In comparison, existing Himalayan 411 has a kerb weight of 199 kg. New Himalayan is longer and wider, measuring 2,245 mm and 852 mm, respectively. With handguards, the width will increase to 900 mm.Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 ColoursWheelbase is also longer at 1,510 mm, as compared to 1,465 mm of Himalayan 411. However, new Himalayan is shorter at 1,316 mm, compared to 1,370 mm of existing Himalayan. But if the tall screen is installed, new Himalayan will be 1,415 mm in height. New colours of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 have been spied. These are dual tone Golden Black and Grey Red.As compared to the flatbed type structure of the existing model, all-new Himalayan 452 has a bow-like arched profile. This is expected to have tangible benefits in ride quality and overall performance. Exactly how much of a difference it makes will only be known when one gets to ride the new Himalayan 452. Especially when it’s compared to ‘450′ that sounds quite generic and bland. The new engine generates 40 hp of peak power, way higher than 24.3 hp of the existing model. RPM is also higher at 8,000 revolutions per minute. This will ensure a range of benefits such as higher top speed, improved throttle response and enhanced cruising capabilities.Similar performance numbers can be seen with Triumph Speed 400, although it is not a direct rival to Himalayan 452. In terms of engine architecture, Himalayan 452 is expected to continue with the SOHC setup for the valve train. In comparison, Triumph has utilized a DOHC setup for Speed 400. Triumph has also launched the 400X scrambler. It is possible that a Triumph ADV version could be launched in future to directly rival new Himalayan 450. That battle will be quite intense and exciting to witness.New Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 could be launched at around Rs 3 lakh. Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X are based on TR Series 398 cc single-cylinder engine that generates 40 PS of peak power and 37.5 Nm of peak torque.This is a modern powertrain that features liquid cooling, a DOHC setup, a 4V head, a slipper clutch, ride-by-wire, a 6-speed gearbox and more. Some of the key highlights include raised front beak, round headlamp, round rear view mirrors, large windscreen, wide handlebar, new sculpted fuel tank, side luggage rack and compact exhaust.Users can expect optimal comfort on longer rides, as Himalayan 450 is equipped with a pretty large rider seat. It has thick foam padding and relevant bevels to support the thighs. To make longer journeys more convenient, Himalayan 450 is expected to offer a range of luggage accessories. At the rear, the bike has a dedicated rack for a top box. The bike enjoys sort of a monopoly, being a proper off-roader at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-sh). The Xpulse 200 4V Pro brings even more off-road-worthy kit at Rs 1.52 lakh (ex-sh). Xpulse 200 is currently the most successful bike in the company’s premium range. Recently launched Karizma XMR has also been receiving positive feedback from enthusiasts. Combining the two would make a tonne of sense.That is exactly what Hero seems to be doing. In the spy video, we can see a new ADV motorcycle with an identical body and componentry as Xpulse 200 4V on sale, but with a brand new engine. We can see a liquid-cooled setup with two channels leading to its two overhead camshafts. Hero only has one liquid-cooled DOHC engine, which is on Karizma XMR.As Xpulse is already popular, Hero could be looking to introduce a better version of the bike. It has similar features and components as Xpulse 200 4V such as a raised front beak, round LED headlamp with ‘H’ insignia, a long-travel suspension setup and knobby dual-purpose tyres. It sports a similar stubby exhaust as Karizma XMR as well.Some of the key highlights of this upcoming Hero Xtreme 210 include fat road-biased tyres, alloy wheels, USD telescopic front forks, a wide handlebar, a sculpted fuel tank with muscular tank shrouds and a split seat design. As of now, it remains a mystery.A fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth-based connectivity features will be part of both test mules. We’re talking about Royal Enfield Bobber 350 which will probably be the most expensive 350cc RE in the portfolio when launched. It is an adaptation of its best-selling Classic 350. It lacks proper Bobber attributes like an extended wheelbase and is highly likely to just be a design exercise. In this regard, Jawa has done a pretty good job with Perak and 42 Bobber. Both of these are proper Bobber motorcycles and not regular bikes with tall handlebars.Recent spy shots show Bobber 350 up close. We can see Royal Enfield is playing the retro card. We’re talking about white-walled tyres (or teal-coloured tyre walls) that scream retro and pay tribute to one of the standout elements of vehicles of the past.Royal Enfield Bobber 350It will probably get a single seat as standard with a pillion seat version as an option and offer a pillion seat as an accessory too. Buying either Bullet 350 or Classic 350 and installing Bobber 350’s handlebar could yield similar results as Bobber 350. Just saying. Side body panels, headlights, instrument cluster, switchgear, and everything are similar to Classic 350.Royal Enfield Bobber 350What is different between Bobber 350 and Classic 350?Wheelbase looks identical to that of Classic 350 along with fuel tank and body panels. The differences between the upcoming Bobber 350 and Classic 350 single-seater are with headlights, handlebars, seating, tyres and exhaust. Bobber 350 packs a slightly taller handlebar that is reminiscent of Bobber-style motorcycles.Seating is slightly different too with pillion seats being small and uncomfortable for long rides. It is to be noted that Royal Enfield is likely to offer Bobber 350 with a more comfortable pillion seat option as seen in previous spy shots. Pillion seat in recent spy shot seem to be an accessory. Exhaust has slightly different tips and the headlights are now LEDs.RSU telescopic front forks, dual rear shock absorbers, single disc brake setup at both ends, dual-channel ABS, wire-spoke wheels, and analogue instrument cluster, are similar to the ones seen with other Royal Enfield bikes.
