Maruti eVX Prod-Spec Headlights, Tail Lights Spotted For The First Time

Maruti Suzuki eVX Production-spec HeadlightsWhen launched, Maruti Suzuki eVX will rival MG ZS EV and Mahindra XUV400 along with upcoming Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV and othersSuzuki’s first electric vehicle, the eVX, is set to launch sometime in 2025 and the testing is going on in full swing. The engineering samples of eVX have been spotted on multiple occasions. Up until now, these mules donned make-shift temporary headlights and tail lights, while production-spec lighting has just been finalised, revealed by recent spy shots.Maruti Suzuki eVX Production-Spec LightingIndia’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, used to be known for small, light affordable hatchbacks. The narrative has changed in the recent past with vehicles marketed under ‘Utility’ tag having gained centre stage. Suzuki is developing its maiden EV and it takes the shape of an SUV too.Maruti Suzuki eVX Production-Spec LightingCalled eVX, it has been testing both in India and globally for the past year. These test mules showed a lot about the Maruti Suzuki eVX and painted quite a picture in our minds. It adheres to the Suzuki eVX concept showcased in January 2023. Launch is likely to happen in 2025 and India will be a market as well as a production and hub. However, the test mules spotted here in India and abroad didn’t have final production-spec lighting elements. In this sense, they used temporary makeshift projector headlights with exposed halogen tail lights. The new test mules spotted in Southern Europe show production-spec headlights and tail lights.Maruti Suzuki eVX Production-spec Tail LightsThese headlights have LEDs in them, unlike the old temporary headlights seen in previous test mules. Main LED headlights are housed in a projector and the LED DRL signature seems to float above and below this projector. This LED DRL signature seems to be complementing the overall fascia that also has an X-shape design.Tail lights are finalised too and are LEDs. Overall signature is similar to what we saw in Suzuki eVX concept. Top LED in tail lights is likely to connect with the other one with an LED light bar. This particular test mule, however, didn’t possess the new production-spec alloy wheel design we saw with latest spy shots in India.Maruti Suzuki eVX New Alloys Spied In IndiaWhat else do we know so far?Apart from new lighting elements, recent test mules don’t reveal anything new. Something interesting. Say, a rear electric motor. Sadly, that’s not the case. However, speculations suggest there may be a dual-motor AWD variant with eVX along with a single-motor FWD layout option. Both are likely to draw power from a 60 kWh battery, promising around 500 km of range on a single charge. Interiors are fairly premium, befitting of a global car. A floating centre console, large infotainment screen, 360-degree camera, charging port on front-left quarter panel are some of the notable attributes.Source More

New colours spy shots are credited to Bullet Guru.Royal Enfield Guerrilla New Yellow ColourNow, a new yellow shade has also been revealed for Guerrilla 450. Apart from the colour, this yellow variant also gets distinctive checkered-flag graphics on the fuel tank. Among the three colour choices, the yellow one seems the most attractive. Many enthusiasts have also expressed their liking for the yellow Guerrilla.Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 ColoursAnother unique aspect of this variant is that the yellow shade has been used only on the fuel tank and rear tail section. This creates a more exciting contrast with the blacked-out parts. In comparison, the other two colour options have the respective shades applied on the front fender as well. More colour options could be introduced for Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 in the future. More

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Launch Price Rs 16.5 Lakh – RVE Arrival Later

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono LaunchedDucati Hypermotard 698 Mono debuts company’s new Superquadro Mono 659cc single cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 77.5 bhp and 63 NmOne of the most anticipated bikes from Ducati has finally launched in India. We’re talking about Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono, which is debuting the company’s new Superquadro Mono engine. Adhering to Supermoto genre, Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono will soon revv the hearts of enthusiasts in India.Ducati Hypermotard 698 MonoInterestingly, Ducati India has priced Hypermotard 698 Mono at Rs 16.5 lakh, which came as a surprise considering Hypermotard 950 RVE, the L-twin engine equipped motorcycle, costs Rs 50,000 less. That is because Hypermotard 698 is a full import brought as a CBU from either Italy or Thailand.Ducati Hypermotard 698 MonoNot only is Hypermotard 698 Mono a single-cylinder engine, as the name suggests, but it also doesn’t even get a quick shifter as standard. A standard quick shifter is offered with Hypermotard 698 RVE, which will arrive at a later date, for additional cost, of course.Ducati has announced that the new Hypermotard 698 Mono will be on display at their official dealerships starting today. Deliveries of Hypermotard 698 Mono will commence by the end of July. There is only one colour option with Hypermotard 698 Mono – Ducati Red.Ducati Hypermotard 698 MonoDesign is unmistakably Ducati, falling under their Hypermotard range of Supermoto style motorcycles. Distinct Ducati design, sophisticated electronic package, lightweight chassis, and comfortable ergonomics, muscular double exhaust design, Y-shaped alloy wheels, front beak, LED headlights with double C-shape signature are some of the notable attributes of a Hypermotard 698 Mono.Record-breaking Superquadro Mono engineMain highlight, however, is its Superquadro Mono engine. Unlike what the bike’s name suggests, this single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine displaces 659cc and kicks out 77.5 bhp and 63 Nm, making it the most powerful single-cylinder engine in the world. Notable componentry include Marzocchi USD front forks, Sachs mono-shock rear, single disc setup at either end with Brembo M4.32 callipers at the front and more.New Ducati Single Cylinder EngineAll these are mounted on a steel trellis frame and it also gets a fancy aluminium swingarm. There are a few electronic rider aids as well, in the form of ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, and Ducati Power Launch.Statement from Ducati IndiaCommenting on the launch, Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India, said, “The Hypermotard 698 Mono embodies the unbridled thrill of motorcycling in its purest form. This is more than just a machine; it’s a declaration of individuality. Ducati’s engineering prowess is on full display with the world’s most powerful single-cylinder engine, a masterpiece of performance that delivers exhilarating power with every twist of the throttle.Ducati Hypermotard 698 MonoIt now comfortably sits at the pinnacle of a segment which is not the most popular in our country, but we are committed to launch all new Ducati models in India, especially the ones as special and technologically advanced as the Hypermotard 698 Mono!” More

Royal Enfield Electric Bike Design Patent Leaked – Launch In 2025?

Royal Enfield Electric Bike Design PatentWhile the recently patented Royal Enfield electric bike concept has Girder forks, production version may have regular telescopic forksIn a rather surprising turn of events, a new motorcycle design patent has been leaked on the internet and is attracting a lot of eyeballs. Rightfully so, as this design patent is for the upcoming Royal Enfield electric vehicle. However, the question remains whether Royal Enfield will launch this very bike or is it just a concept that they will showcase at 2025 Auto Expo? Let’s take a look.Royal Enfield Electric BikeThe journey of an automaker today depends a lot on their ability to evolve with changing times. Let’s take legacy bike makers like Royal Enfield. The electric future is not very exciting for them. That’s because their entire fanbase is built on the feel and character of motorcycles they sold in the yesteryears.Royal Enfield Electric Bike Design Patent LeakedThat said, Royal Enfield is bravely soldiering on and is foraying into electric realm. Yup! A legacy iconic motorcycle maker like Royal Enfield is coming up with an electric bike and has patented the same in India.Looking at the design of this motorcycle, it reminds us of Royal Enfield Electrik 01 Concept that was leaked a couple of years ago. This is a low-slung cruiser style motorcycle that is likely to pack enough oomph to be comparable with Royal Enfield’s own 350cc motorcycle range.Royal Enfield Electric Bike Design Patent LeakedRoyal Enfield has designed an all-new frame that signifies style as well as function. This stylistically pleasing frame engulfs the bike’s battery case along with a “fuel tank” which may hold bike’s electronics and other control systems, instead of petrol. There is no traditional subframe and the bike has a custom swingarm that somehow reminds me of Himalayan 450.The main frame also has a few side body panels like other bikes. Rear mudguard is round and in keeping with Classic genre. Battery casing has subtle “fins” mimicking Royal Enfield’s air-cooled engine portfolio. Round headlight, down-positioned front turn indicators, round ORVM and single seat setup are notable elements. Will it launch, though? The main highlight, however, is the front suspension setup where we can see girder forks, similar to what we saw on Electrik 01 Concept. Girder forks is such an old concept that I never encountered it in my 4 years of Automobile Engineering degree. Like an outdated relic in today’s world.Royal Enfield Electric Motorcycle RenderGirder forks have two girder arms holding wheel from either side. A top dogbone connects front fork assembly to bike’s mainframe. With bikes getting faster around the corner over the years, Girder forks were considered ineffective and replaced with more modern and robust telescopic forks. So, Royal Enfield electric bike design patent is not likely to be production-spec. Instead, it can be a concept for Royal Enfield to showcase in the upcoming auto shows. Patenting design of concept vehicles is a fairly common practice. Production-spec model might get fatter tyres than seen in this patent and USD front forks. Performance might be around the same ballpark as their 350cc bikes.Royal Enfield Electric Motorcycle More

Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Spied In Production-Guise Alongside Guerrilla 450

Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Spied. Credit – Blue PhoenixJust like Classic 650, Royal Enfield Bullet 650 spied, will continue to be powered by the same 648cc engine with 47 hp and 52 NmRoyal Enfield is on the verge of launching Guerrilla 450 on July 17th, whose specs were leaked last week. Alongside a recent Guerrilla 450 test mule spotted by samshere4u, there was a Bullet 650 test mule in full production-spec guise. Let’s take a closer look.Bullet 650 Spied In Production-GuiseWe have a multitude of new 650cc motorcycles incoming from Royal Enfield. There have been multiple sightings of Interceptor Bear 650 (first a Guerrilla, next a Bear) commonly referred to as Scram 650, then there is a Classic 650 and Bullet 650 in the works. Whatever happened to the sportier Super Meteor 650 with a Cowl and dual-tone alloys or the Continental GT 650 with fairing, huh?Royal Enfield Bullet 650 SideHowever, Classic 650 and Bullet 650 have been under testing a lot lately. More so, with the Classic 650 which is likely to be called Classic 650 Twin, as suggested by the recent trademark filed by the company. Bullet 650, on the other hand, has been spied on abroad more recently and this might very well be the first time it is being tested in India.Compared to the mule spotted abroad, the new mule in India looked more complete and production-spec with a rear grab rail. Except for a few features here and there, the differences between Classic 650 and Bullet 650 will be negligible. As seen in the spy shots, the differences between Bullet 650 and Classic 650 are almost similar to the differences seen between Bullet 350 and Classic.Scram 650 and Classic 650In this sense, Bullet 650 will get a more retro rear mudguard, while Classic 650 gets a more classic one which is rounder. The main differentiator is Bullet 650 will get a single-piece seat reminiscent of the yesteryears, while Classic 650 packs a split seat setup with a more modern look.Specs and featuresRound headlights, teardrop fuel tank, dual pea-shooter exhaust, Super Meteor 650’s main frame and side body panels, and headlight spoilers are common between both bikes. Both get wire-spoke wheels with tube-type tyres and RSU telescopic front forks that put them above 650 Twins (Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650) and below Shotgun 650 and Super Meteor 650.Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Spied In EuropeMechanically, Royal Enfield Bullet 650 spied, will get the same creamy smooth 648cc parallel-twin engine with 47 bhp and 52 Nm. This is an oil-cooled engine and offers a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox. Dominating the 500cc+ segment with around 90% market share, Royal Enfield intends to offer more flavours for its 650cc platform.Between the Bullet 650 and Classic 650, there might be differences in engine and suspension characteristics. Royal Enfield might create a feature deficit, in favour of Classic 650. In this sense, Classic 650 might get more advanced features like a Tripper Dash or a Tripper Screen as standard, but not with Bullet 650.Royal Enfield Bullet 650 ExhaustsSomething similar was seen with upcoming Guerrilla 450, where only the top model gets Tripper Dash, while base model gets an analog-digital speedo with a Tripper Screen accessory. Pricing will be more affordable than Super Meteor 650.Source More
