    2025 Bajaj Platina 110 Reach Showrooms Before Launch – Major Update

    2025 Bajaj Platina 110 UpdatedEarlier this year, Bajaj discontinued Platina 110 ABS variant from its portfolio alongside CT125X and Pulsar F250. However, the company carried over non ABS drum brake variant of Platina 110 forward. Fast forwarding to April 2025, Bajaj has given Platina 110 a major update and updated units have been reaching showrooms. Let’s take a closer look.

    The affordable budget commuter segment has been one-sided for a very long time in the favour of Hero MotoCorp’s Splendor range. However, Hero doesn’t operate in the 110cc segment, which is positioned between 100cc and 125cc. That’s where Bajaj’s Platina 110 comes into the scene and for MY25 version, it brings major updates along with it.

    For starters, there seems to be a new set of colours and the one seen in the video by Machine Rules shows a new colourway. Where black acts as the base colour and there’s a light green shade used for highlights and graphics. Same shade of green can also be seen in pinstriping done on alloy wheels.
    In contrast, the MY24 Platina 110 was offered in three colourways with graphics – Ebony Black Blue, Ebony Black Red and Cocktail Wine Red – Orange. Apart from the colours, there are a few visual updates to 2025 Bajaj Platina 110 that distinguish it from MY24 model. MY25 version gets a chrome surround engulfing headlight that is absent in MY24 model.

    Also, Bajaj Auto seems to have stopped offering the translucent knuckle guards on MY25 model or they may not be installed on this particular unit seen in this video. Other updates include the addition of a USB charging port, which is a welcome feature, and a few revisions around swingarm region. Seat cover, halogen headlights, LED DRLs and other components seem to be carried over.
    Fuel Injector replaces e-Carburettor
    Main change can be seen in 2025 Platina 110’s engine. This engine will now be BS6 P2 OBD-2B emission standard compliant, which is mandated on all vehicles sold in India after April 1st, 2025. To achieve latest and more stringent emission standards, Bajaj has replaced the electronic carburettor with a fuel injector.

    With this new fuel injector, we can expect changes in this motorcycle’s performance metrics and fuel efficiency. For context, the electronic carburettor model used to deliver around 8.5 bhp of peak power and 9.81 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 4-speed gearbox.     KTM 390 Enduro R Launch Price Rs 3.36 L – Off-Roader Focus

    KTM 390 Enduro R LaunchedTeam Orange has taken the wraps of India-spec 390 Enduro R and has announced the pricing. This is a more off-road focussed Enduro version of recently launched 390 Adventure. Where pricing is concerned, India-spec 390 Enduro R boasts a price tag of Rs 3.36 lakh, making it more affordable than 390 Adventure.

    This is the first time in a very long time KTM is expanding the 390 portfolio to incorporate two new motorcycle genres. Before, we only had 390 Duke Roadster, 390 Adventure ADV and RC 390 Supersport. Now, the company has just launched 390 Enduro R and will soon launch 390 SCM R (Supermoto) motorcycle.

    Where pricing is concerned, KTM 390 Enduro R costs Rs 3.36 lakh (Ex-sh) and is a more off-road focussed enduro style machine than 390 Adventure. For context, KTM 390 Adventure X costs Rs 2.91 lakh (Ex-sh) and 390 Adventure costs Rs 3.68 lakh (Ex-sh). Both the Adventure and Enduro motorcycles cater to different audiences.
    It has to be noted that the KTM 390 Enduro R launched in India is an India-spec version of this motorcycle and not global-spec model. The latter gets more suspension travel, a higher ground clearance, a taller seat height and weighs significantly less than India-spec model launched here. The global-spec model will be launched in India at a later date as a variant.

    Specs & Features
    Speaking of components, KTM 390 Enduro R rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels wrapped with dual-sport block-pattern tyres, WP Apex fully adjustable USD front forks (200 mm travel), adjustable rear mono-shock (205 mm travel), single disc brakes at both ends, fully switchable dual-channel ABS.
    Where design is concerned, 390 Enduro R is vastly the same as 390 Adventure, sans the fairing, vertically laid out LED headlight setup and the larger 5-inch TFT instrument cluster. Enduro gets a smaller and flatter headlight setup and a smaller 4.2-inch pill-shaped TFT cluster. Other notable features include two riding modes and Traction Control.

    KTM 390 Enduro R is powered by the same LC4C 399cc single-cylinder DOHC 4V-cyl liquid-cooled engine that is capable of generating 45.3 bhp of peak power and 39 Nm of peak torque, mated to a slip and assist clutch, a bi-directional quick shifter and a 6-speed gearbox. This motorcycle gets a 9L fuel tank, 253 mm ground clearance, 860 mm seat height and weighs 177 kg.

    Vinfast VF 7 Spied On Truck – Heading For ARAI Certification?

    Vinfast VF 7 Spied On TruckThe Indian electric car market has been booming. More brands are taking a shot at this lucrative segment and Vinfast is one of them. Vietnamese electric car maker Vinfast is keen on launching VF6 and VF7 in India by 2nd half of 2025. In that regard, we can see VF 7 on a flatbed truck in Pune city, which seems to be heading for ARAI certification.

    At the Auto Expo 2025, Vinfast showcased a multitude of vehicles. We saw the VF 3, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, VF 9, VF e34 and VF Wild pickup truck concept in 4W section and Evo 200, Klara, Feliz, Vento and Theon scooters along with DrgnFly electric motorcycle. Of these, VF e34 has been spied testing with camouflage back in June 2024.

    For 2025, primary interests of these showcases are VF 6 and VF 7 electric vehicles as they are confirmed to launch in 2nd half of 2025. In latest spy shots, we can see two VF 7 electric crossover SUVs on flatbed pickup trucks near PCMC area of Pune City in Maharashtra. Both vehicles are not camouflaged and can be seen without intrusions.
    One has a dark shade, which looks like the Green colour option Vinfast has in global markets. The other one is White. Both vehicles looked like they packed Black wheels which looks quite nice. Both vehicles get flush door handles along with charging port on front quarter panel. These are highly likely to be transported to ARAI for homologation purposes.

    Heading for ARAI certification?
    This indicates that the launch might be slated to originally planned timeline around 2nd half of 2025, which is nearing swiftly. The two vehicles spotted could be two different variants of VF 7. Speaking of, Vinfast VF 7 is offered (globally) in 2 variants. These variants are called Eco (base) and Plus (top).
    Both variants get the same 75.3 kWh battery, while there is difference in performance and range. Eco variant has more range at 280 miles (450 km), while Plus only offers 268 miles (431 km) (both WLTP cycle). Where performance is concerned, Plus packs 348 bhp and 499 Nm, whereas Eco variant packs 201 bhp and 309 Nm.

    2025 Hero Vida V2 Price Reduced By Up To Rs 15k – Details

    New Hero Vida V2 RangeIndia’s largest 2W manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, has been upping its game in the premium segment. The company is keen on making it big in the electric scooter segment too. In that regard, Vida V2 lineup prices have been dropped drastically, making them a lot more affordable than they used to be. Let’s take a closer look.
    Hero Vida V2 Prices Reduced
    India’s electric scooter market has been heating up in recent times. Market leader Ola Electric has been on a downward spiral and rivals are upping their game to gain precious market share. Hero MotoCorp is at it too and has reduced prices of its Vida V2 range by up to Rs 15,000, depending on the variant.
    Vida electric scooter is offered in three variants – V2 Lite, V2 Plus and V2 Pro. 2025 Hero Vida V2 lineup now starts from Rs 74,000 for the base V2 Lite, which is Rs 11,000 less when compared to previous prices. That is because Hero has slashed prices of Vida V2 Lite by Rs 11,000, effective immediately.
    Going up the variant range, Vida V2 Plus price has been slashed by up to Rs 15,000. This is the maximum price reduction Hero is offering to Vida V2 lineup. On the other hand, top-spec Hero Vida V2 Pro does not get any price reduction. Instead, it gets a price hike of Rs 4,700, which is now priced at 1,20,300 (ex-sh).

    V2 Lite comes equipped with a 2.2 kWh battery promising a range of 94 km (IDC). Where features are concerned, Hero offers quite a bit of features even with base V2 Lite. Notable features are 26L under-seat storage, 7-inch TFT touchscreen with Bluetooth and navigation, cruise control, keyless ignition and more.
    On top of V2 Lite, we have V2 Plus that offers a larger 3.4 kWh battery pack promising a range of up to 143 km on a single charge. The top-spec V2 Pro variant packs a larger still 3.9 kWh battery pack that promises 165 km of range on a single charge and has more powerful motor promising 0-40 km/h sprint in 2.9 seconds.
    Where rivals are concerned, Hero Vida V2 lineup locks horns with Ola’s S1 range, Ather’s 450 range, TVS’ iQube range and Bajaj’s Chetak range.     2025 Suzuki Access Road Test Review – The One To Get?

    2025 Suzuki Access Road Test ReviewIndia’s 125cc scooter segment is a rather interesting one. It sits above the 110cc scooters, offering a little more performance and bringing more premium features. Suzuki is among the leaders in this segment as the company operates three offerings – Access, Burgman Street 125 and Avenis 125.
    Access is by far the most popular in Suzuki’s scooter lineup and is the primary volume generator for the brand. So, when the company launches a major update to Access, it is a big deal and it has even emerged as India’s 3rd highest-selling scooter. After experiencing the new 2025 Suzuki Access in and around Pune city, this is what we think about this scooter.

    2025 Suzuki Access Review
    Within the family 125cc scooters, Suzuki Access is a prominent name. It was among the first 125cc scooters in India, launched in 2007. Close to two decades in its life cycle, Access has had multiple updates and the latest 2025 Suzuki Access is the most technologically advanced iteration of this scooter yet. Dropping 125 from its name, Suzuki has simplified the naming too.
    Suzuki launched it at the Auto Expo 2025 earlier this month at a starting price of Rs 81,700 (Ex-sh). There are three variants on offer – Standard Edition, Special Edition and Ride Connect Edition. Standard Edition gets drum brakes, steel wheels and single-tone colours. Special Edition brings dual tone colours, steel wheels and a front disc brake.

    It is the Ride Connect Edition which offers all bells and whistles like alloy wheels, disc brakes and even a connected instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and Navigation. This is the variant we sampled in Pune city which was finished in a lovely Metallic Mat Stellar Blue. Even though the launch colour was Solid Ice Green, I liked Pearl Grace White and Metallic Mat Stellar Blue colours more.
    Design & Appearance
    Where design is concerned, the new 2025 Suzuki Access does not deviate much away from its family scooter silhouette. It looks very much like an Access, just brought up to date with modern styling cues and in-keeping with current trends. In that regard, we can see Access has gotten much sleeker and looks more athletic than it did before.

    We can see headlights have sleekened a lot and look sharper now. Front apron gets re-profiled styling with smaller turn indicators. There’s a U-shaped LED DRL on front apron which is a new addition. Behind this apron, we now get dual glove compartments along with USB charging port, a hook and a conventional keyhole which also operates fuel filler and underseat storage.

    The fuel filler cap is now concealed beneath a plastic flap for a much cleaner aesthetic. There is a new re-designed tail light as well. Side profile is vastly carried over. We get circular reflectors now positioned near glove boxes behind front apron. The top two variants get chrome circular ORVMs that look rather nice, offering a retro vibe to this scooter.

    Also new are the footpegs, which are of metallic type now that look a lot more premium than before. Top variants get brown seat upholstery which contrasts on the dark blue shade on our particular unit. Even though it doesn’t look like it, 2025 Access packs a new chassis underneath and it has had changes to its powertrain as well.
    Specs & Powertrain
    Speaking of powertrain, Suzuki has updated some core components like crankshaft, camshaft and even the crankcase on this scooter with 2025 model. These changes were done to upgrade this engine and align it with stricter BS6 OBD2B emission norms along with Euro 5 emission norms. Because of these changes, there is variance in performance metrics.

    This 124cc engine now makes 8.31 bhp of peak power at 6,500 RPM and 10.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 RPM. So, power has gone down slightly, while torque has seen a minor boost, when compared to its predecessor. This is still a relatively simple engine as it is an air-cooled single-cylinder SOHC 2V/cyl unit, mated to a CVT and a one-way clutch which ensures quiter starts than before.

    This is a smooth and refined powertrain without much vibrations if you’re riding under 90 km/h speed (speedo indicated). Post which, there is a mild buzz. Considering the intended application of this scooter, it is perfectly acceptable as prospective owners are not likely to push it that hard all that often. The 5.3L fuel tank will ensure less frequent fuel stops as Suzuki Access can eke out around 50 km/l of fuel efficiency, depending on the riding style.

    Ride & Ergonomics
    Acceleration is brisk and it has enough grunt to manage quick overtakes in the city. The new chassis feels almost similar to its predecessor, offering decent maneuverability. Suzuki is offering 90-section tyres at both ends. Wheel size is 12-inch at the front and 10-inch at the rear. We wished Suzuki offered 12-inches at both ends for better stability and bump absorption.

    Speaking of, ride quality is slightly on the stiffer side and bump absorption is slightly uneven as the wheel sizes differ. However, it is a city scooter to be used as a daily commuter and it does that job quite well and without any hassle. Seat is long and accommodating. Ground clearance is 160 mm, which didn’t pose any issues even on tallest of speed bumps.

    Braking is quite predictable and is acceptable for a 125cc family scooter. Front disc has decent bite and stopping power. Suzuki offers a parking brake with Access, which is a handy and welcome feature. Some rivals omit the parking brake feature, but I used it more than I thought I would have.

    Top variants of this scooter weigh 105 kg making it easy to maneuver in low speeds while parking or in city traffic. Rider ergonomics is spot on and it didn’t induce any discomfort in a 182 cm tall individual like myself. Switchgear is aptly positioned too – left gets turn indicators, horn and high beam pass, while right gets an engine kill switch and hazard light.

    Usability
    Front dual glove compartments can easily accept 500ml water bottles and with 2025 Access 125, Suzuki has carved out more under-seat storage than before. 24.4L in volume, to be precise. It will not accommodate a beefy XL sized full-face helmet, but it will easily accommodate a half-face helmet or a smaller and less beefy full-face helmet.

    The instrument cluster is fully digital and shows quite a lot of information. There are two buttons beside this cluster to control it and functions are quite intuitive. We can see time, speed, odometer and trip meter, fuel gauge and temperature gauge and are surrounded by tell-tale lights. This cluster supports smartphone connectivity via the proprietary Suzuki Ride Connect app.

    This app is intuitive as well and allows you to connect seamlessly with this system. Once connected, it will show call alerts, SMS alerts and even has turn-by-turn navigation which works well. Also, it has Whatsapp call and message alerts, calendar alerts and weather updates along with an auto-reply SMS feature. These features work quite well, fitting well with tech-savvy customers.
    Conclusions & Reservations
    Concluding the 2025 Suzuki Access is rather easy. It is a no-nonsense scooter that offers utmost reliability and aims to offer great value for the buck. However, we have a few reservations about this scooter as well. Some of them are major, while not classifying as deal breakers.

    1. We wished the scooter had a smart key implementation for keyless operations. Also, the physical ket that Suzuki offers is unusually long and digs into your thighs when placed in pant pockets.
    2. We wished this scooter offered better Bluetooth range and a more stable connection. That’s because the connection would drop when I placed my phone in my pant pockets even though it is just 3 feet away from this cluster.
    3. For Bluetooth to work, I had to place my phone in the front glove compartment, which is not lockable. So, I was always on the lookout that someone might nick my phone in traffic.
    4. The USB Type-A charger on Access is quite slow as my Samsung flagship phone only managed to gather around 5% of charge despite plugging it in for more than an hour.
    5. The under-seat storage could have been longer and offered more volume to keep two half-face helmets side-by-side, something that rival scooters can.

    The one to get?
    None of these reservations are deal breakers, which is a good thing. Also, most of these can be fixed in the future by Suzuki if there is enough demand for it. Even the LED headlights are quite decent, offering nice throw and spread of light. Particularly acceptable for city applications. Special mention to Suzuki Ride Connect system that allows for easy pairing and doesn’t require your number to be registered in the company’s database before using it.
    2025 Suzuki Access is a strong contender in the 125cc family scooter space and it has great potential to be an all-rounder scooter. In terms of sales, Suzuki Access is currently India’s 3rd best-selling scooters, behind Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter.     Issue with headlight PCB structure
    Honda has identified a potential issue in the internal PCB structure that links to the motorcycle’s headlight. During normal use over a long time, vibrations and other movements can potentially cause fatigue breaks in the core wires at the root of terminals. Depending on the level of breakage, the headlights can start to flicker or completely shut off.
