    Without subsidy, price of Ola S1 is Rs 99k and that of the Ola S1 PRO is Rs 1.3 lakh. With subsidy, prices start from Rs 80k for the S1 and Rs 1.1 lakh for the S1 PRO in Gujarat. Below are the detailed prices with subsidy of new Ola Electric Scooters.
    Ola Electric Scooter Price List
    Deliveries will start from Oct 2021. There will be no dealerships. Orders are to be placed online, and the scooter will be delivered home. Service will also be done at your home. All you need to do is book a service appointment, and the technician will visit home.
    Ola Scooters come with no keys. You can lock / unlock the scooter using your phone or code on the touchscreen. It can also sense when you are near and unlock itself.     Ola scooter comes across as a no-frills product, focused exclusively on providing the best possible experience to customers. It has a fairly simple design, which looks kind of cute.     Ride-hailing major- Ola, has stepped into electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry of India. After months of anticipation, Ola will finally launch its first electric scooter Series S1 tomorrow, 15th Aug 2021. Ahead of that, Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has revealed the price of their Ola S1 electric scooter in the teaser video below. Bookings of the e-scooter had already commenced a few days at a refundable token amount of Rs 499.
    Customers will be delivered their Ola e-scooter directly to their doorstep. According to the company, over 1 lakh bookings had been received on the first day of the booking from as many as 10,000 places across the country.
    Ola S1 Electric Scooter Price
    Ola S1 is based on Etergo Appscooter since Ola acquired the Dutch EV brand in May last year. Hence, most of its specs and features have been borrowed from its Dutch twin. This includes alloy wheels, a Lithium-ion battery, a digital instrument console, cloud connectivity and more.

    Now that we know that price of Ola Electric scooter ahead of its launch, lets talk about other details. Apart from these, earlier teasers had revealed that the electric scooter will offer some class-leading attributes such as 50-litre under-seat storage and app-based keyless access. It is offered in as many as nine colour options including Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, Gold, Pink, Black, Blue, Grey and White and in three different finishes- matte, metallic and pastel.
    Specifications
    In terms of dimension, the scooter measures 1,860mm in length, 700mm in width and 1,155mm in height. It offers a saddle height of 800mm and a wheelbase of 1,345mm while it tips the weighing scales at just 74 kilos. As seen in the earlier images, the Ola e-scooter features a quirky-looking twin-beam LED headlight with an LED DRL strip around the main cluster. Since its dimensions are compact, its riding dynamics also seem fairly simple.
    Series S will be powered by a 3.6kWh battery pack which feeds energy to a 6kW electric motor that offers a top speed of 100kmph and a 0-45kmph acceleration in just 4.5 seconds. Its powertrain specs also make it eligible for all the benefits listed under the revised FAME II policy. This powertrain returns a range of 150km on a single charge.
    Ola FutureFactory
    The uni-structural body frame of the Ola e-scooter is suspended on telescopic forks at front and a horizontally-mounted shock absorber at rear. The scooter is being manufactured at the newly constructed 500-acre facility of Ola Futurefactory in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu.     Ola Electric scooter will be launched in India on August 15, 2021 at 2 PM. This was officially revealed today by Ola Electric. Ahead of official launch, it has already seen outstanding demand. Ola’s e-scooter is opened for bookings at a refundable amount of Rs 499 and to date, the company has received bookings from over 1,000 cities across the country.
    Bookings crossed 1 lakh orders within 24 hours of opening order books on 15th July 2021, thus making it the most pre-booked scooter in the world. Ola electric scooter deliveries will start across all cities in India on the same day.
    Best in Segment Features
    Ola electric scooter will be offered in 10 colour choices. It will receive a digital instrument cluster, cloud based connectivity, 12 inch tubeless tyres with alloy wheels, LED head, tail lamps and turn signals and best in segment 50 liter under seat storage capacity.
    Segment first features will include keyless experience accessible via the user’s smartphone. The company has also revealed in a recent video that the upcoming electric scooter will get reverse mode.
    Ola Electric Scooter Launch Time Announced
    Ola electric scooter is expected to come with up to 3.6 kWh battery capacity which will make the scooter eligible for FAME-II subsidy. The specs are not yet revealed, but speculations suggest it would offer about 150km range on full charge and acceleration from 0-45 kms in 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 100 km/h.
    Dimensions will stand at 1,860mm length, 700mm width and 1,155mm height. Saddle height will be at 800mm, wheelbase at 1,345mm and kerb weight at 74 kgs. It will get telescopic suspension at the front and rear. It will be offered in multiple variants of which one will be the Ola S1 Pro.
    Charging Network
    As is seen in the case of other electric two wheeler makers, Ola is also in talks with Convergence Energy Services Ltd (CESL) for supply of electric two and three wheelers with charging infrastructure. The upcoming Hypercharger Network will also offer Ola customers with high speed charging facilities along with high speed hyper chargers and home chargers which are offered as standard with the Ola e-scooter. Though there are no price indications as on date, it is likely to be priced somewhere between Rs 1-1.20 lakhs.
    Ola Electric expects to produce over 10 million electric scooters per annum and generate around 10,000 jobs. The electric vehicles would be built at the company’s mega factory in in Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu with total project outlay pegged at Rs 2,354 crore. The plant which will consist of 10 assembly lines and have the capacity to roll out 1 scooter every 2 seconds.     Ola CEO and co-founder, Bhavish Aggarwal, has finally confirmed a launch date for the company’s highly anticipated electric scooter. The e-scooter will officially be launched on 15th August, India’s 75th Independence Day. On the same day, Simple Energy is also launching their electric scooter. Specifications and price of the upcoming scooter are expected to be revealed on the launch date itself.
    Pre-bookings for the electric scooter started a couple of weeks ago at a token amount of just Rs 499. Within 24 hours, the company claimed that it had earned bookings well over a lakh though the current number of bookings is unavailable. What is known is that Ola Electric has received bookings from more than 1,000 cities across India. What is even more fascinating is that Ola has stated that they will start deliveries across India – from Day 1.
    Variants & Colour Options
    Ola Electric, the EV manufacturing arm of the mobility sharing major, has filed three trademarks for three names which are Series S, S1, and S1 Pro. In all probability, the upcoming scooter would be called Series S whereas S1 and S1 Pro are likely to be the two variants on offer.
    The overall design of the e-scooter is expected to remain similar regardless of the variant. The difference between the variants is expected to be in terms of colour options and ride range. Speaking of colour options, the company earlier teased the various paint schemes on offer. The electric scooter will be offered in both matte and glossy finishes in nine shades including Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, Gold, Pink, Black, Blue, Grey and White. It will also get a reverse mode, which is now teased officially.

Once operational, this plant will have an annual production capacity of 2 million units in the first phase.
    In all likelihood, the first batch of scooters will be locally manufactured in India. It appears to be that the S1 and S1 Pro could be two variants of the Ola e-scooter with the S1 being the base variant and the S1 Pro a more premium offering. As for the Series S, this can be the name of the entry level Standard version.
    Booking has opened at a down payment of Rs 499 and buyers placing their orders on the olaelectric portal. The booking amount is fully refundable. The company Chief Bhavish Aggarwal had made the announcement via his official Twitter handle that due to heavy demand, the website was facing issues in accepting bookings but that has now been resolved and the booking process has commenced.
    The Ola Electric scooter will be produced from the brand’s new manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu which will have initial capacity of 20 lakh units per annum. It is into this plant that the company has invested Rs 2,400 crores. The facility is spread over 500 acres and is said to be the largest two wheeler plant in the world and the most advanced Green factory once operations commence. The plant will generate employment for over 2,000 persons initially to go up to 10,000 once it is fully in operation.
