Hyundai Ioniq 5 Electric Car Spied In India – Getting Transported On Trucks

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Electric CarImport units of the Ioniq 5 have been spotted in the Burdwan District of West BengalThe Eastern part of the country gets to witness multiple new car models being transported through its roads. This is because the road network there helps with the connectivity for some of the neighbouring land-locked countries. In the past too, we have seen models like the Toyota Hilux, 2022 Hyundai Tucson etc being transported through West Bengal or other neighbouring states. Most of these models are import units for neighbouring countries like Nepal or Bhutan, which don’t have any car manufacturing plant.Recently, import units of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car were spotted on the NH 2, near the Burdwan District of West Bengal. In all likelihood, these were units which will get sold in one of the neighbouring countries, which don’t have access to a direct sea port. Hat tip to automotive enthusiast Chirag Mitra for sharing the exclusive spy shots.2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Electric CarTalking about the Ioniq 5, it had made its global debut around a year ago in Feb’21. It is the first Hyundai model which is based on its Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Interestingly, the electric SUV recently received a facelift for the European markets. 2022MY brought in minor updates to the exteriors and the powertrain too.2022 Hyundai IONIQ5 In IndiaThe 2022 Ioniq 5 draws power from a 77.4 kWh battery pack, which is slightly larger than the 72.6 kWh battery set-up which was found on the 2021 model. The pre-facelift model had a claimed range of 485 kms however the new model should be capable to cross the 500 kms mark easily.Other new features on the 2022 Ioniq 5 include introduction of optional digital mirrors, which were initially offered only in South Korean market earlier. The 2 optional mirror sets include a Digital Centre Mirror (DCM) which provides an unobstructed, panoramic rear facing view of the car. The Digital Side Mirrors (DSM) reduce air resistance and provides the driver with an enhanced rear view even in bad weather. The 2022 model has also received Smart Frequency Dampers (SFD), which improves ride comfort and handling.2022 Hyundai IONIQ5 In IndiaCurrently, there are reports which suggest that Hyundai might bring the Ioniq 5 to the country, mostly via the CBU route. Being a CBU, the Ioniq 5 might be priced at a premium, thanks to the duties and taxes. If brought to the country, the Ioniq 5 will be launched with the intent to strengthen Hyundai’s presence in the Electric mobility segment and not essentially as a number churner for the OEM’s top-line.Hyundai India’s Way AheadHyundai India is currently under considerable pressure as its position as the second largest OEM of the country is under threat. Homegrown automaker, Tata Motors has been posting record increase in its sales and eyeing the coveted number 2 spot which Hyundai has maintained for the last decade or so.Hyundai India has some aggressive plans to bring in multiple updates to its line-up this year, through which it would want to hold on to the second spot. Some of the confirmed updates include a facelifted Creta and Venue, New gen Tucson and the updated Kona. Hyundai has also plans to launch new electric cars for India. This is likely to include Venue Electric, Creta Electric, and many more. More

2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 Brochure Leaks New Details

Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411Scram 411 will appeal to users looking for a road-biased machine that can tackle city streets, highways and some mild off-roadsIn its current form, Royal Enfield Himalayan is not the type of bike that suffices for normal commuting needs. To improve its usability without losing its core Adv character, Royal Enfield is working on a toned-down version of Himalayan. The new 400cc bike has been spotted multiple times on road tests, revealing its features and capabilities. This new Himalayan variant will be called Scram 411. This has now been confirmed via leaked brochure scans, credit to youtube channel Bullet Guru. Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 official accessories like t-shirts, keychains have also arrived at dealership.Royal Enfield Scram 411 featuresScram 411 has the same basic silhouette as that of Himalayan. It continues using the retro theme, as evident in round headlamp and rear-view mirrors. Other things like fork gaiters, design of fuel tank, wide handlebar, chassis, split seats and upswept exhaust are quite the same as Himalayan. For its road-biased transformation, a number of parts have been removed. For example, Scram 411 does not have the dedicated racks at front and rear. It gets compact-sized tank shrouds at front and single piece grab rail at rear.Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 vs HimalayanAnother key change is the use of a smaller 19-inch front wheel, as compared to 21-inch unit currently used with Himalayan. The bike is still capable of some off-roading, as it continues using wire-spoked wheels shod with dual-purpose tyres. At the front, Scram 411 misses out on windscreen and raised front fender. Shape of turn indicators is expected to be different, as compared to that of Himalayan. There could be some other minor variations to the overall styling of the bike. For a unique identity, some new colour options can be introduced for Scram 411.As reduced pricing could be one of the objectives, Scram 411 could get an updated instrument console without Tripper navigation system. As may be recalled, Tripper was added to Himalayan earlier this year in February. For users who need it, Tripper may be offered as an accessory with Scram 411.Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 FeaturesRoyal Enfield Scram 411 engine and specsEngine will be the same 411cc unit currently in use with Himalayan. The air cooled, single cylinder, SOHC motor generates 24.3 bhp of max power and 32 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It is possible that the engine may be retuned slightly in-line with the needs of a road-biased motorcycle.Much of the hardware will be same such as telescopic front forks and monoshock suspension at rear. Suspension could be made stiffer for better on-road performance. Scram 411 will have disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard. Himalayan has 300 mm and 240 mm disc at front and rear, respectively.[embedded content][embedded content]Launch is expected to take place later this month. Dealer training has started. It will be sold in India, as well as global markets as a Triumph. Bajaj will be manufacturing the motorcycle at their plant near Pune.[embedded content][embedded content]Make In India BenefitsThe Bajaj-Triumph joint venture has been one of the most talked about partnerships in the Indian automotive market in recent times. The project has seen its fair share of delays which further got extended due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. But with businesses resuming full throttle, the JV is now looking forward to developing its first project for India.Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle Spied – LED headlights, USD forks at front, alloys, disc brakes, dual ABS, monoshock at rearThe main objective of the iconic British bike maker through this tie-up is to build more accessible ‘Triumph’ branded motorcycles in India. As per original plan, the first of new 250cc-750cc Triumph motorcycles were to be unveiled by 2022. However, the plans have been delayed due to the pandemic. A key factor is that Bajaj has a strong presence in both domestic and international markets. Plus, it has experience working with global brands like KTM, Husqvarna and Kawasaki.According to Perkins, the two companies have matching family-oriented leadership values and principles. Both teams are passionate about what they do and have displayed a high level of focus and commitment.Source More
