    Royal Enfield Riot 650cc – Scrambler based on INT 650Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is currently priced between Rs 2.85 lakh and Rs 3.09 lakh (ex-showroom)Royal Enfield is among the popular brands for aftermarket modifications. All models retailed under the portfolio of the Chennai-based bikemaker have undergone some sort of aftermarket modifications at some point in time.The latest case is a custom-built Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 that has been modified as a nice-looking scrambler. This prototype has been built by an aftermarket custom workshop called Rebellious Garage which is based out of Mexico.Royal Enfield Riot 650cc ScramblerSpeaking of its design, despite a complete overhaul in styling, the workshop has managed to retain the old-school retro charm of Royal Enfield. The first thing one notices is the flattened seat with a ribbed pattern which should ensure a comfortable ride.The big update is the all-black theme adopted by the motorcycle that too with a complete matte finish which gives it a stealthy appearance. A video of the same has been uploaded by the workshop on YouTube divulging its design.[embedded content][embedded content]Barring the main frame, all components including the fuel tank, handlebar, engine casing, exhaust pipes and other cycle parts have been given a matte black treatment. As with the norm with most scramblers, front and rear fenders have been chopped short. Upfront, we witness a new circular LED headlamp that gives the motorcycle a neo-retro vibe.The handlebar is now set taller and mounted on custom mounts, along with aftermarket rearview mirrors and handle grips. Turn indicators have been removed from both ends which could be a safety hazard.Front forks get a distinct appearance due to the gloss black finish to the casing and shorter fork gaiters. The bike gets a new offset instrument console which is slightly left-oriented.Royal Enfield Riot 650cc – Scrambler based on INT 650Not just the fenders but the entire frame underpinning the bike has been shortened and bent upwards at the tail section. Further, stock side panels have been replaced by aftermarket units.The tiny rear fender flaunts a tiny round LED taillamp. It also gets a chunky underbelly bash plate with ‘Rebellious’ branding. Gloss black treatment provided to the twin exhaust canisters creates a nice contrast with the tailpipes finished in matte black.Royal Enfield Riot 650cc – Scrambler based on INT 650Updates To HardwareSimilarly, rear shock absorbers have been painted black including the Nitrox cylinder which is golden-coloured in the stock model. The custom number plate holder has been mounted on the left swingarm. The bike continues to roll 17-inch wire-spoked wheels but spokes have been painted black too. The wheels are now shod with knobby dual-purpose tyres from Bridgestone with 140/80 section at rear and 130/80 section at front.No changes have been mentioned for the powertrain department.     Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411Scram 411 will appeal to users looking for a road-biased machine that can tackle city streets, highways and some mild off-roadsIn its current form, Royal Enfield Himalayan is not the type of bike that suffices for normal commuting needs. To improve its usability without losing its core Adv character, Royal Enfield is working on a toned-down version of Himalayan. The new 400cc bike has been spotted multiple times on road tests, revealing its features and capabilities.This new Himalayan variant will be called Scram 411. This has now been confirmed via leaked brochure scans, credit to youtube channel Bullet Guru. Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 official accessories like t-shirts, keychains have also arrived at dealership.Royal Enfield Scram 411 featuresScram 411 has the same basic silhouette as that of Himalayan. It continues using the retro theme, as evident in round headlamp and rear-view mirrors. Other things like fork gaiters, design of fuel tank, wide handlebar, chassis, split seats and upswept exhaust are quite the same as Himalayan.For its road-biased transformation, a number of parts have been removed. For example, Scram 411 does not have the dedicated racks at front and rear. It gets compact-sized tank shrouds at front and single piece grab rail at rear.Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 vs HimalayanAnother key change is the use of a smaller 19-inch front wheel, as compared to 21-inch unit currently used with Himalayan. The bike is still capable of some off-roading, as it continues using wire-spoked wheels shod with dual-purpose tyres.At the front, Scram 411 misses out on windscreen and raised front fender. Shape of turn indicators is expected to be different, as compared to that of Himalayan. There could be some other minor variations to the overall styling of the bike. For a unique identity, some new colour options can be introduced for Scram 411.As reduced pricing could be one of the objectives, Scram 411 could get an updated instrument console without Tripper navigation system. As may be recalled, Tripper was added to Himalayan earlier this year in February. For users who need it, Tripper may be offered as an accessory with Scram 411.Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 FeaturesRoyal Enfield Scram 411 engine and specsEngine will be the same 411cc unit currently in use with Himalayan. The air cooled, single cylinder, SOHC motor generates 24.3 bhp of max power and 32 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It is possible that the engine may be retuned slightly in-line with the needs of a road-biased motorcycle.Much of the hardware will be same such as telescopic front forks and monoshock suspension at rear. Suspension could be made stiffer for better on-road performance. Scram 411 will have disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard. But new rivals have arrived in the form of Jawa, Yezdi, BSA and soon to be launched Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle.To maintain its dominance in the segment, Royal Enfield plans to launch multiple new motorcycles in this segment. This includes the new Himalayan Scram 411, a 650cc cruiser, a 650cc bobber, Super Meteor 650. They are also testing a new scrambler, which is likely to be called Hunter 350.New Royal Enfield Hunter 350ccTest mules of this motorcycle have been spied on several occasions previously. In the latest spy shots, new RE Hunter 350 has been spied up close, revealing new details. Royal Enfield Hunter 350 gets a classic retro design with signature styling highlights such as a round headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single-piece seat and a short rear section.Tail section gets split grab rails and a short circular fender along with a round turn taillight with turn indicators. The motorcycle rolls on 17-inch black alloy wheels which nicely complement the bike’s sporty stance.2022 Royal Enfield Hunter 350ccThe sporty appeal of Hunter is further accentuated by a dark theme adopted for its internals and running gear with components like engine casing, handlebar, and suspension setup painted in black colour with a matte finish. A number of customizations have been carried out including cosmetic enhancements as well as functional updates. While Classic 350 is already popular for its timeless design, this modified version appears to make a better connect with enthusiasts. It has been aptly named as ‘Enigma’ by the modifier.Classic 350 Enigma custom detailsWhat immediately grabs our attention is the matte metallic red paint job. While the front and rear fenders get an even shade, the fuel tank and side utility box have a combo of red and gradient black. This ensures a seamless integration with the rest of the bike, which wears a largely blacked-out look. Most other components have been blacked-out including the engine, chassis, exhaust, and wheels.Fenders at both ends have been shortened and customized to achieve a tyre hugging profile. In comparison, stock Classic 350 looks more retro with its broad fenders. Fuel tank has been customized into a compact and sharper unit, something usually seen with bobber styled motorcycles.The lower curved section of the fuel tank creates a shield effect for the engine, which comes across as a new design innovation. It is not certain if the customized fuel tank will impact storage capacity. Even though it looks slimmer, the length seems to have been stretched. In case of stock Classic 350, fuel tank capacity is 13 litres.Royal Enfield Classic 350 Modified CruiserOther changes include bar-end touring mirrors and floating-type detachable pillion seat. While the exhaust looks like the stock unit, it gets perforated exhaust cover. Another key change is round instrument pods that have been asymmetrically placed above the LED headlight. The headlight gets a ring in matte red paint, which seems to create a halo effect for the bike.Classic 350 Enigma engine and specsEngine has been retained in its original form in this customization project. Classic 350 is powered by a 349cc motor that makes 20.2 bhp of max power at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. It is mated to a constant mesh 5-speed gearbox.In terms of functional updates, the bike gets USD forks at front. Rear dual shock absorbers have been left untouched. However, rear swingarm has been extended by 4 inches. The bike has been equipped with 19-inch front and 15-inch rear spoke wheels. They are shod with 110mm and 140mm dual-purpose block pattern tyres, respectively.Royal Enfield Classic 350 Modified CruiserBraking system is the same as stock version, 300mm and 270mm disc at front and rear, respectively. Classic 350 is offered in both single and dual-channel ABS options. With the updates, modified Classic 350 has acquired a more intense and powerful character.     Royal Enfield 650 INT Gets A Scrambler Makeover – The Real Highness

    Royal Enfield 650 ModifiedThis mod job has been presented in two different formats and colour schemes; more variations possible based on customer specificationsFor customization projects, one of the preferred options is Royal Enfield motorcycles. Their simple architecture allows bike modifiers a free hand to experiment with various ideas and concepts. In a recent project, two Interceptor 650 motorcycles have been transformed into powerful-looking scramblers. The project has been executed by Delhi-based Neev Motors.650 scrambler modification detailsMuch of the customization is common across both modified bikes. For a beefier look and feel and for improved traction, the bikes have been fitted with balloon tyres. A number of components have been blacked out such as headlamp, turn signals, engine assembly, wheels and exhaust. A custom-made leather seat has been used, which comes in a quilted pattern.Front and rear fenders have been replaced with customized units. Tail section has been shortened and the grab rail has been removed. To ensure the bikes remain usable even in the rainy season, a custom built rear tyre hugger has been added. Another key change is the custom-made exhaust with sporty mesh-type insert.The custom exhaust is a lightweight unit, around 12 kg lighter than the stock version. This will improve performance with a higher power to weight ratio. The exhaust has extra loud output, significantly higher than the stock unit. It is not sure if it would be street legal. In recent times, traffic police have been taking strict action against illegal modifications including loud exhausts.Royal Enfield 650 ModifiedTalking about individual aspects, one of these bikes gets a grey and black colour scheme. It has been aptly named as ‘falcon’. Changes that are specific to falcon include a tank plate and 3D elements on side panels. For a cleaner front section, the instrument pods have been moved to the right side.Second bike utilizes a combination of red and black. It comes with classic leather bags on the sides and a leather pouch with straps mounted on the fuel tank. Colours on both bikes have been entirely repainted. That everything has come out in perfect finish highlights the superior skills of the modifier.650 scrambler modification costIn this modification project, around 50-60% of the bike’s parts and accessories have been modified. This is excluding core components like engine, chassis, suspension and braking, which have been retained in their original form. With a high level of customization and aftermarket components, cost of this project is minimum Rs 2 lakh for each bike. This is around 2/3rd of Interceptor 650 price, which starts at around Rs 3 lakh.A good thing about this project is that much of the customization can be reversed if the user feels the need for it.     Royal Enfield Sales Jan 2022 – Classic 350, Bullet, Meteor, 650 Twins, Himalayan

Sales fell from 68,887 units at volume loss of just over 10k units. Decline is reported at 14.59 percent. Of this, domestic sales accounted for 49,726 units, down from 64,372 units. Volume loss is reported at 14,646 units, down 22.75 percent.Total exports more than doubled at 9,112 units, up from 4,515 units. Volume gain stood at 4,597 units at 101.82 percent growth. Domestic sales for the month accounted for 84.51 percent of total sales.Royal Enfield Sales Jan 2022 – 350ccIts 350cc segment sales fell to 49,586 units, down from 64,248 units at volume loss of 14,662 units. Sales decline is reported at 22.82 percent. This segment accounted for 84.28 percent of all sales. In this segment, RE sells Classic, Bullet, Electra and MeteorThe above 350cc segment saw sales grow to 9,252 units, up from 4,639 units. Volume gain stood at 4,613 units at 99.44 percent sales growth. Royal Enfield is keen on creating a global brand identity in the mid-segment and this is supported by its export numbers which have continued to grow in recent months. This segment has 650 Twins and Himalayan. New version of Himalayan as well as 3 new motorcycles in the 650cc segment are planned for launch.Royal Enfield Sales Jan 2022MoM sales decline has been even steeper. Sales fell from 73,739 units sold in December 2021. Volume loss stood at 14,901 units at a decline of 20.21 percent. #50cc segment sales fell from 62,543 units, down 20.72 percent. Volume decline stood at 12,957 units.Over 350cc segment sales fell from 11,196 units, down 17.36 percent. Volume loss stood at 1,944 units. Domestic sales fell from 65,187 units, down 23.72 percent. Volume loss stood at 15,461 units. MoM exports saw growth of 6.55 percent, up from 8,552 units. Volume gain stood at 560 units.Though sales are diminished, it continues to march on despite impact on production. Production has been hampered owing to the third wave of Covid-19 pandemic. Add to this the ongoing global shortage of semiconductor chips. While the domestic market sees sales struggles, Royal Enfield has put on an exceptional show where exports are concerned. This packs in quite the punch in terms of global growth in international markets with exports.Royal Enfield Sales Jan 2022 YTDYTD FY22 salesYTD 350cc segment sales are reported at 4,01,085 units, down 8 percent from 4,35,321 units. The above 350cc segment has seen great growth at 80 percent. YTD sales are up at 74,346 units, up from 41,312 units. Total sales for FY22 thus far stands at 4,75,431 units. Sales for the same 10 months in the previous fiscal stood at 4,76,633 units. Domestic sales deficit has been largely negated by growth in exports. YTD exports stand at 64,807 units, up from 28,192 units at 130 percent sales growth.Royal Enfield has launched its all new Classic 350 in Philippines, Korea, Australia and New Zealand in January 2022. It was launched in India and Thailand in 2021. The new timeless classic is built on the modern J-series engine, and an all-new chassis. The bike maker is also very popular in the aftermarket industry both in India and abroad. We often come across Royal Enfield motorcycles undergoing some kind of modification on the internet.Some of these custom-built bikes are curated tastefully and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. One such example comes from the land of Royal Enfield’s origins. In the latest example, a stock Interceptor 650 has been modified into a Himalayan using an aftermarket body kit for the latter.Royal Enfield 650cc Interceptor Modified – ‘Interlayan’A video of the same has been uploaded by Cooperb Motorcycles on their YouTube channel. The motorcycle shop based out of Wellingborough in the United Kingdom has built several custom motorcycle projects in the past. Its latest creation is an Interceptor converted into a Himalayan which Cooperb is calling Interlayan 650 which is an interesting amalgam of ‘Inter’ceptor and Him‘alayan’.The modifier reveals that it isn’t a finished project and that the Royal Enfield 650cc Himalayan / Interlayan 650 is yet to undergo a few more modifications in order to become a proper adventure tourer. Still, the motorcycle has already undergone several mod jobs which have altered the bike’s appearance. For starters, the stock wheels have been replaced with wire-spoked wheels with a golden paint job around rims.[embedded content][embedded content]The wheels are now shod with dual-purpose tyres which would aid the bike during soft roading. Front suspension has been modified and now features fork gaiters. A signature windscreen, plastic front fender and beak have been added to the bike’s face. Even the stock headlight of Interceptor has been replaced with the ones used in the adventure tourer.The handlebar of the Interlayan has been changed but the twin-pod instrument cluster has been retained. Another major update is the incorporation of a new chiselled fuel tank similar to one seen in Himalayan. The aftermarket body kit also consists of metal frames that protect the body and even acts as mounting points for pannier boxes and jerry cans.The most significant alteration is a new single-side exhaust canister instead of dual canisters, one on each side in the stock Interceptor. Other functional updates made include hand-guards, an engine underbelly crash guard and aftermarket rearview mirrors finished in black bezels.
