This Mini EV and Wuling Air EV are very closely related. Not just these two EVs, Baojun E100, E200 and E300 are closely related as well.These tiny EVs are very popular in China. Wuling Hongguang Mini EV alone sold 56,609 units in the month of July 2022. MG Air EV is a two-door electric hatchback that targets urban commutes in China, And it’s likely to be the case in India as well. Mahindra attempted to make a name in micro EV segment with e2O and e2O Plus, but wasn’t met with much success in the early years.[embedded content][embedded content]MG Air EV is smaller than an Alto 800. It is produced by joint venture SAIC-GM-Wuling based on their GSEV (Global Small Electric Vehicle) platform in China. MG is likely to go with as much localization as possible.Specs & LaunchMG Air EV has 2 variants, an SWB (Standard Wheel Base) and an LWB (Long Wheel Base). SWB measures 2,599 mm in length and LWB measures 2,974 mm in length. Irrespective of the length, width is 1,505 mm and is 1,631 mm tall. Seating layout differs with SWB variants getting just 2 seats, and LWB variants get 4 seats.In China, Air EV gets 30 kW (40 bhp) and 50 kW (67 bhp) motor options coupled to a single-speed automatic unit. MG Air EV spied in India, gets a rear tail-gate mounted spare wheel. With a 12” wheel, it is not yet known if it will don a side-hinged tailgate or a top-hinged tailgate.MG Air is likely to be a rebadged Wuling Air EVBattery capacity is not yet known. In Indonesia, it gets a choice between 200km to 300km range on a single charge. The former is priced at IDR 250 million (Rs 13.2 lakh) and the latter is priced at IDR 300 million (Rs 15.9 lakh). Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 spied, is a slight departure from the face seen on N250 and N160. Thus, there is a strong possibility that this particular test mule may not be classified under N family. To make matters more confusing, Bajaj has a lot of trademarks registered in India.Mainly, Pulsar Elan and Pulsar Eleganz. Bajaj can use any of these trademarks and create a distinct lineup. For example, all the Pulsars branched under ‘NS’ lineup can now fall under ‘N’. The regular Pulsars could be brought under the Elan or Eleganz lineup. We say this because there is a distinct design difference between the two as seen in spy shots.Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 SpiedThe camouflaged spy shots reveal its front design and it clearly showcases DNA differences we mentioned earlier. New Pulsar 150 LED headlight is clearly visible. Pulsar N250 and N160 get a sleeker face with their bi-functional projector headlamp sitting in between the LED DRLs while in this spy shot, DRLs are placed on top and projector is placed below with a likely halogen bulb in it.Mirrors look similar to N160 and N250 while Bajaj Pulsar N150 spied, and gets a commuter-ish engine crash guard. Pulsar N160 and N250 get a much sleeker engine crash guard. This Pulsar lineup has been spied on before too. Sometimes alongside N125 that is also under testing and will be unveiled soon.Specs & featuresBajaj is likely to update the engines to deliver better performance and mileage. Coming to Pulsar 150, it is one of the highest-selling in the Pulsar line-up and is currently powered by a 149.5cc single-cylinder engine making 13.8 bhp of power at 8,500 RPM and 13.25 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM. It gets a 2V head along with just air cooling and is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj also offers a dual disc variant and gets dingle-channel ABS as standard.Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 SpiedSome of its cycle parts are likely to be carried over along with features.       Bajaj Triumph 350cc Spied In India For First Time – Royal Enfield Rival

Earlier, BMW Motorrad had entered this space with launch of their 300cc motorcycles. Triumph will be next, as their new street roadster has been spotted in production-ready form. A scrambler based on the same platform will also be launched simultaneously.While exact capacity of Triumph’s entry-level Bonneville motorcycles is not known, the company had earlier stated that it will be in the range of 250cc to 650cc. These new bikes have been developed by Triumph’s UK R&D division, whereas production will be handled by Bajaj. Launch is expected soon. It has now been spied in India for the first time, near Bajaj plant in Pune. It is the scrambler variant that has been spied now.Bajaj Triumph 350cc Spied In IndiaThe classic version will rival the likes of Royal Enfield Meteor, while the Scrambler will take on the likes of Hunter and Yezdi. Retro theme is clearly evident with features such as round headlamps and rear view mirrors.Other key features include USD front forks, chiselled fuel tank design with chrome filler cap, all-LED lights, twin-piece seat with quilted pattern stitching and upswept exhaust. Fine detailing can be seen on exposed engine parts, which enhances the bike’s overall look and feel.Bajaj Triumph 350cc Motorcycle Spied In IndiaTriumph’s new entry-level roadster utilizes a tubular frame with a cast swingarm. It has 17-inch wheels at both ends, shod with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres. Aesthetically, the bike appears to offer a judicious mix of classic and modern features. While some features appear to be inspired by Bonneville range, others look familiar to Trident 660.Bajaj Triumph 350cc Motorcycle Spied In IndiaWith its new entry-level bikes, Triumph can target multiple markets globally. Apart from its home market UK, significant opportunities exist in countries like Indonesia and Philippines. We have seen multiple trademarks registered by LML in India. Now, we have got our hands on the first-ever spy shots of LML’s maiden electric scooter for India.Likely to be called Star, it is a good-looking product. Pretty much up there in the segment, we would say. Eye-catchy design is likely to be LML Star’s forte in India. Not just that, sources tell Rushlane that it will be accompanied by two more 2W EVs on its debut on September 29th. Let’s take a look.LML Star Electric Scooter SpiedLooks like LML Star will take a clean and minimalist design approach. The straight lines and clean body panels reflect the same. But at the same time, it looks futuristic enough to strike as an EV and not a conventional scooter. It looks like it has potential to appeal to a wider consensus and hence translate into wider reach.New LML Star Electric Scooter SpiedLML Star electric scooter gets an LED DRL at the front apron. It is of dot pattern consisting of larger individual LEDs. Headlight is placed on top of the DRL and looks like a round housing and can also pack a projector unit. The front apron is finished in glossy black and gives LML Star, a unique look. It gets a squarish digital display placed on top of its handlebar to show various info.LML has tastefully integrated red bits into the design to add some visual flair too. This red highlight is found in the horizontal strip below its single-piece seat and also on its split grab rails. LML Star spied on what looks like its assembly line. Hence some of its wirings are still disconnected. But styling elements include LED turn indicators. This is where LML Star body bulges slightly and neatly flows into its thick floorboard. Speaking of the floorboard, this is where LML Star’s battery is housed, keeping the centre of gravity low.Specs & FeaturesLML Star comes with front and rear disc brakes, front telescopic suspension and a rear mono-shock. It looks like it gets a mid-mounted electric motor and drives the rear wheel via a chain drive. Like conventional scooters, LML Star is likely to get a single-sided swingarm designed in the form of a CVT housing.LML Electric New Names Registered – LML Star and LML HyperbikeThere is a high probability of it getting a hub motor too. Floorboard looks thick which would offer a knees-up riding position. If the whole battery is housed here, buyers can expect a sizeable boot under the seat too. LML Star spied, gets 3-spoke design alloy wheels that appear to be 10” in size and shod with conventional rubber.At the rear, we can also see a tyre hugger that is likely to house its rear number plate to keep the design tidy. LML Star will debut alongside two other EVs on September 29. Of which one is likely to be called Hyperbike. Battery specs and performance numbers are not yet revealed by LML and so are the features.       Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler Spied With Single Exhaust Setup

      After expanding its 350cc range, Royal Enfield is looking to aggressively target the 650cc segment by launching multiple new bikesRoyal Enfield 650cc Scrambler SpiedWith 650 twins emerging as popular options in domestic and international markets, there seems ample scope to accommodate more body styles. Based on sightings of test mules, there are at least three new 650cc Royal Enfield bikes under development. Latest spy shots are from UK, where a 650cc scrambler version has been spotted on road tests.It is possible that Royal Enfield’s 650cc scrambler could be launched as ‘Constellation’. This name was used earlier by Royal Enfield for its 700cc bike sold in North America between 1958 and 1963. In India, both ‘Constellation’ and ‘Royal Enfield Constellation’ trademarks have been registered by Eicher Motors.Royal Enfield 650cc scrambler spiedRoyal Enfield 650cc scrambler shares several of its features with other 650cc test mules spotted earlier on road tests. Retro styling is apparent, with features such as round headlamp, rear view mirrors, turn indicators and rear tail lamp. The bike has a dual-pod instrument cluster, which is likely to be same as 650 twins. Tear-drop shaped fuel tank has familiar contours as seen with Interceptor.While the engine is the same as 650 twins, one key difference is the single-exit exhaust. The exhaust canister is a stubbier unit with blacked-out finish, as compared to extended, metallic shaded units used with 650 twins. The changes to the exhaust setup should ensure enhanced agility and manoeuvrability, which will come handy during rush hour traffic.Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler SpiedOther key features of Royal Enfield 650cc scrambler include inverted front forks, single-piece saddle, wire-spoke wheels and racing-inspired side panels. At rear, the bike seems to be using a new pair of dual shock absorbers. Both ends have disc brakes and will be offered with dual-channel ABS as standard.Royal Enfield’s upcoming 650cc scrambler has a comfortable, upright riding stance. With centrally mounted foot pegs and ergonomic handlebar position, users can expect to cover long distances with minimal discomfort. India-specific components such as saree guard can also be seen on the test mule.Royal Enfield 650cc scrambler performancePowering the 650cc scrambler will be the 648cc, parallel-twin motor that does duty on 650 twins. It generates 47 bhp of max power and 52 Nm of peak torque. While the engine will be offered in the same state of tune as 650 twins, the scrambler could have a better power-to-weight ratio. With the single-exit, stubbier exhaust unit, RE 650cc scrambler will be lighter in comparison to 650 twins.Apart from its 350cc and 650cc range, Royal Enfield is also working to improve Himalayan. A new 450cc Himalayan is currently under development, which will be aiming to fix the limitations reported with Himalayan 411. While power and torque will be on the higher side, Himalayan 450 will also get some new features such as USD front forks. But it is also targeting global markets. Hence, Mahindra has shied away from budget offerings and has gone full regalia with premium products based on INGLO platform. That said, Mahindra unveiled XUV400 electric earlier this month and will be the company’s cheapest offering.Speaking of INGLO platform based products, Mahindra has showcased five different concepts falling under two different lineups. They are XUV.e series and BE series. XUV.e series are based on XUV branded ICE SUVs. But not BE. As the name implies, they are Born Electric from the ground up and won’t get ICE versions based on them. Off the lot, XUV.e8 will be the first to roll out as it is based on ICE-powered XUV700. Mahindra has also started testing XUV.e8 in India. Let’s take a look.Mahindra XUV700 Electric SpiedXUV.e8 will be the first to launch. At that same August 15 event, Mahindra had displayed a working prototype of the same. Looking at the XUV700 Electric spied testing in India, it is completely camouflaged and is exactly identical to the XUV700 that we currently have. Even its wheels are identical.XUV.e8 prototype has the same profile as XUV700. But, the front and rear were different. When compared to XUV700’s alloy wheels, XUV.e8 prototype that was showcased in Britain, got futuristic aero wheels. This is to reduce aerodynamic drag and help reduce its air drag coefficient. It was spotted in Ecospace, Bangalore. They had come to test the SUV in waterlogged streets. Launch is not scheduled for this year.The prototype showcased in the UK, was wrapped in a matte black wrap with copper-coloured textures all around. This copper colour is to Mahindra, what Electric Blue is to Tata. A signification of EVs. All Mahindra EVs will carry copper accents. Front gets a massive LED DRL which looks striking, to say the least. Headlights are sleeker than XUV700 and have copper elements. Even its Twin Peaks logo gets a copper finish surrounded by purple LED.Specs & FeaturesMahindra’s INGLO platform, which is sourced from Volkswagen’s MEB platform, is scalable from 60 kWh to 80 kWh. XUV.e8 might get either an RWD layout with 228 bhp or an AWD layout with 335 bhp. When it comes to interiors, Mahindra has outdone itself. XUV700 has two horizontal screens, whereas XUV.e8 gets three. One is for the driver’s display, one is for the central infotainment system and the third screen seems to be for the front passenger.Mahindra XUV700 Electric SpiedIt is set to launch around 2024. When launched, it will be slotted above MG ZS EV and below Volvo XC40 Recharge, Kia EV6 and the likes. MG ZS EV gets around 50 kWh worth of juice. While EV6 and XC40 Recharge get around 80 kWh worth of juice. With 60 kWh, XUV.e8 seems to be a logical EV for this segment.  More

While the test mules are fully camouflaged, the contours and outlines look familiar to pulsar 250 twins and N 160. It is apparent that some signature features of Pulsar 150 will be retained to ensure a distinctive identity.It is easy to see that Pulsar N 150 has a more aggressive profile, as compared to existing Pulsar 150. Headlamp cowl has a sharper design and front mudguard has been shortened to achieve a sporty look and feel. Tank Shrouds and side panels appear to be similar to existing variant, but Pulsar N150 is likely to get sportier graphics and decals. Some new colour options are also likely.2023 Bajaj Pulsar N150 Spied TestingIn terms of performance, one of the key updates is monoshock rear suspension. Existing Pulsar 150 has dual-rear shock absorbers. While both suspension setups have their advantages, a monoshock suspension is known to improve stability and handling. Monoshock ensures more precise damping, thereby allowing agile characteristics for the bike. This will be useful for tackling busy city streets. However, monoshock suspension is not so great for carrying heavy loads.Pulsar N150 performanceJust like N160, Pulsar N150 could also get some performance updates. For example, recently launched Pulsar N160 has been equipped with an updated engine that promises faster acceleration and improved reliability. Relevant changes have been incorporated to ensure smoother gear shifts and reduced noise and vibrations. Upcoming Pulsar N150 could also benefit from a similar set of updates.In its current form, Bajaj Pulsar 150 is powered by a 149.50 cc motor that generates 14 PS of max power at 8,500 rpm and 13.25 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike has 17-inch wheels at both ends, shod with 90/90 front and 120/80 rear tubeless tyres (dual-disc variant).2023 Bajaj Pulsar N150 Spied Testing2022 Pulsar N 150 is expected to be launched at around the same price as that of existing model. The new name has already been registered by the company, with trademark approval received earlier this year in June.New Hero Maestro Xoom Scooter SpiedWith the Maestro prefix, it would be safe to assume that the new scooter will have most of the features currently offered with Maestro Edge scooter. Maestro Xoom will not stop at that; instead, it will come with an additional set of features to emerge as a more capable rival to Honda Activa. Hero’s new scooter was showcased at a dealer event and only limited information is available as of now.One of the key upgrades for Hero Maestro Xoom is a full digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Users should be able to pair their smartphones to access phone functions like calls, SMS, music, etc. Things like ride analytics and remote functions may also be available. Hero’s current breed of 110cc scooters like Pleasure and Maestro Edge 110cc are equipped with a semi-digital instrument console. In such situations, it automatically shuts down the engine. The scooter restarts on its own when the clutch is engaged by the rider. i3S is primarily designed to save fuel. It can be activated via a dedicated switch on the handlebar. Users can keep it switched off if they like.Other key differentiating factors for Hero Maestro Xoom include cornering headlamp and 12-inch alloy wheels at front and rear. Existing Maestro Edge has 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels. Visually, the silhouette looks familiar to Maestro Edge 110cc.
