    Royal Enfield has launched the new Classic 350 retro styled motorcycle. This motorcycle has a strong fan base in the country. In its new avatar, the 2021 RE Classic 350 gets some feature updates. It is being offered in 5 trims of Redditch, Halcyon, Signals, Dark and Chrome.
    Bookings have opened on the company website, or at the nearest Royal Enfield Store while customers can book test rides and customize their Classic 350 via the Royal Enfield App. The new RE Classic 350 comes in with a 3 year warranty along with 1 year Roadside Assistance (RSA).
    Vibration Test – Old vs New Royal Enfield Classic 350
    2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 gets to a new J Series, single cylinder, 4 stroke, EFI unit that also powers the Meteor 350. This engine offers 20.2 hp power at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm mated to a 5 speed constant mesh gearbox.
    This engine continues to give out the prototypical thump of exhaust as seen on its current counterpart. Not only that, it is this engine which has removed the vibrations from Classic 350. You feel no vibrations while riding the motorcycle. Minor vibrations seep in once you cross 80-100 kmph.     Dimensions and Features
    2021 RE Classic 350 measures 2,145mm in length, 785 mm in width and 1,090mm in height. It sits on a 1,390 wheelbase and gets ground clearance at 170 mm which is 3mm higher compared to the outgoing model. Fuel tank capacity stands at 13 liters. Braking is via front disc brake and rear drum brake with single channel ABS offered as standard. It receives telescopic suspension and rear twin tube emulsion shocks while it rides on 19 inch wheel front and 18 inch wheel at the rear.
    Feature updates seen on the new Classic 350 shows off a new semi digital instrument cluster with analogue speedometer and LCD with fuel display and odometer. It also gets a new lighting system with halogen bulbs – an updated headlamp unit and refreshed tail lamp cluster. It sports Royal Enfield’s Tripper Navigation System and a new USB port positioned just below the handlebar.
    Price and Colour Options
    RE Classic entry level Redditch is priced at Rs 1,84,374 while Classic 350 Halcyon carries a price tag of Rs 1,92,123. The Signals variant is at Rs 2,04,367 while the top of the line Dark and Chrome variants are priced at Rs 2,11,465 and Rs 2,15,118 respectively – all prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
    RE Classic 350 is being presented in a total of 11 colour options. The Redditch trim gets two colours of Redditch Sage Green and Redditch Grey. Classic 350 Halcyon variant comes in three colours of Halcyon Green, Halcyon Black and Halcyon Grey while the Signals variant has two options of Signals Marsh Grey and Signals Desert Sand.
    RE Classic 350 Dark variant will sport colour options of Dark Stealth Black and Dark Gunmetal Grey while the top spec Chrome variant gets two colours of Chrome Red and Chrome Bronze. Classic 350 will continue to rival the Honda H’Ness CB350, Benelli Imperiale and Jawa models. More

    Even as the current generation Classic 350 was the best-selling model in the company portfolio for FY21 with a total of 3,61,140 units sold, a new gen model has been launched. 2021 Classic 350 is a completely new motorcycle from the ground up. It receives a new J platform that also underpins the RE Meteor 350 while its engine lineup is also borrowed from the Meteor 350.
    RE Classic 350 Features
    New Classic 350 receive similar styling from its outgoing counterpart. It does get some new and more refined features. It gets distinctive tail lamps, turn indicators and alloy wheels while it will also sport a semi digital instrument system and Tripper Navigation as a part of its updates.
    An LCD information panel, Bluetooth connectivity, USB charger, a rounded pillion seat and turn by turn navigation powered by Google Maps will also be a part of its updates. 2021 Classic 350 will get the same 14 liter fuel tank that is seen on its current counterpart.
    The new gen RE Classic 350 also sees updates in its chassis and meter console along with a revised swing arm. It is positioned on a double cradle frame compared to a single down tube chassis on the older RE. First batch owners of Royal Enfield Classic 350 have started taking deliveries in multiple cities and towns across India.

    2021 RE Classic 350 shares engine with the Meteor 350. This 349 cc, single cylinder, 4 stroke engine will offer 20 hp power at 6,100 rpm and 28 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm mated to a new 5 speed gearbox. This engine will receive a counter balancer shaft that will help reduce vibrations, thereby relating to an improved ride.
    Braking will be handled by disc brakes on both wheels along with dual channel ABS as standard. For suspension duties, the Classic 350 will get telescopic forks in front and mono-shock absorber at the rear.
    It is offered in a total of five trim levels – Redditch, Halcyon, Signals, Dark and a range-topping Chrome trim. Price starts from Rs 1.84 lakhs and goes all the way to Rs 2.15 lakhs – all prices are ex-sh. It will rival the likes of Jawa Classic, Honda Hness CB 350, Benelli Imperiale 400, etc in the segment.
    Royal Enfield Next Launches
    Royal Enfield is also planning a host of new launches. The company has said that their aim is to launch 4 new motorcycles every year. This year has already seen the launch of updated Himalayan, revised 650 Twins and new Classic 350. It remains to be seen what RE plans to launch next.     Royal Enfield Aug 2021 Sales – Classic, Meteor, Bullet, Himalayan, 650 Twins

    In August 2021, the total of Royal Enfield’s domestic sales and exports is at 45,860 units. That’s a drop of -9%, as compared to 50,144 units in August last year. This drop is likely due to launch of all-new Classic 350. It seems like many customers had postponed their plans in wait for new Classic 350. More clarity will emerge next month when we get to see the numbers for September 2021.
    Royal Enfield 350cc Sales
    In 350cc segment, Royal Enfield currently has bikes like Classic 350, Bullet 350, Meteor 350 and Electra 350. Sales and exports in August were at 38,572 units. YoY growth is down -17%, as compared to 46,357 units in August last year.
    However, when we look at Year-to-Date data, Royal Enfield has registered strong double-digit growth. Sales and exports during the period from Apr-21 to Aug-21 is at 1,82,681 units. That’s a growth of 35%, as compared to 1,35,174 units during the same period last year.
    Royal Enfield 400cc-650cc Sales
    Beyond 350cc, Royal Enfield has the Himalayan and 650 twins (Interceptor and Continental GT). All these are among the most preferred Royal Enfield bikes in international markets. In August, sales and exports of models with engine capacity exceeding 350cc were at 7,288 units. YoY numbers have close to doubled, as compared to 3,787 units in August last year.

    Comparing the numbers on Year-to-Date basis, the growth is much higher at 145%. From Apr-21 to Aug-21, sales and exports of 350cc+ motorcycles are at 30,857 units. In comparison, the numbers were 12,573 units during the corresponding period last year.
    Royal Enfield exports August 2021
    In terms of volumes, the primary contributors are Meteor 350, Himalayan and 650 twins. Other bikes like Classic 350, Classic 500, and Bullet 350 are also exported. However, their numbers are much less in comparison.
    In August 2021, Royal Enfield exported a total of 6,790 units. YoY growth is at 164%, as compared to 2,573 units exported in August last year. For the period Apr-21 to Aug-21, export numbers are at 30,501 units. That’s a massive leap of 317%, as compared to 7,312 units exported during the same period last year.
    MoM growth stays buoyant
    Royal Enfield overall MoM growth (sales + exports) for August is at 4.14%. The numbers were 44,038 units in July 2021. In 350cc space, MoM growth is up by 2.71%, as compared to 37,556 units in July 2021. In 350cc+ segment, MoM growth is up by 12.43%. The numbers in July 2021 were at 6,482 units.
    Talking about domestic sales numbers, MoM growth is down -0.56% in comparison to 39,290 units sold in July 2021. In exports, MoM growth has improved by 43.01% in comparison to 4,748 units exported in July 2021.
    As the festive season has begun and will continue through November, motorcycle sales can be expected to register strong growth in the coming months. It is possible that Royal Enfield may utilize this opportunity to introduce new products in the market. Options include Hunter 350, Roadster 650, and Royal Enfield Scram. More

    Royal Enfield has launched the all-new Classic 350 at a starting price of Rs 1.84 lakh for the Redditch Series. Classic 350 Halcyon range is priced from Rs 1.93 lakh. 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Signals is priced from Rs 2.04 lakh. New Classic Dark Edition is priced from Rs 2.11 lakh. Top of the line Chrome Classic 350 is priced from Rs 2.15 lakh. All prices are ex-sh.
    Interested folks can place their booking at any of the authorized dealerships. Already the top selling product in its category, new Classic 350 will be a greater challenge for rivals like Jawa, Honda H’ness CB350 and Benelli Imperiale 400.

    New-gen Classic 350 design and features
    Even in its current form, Classic 350 is loved by enthusiasts for its classy, old-school look and feel. As retro theme is one of the key USPs of the bike, Royal Enfield has played it safe by not fiddling with styling aspects. Classic 350 is the company’s bread and butter, making it all the more important to not take risky bets on it. Experiments with design could always be conducted on other new products that the company has plans to launch in the coming years.
    New Classic 350 continues with its round halogen headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, circular turn indicators and rear view mirrors, ergonomically placed wide handlebars, spoke wheels, bottle-tube exhaust muffler and round tail lamp. The updated bike is available in 11 colour options. A total of five trims are on offer, Redditch, Halcyon, Signals, Dark and top-spec Chrome trim.
    New Royal Enfield Classic 350 – Tripper navigation is only on Chrome variants via RE app. It will be offered as option to other variants from a later date.
    In other updates, the bike gets a revised semi-digital instrument cluster. New Classic 350 will also be getting Tripper navigation, which was introduced first with Meteor 350. However, the units currently being sent to dealerships do not have the Tripper system. This is apparently due to global shortage of semiconductors. It is expected that Tripper system will be made available for new Classic 350 as soon as supply situation improves.
    New-gen Classic 350 engine and specs
    Updated Classic 350 will be using the new 350cc, air-oil cooled motor that currently does duty on Meteor 350. This next-gen 350cc motor will be used for all new / next-gen 350cc Royal Enfield motorcycles that are planned to be launched in coming months. It is capable of generating max power of 20.2 bhp and max torque of 27 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
    As compared to the current 350cc engine, power output has increased by 1.1 bhp whereas torque has reduced by 1 Nm. These changes are unlikely to impact user experience in real world ride conditions. However, the engine does offer tangible benefits in terms of responsiveness and reduced vibrations. Also, it will continue to delight users with a thumpy aural experience.
    New Royal Enfield Classic 350
    Another significant change for new Classic 350 is the new twin downtube spine frame. Referred to as ‘J platform’, it was introduced with Meteor 350. This is much better than the current single downtube frame that utilizes the engine as stressed member. The new platform improves ride dynamics and helps lower vibrations.

    The internet has been flashing news about the upcoming new generation Classic 350 from Royal Enfield for the past few weeks now. Like every model from Royal Enfield, anticipation for this motorcycle is huge more so because it has been the brand’s highest-selling model in the last decade.
    Many previews of the new Classic 350 have already been going viral online which have revealed plenty about the modern retro-style bike. Latest images of New Royal Enfield Classic 350 Green Colour (Halcyon Green) have been posted by Prashant Nayyar. This is a new colour option and looks quite attractive.
    Exhaust Note Compared
    Two key attributes about Royal Enfield motorcycles that are talked about most often are their looks and thump sound. While its styling has been revealed in recent spy shots and videos, we also have a sample of its exhaust note.
    A video on YouTube uploaded by Royal. Sourabh Vlog reveals the exhaust note of upcoming Classic 350. When compared with the outgoing model, surprisingly both sound a lot similar to each other. This mainly has to do with the tighter BS6 emission norms and a much larger catalytic converter that comes with these strict emission standards. The new cat con box results in a muffled exhaust note which evidently is present on the new-gen Classic 350 as well.

    However, this was very different in the pre-BS6 era where the exhaust notes from Royal Enfield bikes were much louder and aggressive. At idle, both the older generation Classic 350 and new-gen Classic 350 sound identical. On pulling the throttle a little gently, the new Classic 350 offers a slightly raspier note than the outgoing model. Nevertheless, both exhaust notes are subdued in nature, something which won’t appeal to old-school Royal Enfield fans.
    Updated Styling & Features
    The good thing though the bikemaker hasn’t tinkered with the motorcycle’s design too much as it still gets the vibe of a signature Royal Enfield retro-style bike. Some visual highlights include a round halogen headlamp, circular turn indicators, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with rubber grips, tiger-eyed position lights and wire-spoke wheels.
    In terms of features, the new Classic 350 will be offered with a revised semi-digital instrument cluster which comes with an analogue speedometer and a digital display for odometer and fuel gauge. It also comes with the provision of a Tipper Navigation display which could be fitted as an accessory from any dealership.

    Royal Enfield will launch the new generation of Classic 350 on 1st Sep 2021. Ahead of that, it has now gone on display across authorized dealerships in India. The bike’s launch has been highly anticipated since the first-gen Classic has been the highest-selling model from the Chennai-based bikemaker ever since it was first launched in 2009.
    This is the exact reason why Royal Enfield hasn’t tinkered too much with its design since it has been a USP of the Classic brand. Even with a generation update, it will take a keen eye to realize that this is the new gen and not the old gen.
    Variants & Colour Options
    The new Classic 350 can be had with either a single-channel ABS variant or a dual-channel ABS variant and consumers can either opt for a single-seat or dual-seat derivative. It is available in a total of five trim levels namely Redditch, Halcyon, Signals, Dark and the range-topping Chrome trim.
    The entire lineup is offered in as many as eleven colour options with each trim barring Halcyon being in two colour options each. Halcyon is the only trim to be offered with three paint schemes.     Only the Redditch trim is offered with a single-channel ABS whereas the rest of the lineup is equipped with a dual-channel ABS. Dark and Signals Edition of the new Classic 350 adopt a completely blacked-out theme while the rest of the lineup makes use of chrome components.
    Design & Features
    As previously mentioned, most of the styling aspects of the modern retro-styled motorcycle have been retained from the outgoing model. These include a round halogen headlamp, circular turn indicators, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with rubber grips, tiger-eyed position lights, etc. Other styling highlights such as wire-spoked wheels (except Dark Trim), a bottle tube exhaust muffler, circular rearview mirrors and a round taillamp lend the bike a signature retro appeal.
    In terms of features, the new-gen Classic 350 gets a revised semi-digital instrument cluster. Interestingly, the Tripper Navigation TFT display is not seen on the display bikes. Dealers say that due to semiconductor shortage, RE is shipping the Classic 350 without the Tripper Navigation unit. It Could be offered as an additional accessory at a later stage.
    New Royal Enfield Classic 350 – Redline Motoworks
    When paired to the Royal Enfield App on the rider’s smartphone via Bluetooth, the tripper navigation reads out turn-by-turn navigation to the location entered. For the first time, Classic 350 gets a USB charger. The switchgear in handlebar has also been upgraded and feels more premium now.
    Mechanical Specs
    The major updates have been under the bike’s skin which now features a J platform. The new double downtube frame will be suspended on conventional 41mm telescopic forks at front and dual shock absorbers at rear. Braking duties will be handled by disc brakes on both wheels with a 300mm rotor at front and a 270mm rotor at rear. The motorcycle rolls on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels while it tips the weighing scales at 195 kilos.

    Already the top selling bike in 200cc-500cc segment, things are going to get even more interesting with launch of next-gen Classic 350. The updated bike packs in a range of visual enhancements, functional improvements and new engine and chassis.
    Ahead of its launch on September 01, the motorcycles have started arriving at dealers across India. Hat tip to automotive enthusiast Keshav, for sharing exclusive photos of new RE C350 while it was being off-loaded from a transport trailer and being moved into a dealership.
    New-gen Classic 350 key updates
    Some of the key changes include new headlamp with new pilot lamps, updated fuel tank graphics, new exhaust design and new tail lamp unit. Users can expect a better experience, as the bike has wide and comfortable seats for both rider and pillion. While the handlebar is the same as earlier, the ergonomics have been improved with revisions in grips, switch cubes, info switch and oval master cylinder.
    Other key features of new-gen Classic 350 include integrated ignition and steering lock, semi-digital instrument cluster with LCD info panel, and USB charger. The bike gets Bluetooth-based Tripper navigation that comes with dedicated TFT display device. It is powered by Google navigation. Tripper system was introduced for the first time with Meteor 350. Several other Royal Enfield bikes are also expected to get Tripper navigation system.
    2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Arrives At Dealer
    A range of new colour options will be available with next-gen Classic 350. As per reports, new Classic 350 will have five variants. While the lower four variants will have two colour options each, the top-spec variant will have three dual-tone colour options. The top-spec model will make liberal use of chrome.

    Powering next-gen Classic 350 will be the new 350cc, air-oil cooled motor that first debuted with Meteor 350. It is capable of generating 20.2 bhp of max power and 27 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. As compared to current model, power output has increased by 1.1 bhp. However, torque output is down by 1 Nm. This is unlikely to make any major difference in real world riding conditions.
    Chassis has been updated, featuring a twin downtube spine frame. The current unit is a single downtube frame that uses engine as stressed member. Working together, the new engine and frame have achieved significant improvements in ride dynamics. Vibrations have also reduced dramatically, as already noted by Meteor 350 users.
    New RE C350 Arrives At Dealer Showroom
    Both front and rear tyres are now wider, as compared to that of existing model. Brake discs are larger; 300 mm at front and 270 mm at rear. The current model has 280 mm / 240 mm discs, respectively. Users will have the option to choose between single and dual-channel ABS.

    The entire motorcycling community in India is presently awaiting the launch of the highly anticipated new-gen Royal Enfield Classic 350. The Chennai-based modern classic bikemaker recently took to social media to confirm that the new Classic 350 will be launched on September 1.
    In recent months, many details of the upcoming motorcycle have been revealed through various spy shots leaked on the internet. Also, the bike has managed to garner attention due to the excessive number of colour options available. Multiple colour options of the new-gen Classic 350 have come to light from recent spy videos and images.
    New Classic 350 Colour options
    Reports have indicated that the new Classic 350 will be made available in five variants. Barring the top-spec trim, rest of the four variants will be offered in two colour options each.
    The top-spec model will offer three dual-tone paint schemes, each of which will be complemented by heavy doses of chrome. The upcoming lineup of the modern retro motorcycle will offer new colour options such as Stealth Black, British Green and Glossy Grey.
    Royal Enfield Classic 350 New Colour
    While some of them like the British Green option will offer tan brown leather seats, the other will offer black seats. Some variants will offer mechanical components such as handlebar, rearview mirrors, headlamp bezels and exhaust tailpipe embellished in chrome whereas others will get these parts blacked out.
    A few other paint schemes expected to be included are Light green, Khakhi, Stealth black, dual-tone red and black and white. The new-gen Classic will also get Signals Edition as one of its variants which are more likely to be offered in light green and khaki. The Signals Edition is a tribute to all men and women of the defence and paramilitary forces.
    Retro-Style design
    Apart from new colour options, the overall design of the new Classic 350 is more of an evolution with most of the styling of the outgoing model retained. This includes a round halogen headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank with rubber grips, tiger-eyed position lights, etc. Like the current-gen Classic, the upcoming model will be sold in both single- and dual-seat derivatives.
