Royal Enfield Electric Himalayan Spied Getting Charged Enroute Ladakh

RE Electric Himalayan Spied Getting ChargedOne of the world’s leading classic motorcycle manufacturers, Royal Enfield, is going out on its limb to enter the lucrative electric 2W segment. While the Flying Flea brand is gaining traction, all eyes seem to be on Electric Himalayan project.
Test mules of Electric Himalayan have been spied multiple times. Royal Enfield has officially teased Electric Himalayan test beds off-roading in Leh Ladakh region. Recent spy shots show Royal Enfield Electric Himalayan test mules getting charged via charging stations and mobile chargers on wheels running on ICE generators. Let’s take a closer look.
RE Electric Himalayan Spied Getting Charged
    Electric Himalayan Spied Getting Charged
Royal Enfield Himalayan is one of the company’s most celebrated models. It aims to be a hardcore off-roader and then a versatile tourer. The company has flexed its engineering prowess with Himalayan as it was their first ever ADV. Now, the company is porting over its expertise into electric 2W segment and Himalayan is a candidate.
    RE Electric Himalayan
Electric Himalayan has been recently spied testing enroute Ladakh for testing. Being an electric motorcycle, it needs recharging especially while range usually drops while tackling inclines in mountain terrains. These test mules seen in recent spy shots were connected to fixed charging stations and then mobile chargers.
    RE Electric Himalayan
These mobile chargers are likely to be working on diesel generators. In this case, the generator was housed inside a Force Traveller van. Royal Enfield seems to be operating a large number of test mules and that is why existing chargers were not enough to charge them all at once, necessitating the need for mobile chargers.
    RE Electric Himalayan
However, this reflects the fact that India’s electric charging infrastructure is still in its nascent stage and is yet to evolve further. If a group of 10 friends took a ride like this, all on electric 2W or cars, there are just not enough charging stations to accommodate them all at once.
RE Electric Himalayan Twin Battery Setup
What to expect from Electric Himalayan?
As seen in the video by er.janakbhardwaj on Instagram, Royal Enfield Electric Himalayan comes equipped with two separate battery packs. These could be removable allowing users to carry these battery packs to their apartments to charge. Also, this design might help users to carry battery packs to nearest domestic plug when fully depleted rather than pushing the entire motorcycle. Think jerrycans, but for electric 2W vehicles.
    RE Electric Himalayan
Overall ethos of Himalayan ICE motorcycle have been carried over. In this sense, Electric Himalayan is still an off-roader as it gets large wire-spoke wheels with off-road tyres, high ground clearance and suspension travel, a tall windscreen for wind protection and more. It has to be noted that the units spied are still test beds and they get a lot of premium components.
    RE Electric Himalayan
Most of these might not make it to final production model when launched. The company has not revealed a launch timeline, but Electric Himalayan is going to be a global product. Where performance is concerned, Electric Himalayan packs a mid-mounted motor from Spanish EV brand Stark Future SL, which could pack enough oomph to match Himalayan 450’s performance.

Royal Enfield Electric FF C6 Spied In Chennai City

Royal Enfield Electric FF C6Unveiled at last year’s EICMA, the FF C6 electric cruiser bike is planned for launch in the first quarter of CY2026
Royal Enfield is stepping up its focus on the EV segment, and three bikes have already been spotted on road tests. It includes the FF C6 cruiser, FF S6 scrambler and HIM-E electric concept. Latest spy shots from automotive enthusiast Jeshwanth, show the FF C6 on road trials in Chennai. Let’s check out the details.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea (FF C6) – Key highlights
It is likely that FF C6 will be Royal Enfield’s first electric motorcycle to go on sale. Test mules have been spotted multiple times with heavy camouflage. Design aesthetics are a close match with the World War II era Flying Flea petrol-powered motorcycle that was in production from 1942 to 1945.
    Royal Enfield Electric FF C6
Some of the key features of Royal Enfield FF C6 electric cruiser include a circular headlamp, Girder forks, circular rear-view mirrors and a distinctive chassis design. The electric bike has minimal body panelling, quite similar to the original Flying Flea. The concept model unveiled at last year’s EICMA had some fine detailing on the battery compartment. The wavy fin-like structures enhance the bike’s visuals and also work to improve cooling.
Royal Enfield FF C6 has large alloy wheels, likely 19-inch at both ends. Fenders have old-school vibes and are fitted with struts for additional support. The bike has a comfortable, upright riding stance. The pillion seat could be removable to suit specific user preferences.
    Royal Enfield Electric FF C6
    Performance, range
Specs of Royal Enfield FF C6 have not been revealed, but one can expect performance similar to a 250cc to 350cc petrol-powered motorcycle. While the bike has largely a skinny profile, the battery compartment seems to have plenty of space. The bike could have a range of anywhere between 100 to 150 km.
FF C6 has a mid-mounted motor, connected to a belt-drive system. This setup is expected to improve balance and handling and ensure smoother, quieter rides. While not official, the battery pack could be of around 4-5 kWh capacity. FF C6 could get a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, which is known for its safety and longevity.
To reduce weight and improve cooling, the battery compartment is built using magnesium metal. Some advanced technologies have been used such as active thermal control and cell-level thermal monitoring. The battery pack of FF C6 will be IP-67 rated.
As seen in the spy shots, the belt drive setup is mounted on the right side. The bike has disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS is expected as standard. Tech kit will include a circular instrument console with a range of Bluetooth-based connectivity features. An earlier teaser had revealed a keyless system, with the start button mounted on the faux fuel tank. Turn-by-turn navigation will also be available, along with access to calls, text and music. More

Kia Syros EV Spied In India At A Charging Station – Next To Windsor EV

Kia Syros EV Spied In IndiaExcluding EV-specific features, Kia Syros EV will be largely the same as its ICE counterpart
After targeting the premium EV segment with EV6 and EV9, Kia is now stepping up focus on the mass-market EV segment in India. Towards that end, Kia has already launched the Carens Clavis EV. Next on the list is Kia Syros EV, which has now been spied on test in India by automotive enthusiast Sharon Satheesan. Latest spy shots show a test mule at a charging station in Kochi. Let’s check out the details.
    No major exterior changes
In terms of its exterior design and styling, Kia Syros EV is largely the same as the ICE-powered Syros. The test mule is heavily camouflaged at the front and rear and up to the window line. Most of the visible parts like the pillars, ORVMs and roof rails are the same as seen with ICE-powered Syros. A shark fin antenna is also visible.
Kia Syros EV Spied In India
There will be EV-specific features such as a closed-off grille and a slot for the charging port. A test mule spotted earlier in South Korea was seen with the charging port placed on the left side. This test vehicle was also fully camouflaged. However, the lighting elements at the front and rear appeared the same as the ICE Syros.
Some minor changes could be there in the detailing at the front and rear. Side profile will be largely the same, although there could be some EV-specific badging. The test vehicle spotted in Korea was seen with the same alloy wheels, as currently offered with the ICE Syros. The only difference was the green-coloured brake callipers, hinting at the vehicle’s electric underpinnings. EV-specific badging is possible at the rear as well.
Kia Syros EV Spied In India
Road presence will be largely the same for Syros EV, compared to the ICE Syros. Dimensions are expected to be the same – 3,995 mm long, 1,805 mm wide and 1,680 mm tall. Kia Syros has a wheelbase of 2,550 mm. Some exclusive colour options could be there for the EV version, although the ICE Syros is already available with 8 exciting monotone colours.

Kia Syros EV – Performance, battery, range
Although specs are not confirmed officially, it is expected that Syros EV could borrow battery packs from the Hyundai Inster EV. The latter utilizes a 42-kWh or a 49-kWh battery pack. These battery packs have Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) chemistry. Range is 370 km with the larger battery pack. 10% to 80% charge can be achieved in around 30 minutes. Similar specs are likely for Syros EV.
Kia Syros EV will primarily challenge rivals such as Tata Punch EV and Windsor EV. Select variants could also compete with the likes of Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 EV and upcoming Maruti Fronx EV. Syros EV could be offered at a starting price of around Rs 14 lakh. Top variants could cost up to Rs 20 lakh. For reference, Kia Carens Clavis EV is available in the price range of Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 24.49 lakh. More

New KTM Twin-Cylinder Duke, Adventure Bikes Spied Testing – 490cc Incoming?

New KTM Twin-Cylinder DukeBased on earlier plans revealed by KTM, it is likely that these new twin-cylinder KTM bikes will fall in the 500–700cc category
To give enthusiasts more options, KTM appears to be working on new models. The middleweight segment holds strong potential and KTM seems to be actively focusing on it. Latest spy shots provide strong evidence, revealing all-new twin-cylinder KTM Duke and Adventure bikes. Let’s take a closer look at what KTM is planning.
KTM new twin-cylinder bikes – What to expect?
Looking at the spy shots, the test mules appear to be in the early- to mid-prototype testing stage. The engine looks production-spec, indicating that the platform is finalized and undergoing road validation. Bodywork is largely unfinished and makeshift panels are clearly evident. There are temporary components instead of production dashboards and switches, as commonly seen during the validation phase.
In the present format, it may take anywhere between 12-18 months for these bikes to reach showrooms. While the engine appears to be a smaller capacity twin-cylinder, the exact displacement is not known. Some of the equipment will make it to production stage such as the large windscreen and wire-spoke wheels of the Adventure bike. It also has a rear top box rack.
In comparison, the Duke has alloy wheels, a short tail section and split seats. While the Adventure bike has dual-purpose tyres, the Duke utilizes road-biased tyres. Wheels of the Adventure could be in the 21-18 or 19-17 combo. The Duke will likely have 17-inch wheels at both ends. Common features for both models include USD front forks, upswept exhaust and monoshock rear suspension.
    New KTM Twin-Cylinder Duke
    Displacement possibilities
Both the Duke and the Adventure have a single disc at the front. This presents a strong possibility of a small-capacity twin-cylinder prototype. Over the years, KTM has been looking to bridge the gap between its 390 cc and 790 cc range. This segment represents a big opportunity and rivals like Honda and Aprilia already have dedicated products in this space. BMW, TVS and Norton will also be launching their respective 450cc twin-cylinder bikes.
It remains to be seen whether KTM will directly target the displacement preferences of its rivals or carve out a more niche space for its new twin-cylinder bikes. For this segment, KTM’s plans have changed multiple times. For example, KTM CEO Stefan Pierer had said in 2019 that the brand is working on an all-new 490cc range of motorcycles. However, this plan was later permanently axed due to high development costs and low commercial potential.
KTM then transitioned to the idea of developing an all-new 690cc range. These bikes were planned to be made in China by KTM’s partner CFMoto. But KTM changed its strategy again by rethinking a new twin-cylinder platform that would be manufactured in India. Bikes based on this platform are planned to target overseas markets such as Australia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
Made-in-India strategy will work better for these markets in terms of pricing and logistics. Pierer had earlier also said that the first bike to be launched in this range will be a Duke. An Adventure and RC could be introduced at a later date.

Himalayan 750 Touring Model Spied In Production Guise – Launch Soon

Himalayan 750 Touring ModelIt is expected that Himalayan 750 could be unveiled at 2025 EICMA and later launched at Royal Enfield Motoverse 2025
As part of its multi-dimensional expansion strategy, Royal Enfield is working on several new models including electric bikes. Also under development is a new range of 750 cc bikes. First to launch among these could be the Himalayan 750, spotted multiple times on road tests. Latest spy shots reveal a tourer version of the Himalayan 750. Let’s check out the details.
Himalayan 750 tourer – Styling and features
As compared to earlier test mules that had wire-spoke wheels, this tourer version can be seen with alloy wheels. One can also notice a circular digital cluster, similar to that of Himalayan 450, Super Meteor 650 and other Royal Enfield bikes. Earlier this year in April, a Himalayan 750 test mule spotted in Europe was seen with a rectangular digital console.
    Himalayan 750 Touring Model
Royal Enfield 750cc bikes will aggressively target overseas markets including Europe and North America. There are likely to be some differences in equipment list, as compared to India-spec models. Features common across all test mule sightings include the round headlamp, a large windscreen, sculpted fuel tank and prominent tank extensions.
Himalayan 750 has two-into-one exhaust pipes with a high-mounted side canister, split seats and robust grab rails. Pannier mounts are available and there’s a top box rack as well. Riding stance is upright and comfortable, made possible with the centrally positioned footpegs and a wide handlebar. This relaxed rider triangle seems apt for long distance touring, as rider comfort can be optimized. Spy shot video below credit to PowerDrift.

    Reworked chassis, re-engineered engine
Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will be using a new frame and subframe. Powering the bike will be a 750cc, parallel-twin engine, expected to deliver around 50-55 hp and 60 Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with a 6-speed transmission. This 750cc engine is likely to be a re-engineered version of the existing 648 cc engine. The higher capacity could have been achieved by using a bigger bore. The 648cc engine delivers 47 hp and 52 Nm of torque.
With the more powerful 750cc engine, users can expect enhanced cruising capabilities. The bike will be getting premium features such as cruise control and a range of Bluetooth-based connectivity functions. Turn-by-turn navigation is expected to be part of the tech kit. With increased power output, the braking setup has been upgraded with dual discs at the front. Royal Enfield’s 650cc motorcycles are equipped with a single front disc brake. At the rear, Himalayan 750 has a single disc brake. Wheel size is 19-inch front and 17-inch rear.
Suspension setup comprises USD front forks and a monoshock rear shock absorber. It is likely that the suspension will be adjustable, allowing users to customize as per their needs and preferences. The bike should be able to handle mild to moderate off-road tracks. Upon launch, Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will rival the likes of Kawasaki Versys 650 and Suzuki V-Strom 650. Royal Enfield is also working on other 750cc models such as Continental GT-R 750 and Interceptor 750.

Hero Glamour X Details Leak Before Launch – Cruise Control, New TFT Screen

New Hero Glamour X Details LeakHero MotoCorp is India’s de facto motorcycle manufacturer, all thanks to its vastly successful commuter bikes. The company has had a good run and is now working on their next generation 125cc commuter bike. Ahead of launch, details of this upcoming next gen 125cc commuter have been leaked, revealing interesting details. Let’s take a closer look.
Hero Glamour X 125 Details Leak
For starters, the new leaked video reveals the name of Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming commuter motorcycle. Glamour X. That’s what Hero is calling their next generation 125cc commuter bike. The company assures that Glamour X will be India’s most futuristic 125cc 2W offering.
New Hero Glamour X Fuel Tank
The claim might very well be true as Hero Glamour X is set to debut Cruise Control feature, which is unheard of in this 125cc commuter space. In fact, Cruise Control is unheard of even in sporty and premium 125cc motorcycles. Also, Glamour X is the first ever motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp to offer Cruise Control, which is quite a statement.
New Hero Glamour X Cruise Control
In latest leaks, we can see a toggle on right hand switchgear that operates Cruise Control features, which is unusual for a 125cc budget commuter. However, it could be a speed limiter function as well. Either way, an electronic throttle (ride-by-wire) is highly likely to be on this motorcycle.
New Hero Glamour X LED Headlights, Indicators
    What else is new?
While Cruise Control is the star of this show, other notable elements seen with Hero Glamour X include a new fully digital instrument cluster, which seems to be a colour LCD panel, similar to the one seen on Karizma XMR 210 Base variant and Xtreme 250R. There are tell-tale lights flanking this screen and there seems to be an gear shift light as well, probably tuned to eke out maximum fuel efficiency.
New Hero Glamour X LCD Instrument cluster
This cluster might pack less features than Xtreme 250R. It is likely to support connected features via Bluetooth like notification alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. Also, Hero is offering a Type-C port on Glamour X, a first ever for a Hero MotoCorp bike. We can see LED turn indicators and one can expect a stylistic fuel tank with muscular tank shrouds too.
    New Hero Glamour X Engine
Other notable elements include an upmarket-looking alloy wheel design, a front disc brake setup, telescopic front suspension, an engine kill-switch, full LED headlight and tail lights and an updated switchgear on left side to operate this new LCD screen. Hero seems to have employed an underbone chassis with Glamour X.
    [embedded content]
Powering Hero Glamour X could be the same 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with a peak power of 10.39 bhp and peak torque of 10.4 Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Considering there is an electronic ride-by-wire throttle and the ‘Most Futuristic 125cc’ promise, we can expect a slipper clutch too. Launch is tomorrow on 19th August, 2025. More
