2023 Lamborghini Urus S Slots below Performante but Packs the Same Power

After revealing the Urus Performante earlier this year, Lamborghini has now shown the new S model. While the S is the entry-level Urus, it still makes 657 hp from its 4.0-liter V-8, the same amount as the track-focused Performante. The S also rides on an air suspension, instead of the steel springs fitted to the Performante.Lamborghini is turning the Urus SUV up to eleven for 2023 with the new Performante model, which debuted last month sporting aggressive styling and packing a more powerful V-8 engine and revised suspension. Now Lamborghini has revealed the 2023 Urus S, which replaces the standard Urus but arrives with the same 657 horsepower as the more dialed-in Performante. That represents a 16 horsepower boost over the outgoing base Urus, and the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 also spits out 627 pound-feet of torque. Lamborghini says the Urus S will hit 62 mph in 3.5 seconds, 0.2 second behind its claim for the lighter Performante. 124 mph is said to arrive in 12.5 seconds, one second adrift of the Performante but still blisteringly quick for a vehicle weighing nearly 5000 pounds. Top speed is a claimed 190 mph, and Lamborghini says the Urus S can brake from 62 mph down to a stop in around 110 feet. While the Performante rides on steel springs, the Urus S uses an air suspension, which can be set to street, track, and off-road modes. The Urus S gets a revised front bumper with horizontal grille elements replacing the hexagonal design of the outgoing model, and a new matte-black stainless steel skidplate protects the underside of the car. The hood is made from carbon fiber and features the same thin air vents as the Performante, which can be optioned in gloss black, body color, or carbon fiber. The Urus can also be specced with a carbon fiber roof, and the rear bumper adopts the sharper styling seen on the Performante, although the S lacks the small rear spoiler. More Lamborghini NewsLamborghini says the exhaust has been retuned, and the standard 21-inch wheels are joined by 22-inch and 23-inch options. The cabin also gets new color and trim options. While pricing for the U.S. market has yet to be announced, we expect the updated 2023 Urus to be a bit more expensive than the outgoing model, which starts at $229,495, when it goes on sale stateside. This content is imported from poll. 2023 BMW Lineup Overview: New 7-Series, XM, and More

A redesigned 7-series flagship sails forth with larger dimensions and gas or electric powertrains. In other large-BMW news, the iX electric SUV gains a 610-hp M60 variant, which has an EPA range of up to 288 miles and a base price of $109,895. The i4 adds an eDrive35 entry-level model with a single motor making 281 horsepower and a smaller 66.0-kWh battery good for 260 miles. At $52,395, it’s $4500 less than the eDrive40.2023 BMW i7BMW2023 BMW 7-seriesBMWChanges to the 2-series coupe are limited to updated infotainment. However, a redesigned M2 arrives in the spring, with its chassis and drivetrain borrowing heavily from the M3/M4. Details are limited, but a twin-turbo inline-six with around 450 horses drives the rear wheels via either an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual.New BMW CarsThe 3-series lineup (330i, 330e, and M340i) receives a light freshening, with crisper exterior styling and BMW’s curved infotainment display coming to all variants, including the largely carried-over M3. Prices open at$43,295. Updates to the 4-series center on the top M4 Competition model, which adds a track-focused CSL variant with 40 more horsepower (now 543), a 240-pound weight reduction, and a $140,895 price. Production is capped at 1000 worldwide. The 8-series, the M8 Competition, and the 612-hp Alpina B8 receive a modest refresh, notably an illuminated front grille and a larger touchscreen. Carbon bucket seats are available in the 617-hp M8. Art collectors can empty their pockets chasing one of the 99 special-edition Jeff Koons–designed M850i Gran Coupes that went for $350,995.The updated Z4 roadster has minor styling tweaks but unfortunately it does not follow its Toyota Supra platform-mate in offering the option of a manual transmission.BMW M goes big with the new XM SUV, which adopts the polarizing design of the similarly named concept. It squares off against the Bentley Bentayga and the Lamborghini Urus early next year with a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 plug-in-hybrid powertrain producing 644 horsepower, or up to 735 hp in the forthcoming Label Red version. Close in size to the three-row X7, the two-row XM will feature a spacious back seat and a ride-and-handling balance geared more toward grand touring than track days. We’ve sampled a prototype, and despite its roughly 6000-pound weight, we found it more entertaining to drive than a few of BMW’s smaller, sportier cars. And if there’s an M on the bumper, you can bet your sweet roundel there will be a Competition version too.New BMW SUVsThe big X7 also gets a refresh with an i7-inspired front end and the curved infotainment display. The xDrive40i’s turbo inline-six is up 40 horses to 375, while the M50i model becomes the M60i, with its 523-hp twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 gaining 48-volt hybrid assistance. Prices kick off at $78,845 and range up to around $145,000 for the updated Alpina XB7, which has 630 ponies. At the opposite end of the lineup, a redesigned X1 offers a more spacious cabin. At launch, there’s only an xDrive28i, motivated by a Miller-cycle 2.0-liter inline-four good for 241 horsepower, a gain of 13. A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox replaces the previous eight-speed automatic. Prices start at $39,595. A redesigned X2 with a sleeker hatchback shape should follow in a year or so. But for now, only the 228-hp s- and xDrive28i models continue, as the 302-hp M35i variant is on hiatus. The X3, X4, X5, and X6 SUVs, along with the 5-series sedan, see only minor changes. This content is imported from OpenWeb. Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 Spied – LED Headlight Revealed

Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 will be a generation update – Featuring new platform, engine and partsUpcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 SpiedWe have seen Bajaj hold on to its designs for a long time. The Indian auto manufacturer provides a tonne of updates every now and then. But they’re mostly reserved for graphics and colour schemes. While design will be retained. For example, a 2008 Pulsar 150 looks identical to the current Pulsar 150 if parked side by side.I say this because I own a 2010 model and 12 years later, Bajaj still sells the same design. However, we have seen Bajaj finally transition to a newer design language and family DNA. Now it is the turn of Pulsar 150 to transition to this new design DNA. Thanks to automotive enthusiast Bhargav Mhatre for these spy shots.Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 Spied TestingFor starters, these spy shots were clicked in Ahmednagar. Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 spied, is a slight departure from the face seen on N250 and N160. Thus, there is a strong possibility that this particular test mule may not be classified under N family. To make matters more confusing, Bajaj has a lot of trademarks registered in India.Mainly, Pulsar Elan and Pulsar Eleganz. Bajaj can use any of these trademarks and create a distinct lineup. For example, all the Pulsars branched under ‘NS’ lineup can now fall under ‘N’. The regular Pulsars could be brought under the Elan or Eleganz lineup. We say this because there is a distinct design difference between the two as seen in spy shots.Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 SpiedThe camouflaged spy shots reveal its front design and it clearly showcases DNA differences we mentioned earlier. New Pulsar 150 LED headlight is clearly visible. Pulsar N250 and N160 get a sleeker face with their bi-functional projector headlamp sitting in between the LED DRLs while in this spy shot, DRLs are placed on top and projector is placed below with a likely halogen bulb in it.Mirrors look similar to N160 and N250 while Bajaj Pulsar N150 spied, and gets a commuter-ish engine crash guard. Pulsar N160 and N250 get a much sleeker engine crash guard. This Pulsar lineup has been spied on before too. Sometimes alongside N125 that is also under testing and will be unveiled soon.Specs & featuresBajaj is likely to update the engines to deliver better performance and mileage. Coming to Pulsar 150, it is one of the highest-selling in the Pulsar line-up and is currently powered by a 149.5cc single-cylinder engine making 13.8 bhp of power at 8,500 RPM and 13.25 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM. It gets a 2V head along with just air cooling and is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj also offers a dual disc variant and gets dingle-channel ABS as standard.Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 SpiedSome of its cycle parts are likely to be carried over along with features. As the frequency between test mules getting papped increases, we can expect that a launch is likely to follow by the end of this year or early next year. When launched, it will compete against Yamaha FZ, Honda Unicorn, TVS Apache RTR 160, Honda X-Blade and the likes. More

Hero Vida Electric Scooter To Offer Best In Class Features

Hero MotoCorp can now use the word “Hero” to market their upcoming Vida range of electric 2W productsImage for illustration purpose.Hero MotoCorp was supposed to launch Vida electric scooter brand on July 1st. But due to global semiconductor shortages and the injunction raised by Hero Electric, it took quite a lot more time for Vida launch to happen. But Hero MotoCorp has won the case against Hero Electric and can now use the word “Hero” to market their EV products. Both companies banking on the word “Hero” is likely to create some confusion among buyers. But Hero MotoCorp has created a new brand, a new logo and a whole new identity to negate most of that confusion. Vida is promising a different approach towards electric scooters with swappable battery tech.Even though both Hero MotoCorp and Hero Electric are spawned from the same Munjal family, they have been different companies for decades. Now that they’re clashing in the same 2W EV segment, both had to witness legalities. But Vida is Hero MotoCorp’s first ever attempt at EVs while Hero Electric has been at it for a long time. In fact, Hero Electric is the highest-selling 2W EV manufacturer in the country.Hero Vida Electric ScooterHero MotoCorp has registered various trademarks that revolve around the name Vida. This means that the company is planning to launch multiple products and associated services as well. Some of the trademarks are Vida Mobility, Vida Electric, Vida MotoCorp, Vida EV, Vida Motorcycles and Vida Scooters.Hero Vida Electric Scooter – Best In Class FeaturesThe debut of Hero MotoCorp’s Vida lineup is set to happen on October 7th. The company even launched a new teaser as well. With legal niggles with Hero Electric ironed out, Hero MotoCorp can now push ahead and get the products closer to launch. Coming to the range of 2W EV products that Vida will bring is not yet known. Hero MotoCorp has kept the details tightly wrapped and we haven’t seen any of the leaks and whatnot. That cannot be said about LML’s upcoming electric scooter that is likely to be called Star and also a pedaled electric motorcycle with USD forks and ADV-inspired design. What To Expect?Coming to its powertrain, Hero Vida range is likely to get swappable batteries as revealed by the company. This comes courtesy of a strategic partnership with Gogoro, a Taiwanese-based company that has expertise in building and maintaining battery swapping infrastructure. Other partnerships include Ather Energy which is likely to provide its charging grid and equipment and a few other EV components.Hero MotoCorp has always associated itself with value and affordability. If we take a look at Hero’s entire lineup, these attributes hold strong across the range. These attributes are also likely to be translated to its Vida electric scooter lineup as well. Coming from mainstream manufacturers, we can also expect quality engineering to some degree.Hero Vida Electric Scooter – Swappable Battery TechThe main emphasis on EVs nowadays is on safety. Hero MotoCorp is likely to make a battery pack that packs some amount of fireproofing too. Given the price point at which Vida products are likely to come, we can’t expect fancy features that are found on startup electric scooters from Ola and Ather. In its latest teaser, Hero reveals that Vida can be charged at home, parking lot, and at their public charging stations.Only, Hero doesn’t directly own public charging stations. This is where Gogoro and Ather are likely to come into picture. Hero Vida series will be unveiled on October 7th and a launch is likely to follow soon. More details will be revealed on October 7th. Rivals are in the form of TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and upcoming Honda electric scooter among many. More

    Ram's Latest Off-Roader Is a Heavy-Duty Rebel

An off-road-ready Rebel trim has joined the heavy-duty Ram lineup for 2023.Available only on the Ram 2500, the Rebel trim adds an electronically locking limited-slip rear differential, skid plates, meaty all-terrain tires, and unique exterior design elements. The Rebel trim slots midway through the Ram HD lineup with a starting price of $68,940 and will hit the market before the end of 2022.Ram can’t get enough off-roaders in its lineup of trucks, so it’s adding yet another terrain-stomping model in the form of a heavy-duty version of the popular Rebel trim. Set to go on sale by the end of the year at a starting price of $68,940, the 2023 Ram 2500 Rebel will sit alongside the 2500 Power Wagon with which it shares similar road-hogging dimensions. But of course, pavement is only one place one can expect to see the Ram 2500 Rebel. This massive hunk of steel comes with plenty of off-roading gear straight from the factory, including a limited-slip rear differential with an electronic locker, 20-inch wheels on 33-inch off-road tires, and a set of protective skid plates. The latter is designed to protect the truck’s fuel tank and transfer case as well as your ego, lest you embarrass yourself in front of the other four-wheelers out on the trail. If you do find yourself in a tricky spot, there’s an available 12,000-pound winch that mounts on the truck’s front bumper. Ram’s Heavy-Duty Rivals in the NewsThe standard engine is a 410-hp 6.4-liter V-8 but, unlike the Power Wagon, the 2500 Rebel can also be ordered with a 6.7-liter turbo-diesel inline-six. The diesel engine makes only 370 horsepower, but its 850 pound-feet of torque is far more than that of the gasoline V-8, which is rated for just 429 pound-feet. Heavy duty trucks are best used for towing, and the Rebel 2500 certainly can tug a lot. The maximum towing capacity is 16,870 pounds, and the truck’s payload rating is as high as 3140 pounds. The interior can be outfitted with a bench or bucket seats up front, but three-across seating locks you out of the fanciest leather upholstery that is only available on the bucket seats. An optional 12.0-inch digital gauge display can be reconfigured to show a dizzying number of menus, all of which are intended to give the driver a customized view of whatever information is most pertinent to the task at hand—be that towing, stump pulling, trail running, or rock crawling.Look for the 2500 Rebel to hit dealer lots where it will fit right in among Ram’s other off-road models, including the 2500 Power Wagon, the 1500 TRX, and the 1500 Rebel, in the fourth quarter of 2022. Watch for it on trails near you—where it may not fit in so well, considering its size—shortly thereafter. This content is imported from poll.
