The latest spy spics are the first confirmation about the bike’s development.On seeing recent spy shots, one can immediately notice various differences in detail when compared to the existing Bullet 350. The biggest highlight is a double-cradle frame holding the engine as a stressed member, unlike the current model which features a single downtube frame.2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 New GenConstruction and casing of the engine are similar to Meteor and new-gen Classic with a new-gen J-series engine taking over from the outgoing UCE (unified construction engine) unit. But in recent years, the Chennai-based bikemaker has faced challenges from new arrivals in this space including Benelli, Jawa, Honda and Yezdi.That said, Royal Enfield still commands bulk of the market share in the segment of motorcycles with engine displacements ranging within 250cc and 750cc. To negate competition from other brands, Royal Enfield is developing a plethora of new models which will be hitting showrooms in coming months.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Exhaust NoteOne of the most promising upcoming products from Royal Enfield is Hunter 350 which has been spotted testing on numerous occasions in recent months. The retro classic roadster has been spied testing yet again. A video of the same has been uploaded on YouTube by Power Stroke PS that also captures the bike’s exhaust note.By the looks of it, the motorcycle looks almost production-ready with finished body panels. As usual with most Royal Enfield offerings, Hunter will flaunt a classic retro design with signature styling highlights such as a round headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single-piece seat and a short rear section.[embedded content][embedded content]It features slightly rear-set footpegs in comparison to other 350cc siblings making for a sporty riding stance. An all-black theme on its running gear and internals further accentuates its sporty appeal. Another distinct highlight is a short side-slung upswept exhaust canister which is a first for a Royal Enfield.The video posted above gives a sneak peek of the exhaust note which appears to be raspy. Other visual highlights include split grab rails and circular tail lamp and turn indicators. The test unit seen in the video posted above could be seen with a pillion backrest installed which is expected to be offered as an accessory.Expected Features & Powertrain SpecsComing to features, it is expected to boast a similar set of equipment like its 350cc siblings- Meteor and Classic Reborn. This includes a Tripper Navigation pod that displays turn-by-turn navigation on the instrument console when paired with the Royal Enfield App on a smartphone via Bluetooth. It should also receive a USB charger as standard.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 prices – To be cheaper than Classic and MeteorHunter 350 will be based on the same J1D platform which currently underpins Meteor and new-gen Classic. This chassis will be suspended on 35 mm telescopic forks at front and twin gas-charged shocks at rear. Braking duties will be carried out by single disc brakes on both wheels aided by a dual-channel ABS.Powering Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will be a familiar 349cc single-cylinder air-cooled OHC engine that kicks out 20.2 hp and 27 Nm of peak torque. It indicates that the bike could be launched soon.The latest spy shots give an up-close look at the upcoming Royal Enfield 650cc bobber, which is expected to be called as Shotgun 650 upon launch. Spy shots reveal that the production-spec SG650 doesn’t deviate too much from the concept. Royal Enfield SG650 Shotgun 650cc BobberA single-seat bobber, Royal Enfield SG650 leans on neo-retro styling. It looks different and yet carries the signature design aesthetics associated with Royal Enfield bikes. While the concept had full freedom to experiment, the production variant looks more relevant in practical terms.For example, funky bar-end mirrors seen with SG650 concept have been replaced with standard-looking units on production variant. SG650 concept had various other unique aspects such as CNC billet machined fuel tank and wheels, bespoke designed brake callipers, glossy aluminium switch cubes, hand stitched black leather seat and futuristic graphics. Engine will be the same, a 648cc, parallel twin, air/oil-cooled unit that generates 47 hp of max power at 7,150 rpm and 52 Nm of peak torque at 5,250 rpm. It is mated to a constant mesh 6-speed transmission.Suspension system on-board SG650 will have USD forks at front and twin coil-over shocks at rear. It will have 320mm and 240mm disc brakes at front and rear, respectively, integrated with dual-channel ABS as standard.Royal Enfield SG650 Shotgun 650cc BobberSG650 is expected to get a semi-digital instrument console with Tripper navigation display on the right. Bluetooth-based connectivity features are also likely to be offered as standard with the bike.In the company’s line-up, SG650 will be positioned above 650 twins. In its second generation, the modular platform spawned an adventure tourer in addition to also underpinning Husqvarna products. Recent spy shots from Europe strongly indicate that the Austrian brand is working on a hard-core 390 off roader.KTM 390 Enduro – What’s new?Likely to be called KTM 390 Enduro, the new derivative appears to be in the early stages of development as evident by the maturity level of the prototype. The bodywork and equipment are tentative but they give a fairly decent idea on where KTM is going with this model. Having given shape to street fighter, supersports and adventure versions, a hard-core off-roader would nicely round off things.A close look reveals that the KTM 390 Enduro retains the trademark trellis frame. The rear sub-frame too has a familiar air to it but a new swing arm, 21-inch front spoke wheel, off-road tyres and sturdy belly highlight the motorcycle’s serious off-road intent.The shield for the inverted front forks further adds to the Enduro character. Both front and rear wheels are retarded by a disc each (mostly likely supported by switchable dual-channel ABS) We expect the prototype to evolve significantly as it inches closer to production ready state.KTM 390 EnduroThe signature Duke LED headlamp will be a part of the final design but with a sorted out mounting and fairing panels. The TFT colour instrument console is also likely to be on board.To be made in India?Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant has been the home base of KTM’s compact and medium displacement family of products including the 390 series. We don’t see why this winning approach would change as far the new model is concerned.While Europe and USA are expected to be the primary markets for the KTM 390 Enduro, we think it could be an interesting proposition for India as well. We don’t have a purpose-built hard-core off-roader in the medium displacement category at the moment and a well-priced offering carrying the KTM badge would evoke a lot of excitement among the Indian enthusiasts.KTM 390 EnduroKTM 390 Enduro Launch When?As we mentioned, the KTM 390 Enduro still has a long way to go before it can hit the road. However, given that it is a derivative of a well-established platform, we expect the turnaround time to be relatively shorter. We reckon it will be ready by late 2023 or early 2024.Given the kind of beefing up required to endure serious off-roading, the upcoming model is likely to be the most expensive member of the 390 family. And, KTM may not just stop with one displacement option! A 250 could also be on the cards but let’s not speculate too much too early.Source More

To be precise, the Chennai-based bikemaker is planning to launch 3 bikes in this space.The first one in this range is a cruiser which could be named Super Meteor 650 since the ‘Meteor’ branding is used by Royal Enfield for its cruiser offering in the 350cc category. The second one is a single-seat bobber tentatively titled Shotgun 650 which could be based on the SG650 Concept.The latter made its maiden appearance at the last edition of EICMA in Milan, Italy. The last derivative of the 650cc model appears to be a modern classic roadster which could be a more premium and powerful equivalent of Classic 350. Probably, this version will be named Classic 650. Judging by all the recent spy shots, all three motorcycles have very similar styling.Royal Enfield Classic 650cc – Design &amp, ErgonomicsLike most Royal Enfield models, all upcoming 650cc motorcycles flaunt a retro design template commonly associated with the brand. This involves common highlights such as a round headlight and taillight, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, broad front and rear fenders, dual exhaust pipes and mufflers, and a low-slung cruiser-like stance. However, all three bikes are expected to offer different riding experiences.Royal Enfield Classic 650cc SpiedFor instance, in the latest set of spy shots, the footpegs are centre-set and the handlebar is set slightly lower which gives it a slightly committed yet comfortable riding posture. Ahead of its launch, which is expected in a few days, the bike has been spied in new colours of Red and White as well as Red and Black.As customary with any Royal Enfield launch, apparel of the upcoming Scram 411 including T-shirts, key chains, etc. have started reaching dealerships ahead of its market launch. The latest spy shots reveal the undisguised avatar of Scram 411. The design is evidently similar to its more adventure-friendly sibling- Himalayan on which it is based.RE Himalayan Scram 411 – DesignFor starters, Scram 411 gets the same body and basic silhouette as Himlayan with a hint of retro styling. Components such as round headlight, rearview mirrors, wide handlebar, fork gaiters and sculpted fuel tank have been carried forward from Himalayan. One major variation from the off-road Himalayan is that the road-biased Scram gets a single-piece seat instead of split seats.RE Himalayan Scram 411Also, the black headlamp casing has been molded from cast iron which gives it a distinct appearance. It also doesn’t feature a tall windscreen upfront which is offered as standard in Himalayan. Scram 411 also features an urban badge plate on both sides of the fuel tank with its branding which lends the bike a distinct appeal.Turn indicators in the upcoming bike appear to be of a slightly different shape. While both motorcycles feature a similar side-slung upswept exhaust, the canister in Scram gets a slightly different look. Like Himalayan, Scram 411 also rides on wire-spoked wheels which adds to the retro charm Royal Enfield is known for.Hardware, Engine SpecsHowever, while Himalayan gets a 21-inch front wheel, Scram receives a 19-inch front unit due to road-friendly dynamics. This RE segment of motorcycles currently houses two models- Interceptor and Continental GT.We also know that there are going to be multiple versions of the upcoming 650cc motorcycle from the Chennai-based manufacturer. The question arises, how many more iterations of the 650cc platform will we see in the future. It is likely that there are going to be three iterations of the 650cc models.These will be Cruiser 650, Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. All three bikes will offer a low-slung cruiser-like stance with a long wheelbase and classic retro styling but the motorcycles will differ in their riding stance and characteristics. Let us look how this trio could be differentiated among themselves.2022 Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 TourerSuper Meteor will be very closely linked to Cruiser 650 as it borrows part of its name from the brand’s current 350cc cruiser- Meteor. In fact, after reports of ‘Super Meteor’ name being trademarked by Royal Enfield surfaced on the internet, it was speculated that Super Meteor 650 and Cruiser 650 could actually be the same motorcycle. However, we could spot noticeable differences in latest spy shots.2022 Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650cc / Shotgun / Cruiser – Silver ForksThe most prominent difference is the riding posture which features a slightly lower-set handlebar which leads to a slightly committed posture with centre-set footpegs. The rider triangle will be different in this case with the less angular distance between the steering and front suspension. Hence, the wheelbase is also expected to be slightly shorter.New spy shots of the RE Super Meteor 650 were clicked somewhere in the UK. These show the motorcycle in production ready stance. There are three different test mules, which can be differentiated by the front forks. One is wearing silver forks, the other has golden while the third one has black. All three RE 650cc test mules are fully loaded with touring accessories.Expected engine, hardware specsHowever, other than the ergonomic variations all three motorcycles will be the same underneath the skin. This includes the same 648cc parallel-twin motor which pumps out 47 bhp at 7150rpm and 52 Nm at 5250rpm in the current 650 Twins. However, in the upcoming bikes, the power figures or power delivery could be altered to suit their nature. It is mated to a constant-mesh 6-speed gearbox.2022 Royal Enfield Cruiser 650 – USD ForksCycle parts of all three upcoming bikes will be identical to each other. Suspension setup will consist of a pair of upside-down forks or standard forks at front and twin shock absorbers at rear. Braking duties include single disc brakes at both ends with ByBre callipers aided by a dual-channel ABS as standard.
