Royal Enfield 450cc Bike Spotted With Accessories – Scram 450?

Royal Enfield 450cc bike is likely to be Scram 450Royal Enfield 450cc bike is likely to be a variation of RE’s 390 Duke rival, with Scrambler-y design bitsExpanding product portfolio to include new and exciting body styles is Royal Enfield’s newest agenda. The Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer has found unprecedented response in the past couple of years. Resulting in utter dominance in neo-retro and classic motorcycles in India and global markets.Extending this popularity to multiple new segments is key to broadening Royal Enfield’s current horizon. Ride with Kali channel recently uploaded a video about RE’s new 450cc motorcycle which could either be Scram 450 or Roadster 450 (390 Duke rival). This test mule even features a set of accessories as well.Royal Enfield KTM 390 rival – Is it a Scram 450 with slicker tyres?Speculations suggest Royal Enfield is foraying into street-naked motorcycles to rival the likes of KTM 390 Duke as well. If we look at Royal Enfield’s arsenal of test mules, there is a motorcycle that fits the bill perfectly. There is a sportier (by Royal Enfield standards) test mule spotted testing alongside Himalayan 450.If this is Royal Enfield’s sportiest motorcycle, the recent test mule is a slightly ruggedised version of that which is likely to take the Scram 450 name. On closer inspection, it has very minimal body panels, a smaller subframe and a single-piece seat. All these are similar to its Roadster counterpart.[embedded content]What Scram gets additionally is saddle stay along with jerry can mounts. This version is likely to sport block-pattern tyres and not a lot more. Round headlights lend it a neo-retro look. It will share the same 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with similar power and torque figures.Remember Bullet Trials? A similar strategy, where Royal Enfield can carve Scram 450 and Street 450 from a similar product. This particular test mule had accessories too. A rear top box, a small windscreen and bar-end mirrors. Unlike a Himalayan 450, Scram 450 skimps on USD telescopic forks too. Alloy wheels seem to be 17 inches at both ends.Royal Enfield is planning three different motorcycles on its 450cc platform. First of the lot will be Himalayan 450. Scram 450 and KTM 390 rival street bikes will follow later. Himalayan 450 will be the heaviest of this lot. Only Himalayan 450 is getting USD telescopic front forks. Both Scram 450 and Street 450 will get conventional telescopic front forks.RE Scram 450 stubby exhaustWhat to expect from the upcoming Street 450?LED headlights, sleek horizontal seat-integrated LED tail lights, LED turn indicators, rear mono-shock, round ORVMs, single-piece seat, 35 bhp of power and 40 Nm of torque, a 6-speed gearbox are some of the likely elements with Scram 450 and Street 450. Rivals include BMW G 310 R, KTM 390 Duke, Yezdi Roadster and more.Given the sheer number of motorcycles that Royal Enfield currently is testing, we would wager that Royal Enfield Street 450 is likely to launch by the end of 2024. We expect Himalayan 450, Bullet 350 and Classic 350 Bobber to hit the road first. Royal Enfield has a four motorcycles per-year strategy and it would be interesting to see which of these many motorcycles will see the light of day first.Scram 450 test mules with accessories More

2023 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Spied Testing – Gets LED Headlight

2023 Royal Enfield Meteor 350Meteor 350 could become the first 350cc motorcycle from Royal Enfield to feature an LED headlight setupRoyal Enfield rules the 350cc motorcycle segment. In April 2023, their sales in the 350cc segment were over 62k units. Despite having a market share of over 90% in the segment, Royal Enfield continues to be focused on updating their 350cc motorcycles. In comes MY2023 RE Meteor 350, spied testing for the first time. This particular test mule is based on top-spec Supernova trim, but features wire-spoke rims, a silver-finished engine bay and for the first time in Royal Enfield’s 350cc portfolio, an LED headlight. Let’s take a look at everything new.MY2023 RE Meteor 350 Spotted TestingWith this MY2023 update, Royal Enfield is aiming at adding a few more features to the Meteor 350. These new updates with Meteor 350 are likely to bring more retro-ness and classic-ness.We say this because Meteor 350 has always embraced a neo-retro cruiser look, instead of a classic cruiser look. Elements lending Meteor 350 a neo-retro appeal are alloy wheels and a blackened engine bay. Royal Enfield is bringing more chrome into the equation that will uplift its classic appeal considerably.2023 Royal Enfield Meteor 350More chrome is in the form of wire-spoke rims, engine bay finish (think Classic 350 Chrome Red) and headlight housing garnish. Adding more retro charm is an all-new front fender too. Rather, an all-new mud guard for the front fender brings an old-world charm of the yesteryears. Hat tip to automotive enthusiast Aditya Raja for sharing these exclusive spy shots.Mechanically similar to current modelThis new test mule is based on top-spec Supernova trim. Except for the new LED headlights, design changes and chrome additions are less likely to feature on Fireball and Stellar variants. Fuel tank is similar to the current model too. So, no 20L fuel tank like RE offered on the Thunderbird 350 and 500.Mechanically, the same 349cc J-series engine will power the MY2023 RE Meteor 350. Performance figures stand at 20.2 bhp of power at 6100 RPM and 27 Nm of torque at 4000 RPM, mated to the same 5-speed gearbox. The wire-spoke rim variant of Supernova trim along with new chrome additions will probably sell alongside existing variant with black engine bay and alloy wheel.2023 Royal Enfield Meteor 350While LED headlights will be part of the entire variant range. A small price hike could be associated with this update. Currently, Meteor 350 range costs Rs. 2.04 lakh for Fireball, Rs. 2.10 lakh for Stellar and Rs. 2.25 lakh for Supernova trims (all prices ex-sh). More

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 wheelbase in focus – Is this the longest RE?

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 spiedThe new 450cc engine on Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is likely to generate around 30 bhp of power and 40 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearboxRoyal Enfield Himalayan is a very popular motorcycle which has captivated ADV fans not only in India, but in global markets as well. Current version is based on the 411cc platform. Royal Enfield is readying a 450cc platform to spawn 5 different motorcycles. First of which, will be Himalayan 450.The new spy shots lend a whole new perspective on how long Himalayan 450 will be, thanks to a really long wheelbase. Visually longer than Himalayan 411’s 1,465mm wheelbase. If that is the case, Himalayan 450 will be the longest wheelbase in Royal Enfield’s product portfolio. Also, there is a very good possibility that Himalayan might not come with 21” front wheel as standard.Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 may not get 21″ front wheels as standardRoyal Enfield’s new camouflaging strategies involve cardboard and plastic corrugated sheets as well. Automotive enthusiast Guru Prasad Viswanathan spotted this test mule. The new spy shots lend perspectives, two of which are of stark prominence. One, Himalayan 450 will pack a really long wheelbase. And two, this test mule seems to be equipped with a 17” or 18” front rim. It could be the camera’s angle or uneven terrain, but this wire-spoke front rim doesn’t look like it is 21” in size as outgoing Himalayan 411 and previous test mules.Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 spiedThis might be a conscious choice by Royal Enfield to offer a low seat height for shorter riders. Something similar to KTM 390 Adventure V with suspension components from 390 Duke. Most Himalayan 450 buyers in the future might appreciate this gesture as it aids in handling this motorcycle and flat-footing capability. This version will have reduced ground clearance. Current Himalayan 411 has a 17” rear wheel. New Himalayan 450 could sport an 18” rear wheel like that of an Xpulse 200.Longer wheelbase increases straight-line stabilityOther notable elements include USD front telescopic forks and rear mono shock unit (both non adjustable), a large circular instrument console, a tall windscreen, a stubby exhaust (not very up-swept) and luggage mounts at front and rear, LED headlights, LED tail lights and LED turn indicators. The new 450cc engine will produce around 30 bhp of power and 40 Nm of torque. This new engine gets a liquid-cooling setup and is likely to feature a 6-speed gearbox. The long wheelbase will enhance straight-line stability and cross-wind protection. High ground clearance should ensure acceptable lean angles as well.Launch of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected later this year, at the EICMA 2023. It could be priced in the Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh range. More details will be revealed as the launch date gets closer. More

Royal Enfield INT 650 Based Katana Scrambler by Neev Motorcycles

Royal Enfield Katana 650 Scrambler based on Interceptor 650A lot of aftermarket accessories, custom CNC and lathe machined components along with hand-crafted elements make Neev Motorcycles KatanaRoyal Enfield motorcycles are one of the favourites for custom jobs. It is like a vanilla ice cream which can take any sort of toppings, mixed flavours and sprinkles too. Neev Motorcycles is one of the most renowned motorcycle modders in the country.Their newest creation Katana is based on a donor bike that started life as a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Now, Neev has transformed this vanilla cruiser into a flavourful scrambler-style motorcycle flexing on its newfound muscle. Katana screams sophistication and style and reflects Neev Motorcycles’ designing prowess.Royal Enfield Katana 650 Scrambler based on Interceptor 650Neev Motorcycles Katana – The Scrambler Interceptor 650 wish it wasOne look at Neev motorcycles Katana is enough to appreciate the design language. Neev has not digressed from Interceptor 650’s original design. But enhanced it in a way that comes off as tasteful and macho. The main elements contributing to that effect are front USD telescopic forks and side mounted and vertically stacked instrument clusters.Along with these, 170/60-17 front block pattern tyres lend an aggressive approach. The same tyre wrapped on 17” wheel is at the rear too. Both wheels get covers to make the design sleeker and more sophisticated. Unlike other builds in the past, Neev didn’t go for a dual disc setup at the front. Instead, they chose to upgrade the front caliper to a 4-pot unit, kept rear setup unchanged.Royal Enfield Katana 650 Scrambler based on Interceptor 650To make Katana, Neev hand-fabricated a lot of components. Some of these include front and rear mudguards, side body panels, detailing on its fuel tank, wheel covers, exhaust system and its protective covers, a new subframe along with a new tail tidy, a stylish sump guard that doubles as engine cowl, number plate holders and the setup for repositioned instrument consoles.Royal Enfield Katana 650 Scrambler based on Interceptor 650Ribbed seat is custom too and screams Scrambler design and Neev has added a bolt-on backrest as well. CNC machined wide triple tree is made out of billet aluminium, custom CNC machined clip on handlebars and Neev is offering lathe-machined disc brake fittings, axles and spacers as well. The intricately finished colour schemes look swanky.Interceptor 650 will Scramble On with this new mod jobThe only oddity in this build is in its exhaust system. Neev has installed Akropovic branded exhaust end cans on both sides. On its left exhaust, this end can is not mirrored. In this sense, it is optimised for right-side exhaust applications and looks slightly odd when installed on the left side. Neev could have gone for exhaust rerouting into one right-side high-set Scrambler-style exhaust too.Royal Enfield Katana 650 Scrambler based on Interceptor 650Maybe customer briefing dictated this end-result. Other than that, Neev Motorcycles Katana is a heart throbber. Neev Motorcycles has installed a lot of high-end aftermarket components on Katana. Some of them are LED headlights, LED tail lights, LED blinkers, exhaust mufflers, a rear tyre hugger, ORVMs and handlebar grips. In other news, Royal Enfield is coming up with a new Scrambler based on Interceptor 650. It can take the name Interceptor Bear 650 (trademarked). The company might launch it in 2024. More

Royal Enfield Interceptor BEAR 650 Name Trademark – For Scrambler?

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 BEAR. Image – Bullet Guru. The single exhaust setup can make the upcoming Interceptor BEAR 650 the lightest RE 650ccRoyal Enfield currently has around 13 motorcycles planned for launch. The company is bracing for an action-packed future. They will be increasing production with an all-new facility. There are a total of six 650cc motorcycles in the works, out of which, Royal Enfield recently trademarked a name for one. That trademarked name is “Interceptor Bear 650” in New Zealand and “Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650” in India and Australia. Bear name signifies something that dwells in the woods. So, an off-roader of sorts. But the name also has 650 in it and Himalayan 650 test mule sightings are still zero. So, this could be a Scrambler, already spotted testing multiple times.RE Scram 650 Might Get Interceptor Bear 650 NamePreviously believed to be Scram 650, is likely to be called Interceptor Bear 650 when launched. The name makes sense in Royal Enfield’s product portfolio as it is based on an Interceptor 650, to begin with. Trademarking a name is often a hassle. Royal Enfield sold Interceptor 650 in the USA as Int 650 as Honda owns the trademark for Interceptor name there. This upcoming scrambler motorcycle is a derivative of Interceptor 650. Test mules have made multiple appearances both here in India and abroad. It dons the same frame, fuel tank and even its engine. What the Scrambler has different, is an upgraded suspension and exhaust system.Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 BEARFront suspension setup gets USD telescopic forks as opposed to RSU (Right Side Up) telescopic forks on Interceptor 650. This should enable athleticism in the way it handles. We hope these are not the same forks from Super Meteor 650 with less travel. Rear suspension is still twin shockers. These are different from the ones found on Interceptor 650 with an external gas chamber.Rear subframe is changed and is slightly angled upwards. The main change is in its single-sided exhaust. This is not high-set as expected from a typical Scrambler. There is a new exhaust header as well routing both channels into one pipe. One less exhaust will reduce overall kerb weight. This can potentially be the lightest 650cc offering from Royal Enfield to date. The same 650cc Parallel Twin motorOther changes with Interceptor Bear 650 (believed RE Scram 650) are circular LED tail lights, LED headlights, block pattern tyres and not a lot more. The 648cc parallel twin air/oil-cooled engine generates 47 bhp of power and 52 Nm of torque. Royal Enfield might tune this engine differently on the Scrambler to establish a slightly different character.A 6-speed gearbox, slip and assist clutch, wire-spoke rims, an optional tripper screen with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation are notable features. Speaking of prices of Interceptor Bear 650, Rs. 3.5 to 3.7 lakh should make it an interesting proposition. More

It indicates that the bike could be launched soon. It can be offered at a starting price of around Rs 2.5 lakh. As of now, none of the existing single cylinder RE bikes have these features.Other highlights of Himalayan 450 include raised front beak, a compact windscreen, upmarket switchgear, large radiator at front, rugged engine guard and new brake fluid reservoir. The bike has rally-style foot pegs for improved traction in slippery conditions. Rubber inserts will be available for foot pegs, allowing users to customize based on their riding conditions.[embedded content][embedded content]In terms of ergonomics, the bike has a fairly upright stance. While it looks just as tall as the current model, Himalayan 450 has a scooped seat that will help improve balance and handling. With the raised handlebar and elevated front section, users should be able to ride effortlessly standing up on the foot pegs. Even shorter users should not have any major issues riding Himalayan 450.Himalayan 450 performance, specsWhile official engine specs are not known, it is likely to be a liquid cooled unit. Himalayan 450 can deliver around 35 bhp of max power and 40 Nm of peak torque. In comparison, the existing Himalayan has a 411cc engine that makes 24.3 bhp and 32 Nm.Himalayan 450 can be equipped with a 6-speed gearbox. Tripper screen may not be required, as Himalayan 450’s digital instrument is likely to be equipped with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. More

    13 Upcoming Royal Enfield Motorcycles – 2 in 350cc, 5 in 450cc, 6 in 650cc

Royal Enfield 650cc test mules spiedOf all 13 upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycles, Himalayan 450 has the highest probability of breaking covers first
Royal Enfield has revealed that they have plans to launch 13 new motorcycles over the next few years. These new motorcycles will be launched in a phased manner owing to their four motorcycles per year strategy in the next three or four years.
These 13 motorcycles from Royal Enfield will be launched in the 350cc, 450cc and 650cc segment. In their official report, Royal Enfield has revealed details. 6 new motorcycles will be launched on the 650cc platform, 5 motorcycles will be launched on the 450cc platform while the 350cc platform will get only 2 new motorcycles.
Royal shares launch plans of 13 new motorcycles
    1. Bullet 350
This is by far the most iconic model from Royal Enfield. Iconic Bullet 350 will step into a new generation with J-Series platform. The new 350cc J-series engine is renowned for cutting down on spine-shattering vibrations that outgoing Bullet 350 engine architecture is associated with. We expect a styling exercise too, without deviating much from the OG charm.
2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350cc New Gen. Image – Bullet Guru
    2. Classic 350 Bobber
Royal Enfield is testing a new Bobber and it is based on its best-seller Classic 350. Testing has commenced and it was spotted recently. Spy shots reveal a similar wheelbase to Classic 350. But it donned a chunkier exhaust and a new taller handlebar. Both Bullet 350 and Classic 350 Bobber will come equipped with a 349cc J-series engine developing 20 bhp and 27 Nm.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber vs Classic 350 Single seat
    3. Himalayan 450
This is one of the most anticipated on this list and is likely to launch ahead of the other twelve. Testing is in full swing. Himalayan 450 will lock horns with fast-paced KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS and upcoming Hero Xpulse 4XX. It will feature USD front forks, LED lighting all around, a circular fully digital instrument cluster and more.
    2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
    4. Roadster 450
Behold Royal Enfield’s KTM 390 Duke and BMW G 310 R rival. This is a perfect example of how Royal Enfield grew in the past years and dared to traverse into uncharted waters. This will be the sportiest offering from the brand to date. Roadster 450 (name not confirmed) will miss out on USD forks that its larger sibling Himalayan 450 will get. So, pricing is likely to be competitive.
    Royal Enfield Scram 450
    5. Continental GT-R 450
The fully faired Continental GT-R 450 is a derivative of Roadster 450 (both names not confirmed). It will primarily rival KTM RC 390 and BMW G 310 R. Sporty credentials, sharp handling (in Royal Enfield’s standards) and a distinct design are some of its notable elements. The 450cc engine on all these will get liquid cooling. We expect performance numbers in 30 bhp and 40 Nm ballpark.
    6. Scram 450
Another derivative of the 450cc platform. Name is highly likely and it will get an even minimal body style. We expect rugged overall appearance in the form of a headlight grille, under-seat exhaust, knobby tyres and a front beak. Spoke wheels and long travel suspension will be thrown in the mix as well.
    7. Rally 450
This is the 5th variation based on the 450cc platform. The is an unconfirmed name and will be a more ruggedised version of Himalayan 450. However, we predict a smaller probability of it launching for general consensus. We would wager that it will be Royal Enfield’s rally-spec machine to rival Hero MotoCorp.
    8. Hunter 650
Only a few of the supposedly Shotgun 650 test mules are bobber-style with a single seat. So, it is high time that we drew references to Hunter 650 (not confirmed). It gets an overall similar silhouette as Shotgun 650, except rear seats. Similar strategy is used for Classic 350 Bobber based on Classic 350. Is this the first of upcoming new 650cc offerings from Royal Enfield? Probably.
2023 Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 or Hunter 650?
    9. Continental GT-R 650
The Chennai-based manufacturer raised eyebrows when it spawned GT Cup 2022. Royal Enfield and racing were never associated in a sentence before until then. Motorcycles racing in it were a lighter and fully-faired version of Continental GT 650 called Continental GT-R 650. Royal Enfield is testing a similar fairing on Continental GT 650 for production. Will the name stick? Time will tell.
    10. Scram 650
Royal Enfield has commenced testing for this machine already. Scram 650’s name could stick too. We can see a single exhaust along with a different rear subframe too. We would like longer travel suspension, knobby tyres, wire-spoke rims and other Scrambler elements to make it on Scram 650.
Royal Enfield Scram 650cc Spied. Image – Bullet Guru
    11. Shotgun 650
The company had showcased SG 650 concept some time ago. It is a handsome machine and we expect the production model to inherit most of its attractive design traits. We predict the Shotgun 650 name to stick as well. Similar styling with Hunter 650 with a single seat layout is likely.
Upcoming Royal Enfield 650cc Shotgun Spied In Traffic
    12. Himalayan 650
This is a no-brainer. Himalayan has always been a strong case for Royal Enfield and a 650cc version of it is even more exciting. We hope it gets similar componentry from Himalayan 450 and has more off-road credentials to take on the well-established middle-weight ADVs like Suzuki V-Strom 650, Kawasaki Versys 650 and Triumph Tiger Sport 660.
    13. Bullet 650
Ah, the Bullet 650. Ironically, this list started with a Bullet and is ending with a Bullet. There is not much to say about this. It is a Bullet 650. The original, the classic and an absolute timeless legend. Prospect of a large-capacity Bullet is enticing and Royal Enfield had a 500cc version earlier. So enticing, that I would buy one when launched. More
