Royal Enfield 650cc Spied With Fairing – Conti GT 650R Launch Plan?

With 47 bhp of power and 52 Nm of torque, Royal Enfield GT-R 650 will offer brisk performance like regular Conti GT 650Royal Enfield 650R Spied.Royal Enfield has exemplary experience in extracting the most out of a given platform. Its current J-Series platform and 411cc platform have spawned multiple flavours of motorcycles. The company’s 650cc twin-cylinder platform was offered in two options as well. One, a relaxed classic named Interceptor 650 and other, a sporty Cafe Racer named Continental GT 650.A Super Meteor 650 or a Thunderbird X 650, and a 650cc scrambler are also in the works. We have seen another version of GT 650 named GT-R 650 that races in Continental GT Cup. GT-R 650 is not on sale.Royal Enfield 650cc Spied With FairingBut it seems that Royal Enfield is toying with the idea of launching a faired Continental GT 650. A new RE 650cc test mule has been spied in Chennai. It dons a bikini fairing that amplifies GT 650’s retro appeal even further. For starters, the fairing that this test mule is equipped with, is very similar to the Royal Enfield GT-R 650 race bike.Speaking of GT-R 650, it gets a single seat and a retro bikini fairing at the front that adds a lot of old-world charm to the already charming Continental GT 650. Mechanically, Royal Enfield GT-R 650 was kept identical. To make it race-worthy, weight was reduced by as much as 25 kg from the stock. Heavier exhaust was replaced with a lighter and free-flow unit. Electricals like headlights, blinkers and the lot were discarded as well.Royal Enfield 650R SpiedRE Conti GT 650R got lower set clip-on handlebars than stock and rear-set pegs along with a belly pan which is required in a racing bike. Other changes include a revised front sprocket and slick tyres. If Royal Enfield had come up with a fully-faired GT 650 like Cerra GT 865, it would be rad.Conti GT 650R test mule is of Dux Deluxe colour and has been spotted with a remote adjuster for its rear twin shock absorbers. This feature is likely for suspension tuning by the tester and is highly unlikely to make it to production. Continental GT 650 is also spotted testing with alloy wheels that might make it to GT-R 650.What To Expect?Production-spec version of the test mule is likely to be called GT-R 650 and will get a bikini fairing that extends to its fuel tank. Same round headlight unit with a halogen bulb is likely to be retained. Due to added fairing, front blinkers will be repositioned.Royal Enfield 650R Spied – Suspension adjusterStandard ORVMs are replaced by bar end units on this test mule. Test mule has mounting points in place for a full set of fairing as well. There is a possibility that Royal Enfield may also offer the fairing as an accessory for existing customers as well.Aftermarket accessories for Royal Enfield are in abundance, including a fairing for 650. So, RE might offer a fairing for Continental GT 650 in the form of a genuine accessory. We can expect a slight price bump for Royal Enfield GT-R 650 over regular Continental GT 650. Launch can take place sometime in 2023.Image Source More

Royal Enfield 650cc Cruiser New Spy Shots – Debut Next Month Expected

While it will not have any direct rivals, Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 can work as an affordable option in comparison to Kawasaki Vulcan SRoyal Enfield 650cc Cruiser New Spy ShotsRoyal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has been spotted yet again on road tests, showcasing its prominent street presence, retro styling and relaxed ergonomics. Even when it is dimensionally huge, the bike has friendly vibes. It’s flowy design with curvy panelling is quite like an artwork created with great passion and finesse. It’s something that instantly draws you in and makes you want to take it out for a spin. When launched, Super Meteor 650 is likely to be Royal Enfield’s new flagship bike. It will target both domestic and international markets, especially Europe. Launch price is expected to be around Rs 3.5 lakh, making it the most expensive Royal Enfield till date. However, it will still be almost half the price of other similar capacity cruisers such as Kawasaki Vulcan S (Rs 6.40 lakh).Super Meteor 650 featuresA top-of-the-line product from the Chennai-based manufacturer, Super Meteor 650 will be getting some premium hardware. Key among them is USD forks at front. Super Meteor will be among the first of Royal Enfield bikes to get USD forks. As of now, 650 twins Continental GT and Interceptor have standard telescopic forks at front.USD forks offer multiple benefits such as improved stability, higher cornering speed and safer braking. At rear, Super Meteor has twin shocks, similar to the ones used on 650 twins. The bike has disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS will be offered as standard. Front wheel is slightly larger, whereas the rear wheel has a wide tyre for optimal traction.Royal Enfield 650cc Cruiser New Spy ShotsIn terms of styling, Super Meteor 650 has round headlamp and rear view mirrors, tear-drop fuel tank, split seat, a long exhaust pipe and broad rear fender. The scooped-up rider seat comes with thick foam, which should ensure adequate comfort during long-distance touring. Handlebar is positioned at a raised height and the footpegs are forward set.Super Meteor 650 specsPowering Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will be the same engine as used with 650 twins. The 648cc, parallel-twin, air-oil-cooled motor pumps 47.6 PS of max power and 52 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. Super Meteor 650 is expected to get assist and slipper clutch. For reference, the 649 cc, liquid cooled, parallel twin motor onboard Kawasaki Vulcan S generates 61 PS and 62.4 Nm.Instrument cluster could be similar to that of Meteor 350. The bike has a larger semi-digital dial on the left and the smaller tripper navigation display on the right. Considering the growing preference for connectivity tech, Super Meteor 650 could get some new connectivity features.Royal Enfield 650cc Cruiser New Spy ShotsApart from Super Meteor 650, Royal Enfield is working on a couple of other 650cc bikes as well. These will help the company to maintain its dominance in the middleweight segment. In 500cc+ motorcycle segment, 650 twins currently command a market share of more than 80%. New Royal Enfield 650cc Cruiser is expected to make its global debut at the EICMA 2022 in Milan next month.Image source More

Royal Enfield Conti GT 865 As A Limited Edition Cerra GT 865

Cerra GT 865 gets a fully faired body like a sports bike that is entirely made up of resin-infused carbon fibreRoyal Enfield Conti GT 865Royal Enfield and racing don’t seldom go hand-in-hand. This is 2022 and the times have changed. Certainly for Royal Enfield, at least. Royal Enfield was rarely associated with performance or lap-times or corner carving. With its 650cc platform, Royal Enfield has opened a portal to what feels like a parallel universe. We say this because 650cc platform comes at an affordable price point and offers decent performance despite its weight. Continental GT 650 is sportier than Interceptor 650. That’s not the extent of sportiness that the GT 650 can achieve. We have seen the GT-R 650 that races at Continental GT Cup. Now, Skunk Machine has come up with their version of this bike. Named Cerra GT 865, this motorcycle is limited to just 25 units. It comes with a fully faired body that is made entirely of resin-infused carbon fibre. Tempted? Let’s take a look.Royal Enfield Conti GT 865 – Cerra GT 865 By Skunk MachineContinental GT 650 is a sporty Cafe Racer motorcycle with a lot of character. Spiritual successor to Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, GT 650 is a far more likeable machine. Cerra GT 865 is built by Carl Cerra from Skunk Machine, a custom modder based in Greensborough Melbourne, Australia.Custom SC Project Slip On ExhaustThis custom motorcycle is only limited to 25 units. Carl Cerra has stuck to a minimalist approach toward this motorcycle. Mechanically, the motorcycle is now enhanced to displace 865cc. It gets dual slip-on exhaust from SC Project along with custom headers. Not just that, the throttle body is now 40mm and with exposed air intake, we can expect this motorcycle to make a lot more power than 47.65 PS of the stock bike. With more oomph, there should be more stopping power as well. Skunk has equipped Cerra GT 865 with a dual disc setup at the front. With Brembo calipers, stopping power is given a boost. Front end is completely custom with front USD forks from a 2015 model GSX-R600. Wheels are still of wire-spoke type. But the wheel size has gone down to 17” from 18”.The stock body panels are completely gone. Cerra has stuck with a stock fuel tank. The fairing covers the entire front of the motorcycle with a circular LED headlight and a Cerra GT 865 badging on top. The fairing is made of resin-infused carbon fibre which has been kept unpainted to reveal its intricate weave pattern.Royal Enfield Conti GT 865Specs & FeaturesRear section has been kept clean with just one panel. Single seat is optioned with a rear cowl. An LED light bar is placed below the cowl that doubles up as a tail-light and side-turn indicator. At the back, this custom motorcycle gets a fatter slick tyre that promises a lot of traction on the track. At the front, Cerra GT 865 gets bar-end LED side-turn indicators.Skunk Machine has equipped Cerra GT 865 with a modern smartphone-like instrument cluster that also doubles up as a dash-cam display with a camera neatly integrated. This allows users to record their track-day excursions from motorcycle’s POV. Pricing is not yet announced and the availability outside Australia is also not yet revealed. Royal Enfield Conti GT 865 production is limited to just 25 units. More

Royal Enfield 650 Continental GT Gets Touring Friendly – Modified

RE Continental GT 650 gets the most powerful engine Royal Enfield has ever made along with Interceptor 650Royal Enfield 650 Continental GT ModifiedRoyal Enfield is currently the top dog in retro classic motorcycles. With Classic 350 and newly launched Hunter 350, Royal Enfield has reached new heights and has smoked its rivals completely. RE has also launched Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 which form around 90% of 500cc+ motorcycle sales.Continental GT 650 is the spiritual successor of Continental GT 535. This motorcycle came with Cafe Racer looks that was unlike any Royal Enfield before it. But it wasn’t well received and soon fell into limbo. With the 650cc parallel-twin engine, RE gave it a breath of fresh air. Royal Enfield is popular among modding community and has spawned a lot of custom bikes. Here, we have a touring-friendly Continental GT 650 which is absolutely rad. One would think that a custom touring bike would be based on an Interceptor 650. But, that is not the case here. One look at this custom tourer, it is a far cry from a Cafe Racer which is Continental GT 650. Let’s take a look.Touring Friendly Continental GT 650The main thing that draws attention is its paint scheme. With Nardo Grey as its base coat, this custom tourer gets gloss black elements to spruce up things. This colour scheme looks radically more premium from all the colours that Continental GT 650 gets in its stock avatar. Entire engine bay is finished in matte black to give it a stealthy appeal which complements the Nardo Grey.Royal Enfield Continental GT CustomWe have a new engine guard finished in black. The centre of attraction is its custom handlebar. Stock GT 650 gets clip-on bars that require its rider to get into a sporty posture. A little too committed when compared to Interceptor 650. This custom tourer gets a tall handlebar that reminds us of custom choppers that offer a comfortable posture suitable for long rides. This touring friendly Continental GT 650 gets provision for a top box and two panniers. It also gets a custom grab rail along with reworked seats to aid its rider in mile munching. Other highlights include a larger fly screen that provides a lot of protection from wind blasts. Stock bike only gets a small fly screen which is mainly for aesthetics.Stock bike gets a round headlight with normal halogen bulbs. This touring friendly Continental GT gets an after-market LED setup that should provide more throw and intensity. All these upgrades make this custom tourer a lot more tourer friendly which the stock bike could not have pulled off.Royal Enfield 650 Continental GT ModifiedSpecs & ComponentrySuspension setup and even wheels are retained from the stock bike. So are its brakes. With 320mm disc at front and 240mm disc at back, coupled with Dual-channel ABS as standard, GT 650 offers good braking performance. Its spoked wheels get a black finish that looks better than stock. This touring friendly Continental GT 650 is powered by a 648cc parallel-twin engine that makes 47 bhp of power and 52 Nm of torque. It is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox that also gets a slipper clutch. This is by far the smoothest Royal Enfield engine ever made.Source More

Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler Spied With Single Exhaust Setup

After expanding its 350cc range, Royal Enfield is looking to aggressively target the 650cc segment by launching multiple new bikesRoyal Enfield 650cc Scrambler SpiedWith 650 twins emerging as popular options in domestic and international markets, there seems ample scope to accommodate more body styles. Based on sightings of test mules, there are at least three new 650cc Royal Enfield bikes under development. Latest spy shots are from UK, where a 650cc scrambler version has been spotted on road tests. It is possible that Royal Enfield’s 650cc scrambler could be launched as ‘Constellation’. This name was used earlier by Royal Enfield for its 700cc bike sold in North America between 1958 and 1963. In India, both ‘Constellation’ and ‘Royal Enfield Constellation’ trademarks have been registered by Eicher Motors.Royal Enfield 650cc scrambler spiedRoyal Enfield 650cc scrambler shares several of its features with other 650cc test mules spotted earlier on road tests. Retro styling is apparent, with features such as round headlamp, rear view mirrors, turn indicators and rear tail lamp. The bike has a dual-pod instrument cluster, which is likely to be same as 650 twins. Tear-drop shaped fuel tank has familiar contours as seen with Interceptor. While the engine is the same as 650 twins, one key difference is the single-exit exhaust. The exhaust canister is a stubbier unit with blacked-out finish, as compared to extended, metallic shaded units used with 650 twins. The changes to the exhaust setup should ensure enhanced agility and manoeuvrability, which will come handy during rush hour traffic.Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler SpiedOther key features of Royal Enfield 650cc scrambler include inverted front forks, single-piece saddle, wire-spoke wheels and racing-inspired side panels. At rear, the bike seems to be using a new pair of dual shock absorbers. Both ends have disc brakes and will be offered with dual-channel ABS as standard.Royal Enfield’s upcoming 650cc scrambler has a comfortable, upright riding stance. With centrally mounted foot pegs and ergonomic handlebar position, users can expect to cover long distances with minimal discomfort. India-specific components such as saree guard can also be seen on the test mule.Royal Enfield 650cc scrambler performancePowering the 650cc scrambler will be the 648cc, parallel-twin motor that does duty on 650 twins. It generates 47 bhp of max power and 52 Nm of peak torque. While the engine will be offered in the same state of tune as 650 twins, the scrambler could have a better power-to-weight ratio. With the single-exit, stubbier exhaust unit, RE 650cc scrambler will be lighter in comparison to 650 twins.Apart from its 350cc and 650cc range, Royal Enfield is also working to improve Himalayan. A new 450cc Himalayan is currently under development, which will be aiming to fix the limitations reported with Himalayan 411. While power and torque will be on the higher side, Himalayan 450 will also get some new features such as USD front forks. It will have a sportier body style to establish a better connect with evolving consumer preferences.Source More
