Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Scram And ADV – Spied Together

One can expect the new Himalayan 450 to be an improved product in almost every respectRoyal Enfield Himalayan 450 Scram and ADVRoyal Enfield is right in the middle of modernizing its entire product portfolio. After getting the Meteor up and running, the retro-classic specialist has turned its attention to renovating the Himalayan adventure tourer. RE is also busy developing a new variant of its 350 cc family in the form of Hunter 350.New Royal Enfield Himalayan 450Pre-series prototypes of next gen Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 have made a habit of getting photographed while they are on a mission to accumulate crucial test miles. This time, the new adventure tourer was captured along with what appears to be its scrambler sibling (we will talk about it later). Spy shots are credited to automotive enthusiast Karunakaran. As the development process progresses, the prototypes are inching closer to production version, and we like what we see. New RE Himalayan 450 appears to be enjoying a significantly improved level of perceived quality. Hardware enhancements come in the form of a new frame which is expected to be sturdier (better off-road performance), new inverted front forks and an all-new 450 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor.Nothing much is known about the engine as of now but we bet it will have much better output figures than the outgoing 411 cc air and oil-cooled unit which develops a rather modest 24 hp and 32 Nm of torque. It is also being said that the new engine will offer ride-by-wire technology which will enable ride modes. The RE loyalists would definitely love the boost in highway performance the new heart promises to bring on board.Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 ADVOther noteworthy changes include a larger fuel tank which will translate into improved range, wider and more comfortable 2-piece seats, a digital instrument cluster which is likely to incorporate smartphone connectivity of turn-by-turn navigation and an array of provisions for touring accessories. The motorcycle appears to have retained its predecessors 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels shod with dual-purpose tyres.Royal Enfield Scram 450 in the making?Interestingly, the Himalayan 450 was accompanied by another test mule. In the earlier post, we mentioned this motorcycle as Hunter 350. But that is not correct. Hat tip to our readers for the help. This new test mule is believed to be a scrambler version of the new Himalayan 450 ADV. Upon launch next year, the H450 twins are likely to have a similar setup on offer by RE, like the current Himalayan 411 and Scram 411.New Royal Enfield Scram 450 seems to be equipped with suspension setup (front gets conventional forks, against USD on ADV version), frame and engine identical to those of the former. The circular headlamp, simple instrument dial, flat handlebar and heavily contoured single-piece seat makes it a textbook scrambler. This variant adopts 17-inch alloy wheels with dual purpose tyres and a conventional telescopic front forks instead of the adventure tourer’s upside-down setup. The scrambler variant also features a different fuel tank.Royal Enfield Scram 450 HimalayanGiven that developing a new liquid-cooled engine ground up comes with a huge investment, it makes sense to maximize the return by employing it in more than just one product. We won’t be surprised if RE’s new mid-size motor finds itself on-board more products in addition to the new Himalayan and its Scrambler derivative. We expect RE to debut the new Himalayan 450 sometime later this year, probably at EICMA 2022 in Milan in November. The Scram 450 is also expected to debut at the same event, if not, it will follow in a few months’ time. With vast improvements and state-of-the-art technologies, the Indian adventure tourer will be a much more appealing prospect than its predecessor not only in the domestic market but also in the international markets. With increased range and new features, Nexon EV Max has improved capabilities vis-a-vis rivals like MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona ElectricNew Tata Nexon EV Max – 437 Kms Range Electric SUVWhile Nexon EV is the topselling electric car in the country, its range of 312 km is not something that everyone feels comfortable with. This is especially true in a situation where charging infrastructure is yet to be fully developed. Another factor is that actual range in real world conditions is only around 200 km.Tata Nexon Electric Max PricesTo eliminate range anxiety and provide an improved overall experience to users, Tata Motors has launched all-new Nexon EV Max today. It is offered in two variants of XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. Prices start from Rs 17.74 lakh ex-sh, and go all the way to Rs 19.24 lakh ex-sh. Three colour options are on offer – White, Grey and Intensi-Teal. In terms of battery capacity, Nexon EV Max is now ahead of Hyundai Kona Electric that has a 39.2 kWh battery pack. However, it still falls short of MG ZS EV that utilizes a 50.3 kWh battery pack.Tata Nexon EV vs EV Max PricesWith the larger battery pack, Nexon EV Max has achieved ARAI certified range of 437 km. That’s an impressive gain of 125 km. However, just like the standard Nexon EV, the Max variant’s real-time range is likely to be lower. True range of Nexon EV Max is expected to be around 300 km. Nexon EV Max is Rs 1.79 lakh more expensive than the Nexon EV, and is about 100 kgs heavier.Tata Nexon EV Max – Gets 30+ New FeaturesHowever, it could be higher if the company has carried out some targeted changes in the powertrain and other systems such as regenerative braking. Tata has ensured that the larger battery pack does not reduce boot space. It remains the same as earlier at 350-litre.With 437 km range, Nexon EV Max can emerge as an affordable alternative to MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona. Certified range of MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona are 461 km and 452 km, respectively.Tata Nexon EV Max – Two Variants on offerNexon EV Max power and torqueUsers can expect peppier performance with Nexon EV Max, as power and torque output has been increased to 143 hp and 250 Nm. That’s a gain of 14 hp and 5 Nm. Rival MG ZS EV numbers are at 177 PS / 280 Nm whereas Kona Electric generates 136 PS / 395 Nm.Tata Nexon EV Max at a glanceCharging options have been updated for Nexon EV Max. It includes a 3.3kWh portable charger that will be offered as standard. The limitation of this charger is that it will take around 15-16 hours to achieve a full charge. To get over this issue, Tata Motors is offering a more powerful 7.2kWh charger. Users have to pay an additional amount for this charger. It will reduce charging time to 6.5 hours.Tata Nexon EV Max SpecsNexon EV Max new featuresNew version of Nexon EV packs in a range of premium and hi-tech features. It includes illuminated gear knob with park mode, wireless charging, air purifier and cooled seats. Safety features include ESP, hill hold assist and electric parking brake. Bookings have opened, and first batch of Nexon EV Max is on its way to dealerships across India. More

2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Render Based On New Spy Shots

Upon its launch, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected to be a more potent rival to KTM 390 Adventure2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – RenderRoyal Enfield Himalayan was conceived by none other than their CEO, Siddhartha Lal. It was considered to be his brainchild, due to his love for riding motorcycles in the Himalayas. It was first showcased as a concept in 2015, and was launched in 2016. Apart from India, Himalayan is on sale in many countries around the globeThe initial years saw Royal Enfield fixing multiple issues that were reported by customers. To solve these, RE has delivered updates to the Himalayan every now and then, the latest being in 2021. With the Himalayan more or less sorted now, Royal Enfield has started work on Gen 2 Himalayan, which will be a completely different machine.2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 RenderUpcoming next generation Himalayan will be powered by an all-new engine which will be more modern and powerful than the current 411cc unit. Test mules have already been spotted on a number of occasions. Based on these spy shots, design artist Pratyush Rout has created a digital rendering of the upcoming Himalayan 450. The adventure bike flaunts a fair bit of design updates, making it distinct from the current Himalayan.2023 Himalayan 450 render portrays it as a typical adventure bike with characteristic elements like a large windscreen, a beak upfront, a tall stance and a large luggage rack at rear. It is evident that the designer has tried to retain the core Himalayan DNA, as Royal Enfield intends to. That said, there are noticeable variations that set both motorcycles apart.2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – RenderFor instance, it gets a reshaped fuel tank which seems to be larger than the one in the current model. Split seats have been revised and appear to be more comfortable, especially for the pillion with its flat contour. Instead of a long, upswept exhaust in chrome finish, the upcoming model will feature a short bottle exhaust finished in black.2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – RenderRiding triangle appears to be slightly different from the current model and is focused on more comfort. Handlebar is taller and pulled towards the rider while footpegs are mounted centrally. Other visual highlights include a floating tail section, handguards, a redesigned rear panel, a circular headlamp and a new sleeker LED tail lamp with LED turn indicators.Expected Features & SpecsThe upcoming version of Himalayan gets completely new body panels. In terms of features, it will receive an all-new circular instrument console that is almost parallel to the front visor. Himalayan 450 is also expected to be laced with some modern gadgetry such as Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, ride-by-wire throttle and riding modes like road, off-road and rain.2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – RenderSome major changes are expected under the skin. The new adventure bike will be underpinned by a trellis frame and is most likely to be lighter than the existing model. Suspension duties are expected to be carried out by new upside-down forks at front and a mono-shock at rear. Brakes are expected to be larger single-disc units at both ends, likely to be aided by a switchable ABS.The new Himalayan is expected to roll on similar 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoked wheels as before. The wheels will be wrapped by knobby dual-purpose tyres. Powering Himalayan 450 will be a brand new 450cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that could dish out around 40 bhp of peak power. This unit is expected to be paired with a 5-speed gearbox. More

2023 Bajaj Pulsar N160 Spied Testing For The First Time

Bajaj is taking a top-down approach for the new range of Pulsar models, the next model in this lineup is expected to be a 180-200cc bike2023 Bajaj Pulsar N160Bajaj Pulsar is an aspirational brand of sporty commuter motorcycles. Strong performance backed by affordability is one of its key universal selling points. These are more than a few reasons why this motorcycle range continues to be a rage even after two decades in the market.Currently, Bajaj is in a rebuilding phase and is trying to reinvent the Pulsar series by introducing some new models under its belt. The first in this revamped lineup is Pulsar 250 twins- N250 and F250 that was launched late last year. The company confirmed that it will be launching more new models under the Pulsar moniker in the coming future.New Bajaj Pulsar Spotted- Is it Pulsar N160?Recently, a new test mule of a Pulsar motorcycle was spotted outside Pune which was speculated to be the new-gen Bajaj Pulsar 125. The prototype was under heavy camouflage and did not divulge any specific details of the upcoming bike. Now, another Bajaj Pulsar has been spied testing without any camouflage this time around.Reports indicate that it could be a Pulsar with a smaller engine displacement, most probably a new Pulsar 160. The test mule that had been spotted in Pune, looked very similar to the new Pulsar N250. Hence, the new 160cc naked streetfighter will be based on the all-new Pulsar N250 platform and could replace the current Pulsar NS160 in future.2023 Bajaj Pulsar N1602023 Bajaj Pulsar N160Headlight cowl of the test mule is a fitting image of the naked quarter-litre Pulsar. It features projector LED headlight flanked by twin eyebrows-shaped LED DRLs just like Pulsar N250. While indicators on this new prototype are bulb units, split tail lamps consist of LED internals. It receives a contoured split-seat setup with a raised tail section and split grab rails.Like N250, this new testing prototype receives a single-piece handlebar which should ensure comfortable and upright ergonomics. The motorcycle is built on the same chassis as the 250cc Pulsars, so it gets the same frame, telescopic front fork, and a rear mono-shock. Even body panels appear to be borrowed from the new generation quarter-litre Pulsars.Expected SpecsIn all probability, Bajaj will be employing a brand new engine with a construction similar to that of N250 and F250. The current NS160 is powered by a 160cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that pumps out 17.03 bhp and 14.6 Nm of peak torque. The new engine will be richer in torque and even comes with a kick-starter which is a rare feature these days.2023 Bajaj Pulsar N160It appears to ride on 17-inch alloy wheels that are shod with MRF rubber with a slightly thicker profile at rear. Braking duties are carried out by disc brakes at both ends that will be complemented by single-channel ABS. Although no specific launch timeline has been confirmed yet, the next model under the new range of Pulsar could hit markets by end of this year or in early 2023.Source More
