Bajaj To Launch The New Best Chetak Yet On 20th Dec – Official Teaser

2025 Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter LaunchIn addition to a new chassis, upcoming new Chetak electric scooter can also get an improved battery pack
Bajaj Chetak electric scooter was a relatively slow starter at the time of its launch in 2020. However, with new models, price cuts, continuous improvements and network expansion, Chetak has emerged as the third best selling electric scooter in the country.
    2025 Bajaj Chetak model – What’s new?
It is expected that the new 2025 Chetak model will be utilizing an entirely new platform. This will be part of the continuous improvements that Bajaj has introduced for Chetak over the years. The primary idea is to introduce changes that improve Chetak’s competencies against rival offerings. Chetak takes on rivals such as Ola S1, Ather Rizta and TVS iQube. These rival electric scooters offer more practicality with their bigger storage space. With the new Chetak model, Bajaj may be looking to achieve something similar.
2025 Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter Launch Teaser
Using an entirely new chassis, 2025 Bajaj Chetak is expected to be more lightweight. This will improve its performance as well as range. In the new platform, the battery pack could be moved under the floorboard. This will ensure that there’s ample space under the seat. With the battery pack placed under the floorboard, overall control and handling of the scooter will also improve. The lower centre of gravity will be beneficial while cornering, sudden braking and acceleration and manoeuvring the scooter at low speeds.
The battery pack could also be updated with a more advanced unit. It could be more energy efficient and safer as well. Assuming that a more advanced battery pack is used, the new Chetak could deliver a higher range. It is also possible that a higher capacity battery pack could be accommodated with the new platform. This too will boost performance and range.
    Bajaj Chetak Spied Testing
In the teaser, Bajaj claims that this will be the Best Chetak yet. They are also saying it will be Fully Lifeproof. With the upcoming 2025 Chetak model, Bajaj will be looking to further boost its market share in the electric two-wheeler segment. In October 2024, Chetak had a market share of 20.29%. That’s pretty close to the 21.50% market share of TVS iQube, the second best selling electric scooter.
    Lower pricing, improved styling?
To make Chetak more accessible, the new 2025 model could be launched at a lower price point. Just like the current model, there will be multiple variants of the new 2025 Chetak. The base variant could be made more affordable. As of now, the base 2903 variant of Bajaj Chetak with the 2.88 kWh battery pack is available at a starting price of Rs 95,998. Next is Chetak 3202, priced at Rs 1,15,018. The top variant 3201 is available at Rs 1,27,244. There’s a Special Edition version as well, priced at Rs 1,28,744.
Existing Chetak variants have a range of 123 to 137 km. Base variant has a top speed of 63 km/H, whereas the others are rated at 73 km/H. While the new 2025 Chetak will retain its classic design format in most parts, there could be some minor cosmetic adjustments. Some new colour options could also be introduced with the new Chetak electric scooter. More

Hero Electric Online Website Has Been Offline – Service Temporary Unavailable

Hero Electric Scooter Launch Event – File photo from 2023
While Hero Electric was once among the preferred options, controversies related to dealers and alleged FAME II subsidy misappropriation have dented the brand’s reputation
It is commendable that Hero Electric was among the first businesses to offer electric two-wheelers in India. The company had launched its operations around 2009. Someone at Hero Electric had the vision to foresee that electric vehicles are the future of the automotive world.
    Hero Electric website down
It is important to note that Hero Electric is a completely distinct entity and should not be confused with Hero MotoCorp. The latter is primarily focused on ICE two-wheelers, although VIDA electric scooter is also available. Talking about Hero Electric, the official website (heroelectric.in) is down for around two weeks. There’s evidence to support that with the help of Web Archives. Hero Electric’s website currently shows the ‘503 Service Temporarily Unavailable’ error message.
Hero Electric Dealers Protest – File photo Aug 2024
While this can happen to any website due to technical issues, Hero Electric’s website going offline for several days is quite intriguing. Conversations on Hero Electric’s X handle are also pretty sparse, with the last update posted in June 2024. Finding relevant links about Hero Electric on search engines has also become quite challenging. When there are no or limited updates from a website or brand, search engines adjust the rankings accordingly. And even for links that are available, the 503-error message is displayed.
Hero Electric – What went wrong?
Hero Electric was doing pretty good just a few years back. In 2022, the company had reported its best ever annual sales of 100,123 units. Hero Electric had ambitious plans to produce 5 million EVs in three years. The company was expanding its charging network in collaboration with its partners. New facilities were also being planned such as the 170-acre plant in Salarpur industrial area in Rajasthan. The company had also partnered with multiple NBFCs to provide easy finance options to its customers.
Troubles for Hero Electric started when its name came up in alleged FAME subsidy misappropriations. FAME subsidy was meant for components manufactured locally. It was alleged that Hero Electric had claimed subsidy on parts that were imported. Other EV brands were also involved in similar cases, some of whom decided to return the subsidy amount. But Hero Electric challenged the allegations made by the investigative agencies. The company even made a counter claim and demanded Rs 556 crore from the government. According to Hero Electric, this amount was the pending subsidy for past EV sales.
    Trouble with dealers
Earlier this year, Hero Electric dealers had protested against the company for alleged pending payments of Rs 500 crore. The dealers said that they have not received any payment in the past two years. Responding to the allegations, Hero Electric had said that the issues will be resolved by December 2024.
    SFIO raids
In the latest development, the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) has raided Hero Electric premises in connection with the FAME subsidy misappropriation case. Raids were also conducted at Benling India and Okinawa. Benling India website is currently showing as “Account Suspended”. It is not certain if this is linked to the search operations conducted by SFIO. According to SFIO, subsidies of around Rs 297 crore have been misappropriated. During the search operations, SFIO has confiscated various account books, digital data and other potential evidence. More

Bajaj Freedom CNG Price Cut – Customers Benefit By Up To Rs 10K

Bajaj Freedom CNG Price CutTo make the Freedom CNG bike more accessible, Bajaj has reduced prices in the range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000
In a short period of time, Bajaj Freedom CNG motorcycle has emerged as a bestseller. In October, Freedom CNG sales were at 30,051 units. That makes it the fourth best-selling product in Bajaj’s portfolio. MoM gain was 53.02%, as compared to 19,639 units sold in September 2024.
Bajaj Freedom CNG price cut – Stock down by around 2%
It was in July 2024 when the world got its first dual-fuel CNG motorcycle. Freedom CNG bike was a significant milestone for Bajaj. However, just five months after its launch, Bajaj Freedom CNG 125 prices have been reduced. The base variant gets a price cut of Rs 5,000, whereas the mid-level variant is cheaper by Rs 10,000.
Bajaj Freedom CNG base variant (drum) new price is Rs 89,997. The mid-spec Freedom CNG (Drum, LED) variant is available at Rs 95,002. Pricing for the top variant, which has a disc brake and LED lights, remains unchanged at 1.10 lakh. The price reduction does not result in any changes to the equipment list.
Price reduction will be beneficial for customers and it can also help boost sales of Bajaj Freedom CNG bike. However, stock markets have treated the price cuts as a negative development. Especially due to the gap between actual sales and dispatches to dealerships. As per VAHAN data, sales of Bajaj Freedom CNG 125 are shown at 34,000 units to date. But dispatches to dealerships are at 80,000 units. Moreover, price cuts were also announced on select Pulsar models after Diwali.
    Bajaj Freedom 125
Due to a negative reaction by stock markets, Bajaj Auto’s share price had tanked by around 2%. It is down to Rs 8,983. UBS expects a further correction in the stock price of Bajaj Auto. The stock price of Bajaj Auto has already been corrected by around 30% since its peak of Rs 12,774 in September 2024. UBS has a sell recommendation for Bajaj Auto and has set a price target of Rs 7,800.
‘Buy’ rating for Bajaj Auto by other analysts
Even though UBS has given a ‘sell’ rating, not all analysts have the same opinion. Among 47 analysts that cover Bajaj Auto stock, 20 analysts still maintain a positive ‘Buy’ rating. And 11 analysts have given a ‘Hold’ rating for Bajaj Auto stock. The remaining 16 analysts have a ‘Sell’ rating for Bajaj Auto stock.
It remains to be seen how Bajaj Auto stock will perform in the coming days. While domestic two-wheeler sales growth in November is negative (YoY), exports have registered a gain of 26%. Overall, the YoY growth is positive in November at 5%. YTD (Year to Date) numbers are better, revealing positive growth in both domestic and international markets.
Nitin Gadkari and Rajiv Bajaj at the Freedom CNG launch
Bajaj is India’s largest two-wheeler exporter and expects better performance in the coming months. For its Freedom CNG bike, the strong potential exists in markets like Tanzania, Egypt, Peru and Columbia. Bajaj will also introduce new products, which can help deliver better sales growth figures. Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Name Trademarked – Launch Soon?

Hero Mavrick 440 ScramblerAlong with new design elements, there might be tuning to Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler’s powertrain and suspension setup for a unique character
India’s leading motorcycle manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, is currently on a mission to revamp its premium lineup. Not just that, the goal is also to offer a premium ownership experience and that’s where Hero’s Premia dealerships come into action. Populating these new dealerships is tasked to a multitude of current and upcoming motorcycles.
Among these upcoming motorcycles, Hero showcased a few at EICMA 2024 last month. Among the showcased motorcycles, Mavrick 440 Scrambler was missing, whose design patent was leaked ahead of EICMA 2024. Now, the trademark application of Hero Mavrick 440 has been leaked suggesting a launch might be around the corner.
    Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler
Where genre is concerned, Hero Mavrick 440 is a Roadster with hints of a neo-retro motorcycle. However, it can be easily confused as it doesn’t make a lasting impression on audience. The ‘Jack of all trades’ approach might be lending it a slightly convoluted identity. If only there was a more dedicated genre approach, there’s a lot to like about Mavrick 440.
That’s exactly where Mavrick 440 Scrambler might excel. This is Hero’s first ever scrambler vehicle to hit the market. After the leaked design patents, trademark filings have been leaked, confirming the name of this upcoming motorcycle. As seen in filing from Hero MotoCorp limited, Mavrick 440 Scrambler name is already registered.
Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Name Trademarked
The design patents leaked last month suggest that Mavrick 440 Scrambler will have upgraded components over standard model on sale today. There are new design elements on Scrambler variant too, helping in establishing a unique identity of its own. Powertrain could be the same 440cc oil-cooled unit with 27 bhp and 36 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
    Design changes
Some of these design changes include a new fly screen and fork gaiters on RSU telescopic forks at the front to lend Scrambler vibes. There is a new handlebar that comes with a cross brace as opposed to the simpler one seen on standard Mavrick 440. Alloy wheel design is new and might get a dual-tone effect.
Fuel tank looks like it is carried over. However, tank shrouds on Mavrick 440 Scrambler get a new pattern and side body panels are new, for a rugged vibe. Rear sub frame looks new and it is slightly raised for more ground clearance. LED tail lights and rear mud guard are unique with this variant.
New Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler Variant
Seat looks much flatter and is a split-type design as opposed to Mavrick 440’s single-piece approach. Other notable changes include beefy-looking side guards along with a engine bash plate that might be made out of metal. Together with these new design elements, Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler looks a lot more macho and appealing. When launched, it take on Royal Enfield Scram 440 and Triumph’s upcoming Scrambler T4. More
