An Updated Tesla Model 3 Is Coming and Will Be Even More Spartan: Report

As the Tesla Model 3 gets closer to its sixth birthday, it is reportedly getting closer to receiving its first facelift. The report comes via Reuters. The news service said it spoke to four sources with information on the plans. The revamp is part of an attempt by Tesla to cut production costs as well as to entice buyers through visual changes to the car—a rare move from Tesla. Most auto manufacturers put their cars through through multi-year cycles, complete with small year-to-year updates. Tesla does it differently; the EV maker prefers to rely on over-the-air (OTA) updates and simply change mechanical parts as they are developed. Because of this unusual method, the nearly six-year-old Model 3 has never received a facelift. But now, according to a report from Reuters, a refreshed Model 3 code-named “Highland” is on the way and is expected to be put into production in the third quarter of next year. More on TeslaThe revamped Tesla is part of an attempt by the company to simplify its design and drive production costs down. According to the Reuters report, one focus of the new Model 3 design is to reduce complexity in the interior while maintaining features that Tesla customers care about, such as the center display. Never mind the fact that the interior of the Model 3 looks as barren as that first apartment out of college: it’s got a place to sit, and a massive screen, and not much else. The last major vehicle update from Tesla was swapping the steering wheel of the Model S for the yoke setup and switching to a horizontal screen orientation, something the Model 3 already possesses.Michael Simari|Car and DriverThe other major reason for an update seems to be increased pressure from the competition, especially competition within the China market. The Model 3 remains Tesla’s cheapest offering, though its $48,440 starting price has steadily crept skyward, and more established automakers have begun to put their weight behind EV production. According to Reuters, the facelifted Model 3 will go into production at Tesla’s Shanghai, China, and Fremont, California, factories. Car and Driver reached out to Tesla for written comment, but did not receive a response. This content is imported from poll. 1336-HP Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo Is a Peek at the Company's Future

Virtual concept cars are all the rage these days. We’ve seen fully digital Vision Gran Turismo designs from the likes of Jaguar, McLaren, Audi, and more. Now, Ferrari is finally stepping up with a Vision Gran Turismo of its own. Titled simply the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo, the fully virtual concept car is a center-positioned single-seater race car designed specifically to appear in PlayStation’s series of Gran Turismo video games. Ferrari says it uses an even more potent version of the twin-turbo V-6 powering the company’s newest Le Mans competitor, the 499P, along with three electric motors, one for the rear axle and two for each front wheels. Thanks to a lack of real-world sporting regulations, total output is an incredible 1336 hp. And that’s not all. From the release:The bodyshell of the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo appears as if suspended over the flat, carbon-fiber underbody which incorporates all the car’s technical components, thus giving purity to the shape. The chassis is designed to emphasize the car’s lateral dynamics in on-the-limit handling. The powertrain layout guarantees an optimal front-rear weight balance and an extremely low center of gravity to the benefit of the AWD. The elasto-kinematic suspension setup was developed around the performance characteristics of the tires used in Gran Turismo together with the car’s aerodynamic balance, the aim being to guarantee superlative performance on both torturously winding city circuits and traditional endurance race tracks.According to Ferrari, it’s used its experience in Formula 1 to ensure the battery for the electric motors is always in a full state of charge, whether you’re setting an ultra-fast qualifying lap or doing a handful of consecutive laps at once. Vision GT CarsThe Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo will become available to all users starting on December 23, 2022. One Gran Turismo user will have the chance to drive the car one week early, however, as all GT7 players will be able to participate in a viewers’ campaign quiz for a chance to be gifted the car in-game on December 15. On that same date, Ferrari will reveal a full-size replica of the Vision Gran Turismo, to be displayed at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello through March 2023. This content is imported from OpenWeb. New Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle Spied – Riding Posture Revealed

Triumph has been eyeing the entry-level segment for a long time and with Bajaj, a new product is expected soonNew Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle SpiedBajaj has always wanted to increase their share in 200 cc to 500 cc segment. Under Bajaj, we only get the Dominar 400. They do have offerings via KTM in this segment. But despite that, this segment is still dominated by Royal Enfield with its slew of 350 cc bikes like Bullet, Classic and Meteor and also, Himalayan and Scram 411.When Dominar was launched, Bajaj took a dig at Royal Enfield saying not to buy “Haathis” (elephants) as most Enfields wouldn’t properly go and if they did, wouldn’t properly stop and also weighed a lot with no gizmos. But in reality, Indians still bought Haathis. I don’t blame them. If the Haathi looked as elegant and charming as Royal Enfield bikes, why not?Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle SpiedTo add salt to the wound, Hunter 350 is launched at a lower price point too. At the same time, Triumph seems to be following the same route BMW Motorrad took to foray into entry-level bikes along with TVS. So, British brand Triumph has partnered up with Bajaj to co-develop a platform that would benefit both companies. A match made in Heaven? Maybe.Last time we covered the Bajaj Triumph bike, it was papped fully undisguised. The new spy shots reveal mostly the same, but give more details too. For starters, this upcoming motorcycle will be offered in two versions, a street and a scrambler. Both get separate design elements to suit the genre. The video below shows riding posture on the upcoming Bajaj Triumph motorcycle, while it was spied near Pune.Upcoming Bajaj Triumph Scrambler Motorcycle – RenderBoth test mules look production ready and we can expect a launch very soon. They shoot for the timeless retro classic look and we should say, looks quite handsome. Their design is reminiscent of Triumph’s Bonneville lineup. They get a single-piece seat, neat grab rail at the rear, round headlights and indicators, bar-end mirrors and a lot more.In terms of cycle parts, they get USD front forks and mono-shock at back, 19” and 17” alloy wheels at the front and back, single discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS, slightly rear-set footpegs and more. They both get LED lighting all-around, a circular speedo and a squarish digital display beside it housed in the same console. What To Expect? We don’t know the exact engine specs at the moment. But looking at the engine on test mules, looks like a single-cylinder unit with liquid cooling and a single exhaust setup. Looking at the size of it, it is likely to be a 300 to 400cc unit. And might make around 35 bhp and 30 Nm of torque. It may get a 6-speed gearbox too.New Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle SpiedLooking at their lean and athletic frame, they are likely to weigh around 170 to 180 kg. Both bikes will be manufactured here in India to get the production costs down. These motorcycles will be sold under Triumph branding. Bajaj might launch a different version of their own branding in the future. This probably will be a similar story, what we have seen with Bajaj-KTM. First KTM branded motorcycles were launched, and based on them, Bajaj launched their own Pulsar motorcycles. When launched, Bajaj Triumph motorcycle will compete against Royal Enfield, Honda, Yezdi, Jawa, TVS, BMW offerings falling into the same ring. Launch will take place in 2023.Source More

Royal Enfield Electric Himalayan ADV Details Leak Ahead Of Launch

A large battery pack with 200 to 300 km of range is likely from electric Himalayan by Royal Enfield owing to its ADV natureRoyal Enfield Electric Himalayan ADV – RenderRoyal Enfield has stood true to its ‘four motorcycles a year’ strategy. We got Scram 411, a new Classic 350, new Hunter 350 and recently unveiled Super Meteor 650. Royal Enfield’s quota for new launches in 2022 seems to have come to an end. That said, tomorrow never sleeps and with a future of EVs gaining traction, mainstream 2W manufacturers can’t afford to miss the EV train. Certainly not Royal Enfield, as it seems to have a monopoly on classic and retro motorcycles at least in India. RE has a ton of overseas fanbase to please as well.To continue being at the top of their game, Royal Enfield has planned multiple launches over the next few years. One of them is an electric Himalayan. You heard that right. An electric ADV from a mainstream motorcycle manufacturer. Let’s take a look.Electric Himalayan By Royal EnfieldIt was at Hunter 350 launch that Eicher Motors CEO Siddhartha Lal gave subtle hints as to what kind of EVs may come out of Royal Enfield stables in the coming years. He mentioned that the very first Royal Enfield electric vehicle will be revealed in a three to four years timeline. Even though it meant waiting, RE confirmed that it had its foot on the ground.Image – BikewaleRecently we saw Electrik01 concept in a leaked picture which looked extremely radical. Something no one had seen in a century. It had a futuristic vibe and stood by its retro charms along the way. Royal Enfield Electric Himalayan radiates the same vibes. In this sense, it is still neo-retro in its appeal, but gets a futuristic design language.Gone is its beak and in its place is a bikini fairing that holds its round headlights. A tall visor adorns its front fascia and gives it an ADV feel. It is evident that Royal Enfield is cleverly incorporating its frame as its body panels, exposed for display. At the back, we can see a sharp subframe and a clean profile.Wire spoke rims are retained and are likely to be 21” at front and 17” or 18” at the rear. Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric gets a mid-mounted motor sending power to rear wheels via chain drive. Mono-shock rear suspension and stylish aluminium swingarm are part of its package as well.Launch TimelineUnlike Electrik01 which is a prototype, Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric is still in concept design phase. It is possible that when the new breed of electric 2W from Royal Enfield sees the light of day, electric Himalayan could be the flagship. We say this because owing to its nature, an ADV should have a long range.Long range means a larger battery and that in turn means higher pricing. Also, with a decent off-road kit or touring kit, it is not a stretch to say that Royal Enfield will price it at a premium. With a top-down approach, we can expect that electric powertrains will trickle down on lower-end products as well. A launch timeline is not revealed by the company. Going by Sidhartha Lal’s hints, we can expect eclectic Royal Enfields to hit Indian roads in 2026 or beyond.Source More

Located in Greenwich, Connecticut, is a 19-acre mansion for sale that has 10 bedrooms, 14.5 bathrooms, and seven wood-burning fireplaces, complete with a main house, pool, and pool house. What we noticed, however, was that this massive property has parking for up to 36 cars, including a 30-car garage in the lower level of the main house. The home was built in 2009, coming to the market for the first time now, the property is listed at $33.8 million by real estate group Brown Harris Stevens. If you happen to be a recent Powerball winner whose bank statement looks more like that of a oil tycoon than a used car salesman . . . first of all, email us, we’ve got some exciting ideas for all that cash. Second, check out this $33,800,000 estate in Greenwich, Connecticut. The sprawling property features 17,878 square feet of living space sitting on 19.1 acres of property. Our attention has been piqued, but the real crown jewel of the property is the basement garage, which has space for up to 30 cars. Brown Harris StevensCar MansionsBuilt in 2009, the home features 10 bedrooms, 14.5 bathrooms, and seven wood-burning fireplaces. A three-car garage attaches to the mudroom, along with a three-car porte cochère. Quick math brings the total parking spaces on the property to 36—ample room for the kind of collection this house’s owner can probably afford. From the look of the photos, the current owners have an affinity for Porsche, with at least six 911s visible in the garage. Brown Harris StevensIf this feels like an absurd amount of money to spend on any property, no matter the acreage or garage space, consider that it is a relative bargain compared to this $62 million Los Angeles mansion. For just over half the price, you get double the car storage! And the estimated monthly payments come out to a very reasonable $149,677, assuming a 20 percent down payment.
