The new seventh-generation 2024 Ford Mustang will spawn several racing variants, including the Gen3 Supercar seen here. The Mustang GT was homologated for race duty by Dick Johnson Racing and will compete in the 2023 Australian Supercars Championship.Along with race-spec sheetmetal and a big rear wing, the Gen3 Supercar has a 600-plus-hp version of the regular Mustang GT’s new Coyote 5.0-liter V-8.The new Ford Mustang GT Gen3 Supercar is a different kind of racehorse. It’s based on the new S650-generation Mustang that was recently revealed, but the V-8–powered coupe has been specifically built for racing, with its competitive debut set for the 2023 Australian Supercar Championship.More on the New StangFord showed CGI images of several upcoming race-prepped Mustangs shortly after the street-legal lineup was unveiled. At the time, the company also announced plans to enter the pony car in multiple racing series that also include GT3 and GT4 sports car racing, NASCAR Cup Series, and NHRA. However, the Mustang GT Gen3 Supercar is the first of those race-ready steeds to be seen in living color.Last night, the Gen3 Mustang Supercar was revealed (video of the event can be seen below), and we were told it was homologated for race duty by Dick Johnson Racing, with an assist from Ford Performance. While it bears a strong resemblance to the regular Mustang GT, its sheetmetal has obviously been revised and tattooed with Ford, Mustang, and other graphics. Its primarily white paint is complemented by blue accents that outline the bottom edges of the car, and there’s no missing the giant wing on its hindquarters. This content is imported from youTube. Royal Enfield Conti GT 865 As A Limited Edition Cerra GT 865

Cerra GT 865 gets a fully faired body like a sports bike that is entirely made up of resin-infused carbon fibreRoyal Enfield Conti GT 865Royal Enfield and racing don’t seldom go hand-in-hand. This is 2022 and the times have changed. Certainly for Royal Enfield, at least. Royal Enfield was rarely associated with performance or lap-times or corner carving. With its 650cc platform, Royal Enfield has opened a portal to what feels like a parallel universe. We say this because 650cc platform comes at an affordable price point and offers decent performance despite its weight. Continental GT 650 is sportier than Interceptor 650. That’s not the extent of sportiness that the GT 650 can achieve. We have seen the GT-R 650 that races at Continental GT Cup. Now, Skunk Machine has come up with their version of this bike. Named Cerra GT 865, this motorcycle is limited to just 25 units. It comes with a fully faired body that is made entirely of resin-infused carbon fibre. Tempted? Let’s take a look.Royal Enfield Conti GT 865 – Cerra GT 865 By Skunk MachineContinental GT 650 is a sporty Cafe Racer motorcycle with a lot of character. Spiritual successor to Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, GT 650 is a far more likeable machine. Cerra GT 865 is built by Carl Cerra from Skunk Machine, a custom modder based in Greensborough Melbourne, Australia.Custom SC Project Slip On ExhaustThis custom motorcycle is only limited to 25 units. Carl Cerra has stuck to a minimalist approach toward this motorcycle. Mechanically, the motorcycle is now enhanced to displace 865cc. It gets dual slip-on exhaust from SC Project along with custom headers. Not just that, the throttle body is now 40mm and with exposed air intake, we can expect this motorcycle to make a lot more power than 47.65 PS of the stock bike. With more oomph, there should be more stopping power as well. Skunk has equipped Cerra GT 865 with a dual disc setup at the front. With Brembo calipers, stopping power is given a boost. Front end is completely custom with front USD forks from a 2015 model GSX-R600. Wheels are still of wire-spoke type. But the wheel size has gone down to 17” from 18”.The stock body panels are completely gone. Cerra has stuck with a stock fuel tank. The fairing covers the entire front of the motorcycle with a circular LED headlight and a Cerra GT 865 badging on top. The fairing is made of resin-infused carbon fibre which has been kept unpainted to reveal its intricate weave pattern.Royal Enfield Conti GT 865Specs & FeaturesRear section has been kept clean with just one panel. Single seat is optioned with a rear cowl. An LED light bar is placed below the cowl that doubles up as a tail-light and side-turn indicator. At the back, this custom motorcycle gets a fatter slick tyre that promises a lot of traction on the track. At the front, Cerra GT 865 gets bar-end LED side-turn indicators.Skunk Machine has equipped Cerra GT 865 with a modern smartphone-like instrument cluster that also doubles up as a dash-cam display with a camera neatly integrated. This allows users to record their track-day excursions from motorcycle’s POV. Pricing is not yet announced and the availability outside Australia is also not yet revealed. Royal Enfield Conti GT 865 production is limited to just 25 units. More

2024 GMC Sierra HD Brings the Luxury and the Muscle

Both the GMC 2500HD and 3500HD receive updated styling inside and out for the 2024 model year. V-8 Duramax diesel models gain horsepower and torque while the gas-drinking counterparts add a 10-speed automatic transmission. GMC is adding a Denali Ultimate trim to the top of the heavy-duty lineup and announced an off-roading AT4X will join the ranks later in the model year. The heavy-duty GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD are getting a refresh for the 2024 model year, complete with a redesigned front end, a fancier interior, and a new transmission. The addition of two trim levels, one for off-road adventures and the other for a cushier work-truck experience, will give HD truck buyers the luxury of more choices.Increased CapabilitiesGMC is adding to the arms race that is heavy-duty truck power figures by making updates to the 2024 Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD. However, power figures for the 6.6-liter V-8 engine don’t change for 2024; the thumping V-8 continues to produce 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. What does change is that GMC ditched the old six-speed automatic transmission in favor of the 10-speed automatic, which is shared with the diesel; GMC claims the new transmission matches better with the engine’s power curve. The 6.6-liter Duramax V-8 diesel produces 470 horsepower and gets awfully close to 1000 pound-feet of torque, generating 975 pound-feet. Those figures are up from 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet on the outgoing model. According to GMC, the extra power (and efficiency) are thanks to numerous uprades to the engine, including a more efficient turbocharger that helps generate 25 percent more low-end torque than the current-generation truck. Max tow ratings for the 2500HD and 3500HD are 22,500 and 36,000 pounds. Opting for the crew-cab variant of the 2500HD sacrifices 600 pounds of towing capability, bringing the max figure to 21,900. Luxe AccommodationsHeavy-duty work trucks are first and foremost for, well, work. But GMC is known for adding premium touches to help that work along. Whether you are talking about the heavy-duty or half-ton versions, the Sierra has long been a more upscale alternative to its sibling, the Chevy Silverado. The newly added Denali Ultimate rides on exclusive 20-inch machined aluminum wheels with gloss-black accents. Inside, there’s open-pore Paldao wood to accompany the full-grain leather seen throughout and niceties including massaging seats and a power sunroof. Cosmetic touches include a unique grille with GMC badging finished in Vader Chrome, plus special fender badging that features topography of Mount Denali. Slightly more unexpected are the redesigned headlights, which play an animation as the driver approaches the vehicle, turns it on, or uses the turn signal.More on GMC Heavy Duty TrucksThere are six new paint choices as well as new wheel designs for SLE, AT4, and Denali trims. Inside, the heavy-duty Sierras add a larger optional 13.4-inch center display alongside the newly optional 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. All but the base Pro trim level’s infotainment systems integrate Google apps and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. There’s also a new 15-inch multicolor head-up display. The Sierra HD already had the expected safety aids including forward-collision and lane-departure warning systems, but now adds (optionally) rear cross-traffic braking and trailer-side side blind-spot monitoring. More to the point for a heavy-duty truck with this kind of towing ability, there are several new trailering assist features. Cameras help the driver line up a hitch or fifth wheel, and there’s an optional accessory camera for the back of a trailer to give drivers a view behind them. Also new are adaptive cruise control while trailering and an alert to let drivers know if they have exceeded their truck’s gross vehicle weight rating. Fancy Some Off-Roading? Fancy Off-RoadingThe AT4X is something to look forward to, but this off-road-intended Sierra HD model isn’t coming until later in 2024. The rest of the heavy-duty Sierra trucks—Pro, SLE, SLT, AT4 (pictured above), Denali, and Denali Ultimate—are set to begin arriving in dealerships during the first quarter of 2023. GMC doesn’t intend to release any pricing until closer to their release dates, but current Sierra 2500HD models start around the $40,000 mark, with Denali trims climbing well past $70,000. We’d expect the Denali Ultimate to climb well above that number. This content is imported from poll. 2024 Prologue Looks Handsome and Unassuming, but It's a Big Deal for Honda

Honda has released the first images of the 2024 Prologue’s interior and exterior design. This new EV crossover is a collaboration with General Motors and shares components with the Chevy Blazer EV.The Prologue will go on sale in 2024 and will be followed by other Honda EVs in 2026 and 2027.If you’re interested in the new Chevy Blazer EV but aren’t a fan of the styling, Honda will offer an alternative in the form of the 2024 Prologue. The two mid-size EV SUVs share underpinnings, powertrains, and battery packs but will feature different designs inside and out, with the Honda presenting a cleaner look compared with the Blazer’s as evidenced by these new photos of the electric crossover’s exterior and interior.Finished in a new color called North Shore Pearl, the Prologue looks clean and modern and should fit in well with the rest of Honda’s SUV lineup. It’s larger than the compact CR-V and similar in size to the mid-size, two-row Passport. Its relationship to the Blazer are only obvious in terms of the proportions, as the Honda appears to have the same short rear overhang, long wheelbase, and a similar window line as the Chevy.Inside, the Prologue will feature two large screens: an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster and an 11.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen. We’re pleased to see what appear to be physical HVAC buttons and knobs below the screen rather than touch-sensitive controls. Eagle-eyed readers familiar with the GM lineup may recognize certain components pulled from the corporate parts bin, including the start button and door handles, but that’s no surprise given the collaboration between the two automakers. The Prologue’s powertrain is likely to mirror the Blazer EV’s, which is available in many different configurations including front-, rear-, and all-wheel-drive variants. All Honda has announced so far is that the Prologue will be offered with all-wheel drive, meaning that some sort of dual-motor setup will be offered. We’d guess that the Prologue will offer a single-motor, front-wheel-drive setup as standard, with a dual-motor powertrain optional. Range figures should fall somewhere between 250 miles and 320 miles based on the Blazer’s estimates.More Future ModelsLook for more information to come within the next few months as Honda releases more specs about the Prologue. There’s no official word on when production will start, but it’s looking like the Blazer EV will begin deliveries considerably earlier than its Honda, as Chevy claims it will arrive in summer 2023 and the Prologue is slated to arrive in 2024.This content is imported from poll. MG Air EV likely to get a choice – 30 kW (40 bhp) and 50 kW (67 bhp) electric motor with 200 to 300 km drive rangeMG Air EV Rear ProfileWhen it comes to EV tech, MG has been keeping pace with the need of the hour. With ZS EV, MG has presented itself as an early EV player in the Indian market. Sales don’t equal bigger volume products simply because MG’s scale of operations here is not that of a big manufacturer. While EV tech is touted as the future, cars are not visibly cheaper. Mahindra’s EV portfolio starts from XUV400, and it’s highly unlikely to be priced well within the Rs. 10 lakh bracket. MG currently only has facelifted version of ZS EV in its EV arsenal. It’s pricing starts from Rs. 22.58 lakh. However, MG is keen on bringing a cheaper EV to India. And Wuling Air EV has been spied testing in India.MG Air EV Spied TestingIf we take a look at the Chinese market, we can see Wuling Hongguang Mini EV at the top of the sales charts. Even beats VW. Wuling Hongguang Mini EV alone sold 56,609 units in the month of July 2022. MG Air EV is a two-door electric hatchback that targets urban commutes in China, And it’s likely to be the case in India as well. Mahindra attempted to make a name in micro EV segment with e2O and e2O Plus, but wasn’t met with much success in the early years.[embedded content][embedded content]MG Air EV is smaller than an Alto 800. It is produced by joint venture SAIC-GM-Wuling based on their GSEV (Global Small Electric Vehicle) platform in China. MG is likely to go with as much localization as possible.Specs & LaunchMG Air EV has 2 variants, an SWB (Standard Wheel Base) and an LWB (Long Wheel Base). Seating layout differs with SWB variants getting just 2 seats, and LWB variants get 4 seats. In China, Air EV gets 30 kW (40 bhp) and 50 kW (67 bhp) motor options coupled to a single-speed automatic unit. A Rare Nissan GT-R50 Has Come up for Sale

The R35 Nissan GT-R reshaped the supercar world when it arrived on the scene back in 2009. Twin-turbocharged, all-wheel drive and packing a quick-shifting dual-clutch, the GT-R would become a blueprint that almost every supercar manufacturer would copy moving into the current decade. Thankfully for die-hard Godzilla fans, you now have a chance to own a pristine example of the rarest variant produced during that run: a 2021 Nissan GT-R50. The GT-R50 first arrived as a concept vehicle back in 2018, marking the dual 50th anniversaries of the GT-R nameplate, as well as the design house Italdesign before 2019. The concept merged the R35’s technical ability with some design influences from the days-gone-by of the auto industry, borrowing heavily from Italy in the process. The concept was met with such excitement that Nissan actually committed to building a limited run of the cars, with production volume officially capped at 50 units. Production was slowed as a result of COVID, but the automaker closed the order books in July of this year. Legendary Motorcar CompanyThis particular example is number 11 in the run, though the listing sellers at Legendary Motor Car claim that only 19 examples were ever produced. Considering it took the automaker so long to close the order books, it is possible that demand never reached that 50-unit goal. Regardless of the true production figures, the car’s $1,165,000 base price certainly ensured only the most fanatical of R35 customers would have a chance to own one. That’s a ton of cash, but the work done by both Nissan and Italdesign is extensive and impressive. Starting under the hood, the GT-R50 packs a modified variant of the familiar 3.8-liter VR38DETT V-6. Upgraded turbos are pulled right off the GT3 racer and combined with higher-flow injectors, larger intercoolers, and a reworked intake to provide more power. An updated crankshaft, pistons, and connecting rods bolster high-horsepower engine health. The end result is 710 hp and 585 pound-feet of torque, significantly more than the range-topping NISMO’s 600 hp and 481-pound-foot rating. Power is sent to the wheels via a reworked six-speed dual-clutch transmission, while adaptive Bilstein dampers handle the suspension duties.Legendary Motorcar CompanyThis particular example has also been outfitted with the optional hydraulic rear wing, which provides some active aero elements for maximum performance on track. Not that this car has ever seen the track, as it has arrived for sale with delivery mileage on the clock. The Italdesign bodywork certainly won’t be for everyone, but the shape is far more unique than you’d typically find from a Nissan product. The paint is also a unique hue, which cost the first owner nearly $30,000 to spec from the factory. It looks great with the red NISMO accents, though we hope that initial investment doesn’t require a significant price bump for any prospective buyers.Legendary Motorcar hasn’t published any pricing information about this particular GT-R, following the age-old adage about anything of great expense. Either way, here’s hoping that the next owner of this modern coachbuilt sports car actually decides to use the thing for its intended purpose. This content is imported from OpenWeb.
