New-gen Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is expected to be launched sometime early next year2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 New GenRoyal Enfield is currently in a transition phase where it is updating older models for new ones. While Meteor 350 came in to replace the Thunderbird range at the end of 2020, the new-gen Classic replaced the older generation model last year. Both new models are based on a 350cc platform that utilises a new J-series engine.Soon this new platform and engine combination will also be seen in the upcoming Hunter 350 as well has been spied frequently during its testing phase. Another motorcycle that will be employing this combo will be the new-gen Bullet 350 and a test mule of the same has been spotted for the time.2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 New Gen SpiedDevelopment of the new-gen Bullet has been in the news very often but until now there has been no proof of it. The latest spy spics are the first confirmation about the bike’s development. On seeing recent spy shots, one can immediately notice various differences in detail when compared to the existing Bullet 350. The biggest highlight is a double-cradle frame holding the engine as a stressed member, unlike the current model which features a single downtube frame.2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 New GenConstruction and casing of the engine are similar to Meteor and new-gen Classic with a new-gen J-series engine taking over from the outgoing UCE (unified construction engine) unit. Other than this there are some subtle yet significant visual updates.2023 Bullet 350 – Visual HighlightsFor instance, the testing prototype is seen with a new headlamp and taillamp which is starkly similar to Classic Reborn. It gets a new headlamp encasing as well which is embellished in chrome. It gets a brand new single-piece seat although the padding seems similar to the split-style seats in the new Classic. Front and rear fenders will also be different units from their predecessor.Speaking of the seat, the rider saddle gets a nice kink which should be proper lumbar support to the rider’s tailbone. New-gen Bullet gets a similar handlebar which is taller and more pulled towards the rider than the one in Classic Reborn. In addition, it features circular rearview mirrors also dipped in chrome.2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 New GenIt will be interesting to see if Royal Enfield offers a kick start with the new-gen Bullet 350 since many purists love the feel of a kick start. Majority of Bullet buyers are such purists, however, the new J series engine in Meteor and Classic doesn’t come with a kick start. For a long time, this segment has been dominated by Royal Enfield. But in recent years, the Chennai-based bikemaker has faced challenges from new arrivals in this space including Benelli, Jawa, Honda and Yezdi. That said, Royal Enfield still commands bulk of the market share in the segment of motorcycles with engine displacements ranging within 250cc and 750cc. To negate competition from other brands, Royal Enfield is developing a plethora of new models which will be hitting showrooms in coming months.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Exhaust NoteOne of the most promising upcoming products from Royal Enfield is Hunter 350 which has been spotted testing on numerous occasions in recent months. Royal Enfield SG650 Shotgun 650cc Bobber – New Spy Shots

Royal Enfield SG650 Shotgun 650cc BobberAt the time of its unveil at 2021 EICMA, Royal Enfield had described SG650 concept as the link between its past and futureThe SG650 concept was truly stunning in its design and form and had attracted significant footfall at last year’s EICMA. Production version of SG650 has been spied on test in India once again. It indicates that the bike could be launched soon. The latest spy shots give an up-close look at the upcoming Royal Enfield 650cc bobber, which is expected to be called as Shotgun 650 upon launch. Spy shots reveal that the production-spec SG650 doesn’t deviate too much from the concept. Royal Enfield SG650 Shotgun 650cc BobberA single-seat bobber, Royal Enfield SG650 leans on neo-retro styling. It looks different and yet carries the signature design aesthetics associated with Royal Enfield bikes. While the concept had full freedom to experiment, the production variant looks more relevant in practical terms. For example, funky bar-end mirrors seen with SG650 concept have been replaced with standard-looking units on production variant. SG650 concept had various other unique aspects such as CNC billet machined fuel tank and wheels, bespoke designed brake callipers, glossy aluminium switch cubes, hand stitched black leather seat and futuristic graphics. The production version of SG650 will have a relatively toned-down profile.Royal Enfield SG650 Shotgun 650cc BobberAs revealed in spy shots, SG650 has round headlamp and rear-view mirrors, wide low-set handlebar, centrally placed foot pegs, single floating-type seat, large front radiator and dual exhaust. At the rear, the bike is expected to get broad fender and round tail lamp. Riding stance is similar to that of Classic 350, which is quite comfortable.Royal Enfield SG650 engine and specsTo reduce development and production cost, SG650 will share much of its hardware with 650 twins (Interceptor and Continental GT). Engine will be the same, a 648cc, parallel twin, air/oil-cooled unit that generates 47 hp of max power at 7,150 rpm and 52 Nm of peak torque at 5,250 rpm. It is mated to a constant mesh 6-speed transmission.Suspension system on-board SG650 will have USD forks at front and twin coil-over shocks at rear. It will have 320mm and 240mm disc brakes at front and rear, respectively, integrated with dual-channel ABS as standard.Royal Enfield SG650 Shotgun 650cc BobberSG650 is expected to get a semi-digital instrument console with Tripper navigation display on the right. Bluetooth-based connectivity features are also likely to be offered as standard with the bike.In the company’s line-up, SG650 will be positioned above 650 twins. It could also be the new flagship motorcycle from Royal Enfield. It is to note that the company is working on around three more 650cc motorcycles. It includes Super Meteor 650 and a true-blue cruiser bike.Just like 350cc segment, Royal Enfield has plans to saturate the 650cc space as well. The strategy will ensure better engagement with target audience and help fend-off rivals. More

New KTM 390 Enduro Adventure Motorcycle Spied Testing

2023 KTM 390 Enduro21-inch front wheel, off-road tyres, new swing-arm mean businessKTM’s 390 Duke platform has been a cash cow since its birth and the two wheeler giant is not done milking it yet. In its second generation, the modular platform spawned an adventure tourer in addition to also underpinning Husqvarna products. Recent spy shots from Europe strongly indicate that the Austrian brand is working on a hard-core 390 off roader.KTM 390 Enduro – What’s new?Likely to be called KTM 390 Enduro, the new derivative appears to be in the early stages of development as evident by the maturity level of the prototype. The bodywork and equipment are tentative but they give a fairly decent idea on where KTM is going with this model. Having given shape to street fighter, supersports and adventure versions, a hard-core off-roader would nicely round off things.A close look reveals that the KTM 390 Enduro retains the trademark trellis frame. The rear sub-frame too has a familiar air to it but a new swing arm, 21-inch front spoke wheel, off-road tyres and sturdy belly highlight the motorcycle’s serious off-road intent. The shield for the inverted front forks further adds to the Enduro character. Both front and rear wheels are retarded by a disc each (mostly likely supported by switchable dual-channel ABS) We expect the prototype to evolve significantly as it inches closer to production ready state.KTM 390 EnduroThe signature Duke LED headlamp will be a part of the final design but with a sorted out mounting and fairing panels. The TFT colour instrument console is also likely to be on board. To be made in India?Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant has been the home base of KTM’s compact and medium displacement family of products including the 390 series. We don’t see why this winning approach would change as far the new model is concerned. While Europe and USA are expected to be the primary markets for the KTM 390 Enduro, we think it could be an interesting proposition for India as well. We don’t have a purpose-built hard-core off-roader in the medium displacement category at the moment and a well-priced offering carrying the KTM badge would evoke a lot of excitement among the Indian enthusiasts.KTM 390 EnduroKTM 390 Enduro Launch When?As we mentioned, the KTM 390 Enduro still has a long way to go before it can hit the road. However, given that it is a derivative of a well-established platform, we expect the turnaround time to be relatively shorter. We reckon it will be ready by late 2023 or early 2024.Given the kind of beefing up required to endure serious off-roading, the upcoming model is likely to be the most expensive member of the 390 family. And, KTM may not just stop with one displacement option! A 250 could also be on the cards but let’s not speculate too much too early.Source More

Royal Enfield Classic 650cc Spied – LED Headlight, Dual Tone Alloys

Royal Enfield Classic 650cc Spied – Alloys, LED HeadlightRoyal Enfield will be launching multiple derivates of the 650cc platform in the coming few months which includes a cruiser, a roadster and a bobberRoyal Enfield has various new upcoming projects on its plate and most of them are undergoing the testing phase. By now, we have clearly established that the iconic brand is developing multiple derivatives of a 650cc Twin with a low-slung cruiser stance. To be precise, the Chennai-based bikemaker is planning to launch 3 bikes in this space. The first one in this range is a cruiser which could be named Super Meteor 650 since the ‘Meteor’ branding is used by Royal Enfield for its cruiser offering in the 350cc category. The second one is a single-seat bobber tentatively titled Shotgun 650 which could be based on the SG650 Concept. The latter made its maiden appearance at the last edition of EICMA in Milan, Italy. The last derivative of the 650cc model appears to be a modern classic roadster which could be a more premium and powerful equivalent of Classic 350. Probably, this version will be named Classic 650. Judging by all the recent spy shots, all three motorcycles have very similar styling.Royal Enfield Classic 650cc – Design &amp, ErgonomicsLike most Royal Enfield models, all upcoming 650cc motorcycles flaunt a retro design template commonly associated with the brand. This involves common highlights such as a round headlight and taillight, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, broad front and rear fenders, dual exhaust pipes and mufflers, and a low-slung cruiser-like stance. However, all three bikes are expected to offer different riding experiences.Royal Enfield Classic 650cc SpiedFor instance, in the latest set of spy shots, the footpegs are centre-set and the handlebar is set slightly lower which gives it a slightly committed yet comfortable riding posture. The cruiser offering in this space gets forward-set footpegs with taller handlebars which provide relaxed riding ergonomics.Further, the shape of exhaust canisters in the latest spy pics resembles the one used in Classic 350. It is seen with dual tone alloys, LED headlights and tail lamps. Instrument cluster is similar to new Royal Enfield motorcycles with digital / analogue console along with Tripper Navigation.Hardware & Powertrain SetupThat said, all three motorcycles will be based on the same platform which currently underpins the 650 Twins- Interceptor and Continental GT. The latest test prototype was seen rolling on alloy wheels whereas other iterations of the RE 650 were seen riding on wire-spoked wheels.Royal Enfield Classic 650cc SpiedSuspension duties will be handled by upside-down or upright forks (depending on the variant) at front and twin shock absorbers at rear. Powering Classic 650 will be a familiar 648cc parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine which propels the current 650 Twins. This motor kicks out 47 bhp and 52 Nm of peak torque while being paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper and assist clutch. However, tuning and power delivery of the engine could be different in all models. More clarity on the upcoming 650cc models is expected in the coming few months. More

Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411Royal Enfield is expected to launch Scram 411 in coming days at a starting price just below Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom)Royal Enfield presently has multiple products in development. These are scheduled to launch in the coming months. The next big launch from the Chennai-based bikemaker is Scram 411 which is essentially a road-friendly version of Himlayan. First units have now arrived at dealer showrooms.Test mules of Scram 411 have been spied on numerous occasions in recent times. Recently, a few crucial details regarding the upcoming scrambler had been leaked on the internet. Ahead of its launch, which is expected in a few days, the bike has been spied in new colours of Red and White as well as Red and Black. As customary with any Royal Enfield launch, apparel of the upcoming Scram 411 including T-shirts, key chains, etc. have started reaching dealerships ahead of its market launch. The latest spy shots reveal the undisguised avatar of Scram 411. The design is evidently similar to its more adventure-friendly sibling- Himalayan on which it is based.RE Himalayan Scram 411 – DesignFor starters, Scram 411 gets the same body and basic silhouette as Himlayan with a hint of retro styling. Components such as round headlight, rearview mirrors, wide handlebar, fork gaiters and sculpted fuel tank have been carried forward from Himalayan. One major variation from the off-road Himalayan is that the road-biased Scram gets a single-piece seat instead of split seats.RE Himalayan Scram 411Also, the black headlamp casing has been molded from cast iron which gives it a distinct appearance. It also doesn’t feature a tall windscreen upfront which is offered as standard in Himalayan. The latter also receives a small luggage rack as standard at the rear which is replaced by a simple single-piece grab rail. Scram 411 also features an urban badge plate on both sides of the fuel tank with its branding which lends the bike a distinct appeal.Turn indicators in the upcoming bike appear to be of a slightly different shape. While both motorcycles feature a similar side-slung upswept exhaust, the canister in Scram gets a slightly different look. Like Himalayan, Scram 411 also rides on wire-spoked wheels which adds to the retro charm Royal Enfield is known for.Hardware, Engine SpecsHowever, while Himalayan gets a 21-inch front wheel, Scram receives a 19-inch front unit due to road-friendly dynamics. Speaking of dynamics, the same suspension setup used in Himalayan comprising telescopic forks at front and a mono-shock at rear is likely to be offered but with different travel settings. The wheels are wrapped around by block pattern, dual-purpose tyres which should be good enough for some soft-roading.RE Himalayan Scram 411Braking duties will be handled by 300 mm and 240 mm discs at front and rear respectively aided by a dual-channel ABS as standard. Powering Scram will be the same 411cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC engine that propels Himalayan. This motor kicks out 24.3 bhp and 32 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. However, power and torque delivery is expected to be tuned slightly differently for road-biased mannerisms.Source More

One of these is a 350cc scrambler. Although an official announcement has not been made, Royal Enfield’s new 350cc scrambler is likely to be named as Hunter 350. This name has already been registered in India.RE Hunter 350 styling and featuresMost of the existing Royal Enfield 350cc bikes have a lot of bulk, which helps create a strong street presence. Hunter 350 is different in that it is relatively much compact. It will be a lot more fun to ride on busy city streets, as compared to its beefier 350cc siblings like Classic 350 and Meteor 350.For the scrambler look and feel and ride experience, Hunter 350 has received a thorough trimming all across. Fenders have been shortened, seat is a slimmer single piece unit and exhaust gets compact and stubbier. Side profile is all skeletal and even the utility boxes are seamlessly integrated without any unsightly protruding bits.Even with the changes, Hunter continues with the core retro DNA of Royal Enfield motorcycles. Other key features include fork gaiters and spoke-styled alloy wheels.New Royal Enfield Hunter 350Users can expect a comfortable, upright riding stance with Hunter 350. 2022 Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Cruiser Spied – Fully Loaded

2022 Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650cc / Shotgun / Cruiser – Golden ForksRoyal Enfield could be launching three new motorcycles under the 650cc motorcycle lineup – Starting with Super Meteor 650Thanks to multiple test mules spied in India and abroad, it has already been established that Royal Enfield is planning to expand its 650cc lineup. This RE segment of motorcycles currently houses two models- Interceptor and Continental GT.We also know that there are going to be multiple versions of the upcoming 650cc motorcycle from the Chennai-based manufacturer. The question arises, how many more iterations of the 650cc platform will we see in the future. It is likely that there are going to be three iterations of the 650cc models. These will be Cruiser 650, Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. All three bikes will offer a low-slung cruiser-like stance with a long wheelbase and classic retro styling but the motorcycles will differ in their riding stance and characteristics. Let us look how this trio could be differentiated among themselves.2022 Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 TourerSuper Meteor will be very closely linked to Cruiser 650 as it borrows part of its name from the brand’s current 350cc cruiser- Meteor. In fact, after reports of ‘Super Meteor’ name being trademarked by Royal Enfield surfaced on the internet, it was speculated that Super Meteor 650 and Cruiser 650 could actually be the same motorcycle. However, we could spot noticeable differences in latest spy shots.2022 Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650cc / Shotgun / Cruiser – Silver ForksThe most prominent difference is the riding posture which features a slightly lower-set handlebar which leads to a slightly committed posture with centre-set footpegs. The rider triangle will be different in this case with the less angular distance between the steering and front suspension. Hence, the wheelbase is also expected to be slightly shorter.New spy shots of the RE Super Meteor 650 were clicked somewhere in the UK. These show the motorcycle in production ready stance. There are three different test mules, which can be differentiated by the front forks. One is wearing silver forks, the other has golden while the third one has black. All three RE 650cc test mules are fully loaded with touring accessories.Expected engine, hardware specsHowever, other than the ergonomic variations all three motorcycles will be the same underneath the skin. This includes the same 648cc parallel-twin motor which pumps out 47 bhp at 7150rpm and 52 Nm at 5250rpm in the current 650 Twins. However, in the upcoming bikes, the power figures or power delivery could be altered to suit their nature. It is mated to a constant-mesh 6-speed gearbox.2022 Royal Enfield Cruiser 650 – USD ForksCycle parts of all three upcoming bikes will be identical to each other. Suspension setup will consist of a pair of upside-down forks or standard forks at front and twin shock absorbers at rear. Braking duties include single disc brakes at both ends with ByBre callipers aided by a dual-channel ABS as standard. All three bikes should feature the Tripper NAvigation pod for turn-by-turn navigation.Cruiser 650This will be a proper cruiser motorcycle in a similar line with cruisers from Harley Davison and Indian Motorcycles. It will have the longest wheelbase among the three bikes with a greater angle between steering and front suspension. This will also affect the rider’s triangle which will offer very relaxed riding ergonomics with a pulled-back handlebar, forward-set footpegs and a low seat.Shotgun 650As mentioned earlier, Shotgun 650 is likely to be based on the SG650 Concept which is a single-seater bobber. Like Meteor 350, it is expected to offer a low-set handlebar with a slightly committed ride posture. However, the most striking difference will be the sole rider’s seat. Other small differences could be shorter front and rear fenders and bar-end mirrors.Source More
