not be limited to Asian markets that are known for their preference for affordable, small capacity bikes. There are multiple reasons why Triumph chose Bajaj for manufacturing its new 250cc-750cc range. A key factor is that Bajaj has a strong presence in both domestic and international markets. Plus, it has experience working with global brands like KTM, Husqvarna and Kawasaki.According to Perkins, the two companies have matching family-oriented leadership values and principles. Both teams are passionate about what they do and have displayed a high level of focus and commitment.Source More
