Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Launch Price Rs 1.5 L To Rs 1.69 L

Royal Enfield is upping their value quotient with Hunter 350 as it will be the least expensive offering from its stablesNew Royal Enfield Hunter 350 LaunchedRoyal Enfield has created Hunter 350 mainly aiming at the younger audience and it shows in the design. We can see the neatly laid out motorcycle with smaller proportions than what we usually associate with the Royal Enfield brand. It also gets eye-catching colour schemes and modern stylish graphics. Even though it is targeted at a younger audience, it is a modern retro through and through.Pricing starts from Rs. 1.5 lakh for Retro variant, Rs 1.64 lakh for the Metro variant Dapper Series and goes all the way till Rs. 1.69 lakh for Metro Rebel variants (prices ex-sh, Chennai). With varied feature differences between Retro and Metro, Royal Enfield has created two distinct motorcycles set to appeal to different audiences as uncovered from the launch event led by CEO Siddhartha Lal. Let’s break it down.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 RetroWhere TVS Ronin has mixed personalities, Hunter 350 is being positioned as an Urban Cruiser. As it gets blacked-out engine bay and along with fork gaiters and visor, one can easily transform Hunter 350 into a scrambler with block pattern tyres too.Hunter Retro gets spoked wheels, 300 mm disc brake at front and drum at rear, single-channel ABS, switch gear and instrument cluster from Classic 350, halogen tail lamp and oval-shaped turn signals. 17” Spoked wheels on Retro are shod with 100/80 rubber at front and 120/80 at its rear.New Royal Enfield Hunter 350 LaunchedRetro trim doesn’t get a main stand and weighs only 177 kg. Lower-spec Retro trim is offered with only two colour options, Factory Black and Factory Silver. But Royal Enfield has offered a slew of accessories covered below, to spruce things up considerably.  Hunter 350 Metro & Metro RebelWhile Retro trims appeal to purists, Metro is certainly shooting for the youth and enthusiasts. Metro trim also has a lot more to offer than Retro in terms of features, colours and also cool factors. The large Royal and Enfield branding on either side of fuel may split opinions, but the company has options too.Hunter 350 Metro trims get alloy wheels finished in black, 300 mm disc brake at front and 270 mm disc at the rear, dual-channel ABS, LED taillights, and round turn indicators. Switchgear and instrument cluster are from the more modern Meteor 350 which also gets an option to opt for the tripper screen that enables Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity with notifications, navigation, and more.New Royal Enfield Hunter 350 LaunchedTyres get an upgrade over Retro trim as Metro trims are shod with 110/70 rubber at front and 140/70 rubber at the rear. Dapper White and Dapper Ash are the colours to choose from. However, Dapper Grey can only be available via RE’s MIY personalization platform. Metro Rebel versions get Rebel Black, Rebel Blue and Rebel Red (via MIY). Due to extra features, hardware and main stand, Metro weighs 181 kg.Powertrains & AccessoriesHunter 350 is based on Royal Enfield’s modern J-series platform. Hence, gets the same 349 cc single-cylinder engine as found on Meteor 350. This is a massive departure from Royal Enfield’s spine-shattering engines of yesteryear with a lot of vibrations. It makes 20.2 bhp at 6,100 RPM and 27 Nm at 4,000 RPM and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox with 114 km/h top speed and 36.2 km/l fuel efficiency. It gets a decent 150 mm of ground clearance and 800 mm of seat height.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Official Accessories (1/x) pic.twitter.com/Kh2FhsceS9— RushLane (@rushlane) August 7, 2022Royal Enfield has also offered a slew of accessories under two distinct themes, Urban and Suburban. Urban theme accessories include a blacked-out engine guard, ribbed seat, sump guard, tail tidy, fly screen, black LED indicators and bar-end mirrors. Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Vs CB350RS Vs Jawa Vs Ronin – Specs Compared

Hunter 350 is expected to be launched in the price range of Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 1.7 lakh, making it accessible to a larger customer baseNew Royal Enfield Hunter 350Most athletic Royal Enfield bike till date, Hunter 350 is scheduled to debut on August 7th. Ahead of that, details of the bike have been revealed. Only thing left is the price, which will be announced during the launch event. Going by its compact proportions and neo-retro profile, Hunter 350 will primarily target younger audiences. To understand how it fares against rivals, here’s a quick comparison between Royal Enfield Hunter 350 vs. Honda CB350RS vs. TVS Ronin TD vs. Jawa Forty Two.All four bikes have retro styling, as evident in features such as round headlamp, circular rear view mirrors and tear-drop shaped fuel tank. Other than that, these bikes have unique features that ensure a distinctive look and feel. Hunter and Ronin have an advantage here, as these are entirely new models. Freshness in design and the prospect of trying something new can help boost sales. All four bikes are available in a range of attractive colour options. Personalization options are available with Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Vs CB350RS Vs Jawa Vs RoninHunter uses the 349cc air cooled motor that’s also in use with Classic 350 and Meteor 350. It makes 20.2 hp of max power at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. TVS Ronin TD has the smallest capacity engine among the four bikes. However, power output is at par with Hunter 350 and Honda CB350RS. Ronin has a 225.9cc air-and-oil cooled motor that generates 20.1 hp at 7,750 rpm and 19.93 Nm at 3,750 rpm.Honda CB350RS is powered by a 348cc, air cooled engine that churns out 20.7 hp at 5,500 rpm and 30 Nm at 3,000 rpm. CB350RS has the highest torque output in the group. Jawa Forty Two has the highest power output among the four bikes at 27.3 hp. It is powered by a 293cc, liquid cooled motor. Torque output is at 27 Nm. While Jawa has a 6-speed gearbox, the other three bikes have 5-speed gearbox. Drive experience could be better with CB350RS and Ronin, as these two bikes have slipper clutch.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Vs CB350RS Vs Jawa Vs RoninHunter 350 vs. rivals – specsHunter 350 is heaviest in the group with kerb weight of 181 kg. Lightest is TVS Ronin at 160 kg. Since Ronin’s power output is at par with Hunter and CB350RS, the bike will have a higher power-to-weight ratio. CB350RS and Jawa Forty Two have kerb weight of 179 kg and 171 kg, respectively. Ronin has the highest ground clearance of 181 mm whereas CB350RS tops the list in wheelbase at 1,441 mm. Jawa Forty Two can have better handling with the lowest seat height of 765 mm.In terms of suspension, Ronin fares better with USD forks at front. The golden coloured USD forks also work to enhance the bike’s look and feel. Other bikes have standard telescopic forks at the front. At rear, Ronin has monoshock suspension in comparison to twin rear shock absorbers used on other three bikes. From a safety perspective, all four bikes are equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard. CB350RS can be better, as it has traction control. In terms of technology, Ronin takes the lead by offering a comprehensive range of connectivity features. Hunter and CB350RS also have Bluetooth-based connectivity features. Jawa Forty Two is purely old-school and does not have any type of connectivity features.Hunter 350 vs. rivals – pricingHunter 350 prices will be announced at the time of launch. Among the other three bikes, Ronin TD is most affordable at Rs 1.69 lakh – Rs 1.71 lakh. Costliest bike in the group is CB350RS at Rs 2.03 lakh. Jawa Forty Two is available at a starting price of Rs 1.94 lakh. More

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Fully Leaks – Blue And White Dual Tone

Critical sub-systems like engine, frame, suspension, braking system, etc., will be carried over from the well-established Meteor 350New Royal Enfield Hunter 350. Credit – BK SAHAThe eagerly awaited Royal Enfield Hunter 350, a new derivative of the two wheeler brand’s new 350 cc platform is days away from its launch. The retro classic motorcycle has just been homologated. Registration formalities at regional transport authorities have commenced earlier this month. The said document also throws light on important specifications of the motorcycle. To be underpinned by the new J-Platform which debuted with the Meteor 350, the Hunter 350 is essentially a roadster variant of the donor model. In fact, the registration approval document clearly mentions the Meteor as the base model and Hunter as its variant. This means the duo will share majority of the components.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Fully LeaksTo be launched on 7th Aug, specs and colours of Royal Enfield Hunter 350 leaked earlier today. Now, the first units of Hunter have started to arrive at dealer yards across India. The variant seen here, is likely to be the top Metro Retro variant, which will be offered in dual tone colour. The Hunter Rebel Blue colour seen in these leaked photos, is seen in dual tone colour scheme of blue and white. In terms of dimensions, the soon-to-be-launched Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is more compact than its cruiser sibling. At 1,370 mm, the wheelbase is 30 mm shorter while the length is down a good 85 mm at 2,055 mm. The new RE is also narrower and shorter with width and height of 800 mm and 1,370 mm respectively. The gross vehicle weight is rated at 360 kg and the Hunter is homologated to transport 2 persons.New Royal Enfield Hunter 350The compact dimensions are atypical of Royal Enfield motorcycles. With a sleek yet nostalgic design, the company will be aiming to bring in new breed of younger audience to its forum. We expect the twin down-tube frame of the Meteor to be carried forward but with a different geometry. The motorcycle will be suspended by traditional telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks adjustable for pre-load. The previous spyshots confirmed that the Hunter 350 will adopt 17-inch alloy wheels. The front and rear tyre sections are 110 mm and 140 mm respectively. Just like the Meteor, the braking system will be composed of twin-piston 300 mm front and single-piston 270 mm rear disc brakes (both floating calipers), governed by Dual-channel ABS. A semi-digital instrument cluster with tripper turn-by-turn navigation system is expected to be on offer.New Royal Enfield Hunter 350Medium displacement kingLeaked document confirms that the Meteor’s 349 cc motor will be carried forward without significant changes, and it will be rated at 14.87 kW (20.24 hp) at 6,100 rpm. While nothing is mentioned about the transmission, we can be sure that the 5-speed unit will also be a carryover but there could be some slight difference in gear ratios or final drive ratio to impart a character that suits a roadster. The air/oil-cooled fuel-injected motor is a significant step-up in the refinement department compared to the old thumpers.Royal Enfield has been the undisputed leader of the mid-displacement motorcycle segment in the country. The competition couldn’t really make a dent but not for the lack of trying. With the Hunter 350, RE will be looking to consolidate its strong position. The newly launched TVS Ronin 250 will be the Hunter’s primary rival. Expect launch price to be in the Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 1.7 lakh range – ex showroom.Source More

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Teaser Mentions Bullet Meri Jaan – 5th Aug

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will be launched on 7th August 2022 – First official teaser of the same is now outRoyal Enfield Hunter 350 Teaser – Bullet Meri JaanRoyal Enfield has planned to launch many new motorcycles. Almost all are either on their 350cc platform or on the 650cc platform. They are the leaders in these respective segments.Ahead of their next new motorcycle launch, Royal Enfield has dropped a teaser, which says block your date 07.08.2022. But there is a twist in the teaser. It also mentions another date and another RE motorcycle name.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 TeaserThe ‘block your date’ reminder from Royal Enfield starts a weeklong countdown. And, there maybe a wee bit more to it than meets the eye. But then again, we’re overthinkers. The short 10-second video on its way to the day of action does employ a decoy. A look at the backdrop suggests a second launch. It’s likely the manufacturer has lined up 2 launches or this is a ploy to keep the audience guessing. We wouldn’t bank on it but there’s no harm in hoping, especially since this seems like a deliberate hint hidden in plain sight. Take a look at the Hunter 350 teaser video below.[embedded content][embedded content]And that prelude points to the Bullet. In keeping expectations at a minimum, this may not be a full-fledged launch but a reveal. The video backdrop, a retro pop art collage references not the block your date, but a predate listing ‘Bullet Meri Jaan’. It could be a folderol or fold up your sleeves, and let’s roll. The poster also has the photo of Siddhartha Lal.New Gen Bullet 350 Launch 5th Aug?Bullet Meri JaanIn spirit, Bullet 350 has for long carried the very spirit of Royal Enfield. And a recent spyshot enthuses spirits. And points to a Bullet 350 built on the automaker’s newer J-Series engine. A transition that’s expected, and well on its way. New Bullet 350 continues to be retro to its core, a design principle that’s key to Royal Enfield.Hunter as well as Bullet are built on the same platform. They will be powered by the same engine. Both are expected to be priced in a similar range, but will target different audiences. Launch price is expected to start under Rs 1.5 lakh, ex-sh.Could very well be a pleasant surprise if both motorcycles are revealed in succession. Double trouble. Bullet 350 Std new gen on 5th Aug and Hunter 350 on 7th Aug. Which upcoming RE are you waiting for? More

Mahindra Teases 5 New Electric SUVs – Debut On 15th Aug 2022

Mahindra Born Electric range of SUVs will be sold both here and abroad – Global debut on 15th Aug 2022New Mahindra Electric SUVs Teased – OfficialMahindra has been teasing us with their Born Electric range of SUVs time and time again. Last known teaser is of what we believe is the company’s upcoming XUV900 Electric coupe SUV. It demonstrates how the product will be a departure from what they have been doing with EVs till now.Till now, Mahindra has introduced drab-looking EVs that didn’t play with customers’ heart strings. If you’re wondering why, you can take a look at e2O, e2O Plus and eVerito. But from there Mahindra, as a conglomerate, has gone on to develop the 1900 bhp electric supercar, Battista under their subsidiary Pirinfarina. Mahindra went from 0 to 100, real quick (both figuratively and literally). Born Electric SUVs, as the name suggests, are designed as electric vehicles from the ground up.Mahindra Born Electric SUVsUntil now, the teaser shared by Mahindra showed that they were going to introduce 3 electric SUVs under Born Electric range. But the latest teaser, shared by Mahindra today, confirms there are going to be 5 electric SUVs. All will be making their global debut on the same date – 15th Aug 2022.These 5 electric SUVs are among the 7, that Mahindra has planned for their Born Electric series. All these vehicles are expected to be designed at Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) headed by Pratap Bose. One of them could be the upcoming XUV900 Electric SUV coupe that is expected to be the sportiest of the bunch. This can be the unveiling of upcoming XUV900 coupe concept or XUV400 Electric that tackles Nexon EV Max.[embedded content][embedded content]We can’t say anything for sure now. But going with Mahindra’s way of things, we can expect more teasers regarding the upcoming launch. Earlier teaser showed that all Born Electric SUVs get ‘C’ shaped LED DRLs in the front, that give them a distinct look. From the rear, they get LED light bars across the width of the SUVs that look attractive. The latest teaser reveals their body style from the side.Mahindra’s New EV subsidiary companyMahindra made their electric vehicles like e2O and e2O Plus under the subsidiary Mahindra Electric. But Mahindra has created a new EV subsidiary company so that they can have undivided attention on both their ICE vehicles and EV portfolio. For starters, this new company will make 4 new EVs for global markets. The Indian conglomerate has received Rs. 1925 crore investment from British International Investment (BII). This new company will strictly focus on four-wheeled passenger EVs. All these developments hint toward Mahindra wanting to lead the Indian four-wheeled passenger EV segment. This segment is currently dominated by Tata Motors with their Tigor EV, Nexon EV and Nexon EV Max.Tata Motors currently has over 83% of four-wheeled EV passenger market with MG trailing behind. We have seen Mahindra XUV400 Electric under testing and is expected to launch in September 2022. Even though EV tech is still young in India, electric four-wheeler is more than 2000 units a month segment as seen in our EV sales chart. For manufacturers foraying into the EV space, it is a good opportunity that is expected to increase rapidly. More

New Hero Scooter Spied For First Time – NTorq, RayZR 125cc Rival?

New Hero scooter is likely to be powered by the same 124.6cc engine found on Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125 with i3S techNew Hero 125cc Scooter SpiedHero MotoCorp is currently the highest-selling two-wheeler brand in India. Hero Splendor is the highest-selling motorcycle in India as seen in our top 10 motorcycle list for the month of June 2022. Splendor alone sells more than second and third highest selling motorcycles combined and is expected to stay that way for a long time. But in the scooter market of India, Hero has not had such a grand monopoly. Because that cake is still in Honda’s kitchen where the Activa is brewed. If we look at top 10 scooter list for the month of June 2022, Activa alone sells more than second highest to ninth highest selling vehicles combined. This says a lot about the scooter market in India.New Hero 125cc Scooter – Sporty DesignHero has scooters in its portfolio that rival Honda Activa series. At the lower end of the spectrum, Hero has Pleasure which is a 110cc scooter and at the top tier, it has Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125. But as sales figures indicate, both 125cc scooters from Hero are not in top 10.It is not that Hero’s 125cc engine doesn’t have any sauce: It does. It makes 9 bhp of power and 10.4 Nm of torque. This engine is also mated to Hero’s proprietary i3S technology which enables a stop/start feature improving fuel efficiency. It is the style, form factor and character that both the Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125 lacked. That’s where the new sporty scooter comes into play.New Hero 125cc Scooter SpiedThanks to Shifting-Gears, a new Hero scooter has been spied under testing with heavy camouflage. This new scooter dons a much more sporty and edgy design than the current scooters on sale by Hero. It gets an LED headlight set up on the front fascia like NTorq, RayZR and Avenis instead of on the handlebar like Activa, Jupiter and Access. This gives it a sporty appeal and enhances looks further, is an interesting LED DRL pattern. It is likely to be powered by 125cc engine.New Hero Scooter – Features & LaunchIt also gets storage compartments below the instrument console like other Hero scooters and will also get USB phone charging too. This upcoming scooter gets a switchable i3S button on the right switch gear. At the rear, it gets an ‘X’ shaped LED tail-light and normal halogen turn indicators.Hero should have given a smoked effect to the tail-light cover as they did with Xtreme 160R making it look sportier. A glaring omission on this scooter according to us, is an external fuel filler cap which would drastically aid user comfort while refueling.New Hero 125cc Scooter SpiedSuspension setup is a normal telescopic unit at front and twin shockers at the rear. Hero 125cc sporty scooter might get 12” wheels that are machine cut alloys in this top-spec trim along with a front disc brake too. We can expect steel wheels and drum brakes with lower variants. We also expect Hero to give the XTec system on this scooter too. The instrumentation screen is new which is a rectangular fully-digital LCD panel with expected features like trip meters, odometer, clock, fuel-level indicator and Bluetooth connectivity with notifications and turn-by-turn navigation.Hero MotoCorp has not revealed any details about this upcoming scooter yet. But it could be launched around the festive season and is likely to be priced on par with Maestro Edge. When launched, this sporty 125cc scooter will compete with other sporty scooters like TVS NTorq, Honda Grazia, Suzuki Avenis, and Yamaha RayZR. Of these, Ntorq, Avenis, RayZR regularly feature in the top 10 selling scooter list. Hero would be aiming to eat into their share with this new 125cc scooter.Source More

Mahindra Electric Pickup Truck To Debut On 15th Aug – Scoop

An electric pickup truck could finally be the right product for Mahindra to crack the elusive North American marketNew Mahindra Electric Pickup Truck – RenderEarlier this year, Mahindra teased three electric SUVs of varying sizes. The automaker is preparing for their global premiere in the UK on 15th of August, our Independence Day. The venue makes sense as majority of the design process of these vehicles has been handled by the UK-based Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE).We have learnt that one of the three upcoming EVs is a lifestyle pickup truck which will primarily be catering to the North American market. This array of zero emission products will usher in a new design era for Mahindra and Mahindra under the leadership of Pratap Bose. Mahindra North American Technical Center is said to be leading the engineering part.Mahindra Electric Pickup ConceptNothing much is known about the new Mahindra electric pickup or its siblings but we expect them to be based on a modular platform which is likely to take advantage of the recent component sharing tie-up with Volkswagen Group. As per the partnership, Mahindra gets to use critical EV components from the German giant’s MEB electric platform. Both single and dual-motor configurations are expected to be on offer but it’s too early to speculate about output figures or battery capacity. However, it is being rumoured that the battery packs will be sourced by LG and a Chinese supplier. All the three cars are estimated to have a range in excess of 400 km.Mahindra Born Electric SUVs – Teaser. Of these three, one is an electric pickup. The Indian SUV specialist has been having a strong aspiration to take the brand global for years now, but things haven’t panned out yet. However, a design center in the UK and a technical center in North America highlights that Mahindra has not given up on its global ambitions.Mahindra Electric International PlansThe acquisition of SsangYong failed to yield expected results and previous attempts to enter the North American market did not take off either. The Roxor has been marred by a lengthy legal battle with Jeep which eventually led Mahindra to significantly redesign its product. The company will be hoping that the new electric pickup truck and its SUV siblings could give it the much needed break in North America and other key overseas markets. In what comes as a significant boost to Mahindra’s global EV plans, British International Investment has announced an investment of up to INR 1,925 crore into a new electric 4 wheeler entity which will be wholly owned by M&M.To be incorporated under the banner Electric Vehicle Co., the new entity will have a capital infusion of around INR 8,000 cr (USD 1 billion) between FY24 and FY27 with both BII and M&M bringing in like-minded private investors. Further details about the EV Co. are expected to be revealed during the world premiere of the 3 new EVs next month. More
