    Resurrecting old brands is a challenging task that comes with significant risks. Mahindra-owned Classic Legends knows that better, as it had to deal with a number of teething troubles initially. Now that Jawa bikes have gained popularity and deliveries have been streamlined, the company is looking to further expand its portfolio. Part of that plan is reviving the Yezdi nameplate, which was quite popular during the 70s to 90s.
    Two Yezdi motorcycle are expected to be launched soon, Roadking and an ADV based on the same platform. These have been spotted multiple times on road tests. It is possible that launch could be scheduled for November 15, which marks the fourth anniversary of Classic Legends.
    Yezdi Roadking Adventure styling and features
    Spotted undisguised recently, Yezdi Roadking ADV could be seen in white colour. Fuel tank has bands in contrasting blue and black shade, which enhance the bike’s sporty profile. Wing-styled Yezdi logo, glossy steel fuel cap and ‘Legendary Yezdi’ engraving on the fuel tank add another layer of uniqueness to the bike.
    It is likely that several more colour options will be available for Roadking ADV. For the white variant, the engine and wheels carry their original metallic finish. Most other components have been blacked out.
    Yezdi Roadking Adventure spied next to Mahindra Mojo
    Similar to features available with Himalayan, Yezdi Roadking ADV has dedicated racks at front and rear. Other key features include round headlamp, turn signals and tail light, large windscreen, fork gaiters, dual front fenders, crash guard for engine and radiator, split seats, spoke wheels and upswept exhaust.
    Users can expect comfortable rides, as the bike has wide, raised handlebar and centrally positioned footpegs. The full-digital instrument console is packed in shockproof casing, an essential feature for extreme off-roading.
    Yezdi Roadking ADV engine and specs
    Powering Roadking ADV could be the 334cc engine currently used with Jawa Perak. The single-cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC motor churns out 30.64 ps of max power and 32.74 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a constant mesh 6-speed gearbox. In comparison, Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by a 411cc, air cooled, single cylinder, SOHC motor. It makes 24.3 ps / 32 Nm.
    Yezdi Roadking Adventure
    Yezdi Roadking Adventure will have standard telescopic forks at front and swingarm rear suspension. Wheels could be 19-inch and 17-inch units at front and rear, respectively. Both ends will have disc brakes and single-channel ABS could be offered as standard. Roadking ADV will be competitively priced to improve its chances against Himalayan. It could be offered in the price range of Rs 1.75 lakh to Rs 2.10 lakh.
    It’s good to see that Himalayan will finally have some company. The Yezdi nameplate has significant brand value and can emerge as a viable option against select Royal Enfield motorcycles. While Jawa alone hasn’t caused any major trouble for Royal Enfield, things could change with launch of Yezdi motorcycles. More

    Bajaj Pulsar 250cc Launch Price Rs 1.38 L – Full Details, Specs Revealed

    A lot has changed since the time Pulsar twins (150 and 180) were launched in November 2001. Pulsar bikes have played a key role in helping the company establish itself as a popular motorcycle brand. Pulsar range has been expanded over the years to include several new products. It currently starts with the entry level Pulsar 125 and extends to the most powerful Pulsar 220F. Range topping naked and fully faired models are NS200 and RS200.
    Twenty years later, Bajaj has launched the biggest Pulsar ever made. It is the N250 and F250. Both these motorcycles are completely new, built from the ground up on a new chassis, powered by a new engine and comes with new tech and features. Price starts from Rs 1.38 lakh for the N250 and Rs 1.4 lakh for the F250. All prices are Ex-sh. 2 vibrant exciting colours – Techno Grey and Racing Red are on offer.

    New Pulsar 250 bikes will have a muscular profile and dominating street presence. The overall look and feel is more refined in comparison to other Pulsar motorcycles. Some of the key features include aggressive headlamp, spear turn signals, large windscreen, and wide clip-on handlebar.
    One of the key differences between naked and semi-faired versions of Pulsar 250 is in their fairing. Pulsar 250F has a more prominent front fascia with the fairing extended all the way to the tank shrouds. The bike’s styling is further enhanced with sporty rear-view mirrors installed on the front apron. The naked model has the same units, but they are mounted on the handlebar.

    There are some differences in ergonomics as well. For example, the naked variant has low-set handlebar, as compared to the slightly raised unit on 250F. Placement of the foot pegs appears to be the same on both bikes. While a comfortable, upright stance will be available, Pulsar 250 can accommodate a more committed riding posture as well.

    Apart from these changes, both models will be largely the same. Some features that are likely to be common across both bikes include the fenders, crash guard, engine cowl, split seats, side mounted twin-barrel exhaust, split grab rails, tail section, rear tyre hugger and rear LED taillight.
    Pulsar 250 engine and specs
    Pulsar 250 gets a new 250cc motor. It is different, as compared to the one currently in use with KTM 250cc bikes, Dominar 250 and Husqvarna 250. The new engine is capable of generating 24 bhp of max power and 21.5 Nm of peak torque. It will be coupled with a 5-speed gearbox.

    New Jawa Cruiser Spied Testing In Pune – Launch Expected In 2022

    Launched in 2018, Jawa motorcycles have emerged as popular options for retro enthusiasts. While existing models continue to deliver consistent sales, Jawa is looking to further boost numbers by expanding its portfolio.
    Jawa range will be extended to include new products, one of which will be a cruiser bike. This was recently spotted on road test in Pune. Thanks to Suyog Phadtare for sharing the exclusive spy shot of new Jawa cruiser.
    Jawa cruiser styling and features
    Just like other Jawa bikes, the cruiser focuses on retro styling bits. Some key features include round headlamp and rear-view mirrors, tear-drop shaped fuel tank and turn signals, broad rear fender, and comfy wide seat.
    Dimensionally, Jawa cruiser appears to be around the same size as Perak. It is possible that it could share the same platform as that of Perak, with a bit of tuning. The upcoming Jawa Cruiser has a pillion seat, which is much larger than any other Jawa motorcycle on sale today. Also, the rear suspension setup is that of twin-shocks, instead of a monoshock that is seen on Perak.

    Side profile is pretty skeletal with just the radiator, engine and side cover. The bike has dual exhaust pipes in a sober, minimalistic design. Users can expect a throaty aural experience, similar to or even better than existing Jawa motorcycles. The test mule spotted had a dark theme, evident in blacked-out parts such as crash guard, exhaust, engine, and wheels. At launch, the bike is likely to be offered in multiple colour options.
    Talking about ergonomics, Jawa cruiser has a comfortable, upright riding stance. The bike has raised, wide handlebar and forward set footpegs. The wide seat with ample cushioning should ensure optimal comfort for both rider and pillion.
    Footpegs for pillion are also placed in a forward position. It is possible that Jawa cruiser may get Bluetooth-based connectivity features. The test mule was spotted with inverted speedo, which is already offered with existing Jawa bikes.

It will have disc brakes at both ends, integrated with dual-channel ABS. Upon launch, it might not have any direct rival in the 350cc segment. In the price segment, it will continue to rival the range of 350cc motorcycles from Royal Enfield. If Bajaj Avenger 400 is launched, that could also be a potential rival.

    After Jawa, Mahindra-owned Classic Legends is working to revive other iconic motorcycle brands such as Yezdi and BSA. Yezdi is expected to focus on Indian market, whereas BSA will target European markets, starting with UK.
    Yezdi bikes spotted on road tests include Roadking and an ADV motorcycle. Roadking will take on upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350 whereas the ADV will rival Royal Enfield Himalayan. Both Yezdi bikes are expected to be unveiled by end of this year or early next year. More

    Royal Enfield 650cc Cruiser To Be Launched As Super Meteor 650

    To maintain its dominance, Royal Enfield has plans to launch multiple products every year. The idea is to keep customers engaged and proactively fend off attack by new products being launched by rival OEMs. The first in this series of new launches was Meteor 350, which has already emerged as a popular choice in 350cc segment.
    Then came the updated versions of Himalayan and 650 twins. More recently, the new gen Classic 350 was launched. Other expected products that have been spied several times on road tests include a new bike named Hunter 350 and the company’s flagship 650cc cruiser. Royal Enfield is also working on a 650cc roadster. It is now being reported that the cruiser 650 will debut next month as Super Meteor 650, at the EICMA 2021 in Milan, Italy.
    Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 – design and features
    Retro styling is clearly evident on Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 cc cruiser. Some of the key features include round rear view mirrors, tear-drop shaped fuel tank, large seat, dual exhaust in chrome finish and broad rear fenders. The bike offers a comfortable riding stance with forward-set footpegs and ergonomically placed wide handlebar.
    It is expected that Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser will get a range of hi-tech features. One of these will be Tripper navigation that was first introduced with Meteor 350. A new range of connected features could also be offered with 650cc cruiser.
    Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Spied Testing

    Powering 650cc cruiser will be the same engine that is offered with Interceptor and Continental GT. The 648cc twin-cylinder, air/oil-cooled unit is capable of generating 47 hp of max power at 7150 rpm and 52 Nm of peak torque at 5250 rpm. It utilizes a 6-speed constant mesh transmission. Power and torque output may be tweaked for 650cc cruiser, if needed.
    Another notable thing about 650cc cruiser is that it will be the first Royal Enfield bike to utilize USD front forks. At the rear, the bike will have standard twin shock absorbers. It will have disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS will be offered as standard.
    Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 – launch plans
    Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is expected to be launched early next year. Earlier this year, the company had registered a new name ‘Royal Enfield Shotgun’. There are speculations that this name could be used for another variant (roadster) of the 650cc cruiser.

    It could be priced in the range of Rs 4 lakh (ex-sh), which would be a good deal in this segment. The bike will also be made available in international markets. There, it will rival the likes of Honda Rebel, Kawasaki Vulcan 650 and Harley Davidson Street.

    New TVS Motorcycle Spied – Apache Based Retro To Rival Yamaha FZX?

    TVS Motor Company is working on a number of upcoming models and this fact could be established by various trademarks filed by the bikemaker in recent times. One of the trademarks registered by the company which gained a lot of traction in online media was Retron.
    Initially, it was speculated to be reserved for the brand’s upcoming electric scooter based on the Creon Concept. However, now it has been suspected to be utilised for the upcoming retro-style classic motorcycle from TVS. Recently, a new motorcycle test mule was spied in Hosur near the company’s manufacturing site.
    TVS Retron Spied ?
    The image is credited to Ashish Kadam which shows a disguised prototype of the retro motorcycle conducting trial tests. Retron is expected to be based on the same underpinnings as Apache RTR 160 hence one could identify many elements of this motorcycle with the modern sporty roadster.
    Some distinct attributes noticeable are a single-piece grab rail for the pillion, a single-piece saddle and an upswept exhaust canister. The LED taillight looks like an auxiliary unit while the rear fender extends from the tail section.
    New TVS Retron Based On Apache?
    The motorcycle rolls on alloy wheels shod with meaty tyres with a wider profile and cross-section. There are minimum body panels on the side indicating that it could be naked roadster. The spy image of the bike only focuses on the rear and side profiles of the motorcycle and hence does not reveal any detail of its front face.
    However, if we hazard a guess, it could flaunt a signature retro-style design with a round headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and circular rearview mirrors. From the looks of it, the upcoming motorcycle appears to carry a circular instrument console with part analogue and part digital readouts.
    New TVS Motorcycle – Expected Specs
    Coming to specifications, the bike seen in the images has been equipped with telescopic forks at front and a mono-shock at rear. Stopping power is achieved from disc brakes at both ends. We expect TVS to offer dual-channel ABS on this motorcycle. It is expected to be powered by a 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that propels Apache RTR 160.
    New TVS Retron Based On Apache?
    It will be interesting to see in which configuration this engine will be offered. If offered in a 2-valve setup, this motor can kick out 15.3 bhp and 13.9 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, if offered in a 4-valve setup, this power mill dishes out 17.39 bhp and a peak torque of 14.73 Nm. In either case, the bike will be offered with a 5-speed gearbox.
    Upon launch, it is expected to rival the likes of Yamaha FZ-X. More spy images of Retron in future could help us decode more details about this upcoming retro motorcycle. As of now, there are hardly any details to speculate a launch timeline or expected price. More

    New Bajaj Pulsar 250 Teased For The First Time – Official

    It was in November 2001 that Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180 were launched in the Indian market. Priced competitively, the bikes can be credited with popularizing performance-oriented biking in the country. Over the years, Pulsar range has been expanded to include several new products. Pulsar motorcycles continue to be bestsellers for the company.
    Bajaj Pulsar 250 Teased
    NS250 is expected to borrow some of the styling bits from existing naked NS motorcycles such as NS160 and NS200. On the same lines, 250F could have some features similar to that of Pulsar 220F. It is likely that Pulsar 250cc twins will utilize a new platform. Both bikes could share features such as headlamp and LED DRLs. They appear to have an aggressive front fascia.
    Talking about differences between the two bikes, NS250 utilizes a minimalistic front cowl in comparison to the larger, puffed-up unit used on 250F. On 250F, the front fairing merges seamlessly with the tank shrouds. NS250 has a small flyscreen, which is largely there as visual aid. 250F has a much larger flyscreen that should provide adequate wind protection.
    While the rear-view mirrors are the same, they are mounted differently. On NS250, the rear-view mirrors are placed on the handlebar. 250F has it on the front apron. Other things like front fender, engine cowl, crash guard, tail section and rear LED taillight appear to be the same on both bikes. Other key features include split-seat design, split grab rails, side-mounted twin-barrel exhaust canister and rear tyre hugger. Below is the first official teaser of the new Bajaj Pulsar 250.

    In terms of ergonomics, both bikes appear to have a comfortable riding stance. Foot pegs are centrally located on both bikes. One difference though is that 250F appears to have a slightly raised handlebar. In comparison, NS250 appears to use low set handlebar. This should allow a more committed riding posture, as and when needed.
    Pulsar NS250 and 250F engine and specs
    It is expected that Pulsar NS250 and 250F will get an entirely new 249cc engine. This will be different from the ones currently in use with Dominar 250 and KTM 250cc bikes. The new engine could churn out 24 bhp of max power and 20 Nm of peak torque. It will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
    Bajaj is expected to equip its biggest Pulsars with advanced tech such as variable valve actuation (VVA) and assist and slipper clutch. This will allow the new Pulsars to compete effectively with rival products from Suzuki and Yamaha. In other updates, the bikes could get Bluetooth-based connectivity features.

    Royal Enfield has plans to launch 4 new or updated bikes every year for the next 7 years. In the past 12 months, they have already launched the new Meteor 350, updated Himalayan, updated 650 Twins and the new Classic 350. The next motorcycle in line for launch could be the Hunter 350cc scrambler.
    This new offering will allow the company to further fortify its position in the Indian bike market, and more particularly in the 350 cc segment where it already commands more than 90% percent market share. Likely to be christened as Hunter upon launch sometime next year, the bike is currently doing the test rounds.
    It is is based on the new modular J platform, which it will share with the Meteor 350 and the new Classic 350. Thanks to latest spy shots, new design elements have come to the fore. On that basis, automotive rendering artist Pratyush Rout has created digital renders in 6 different colours.
    2022 Royal Enfield Hunter 350cc – Render
    New 2022 Royal Enfield Hunter 350cc looks young and sporty. It is aimed at new generation of motorcycle riders. It will be offered in both monotone and dual tone colour options. Spy shots of the model on test show off its athletic stance with blacked-out circular headlamp and body panels, a single seat setup, wide set handlebars and blacked out multi-spoke alloy wheels.

    It gets well positioned footpegs that offer the rider a forward leaning stance. Features also include rear view mirrors, upswept exhaust and a shortened tail segment with a circular tail lamp.
    Just like Meteor, it will also sport a semi digital instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer and a rectangular multi information display unit. It could however miss out on the Tripper Navigation system seen on the new Himalayan and Meteor 350. Suspension and braking will be via telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking will be via disc brakes in front and rear.
    Engine Specs
    The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is likely to be powered by 349 cc, air cooled, single cylinder engine that also powers the Meteor and Classic. This engine produces 20.2 hp power and 27 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed transmission. The exhaust gets tuned for delivering a more crisper / raspier sound as compared to the other 350cc machines from RE.
    There are no indications on pricing as on date but it is likely that the RE Hunter 350 could come in within a price range that will undercut the Honda CB350 on arrival. Once launched, the new Hunter 350 will appeal to a younger segment of buyers in the country and compete with the Honda CB350RS and soon to be launched Yezdi Roadking. More

    New KTM RC 200 Arrives At Dealer Showroom – First Look Walkaround

    New chassis, performance upgrades and enhanced safety equipment are a part of the updates seen on the new gen KTM RC 200
    Earlier this week, KTM India launched the new gen RC125 and RC200. These are priced from Rs 1.82 lakh and Rs 2.09 lakh respectively. In comparison, the older gen RC 125 was priced at Rs 1.8 lakh and the RC 200 was priced at Rs 2.08 lakh. All prices are ex-sh. In the next few days, KTM India is expected to launch the new gen RC 390. Bookings are already open at dealer showrooms.
    New KTM RC 200 – First Look Walkaround
    RC 200 boasts of new LED headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lights and integrated indicators. It also sports a new two piece front fender providing protection to both radiator and engine, foldable mirrors for a broader visual range, improved aerodynamics, clip on handlebars and two dual tone colour options of Black with Orange highlight and White with Orange highlight.
    KTM RC 200 receives a new LCD instrument console that is also seen on the KTM 250 Adventure. This console sports a blue backlit as against the orange backlit digital console seen on the earlier model.
    2021 KTM RC 200 gets a new ultra lightweight framework reducing kerb weight by 1.5 kgs over its earlier counterpart. The trellis frame and bolt on sub-frame allows for higher speed stability and increased rider confidence. New KTM RC 200 has started to arrive at dealer showrooms, as can be seen in the first look walkaround video shared by Rolling Peace.

    New KTM RC 200 – Engine Specs
    Just like the new gen RC 125, the new RC 200 also uses the same engine from before. It is powered by a 199.5 cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. It has been tweaked to deliver better performance, acceleration and cooling.
    The engine is capable of 25.8 hp power and 19.5 Nm torque. It gets carbon coated cam levers for lower friction but added power. The piston is cooled using a nozzle that sprays on the head relating to longer life and smoother acceleration. KTM has also added a 40 percent bigger airbox to the new gen RC 200 that offers a crisper throttle response.
    The bike now sports a 320mm disc brake in the front and 230mm disc brake at the rear. Overall weight has been reduced due to a lighter chassis which is now 1.5 kgs lighter and 5 spoke alloy wheels that are 3.4 kgs lighter.
    However, despite lighter weight, the wheels are capable of quicker turn in track environment and better durability under street ride conditions. Weight reduction is also seen in the case of new brakes are also of lower in weight by 960 gms. The 2021 KTM RC 200 now weighs 151 kgs (dry). Deliveries of the new KTM RC range are to commence soon.
