Mahindra Vision.T Concept Teased Ahead Of Aug 15th Debut – T For Thar?

Mahindra Vision.T Concept Teased – T for Thar?First showcased a couple of years ago, Mahindra Thar.e remains one of the wildest concept vehicles the company ever showcased. It diverges away from Jeep Wrangler inspired design language and could propel the company’s efforts to expand its global presence.
Now, Mahindra Vision.T Concept has been teased, which is regarded as an evolution of Thar.e concept showcased on 15th August 2023. As per the teasers, Mahindra will unveil Vision.T concept on August 15th, 2025 and it would be interesting to see how much Mahindra’s design has evolved in two years.
    Mahindra Vision.T Concept
    Mahindra Vision.T Concept
This is the second teaser from Mahindra Auto, hinting at the possibilities of what could be showcased on 15th August 2025 in Mumbai city. As seen in the teaser, Mahindra is showing off a boxy and rugged SUV with a lot of attitude. We can see knobby M/T tyres and very short front overhang, which suggests that it may be a serious off-roader.
We can also see a muscular bonnet with character lines, flared wheel arches, an upright windscreen and other elements which point the obvious finger at Thar.e concept. Or an evolved version of Thar.e concept that the company is calling Vision.T. In the caption, Mahindra asks viewers “Any guesses on what the T in Vision.T stands for?”.
    Mahindra Vision.T Concept
The obvious answer seems to be Thar, while it may bear a suffix when launched in production- spec guise. Say, Thar Sports or any of the six trademarks remaining after Mahindra used Thar Roxx. These include Thar Armada, Thar Cult, Thar Savannah, Thar Rex, Thar Gladius and Thar Centurion.
    What to expect?
At the grand stage in Mumbai on 15th August 2025, Mahindra will showcase the Vision.T concept that is speculated to be an evolved version of Thar.e concept. Alongside that, Mahindra is expected to showcase around 4 to 5 new vehicles and a new platform that will underpin future vehicles from the brand.
    Mahindra Vision.T Concept
This event is named Freedom NU and the new platform is expected to support Petrol, Diesel, Electric and even Hybrid powertrains. We hope these new Hybrid powertrains from Mahindra are of Plug-in type and not self-hybrid type that only provide very little fuel efficiency benefits. There might be more teasers in the future till the unveiling, revealing more details. More

New Kinetic Electric Scooter Patented – iQube, Chetak, Ola, Rizta Rival

New Kinetic Electric Scooter PatentedKinetic is a known staple 2W brand operating in India for a very long time. The brand witnessed a downfall and is making a major comeback in electric scooter domain. The Kinetic Group controls Kinetic Engineering Ltd that further controls Kinetic Green and Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd. The former already sells electric 2W in the form of E-Zulu, Zing and E Luna.
The latter, Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd, is rather interesting because it is a culmination of Kinetic Engineering Ltd (KEL) and Kinetic Communications. This new vertical is tasked with developing integrated solutions for electric, controllers and batteries, but the company has just patented a new electric scooter as well. Let’s take a closer look.
    New Kinetic Electric Scooter Patented
Kinetic Watts and Volts has just patented a new electric scooter in India which might lock horns with the current crop of family electric scooters like Hero Vida, Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 range of family-style scooters. One could even say Kinetic is also tapping into the nostalgia card that Bajaj Chetak currently has, with retro design.
    New Kinetic Electric Scooter Patented
Design inspiration seems to be from the Kinetic Honda ZX, which was a successful scooter in India. We can see a similar overall silhouette, while bringing the design to modern times. The front fender in particular, reminds us of Kinetic Honda ZX and so does the front apron, which looks sleek and slender. There’s a Kinetic logo on this apron that looks neat.
Headlight is of rectangular shape situated on the handlebar flanked by what looks like turn indicators shaped similar to Kinetic logo. Above the headlight unit, there is a faux flyscreen like on Kinetic Honda that even gets KINETIC lettering. ORVMs are squarish in shape and floorboard looks quite spacious and accommodating.
The way side body panels are executed, reminds us of Kinetic Honda ZX with minimal design. Grab rail is a chunky single-piece unit and there’s no rear spare wheel here, unlike the original Kinetic Honda ZX. Alloy wheels look like they have a three-spoke design and there seems to be front disc brake as well, which is not clearly visible from the angle in this design patent.
Kinetic Honda ZX Scooter From The Past
    What to expect?
Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd inaugurated a new manufacturing facility last month in Ahilya Nagar, Maharashtra designed to make electric vehicles and its components. The company is likely to target mainstream electric scooter segment in India which is currently booming. There’s a good probability that this new upcoming scooter will be sold under Kinetic Green vertical, rather than spawning another 2W brand with Kinetic name.

Maruti eVitara Electric SUV Black Colour
    Range and Powertrain Options
The eVitara will be offered with two battery pack options – 49 kWh and 61 kWh, both based on LFP chemistry supplied by BYD. The larger pack is expected to deliver a range of around 500 km. Both 2WD and AWD variants will be available, with the AWD version offering Eco, Normal, Sport, and Snow drive modes.
    Production Constraints and Ramp-Up Plan
Due to global supply disruptions, especially related to rare earth mineral exports from China, Maruti has revised its production target from 26,512 to around 8,221 units between April and September 2025. However, production is expected to ramp up significantly from October, aiming to hit 67,000 units by March 2026.
Maruti eVitara Electric SUV Black Colour
    Launch Timeline and Bookings
The eVitara will be launched later this year, with production and exports managed through Maruti’s Gujarat plant, which will also produce the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, a badge-engineered version of the same vehicle. Bookings in India are expected to begin closer to the launch window.
With these new undisguised spy shots, it’s clear that Maruti is inching closer to one of its most important product launches ever. The eVitara promises to shake up India’s growing EV SUV space, currently dominated by Tata, Hyundai, and MG. Stay tuned for more updates, including interior shots and official specs, as the launch draws nearer.

Bajaj Avenger Street 220 To Launch In India Again – Homologation Done

2023 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street – Image for reference onlyBajaj Auto, one of the leading 2W and 3W manufacturers in India and among the leading electric scooter manufacturers, is about to open a new flank on its siege to dominate India’s cruiser motorcycle segment. We’re talking about the Avenger sub brand, which is set to witness the re-launch of Avenger 220 Street.
The company has homologated the Avenger 220 Street for the Indian market and is likely to launch soon. Homologation documents of Bajaj Avenger 220 Street have been leaked online, showing some crucial specs and features of this soon-to-re-launch cruiser motorcycle. Let’s take a closer look.
    Bajaj Avenger Street 220
Currently, Bajaj is only offering two versions of Avenger – Avenger Street and Avenger Cruise. Avenger Street only comes with a 160cc engine and Avenger Cruise only comes with a 220cc engine. That will change soon as Bajaj is launching Avenger 220 Street in India, as it was recently homologated.
As seen in the homologation documents, Avenger 220 Cruise is positioned as the base model and Avenger 220 Street is listed as a variant. It has a gross weight of 310 kg, wheelbase of 1,490 mm, width of 806 mm, length of 2,210 mm and a height of 1,070 mm. Avenger 220 Street is slightly shorter than 220 Cruise as it misses out on the tall windshield.
Bajaj Avenger 220 Street Launch Soon
Launch is likely to happen soon and it will be positioned below Avenger 220 Cruise which is priced at Rs 1.48 lakh (Ex-sh). In comparison, Avenger 220 Street might be priced around Rs 1.4 lakh (Ex-sh) or even lower to achieve a striking price tag. It could boost sales for Avenger brand, which stood at just over a thousand units in April 2025 with a 46% YoY decline in sales.
    What’s new?
While both (Street and Cruise) are textbook cruisers with their low-slung seat, forward-set foot pegs and a pulled back handlebar with a high rake angle for sofa-like comfort, there are major differences. Street gets stealthier colours and an overall blackened finish and misses out on touring-friendly equipment offered with Cruise.
Speaking of, Avenger 220 Cruise gets an overdose of chrome, classic colourways, a tall windshield, rear pillion backrest and more. Bajaj Avenger Street 220 will be powered by the same oil-cooled SOHC 2V/cyl single-cylinder 220cc engine as Avenger 220 Cruise with 19.03 PS of peak power and 17.55 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
2023 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street – Image for reference only
If we take the lower end of cruiser segment in India, we have Kawasaki’s W175, TVS Ronin and the Bajaj Avenger. Of these, Bajaj Avenger is the only offering that is a proper textbook cruiser. However, it is not a popular lineup in India and is often under-appreciated despite the unrivalled comfort it has to offer. More

Hero Vida VX2 Electric Scooter Launch On July 1 with Battery-as-a-Service Model

New Hero Vida VX2 EV TeaserHero MotoCorp is set to launch its latest electric scooter, the VIDA VX2, on July 1, 2025. The new model will introduce a pioneering Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model under the VIDA brand, aiming to make electric two-wheelers more accessible by reducing upfront ownership costs.
Flexible Subscription Plans and Lower Entry Cost
VIDA’s BaaS model will allow customers to pay for the battery on a subscription basis, separating the cost of the scooter chassis and battery. This ‘pay-as-you-go’ format is expected to bring down the initial purchase price and offer flexible monthly plans tailored to individual usage. Hero MotoCorp aims to encourage wider EV adoption through this more affordable and flexible ownership model.
    Hero Vida VX2 Teaser
    Charging and Service Infrastructure
VIDA customers will benefit from a growing nationwide ecosystem, including over 3,600 fast-charging stations and more than 500 service points across 100+ cities. This expansive network is intended to offer convenience and ease of ownership to new EV buyers.
About VIDA VX2 – A Rebadged and More Affordable Version of Vida Z
The upcoming VIDA VX2 has been spied undisguised ahead of its launch. It is effectively a rebadged version of the Vida Z, which was showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo. The VX2 will sit below the Vida V2 lineup and is expected to be available in multiple variants – likely Lite, Plus, and Pro – similar to the existing Vida V2.

Visually, the VX2 features matte yellow paint, LED projector headlamps, LED tail lights, LED sequential turn indicators, and 12-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The VX2 also gets a front disc brake but comes with a physical key slot instead of a smart key system, which is standard on the V2.
Feature Reductions Compared to Vida V2
While it maintains some premium elements, the VX2 makes a few feature compromises to keep costs down. It has a smaller, likely TFT instrument screen instead of a touchscreen unit and uses simpler body panels. The VX2 also comes with a single-piece seat, as opposed to the split seat seen on the Vida V2.
Despite fewer features, the VX2 is expected to offer the same removable battery architecture as the Vida V2, with capacity options between 2.2 kWh and 3.9 kWh. The claimed range could go up to 165 km depending on the variant.
    Target Pricing and Market Positioning
The VIDA VX2 is expected to start around Rs 65,000 (effective ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable electric scooters in Hero MotoCorp’s portfolio. With its launch, the company aims to tap into the budget-conscious urban commuter segment and further push the adoption of electric mobility in India. Hero MotoCorp will reveal full details about the VIDA VX2 and its BaaS subscription plans on July 1, 2025. More

    Triumph Speed T4 Baja Orange
According to Triumph, this is the first time a 400cc segment motorcycle has been offered with a colourway like Baja Orange. The way it has been executed on Speed T4, this Baja Orange shade sort of reminds us of Baja Orange colour option offered with Scrambler 1200. Similar Baja Orange in a matte shade was offered on Street Triple 765R as well.
With the new Speed T4 Baja Orange colourway, Triumph aims to offer more road presence that exudes a warm appeal. Royal Enfield Scrambler Electric Bike Spied In Ladakh

Royal Enfield Scrambler Electric SpiedThe iconic motorcycle manufacturer, Royal Enfield, has been stepping up its game in electric motorcycle segment. After Himalayan Electric and Himalayan 750 test mules, both Flying Flea C6 and S6 have been spied during altitude testing. With these latest spy shots, let’s take a closer look at Flying Flea S6, which is the Scrambler version of this bike.
Flying Flea S6 Scrambler – Royal Enfield Scrambler Electric
Royal Enfield has been taking significant steps towards the realm of electric motorcycles. Known for its nostalgic design and thump of its long-stroke engines, Royal Enfield is working on an electric version of Himalayan and then an entirely new range of urban electric bikes called Flying Flea.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler
Flying Flea S6 is a Scrambler style motorcycle while Flying Flea C6 is more of a neo-retro style machine. Both these machines made their global debut at 2024 EICMA Show and are slated to launch in 2026. Both machines are positioned on Royal Enfield’s upcoming L Platform, which will spawn lightweight urban electric bikes.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler
When compared to C6, Flying Flea S6 Scrambler bears similar design and body panels. The main differences can be seen in terms of components as S6 ditches Girder forks in favour of USD telescopic front forks. Front mudguard is also high-set and it gets wire-spoke wheels wrapped with dual-sport tyres with block pattern. Both C6 and S6 gets rear mono-shock suspension.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler
    What to expect?
These spy shots suggest that Flying Flea S6 Scrambler is close to production-spec version, which was not the case with Himalayan Electric. We can see a lot of use of aluminium in S6 and C6 in their mainframe, subframe, swingarm, rear grab rails, heel plates and many other. This particular test mule had a split pillion seat too, wrapped with Brown seat cover.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler
Strapped to pillion seat was a AC charging cable with a high-viz Orange shade. Final version will likely get a more polished provision for storing the charging cable. Where features are concerned, Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 seems to get the same Tripper Dash instrument cluster with Google Maps support along with snazzy-looking switchgear. So, no touchscreen.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler
We can also see a button on fuel tank (not really a fuel tank), which could be a Start/Stop button. This suggests keyless go feature, which is a first for any Royal Enfield. Powertrain details are not known yet and are likely to be revealed in the coming months. An exact launch timeline is not known yet. But 2026 is the speculated year when we can get our hands on one.
