Now Nissan has released pricing information for the 2022 Frontier, giving us a sense of what consumers will have to fork over when the the truck goes on sale soon.
The cheapest version of Nissan’s new mid-size pickup is the Frontier S King Cab 4×2, which starts at $29,015. The extended cab setup, featuring rear-hinged, half-sized rear doors, can be had on the S and SV trim levels, with the SV King Cab 4×2 starting at $31,715. Four-wheel-drive is an additional $3200 on both trims, and all King Cab models come with a six-foot bed.

The Frontier will also come as a crew cab with full-length rear doors, and the most affordable is the S Crew Cab 4×2, starting at $30,515. The Crew Cab also offers an SV model with two wheelbase lengths—the SV Crew Cab 4×2 SWB starts at $33,315 while the long-wheelbase variant is an additional $1900. The range-topper is the off-road-focused Pro-4X, starting at $38,415, although a new two-wheel-drive Pro-X can be had for $35,415. All Crew Cab models use a five-foot bed except the SV LWB, which has a six-footer, and four-wheel-drive is an extra $3000 on Crew Cab models. The Nissan looks to be be more expensive than its competitors when we’re talking about base models. The cheapest 2022 Chevrolet Colorado starts at $26,395, the 2021 Ford Ranger XL costs just $26,015, and the 2021 Toyota Tacoma SR undercuts the Frontier at $27,615. Both the Colorado and Tacoma can get pricier than the Frontier if you opt for the off-road versions, but the Pro-4X splits the milder Colorado Z71 and Tacoma TRD Off Road—the Chevy starts at $39,195 (for a crew cab, short box, four-wheel-drive Z71) and the Toyota starts at $36,915 (for a Double Cab, five-foot bed, manual TRD Off Road). The Frontier will face off against the Chevy and the Toyota when it goes on sale in September.

BMW G310R Modified Into A Fully Faired Race Machine

    2021 BMW G310R Modified
This custom fully faired supersport version of G310R is used to provide track training for beginners at Zhuhai Circuit in China
BMW G 310 R is one of the coolest and fastest entry-level naked motorcycles one can own in India. It has been the wish of many speed enthusiasts for BMW Motorrad to come with a fully-faired supersport version of the same. However, that doesn’t seem to happen in the near future.
Therefore, a few folks have taken matters into their own hands and modified a naked G310R into a fully-faired sports bike. This bike has been custom-built for the Zhuhai Circuit in China where it is used as a track-only race bike. This motorcycle has undergone many cosmetic as well as structural modifications.
    Modified Design
For starters, its design seems to be inspired by BMW Motorrad flagship- S 1000 RR. In order to get this motorcycle in shape, firstly, the makers removed all the unnecessary parts such as the all-LED headlamp, taillight, indicators, and seat from the stock G310R. With the bare-bones structure in front, the motorcycle gets a faired body inspired by S 1000 R dipped in signature BMW tri-colour livery.
A bubble windscreen is attached to the front apron while a sharp tail section is added. The radiator shroud is added although the engine-gearbox assembly gets a new casing finished in gloss black.
    2021 BMW G310R Modified
Also, a race-spec foam seat has been installed in place of the stock saddle. Meanwhile, the conventional straight-line handlebar gives way for a low-slung clip-on setup and the centre-set footpegs are replaced by billet-type rear-set footpegs.
    2021 BMW G310R Modified
    Other Changes & Specs
The race bike rolls on slicks instead of tyres from Michelin. The standard exhaust has been replaced by a Vanhool full system exhaust. Apart from these changes, everything else remains the same.
The custom bike still employs the same tubular frame which is suspended on a pair of beefy golden-coloured USD forks up front and a mono-shock at rear. Attributes such as switchgear, LCD instrument cluster and alloy wheels have been retained from the stock motorcycle.
    2021 BMW G310R Modified
Coming to its performance, this is a spoiler since it only makes 28 PS of maximum power. This is because the standard spec G 310 R is tuned to make 28 PS of power. India- and Euro-spec models are tuned to return an output of 34 PS and 28 Nm of peak torque. The 313cc, single-cylinder engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and now comes with a slipper and assist clutch as standard in the BS6 model.
G310R shares its mechanicals- platform and engine with its adventure tourer sibling G310GS and the supersport TVS Apache RR310. It competes against the likes of KTM Duke 390 and Honda CB300R. More

Evtric Electric Scooter For Deliveries Debuts In India

EVTRIC Electric Scooter For DeliveryEvtric Connect low-speed electric delivery scooter unveiled for B2B customers at EV Expo 2021
Evtric Motors showcased its low-speed B2B e-Delivery scooter at EV Expo 2021 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. EVTRIC Motors also showcased its Axis and Ride electric scooters designed for personal mobility. One of the most impressive aspects of the EV model is its ease of connectivity when it comes to daily charging. This enables electric delivery vehicle fleets to be a cost effective solution.
These new age products are designed to offer an enhanced customer experience, while being competitive in pricing for the B2B market. And would be of interest to industry players contributing to the e-Mobility mission. Focused on delivering business solutions to target audiences, Evtric Connect is built on a compact design, and ensures compliance with environment regulations.
    Evtric Connect ride range
Evtric Connect has an apt riding range showing that the company is serious about making good EVs for the b2b market. It’s aimed to provide delivery connectivity to clients and was designed with that in mind. The low-speed unit can travel at 25 kmph, making it a choice for local deliveries.
Features include 12 inch tubeless tyres. And loading capacity of 150 kgs. Full charge is completed in about three and half hour. This is good to go for over 110 kms on a single charge with two swappable lithium ion battery options. This convenience does any with the need for frequent charging. A great deal of thought goes into appropriate charging solutions as delivery requirements are time-bound components for businesses.
EVTRIC of India or TAILG of China
The images in this post of the electric scooter were shared by EVTRIC. Most of them had the branding of TAILG, which is a Chinese manufacturer of electric vehicles. TAILG claims that they rank No 3 in China and has production plants in Dongguan, Wuxi, Tianjin, Xuzhou and Chengdu. Their headquarter is in Shenzhen.
Locally manufactured, quality electric two wheelers
The cost factor is always a hot topic that is discussed over and over again. And for the most part, many exorbitant comments are heard about it. There are a number of people who would claim that b2b electric scooter fleets in India do not offer reasonable pricing. Yet, most of those people are unaware how some of the new age electric scooter companies make money out of their cost-effective offerings. Catering to the b2b segments means an entire fleet has to be able to deliver efficiently on client needs and specifics.
One of the significant features is load capacity. And also an option that is open to better both space and carrier coverage areas. The carrier options would be broadening further as they are planning to launch more services in the country. Apart from B2B carriers, there are platforms for consumers as well. The company looks forward to cater technology products and services that would be relevant to different markets.
The TAILG branding can be seen on the head unit as well as on the sides
Manoj Patil, MD and Founder, Evtric Motors said, “With over a decade of experience in automation we have stepped in the EV sector. The idea is to contribute towards the ongoing e-Mobility mission. The entire EVTRIC Motors team has been putting in a lot of efforts to present an array of products that serves the purpose, maintaining quality.
It is a popular opinion that EVs are not at par with the combustion engine products. This myth has been holding back the industry. Apart from this, there is a dearth of localisation factor in the most of the products flooding the market. EVTRIC Motors has entered the market with these challenges already addressed. Now customers will enjoy locally manufactured, quality electric two wheelers and experience the difference.”
Building a nationwide delivery network is a priority for Evtric. The company is currently onboarding dealers to have a noticeable presence across various key markets in FY22. Following phase I of expansions plans, the auto manufacturer will further develop its dealership network. More

2022 Toyota Tundra Will Have a Coil-Spring Rear Suspension

Toyota shared images of the 2022 Tundra pickup truck’s suspension, and it ditches the old model’s leaf-spring setup for coil springs in the rear. Control arms are employed up front, and the TRD Pro model has Fox dampers, a red-painted anti-roll bar, and a TRD skid plate. The new Tundra will make its full debut in the coming months, although Toyota has shared a ton of info on the TRD Pro model. Toyota has been testing prototypes of the 2022 Tundra with skirts hiding the truck’s rear suspension setup, hinting that the new truck would ditch its old-timey leaf springs in favor of a more modern system. It has now shared images of the new off-road-focused TRD Pro model’s front and rear suspension setups, confirming that the new truck will employ coil springs out back.

    Toyota

The current-generation Tundra, available from the 2007 through 2021 model years, was equipped with a solid rear axle with leaf springs. The new truck will use coil springs in the rear and continue to have control arms up front. Leaf springs tend to allow for more load capacity, but coil springs can provide a smoother ride. Ram has been employing coil springs on its half-ton pickups since 2009, but the Ford F-150 (other than the new Raptor) and the Chevrolet Silverado use leaf-spring setups in back and have max payloads of 3325 and 2280 pounds. The Ram 1500 can carry a payload of up to 2320 pounds.TRD Pro models will have a lifted suspension equipped with Fox dampers and a red-painted anti-roll bar, which should be exclusive to the TRD Pro model. The off-road-focused model will also get a TRD front skid plate along with Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires sized 285/65.

Look for the full details and specs on the 2022 Toyota Tundra in the coming months, though we already know a little about the truck’s looks, interior, powertrain, and suspension setup. In the meantime, click here for everything we know about the new truck so far.

Ather Electric Scooter Sales Grow By Over 1,100 Percent In July 2021

Ather Electric ScootersAther’s proprietary charging connector, is now free for all – It is being offered to all OEMs to drive faster adoption of EVs
Ather Energy electric scooters – 450 Plus and 450X have set benchmarks in the Indian electric two wheeler segment. The company has been noting outstanding success. To put sales into better perspective, the company celebrated sales with a record Rs 10 crore worth electric scooters sold in July 2021 through Ather Energy Indiranagar experience center in Bengaluru. For the same month, sales at the said outlet touched around 600 units in the past month.
As per FADA, retail sales of Ather electric scooter for July 2021 stands at 1,799 units. This is a huge jump from 144 units sold in the same month last year. Thats a staggering 1,149% jump in sales. Considering the overwhelming demand, Ather Energy had expanded its experience centers 13 cities across India. Since its inception, Ather Energy has also invested in setting up fast-charging network, Ather Grid which have been instrumental in offering normal speed charge options to all electric two and four wheelers free of cost.
    Proprietary Charging Connector
Ather Energy has now announced that the company will offer Proprietary Charging Connectors to other OEMs so that all electric two wheelers have an inter-operable charging platform across the country. This would reduce range anxiety as all scooters would have access to Ather Energy’s 200+ fast charging stations. It would also allow OEMs to build products on this common standard thus reducing investments in infrastructure in setting up individual charging platforms which may only be for EVs from its own brand.
Ather Energy states that this proprietary fast-charging connector supports both AC and DC charging. Its connector size is suitable for all two and three wheelers. It comes with CAN 2.0 communication as well as control and proximity pilot, thus allowing all electric vehicle owners to access any fast charging network across the country.
Ather electric scooter fast charging tech
This common charger has been designed for production at low cost and can be used for mass segment vehicles. It would be on the same lines as CHADEMO, CCS, etc, which are global charging standards for electric four wheelers, except in China.
Ather Charging Connector Tech For Free
The adoption of common fast-charging connector for all electric vehicles has benefit for the EV community at large. Ather is not charging OEMs any sort of fees or royalties. These come for free.
Ather is simply opening up its technology and public fast charging networks so as to enhance the EV appeal to buyers in the country. The company will also be setting up a dedicated support team to work with OERMs for integration and is in talks with several electric vehicle makers to adopt this technology.
Electric vehicles in India have received a great push with new FAME II policies and state governments of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Meghalaya and Karnataka offering added subsidies on electric vehicles. As on date, electric vehicles comprise barely of 1.3 percent of total vehicles in the country. Rising fuel priced along with these central and state government subsidies will go a long way in boosting demand in this sector while having a common charging platform will also aid in its quick adoption. New Hero MotoCorp Electric Scooter Officially Teased – Bajaj Chetak Rival

Hero MotoCorp electric scooterDuring the event, it was confirmed that Hero MotoCorp is currently working on a number of electric vehicles
There have been a lot of conjectures regarding the development of electric two-wheelers from Hero MotorCorp. Right from its launch timeline to its prospective range of products, everything has been ambiguous up until now. The company hasn’t even decided on a brand name for its dedicated electric vehicle (EV) vertical as of now.
As already revealed, it cannot use the brand ‘Hero’ for its EV lineup since this right has been held by Hero Electric, a separate EV manufacturing entity. Amidst all uncertainties, images of what is supposed to be the first electric scooter from the two-wheeler giant have gone viral on the internet.
A pre-production prototype of the upcoming electric scooter from Hero MotoCorp has been teased during the company’s 10th anniversary celebration live stream recently. While the company refrained from divulging any specific details regarding the product, the teaser image does give us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming e-scooter. The scooter shown in the image is an uncamouflaged prototype wearing a white paint scheme.
    Styling of e-scooter
For starters, the scooter appears to stand on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear black alloy wheels which look sporty. The rear wheel also doesn’t feature a hub-mounted motor. The scooter also misses out on double-sided swingarms as found on Gogoro electric scooters patented in India a few months ago.
Dr Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Hero MotoCorp revealed their new electric scooter at their R&D Center in Rajasthan.
Interestingly, as opposed to earlier notions, the upcoming electric scooter from Hero doesn’t share any major styling elements with the two-wheelers from the Taiwanese manufacturer. Therefore, it indicates that this scooter might be indigenously developed by the bikemaker. In fact, the design is very different from the electrified version of Maestro Edge whose testing prototype had been spotted on a couple of occasions earlier.
The blacked-out embellishments on the handlebar, side and rear fenders and floorboard give the scooter a sporty appeal. Other notable design highlights include curvy bodywork, a shoot flyscreen and a lengthy split-seat. The detachable pillion seat suggests this e-scooter could also be offered for last-mile business purposes.
    More Details
During the event, Dr. Pawan Munjal, chairman and CEO, Hero MotoCorp, said that the upcoming electric scooter will be officially revealed soon. He further went on to reveal that the company is currently working on multiple other products, including ones with the battery swapping tech from Gogoro, something that was revealed earlier this year in April. The electric scooter shown in the image above is speculated to be the one to be offered with a fast-charging option.
Upon launch, it will rival the likes of Ola Electric, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and many more. Electric scooter sales are on the rise in India, thanks to reduction in prices and increase in fuel prices. More
