2025 TVS iQube S and ST Launched – Bigger Battery, More Range

2025 TVS iQube S and STTVS Motor has been updating its iQube electric scooter lineup periodically to keep them relevant and boost sales at the same time. In that regard, we got to see the launch of 2025 TVS iQube S and ST variants in India with an updated powertrain that is aimed to offer more range for buyers. Let’s take a look at all the updates.
2025 TVS iQube S and ST
Ever since it was launched, TVS iQube has emerged as one of the best-selling electric scooters in India. Now that Ola Electric sales are crumbling down, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak have gained quite a bit of the market share. There are multiple trim levels of iQube and only the S and ST trims have been updated to MY25 version. Where design changes are concerned, we can see dual-tone seats, beige inner panels and a pillion backrest.
Starting with 2025 iQube S, the company has priced it at Rs 1.17 lakh (Effective Price, Delhi). Previously, it used to come equipped with a 3.3 kWh battery pack that was rated to deliver around 100 km of range on a single charge in the real world. The new 2025 iQube S gets a slightly larger 3.5 kWh battery pack and TVS is advertising it with an IDC range of 145 km on a single charge.
It continues to get a 7-inch TFT cluster with HMI integration and other features like 32L underseat storage, USB charging port, external charging socket, 118+ connected features, front disc brake, 78 km/h top speed, 0-40 km/h sprint in 4.2s, reverse mode, 12-inch tyres at both ends, LED lighting telematics, turn-by-turn navigation and more.
    2025 TVS iQube ST
    2025 iQube ST
The same 3.3 kWh to 3.5 kWh battery pack upgrade can also be seen with a smaller battery variant of the top-spec 2025 TVS iQube ST trim. However, 2025 iQube ST gets an upgrade to its larger battery variant where the 5.1 kWh battery pack has been replaced with a 5.3 kWh pack with a claimed IDC range of 212 km on a single charge. 2025 iQube ST 3.5 kWh costs Rs 1.28 lakh (Effective price) and 5.3 kWh variant costs 1.59 lakh (Effective price).
Being the top-spec iQube ST trim, it gets a host of features and technology on top of S trim. These include a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster that is a touchscreen, music control, voice assist with Alexa skillset and more. At 132 kg, it is slightly heavier than S trim and hence there is a slight drop in performance as it has a 0-40 km/h sprint of 4.5s.
In the Indian market, 2025 TVS iQube S and ST rival the likes of Ola S1 Pro and Pro+, Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida V2 Plus and V2 Pro, among others. With the larger batteries and more IDC-claimed range, the 2025 TVS iQube S and iQube ST are likely to attract more buyers than they did before.

Let’s check out the key features of the 2026 Toyota C-HR.
2026 Toyota C-HR EV Debuts – Performance, range

In Toyota’s USA lineup, the 2026 C-HR BEV is expected to be positioned above the bZ4X. Prices could start at around $42,000 (~ Rs 36 lakh). In the US, 2026 C-HR BEV will take on rivals such as Hyundai Kona Electric, Volkswagen ID.4 and Chevrolet Equinox EV. The target audience will primarily be buyers who are looking for a sporty, performance-oriented compact EV, offering AWD and a practical range. More

KTM Price Hike May 2025 Up To Rs 12k – RC 200, RC 390, 250 Duke, 390 Duke

KTM RC Supersport MotorcycleRecent price hike for KTM bikes is likely due to increased production costs; no new features added
KTM has announced an upward price revision for select bikes in the range of Rs 1,000 to Rs 12,000. The move aligns with industry trends, where rising operational costs and commodity prices have prompted other international brands such as Ducati and BMW Motorrad to increase prices in 2025. Let’s check out the new prices of KTM bikes.
KTM 390 Duke – Rs 1,000 price hike
A nominal price hike of Rs 1,000 is applicable on KTM 390 Duke. The new price is Rs 2.96 lakh, as compared to Rs 2.95 lakh earlier. Earlier this year, KTM had slashed prices of 390 Duke by Rs 18,000. This effectively brought down the price of 390 Duke from Rs 3.13 lakh to Rs 2.95 lakh (all prices Ex-sh).
    KTM 390 Duke
It made the bike more accessible to enthusiasts and helped avoid the psychological barrier associated with the Rs 3 lakh plus price tag. KTM had retained this reduced pricing for 390 Duke even after adding cruise control as standard in March. With cruise control, a first-in-segment feature, 390 Duke has improved capabilities for long-distance rides.
Users can set a specific cruising speed, which does away with the need for continuous throttle inputs. This reduces hand fatigue and enhances overall ride experience. Along with the cruise control update, KTM had also introduced a new Ebony Black Colour option with the bike in March. 390 Duke is currently available with colour options of Atlantic Blue and Electronic Orange as well.
    KTM RC 390
KTM 250 Duke, RC 390 – Rs 5,000 price hike
Both KTM 250 Duke and RC 390 have become costlier by Rs 5,000. KTM 250 Duke new price is Rs 2.30 lakh, as compared to Rs 2.25 lakh earlier. KTM RC 390 new price is Rs 3.23 lakh, as compared to Rs 3.18 lakh earlier. KTM 250 Duke takes on rivals such as Hero Xtreme 250R, Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Bajaj Pulsar N250 (all prices Ex-sh).
Equipped with a 249.07 cc, liquid-cooled engine, KTM 250 Duke generates 31 PS and 25 Nm of torque. Key features include LED lighting, 43 mm WP APEX USD forks, off-centre WP APEX Emulsion rear shock absorber, 320 mm / 240 mm disc brakes and dual-channel ABS. The bike has a 5-inch LCD instrument display that supports incoming calls, music access and turn-by-turn navigation.
New KTM Duke 250 Ceramic White
KTM RC 390 utilizes a 373 cc, liquid-cooled engine that generates 43.5 PS and 37 Nm of torque. The bike takes on rivals such as Yamaha R3 and TVS Apache RR310. KTM is expected to introduce the new RC 390 in India in 2025. Test mule sightings of the new model have been reported in Europe. There are major updates across both styling and hardware.
KTM RC 200 – Rs 12,000 price hike
As compared to other bikes, KTM RC 200 has the highest price hike of Rs 12,000. It is now available at a starting price of Rs 2.33 lakh, as compared to Rs 2.21 lakh earlier. Powering the KTM RC 200 is a 199.5 cc, liquid-cooled engine that generates 25.8 PS and 19.5 Nm of torque. The bike has a 6-speed gearbox. KTM RC 200 takes on rivals such as Yamaha R15 V4, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, Hero Karizma XMR and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (all prices Ex-sh).

MG Windsor Pro Vs Creta Electric VS Curvv EV – Specs, Performance Compared

MG Windsor Pro vs Creta Electric vs Curvv EVMG Windsor Pro was launched in India for an introductory price of Rs 17.49 lakh (Ex-sh) for the first 8,000 buyers. At this introductory price, Windsor Pro undercuts base prices of Hyundai Creta Electric and Tata Curvv EV, despite being a top-spec variant. These base variants of Creta Electric and Curvv EV come equipped with smaller batteries with less range and features.
Those 8,000 bookings came in under a day and the new Ex-sh price is Rs 18.1 lakh, which is still around the base prices of Creta Electric and Curvv EV. But in this comparison, we will compare Windsor Pro with absolute top variant of Creta Electric and Curvv EV across specs, powertrain and performance.
    MG Windsor Pro Vs Rivals
As seen in the charts, Windsor Pro appears as the most affordable top-spec variant in this comparison as it is priced at Rs 18.1 lakh (Ex-sh). Curvv EV tops out at Rs 22.24 lakh (Ex-sh) for Empowered+ A 55 #Dark variant and Creta Electric emerges as the most expensive at Rs 24.38 lakh (Ex-sh) for Excellence 51.4 LR DT. At these price points, let’s compare the specs.
Creta Electric is the longest in this comparison, but Windsor Pro is the widest, tallest and has the longest wheelbase. Curvv EV’s wheelbase is the smallest and similar to that of Nexon’s. There’s no frunk on offer with Windsor Pro because it has a small bonnet and most of its length is utilised on the inside. It is easily the most spacious in this trio by a landslide.
MG Windsor Pro vs Creta Electric vs Curvv EV – Dimensions
Curvv EV’s 500L boot is not bad, but Windsor Pro offers 579L and regular Windsor has an even larger boot. Curvv EV and Windsor Pro offer 18-inch alloy wheels and have 186 mm ground clearance, while Creta Electric has smaller 17-inch alloys, but a higher 200 mm ground clearance. All vehicles in this comparison offer 215-section tyres.
Windsor Pro is the only one that is a born electric vehicle, while other two are derived EVs. Tata Curvv EV is the only with with a crash safety rating (5 Star, BNCAP). All three vehicles get a single-motor FWD layout and they all get 6 airbags, 360-degree cameras and a sophisticated Level-2 ADAS suite.
    Powertrains Compared
Curvv EV has the biggest battery at 55 kWh and correspondingly, the highest range at 502 km (ARAI). Windsor Pro promises 449 km on a single charge from its 52.9 kWh pack and Creta Electric promises 473 km on a single charge from its 51.4 kWh battery pack. All of them come with variable regen modes to replenish the battery, but Creta Electric is the only one to get i-Pedal mode (one pedal driving), which is really handy.
MG Windsor Pro vs Creta Electric vs Curvv EV – Specs
Creta Electric is the most powerful in this trio as it packs 171 bhp and 255 Nm, promising a 0-100 km/h in 7.9s. Curvv EV is second and Windsor Pro is not designed to be hustled. Where AC charging is concerned, Creta Electric comes out on top again as it offers an 11 kW charger, while Windsor Pro gets 7.4 kW and Curvv EV 7.2 kW. Due to that, charging times are also lowest on Creta Electric. In DC charging, Curvv EV pulls ahead, but you need to find a compatible charger to match those speeds.
While all three vehicles have their Pros and Cons, it is obvious to see why Windsor Pro sells as much as it does. It is the most affordable of this bunch by a landslide and it is the only one with flexible BaaS (Battery as a Service) plans. It is also the most spacious and tech-savvy. Curvv EV’s strength is that it is stylish with its Coupe SUV design and Creta Electric’s strength is that it is a Creta, which is still quite unshakable. More

The company is redefining its premium scooter and motorcycle lineup with a new 10-year Total Warranty on its made-in-India vehicles as part of this celebration. Let’s take a closer look.
    Yamaha 10-Year Total Warranty
With a goal to offer more value to its customers, India Yamaha Motors has upped the game in the aftersales aspect. The company is basically offering an extended warranty with their made-in-India scooters and motorcycles that take a total coverage period of 10 years. This might emerge as a game-changing strategy for the brand in its 2W journey in India.
    Yamaha R15
Called 10-year Total Warranty, the company is offering an 8-year extended warranty on top of the standard 2-year warranty. This is in a bid to offer long-term reliability of their scooters and motorcycles along with delivering superior quality and total peace of mind across the country with its made-in-India scooters and motorcycles.
So, imports like the MT-03 and R3 are not part of this offer. This extended warranty will be applicable to coverages regarding the engine and electrical components including its electronic fuel injection system. This is a limited-period offer only and is being implemented as part of its 40-year milestone operating in India.
2025 Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S – Ice Fluo Vermillion
    Extended coverage
As part of this limited-period offer, Yamaha is extending the warranty of its scooter lineup (Fascino 125 Fi, RayZR Fi and Aerox 155 Version S) with a coverage of up to 1,00,000 km and motorcycle lineup (FZ Series, MT-15 and R15) with a coverage of up to 1,25,000 km as part of its 10-years Total Warranty.
Sweetening the deal further is the fact that this 10-year Total Warranty is fully transferable to subsequent owners. This will boost resale value of its scooters and motorcycles bought within a limited time period when this offer persisted. After this offer period is over, new buyers can still opt for this extended warranty at a nominal cost once the standard warranty period is over.
    2024 Yamaha FZ-X Chrome Colour
As mentioned above, this 10-year Total Warranty offer is only for a limited period and is applicable only for made-in-India scooters and motorcycles. This initiative is likely to provide the company with a good response and build lasting relationships with customers and offer premium and VFM propositions to buyers. More

Maruti eVitara Patented In India – Customer Previews From Next Month In Netherlands

Maruti eVitara Patented In IndiaA truly global product, Maruti Suzuki eVitara will be manufactured in India and exported to more than 100 global markets including Europe and Japan
Maruti is readying its first fully electric car, the eVitara, for launch in September 2025. Ahead of that, the eVitara has been patented in India. Similar exercises are likely to be happening across the intended export markets as well. Let’s explore some of the key highlights of Maruti Suzuki eVitara.
Maruti eVitara – Styling and features
With its muscular profile, Maruti eVitara will be easily recognizable on the streets. It has distinctive lighting elements, a rugged bumper and a sculpted bonnet with prominent grooves. Side profile has polygonal wheel arches, thick body cladding, sporty alloy wheels and door moulding. While the front has traditional door handles, the rear units are mounted on the C-pillars. At the rear, eVitara has a raked windshield, connected tail lamps and a chunky bumper.
    Maruti eVitara Patented In India
Users will be able to access a comprehensive range of premium features with the eVitara. Some of the key highlights include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch multi-information display, fixed glass sunroof, premium sound system by Harman, multi-colour ambient lighting and wireless charger. eVitara also gets power adjustable driver seat, ventilated seats and customizable seat options.
Safety package includes 7-airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic parking brake with brake hold function and all-wheel disc brakes. The SUV will have ADAS Level 2, a 360° view camera and front and rear parking sensors.
    Maruti Suzuki eVitara India Debut
Battery pack options for Maruti eVitara include a 49-kWh and a 61-kWh unit. These will be Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) units, sourced from BYD. Variants with the larger battery pack are expected to deliver a range of around 500 km. Both 2WD and AWD (Suzuki AllGrip-e system) options will be available with the eVitara. The AWD variants will come with drive modes of Eco, Normal and Sport. There will be an additional Snow Mode as well for handling snow and other slippery surfaces.
Suzuki eVitara preview event in The Netherlands
eVitara preview event in the Netherlands
Europe will be among the key markets for the eVitara. With that in mind, Suzuki has started its promotional campaigns across the continent. In June, preview events for the eVitara will be conducted at four special locations in the Netherlands. Users will be able to explore the eVitara inside and out. However, Suzuki won’t be offering any test drives at these events.
Similar promotional events are expected to be organized in Japan as well. Made in India Maruti cars have emerged as popular options in Japan. For example, Fronx had registered cumulative bookings of around 9,000 units in Japan. This is 9 times more than the initial target set by Suzuki. India-made 5-door Jimny emerged an even more popular choice in Japan, with 50,000 bookings received in just 4 days. Bookings had to be paused, as the waiting period stretched to a staggering 3.5 years.
eVitara will be manufactured at Suzuki’s plant in Gujarat. Production is expected to commence soon. Around 70,000 units are planned to be manufactured in 2025, most of which will be meant for export markets. Allocation for the domestic market could be increased in the future based on demand and available production capacity. In India, the Maruti eVitara will be sold via the brand’s Nexa dealerships. Tesla India Cancels 9-Yr-Old Reservation – New Bookings To Commence Soon?

    New Tesla Model Y Juniper
While Tesla’s entry into India has been perennially delayed since 2016, recent developments indicate a strong possibility of a launch in 2025
It was in 2016 that Tesla had started accepting pre bookings for the Model 3 in India. Early adopters from top cities such as Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru were on the radar. However, due to multiple reasons including high import duty, the launch never happened. Tesla is now cancelling and refunding all old bookings including the ones made in 2016. Does this indicate a potential commencement of new bookings? Let’s find out.
    Reservation cancellation email from Tesla
In an email sent to one of the early reservation holders of the Model 3, Tesla mentions that many of their products have been replaced over the years and new products have also been launched. Among the ones that have been replaced with upgraded versions is the original Model 3 that was introduced in 2017. The sedan has received multiple incremental updates and a major facelift (Highland refresh) in 2023-2024.
    Tesla India Cancel 9-Yr-Old Reservation.
As per the email, Tesla is offering a refund of the reservation fee. Tesla has mentioned that the brand will reach out in the market again after they have finalized their product offerings in India. This statement can be considered a strong hint of a launch in the near future. Reservation holders have been asked to provide their banking and other details, so that the refund can be processed in a prompt manner.
Why Tesla’s India launch seems likely in 2025?
Apart from the cancellation of old reservations for Model 3, there have been various other developments that indicate a potential launch in 2025. For example, Tesla has finalized its first showroom in India at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. BKC is one of the most premium commercial spaces in Mumbai. Tesla has leased around 4,000 square feet, with monthly rental at Rs 35 lakh and 5% annual increase. Tesla is also looking to set up similar-sized showrooms in other Indian cities such as Delhi.
Another strong indicator of Tesla’s entry into India is the initiation of the homologation process for Model 3 and Model Y. Tesla will be importing these cars as CBUs in the initial phase. Based on market response and demand, local assembly or local manufacturing could be considered at a later date. Outside of the United States, Tesla has manufacturing facilities in China and Germany. The CBUs to be shipped to India are likely to be sourced from Tesla’s Gigafactory in Berlin, Germany.
Tesla and other global EV brands will also benefit from the relaxed EV import policy. Import duty will be reduced from 70–100% earlier to just 15%, applicable on premium EVs. This policy shift will be beneficial for Tesla and other brands that plan to use the CBU route in the initial phase.
There are also talks about a trade deal between India and the USA. Negotiations are said to be progressing in a positive manner and the trade deal could be announced by the end of this year. This trade deal could further benefit companies like Tesla. More

MG Windsor Pro First Drive Review – Icing On The Cake

MG Windsor Pro First Drive ReviewWithin India’s electric car segment, there are multiple players. Some are former dominators but have lost major market share and some are on their journey to be the country’s best-selling electric car brand. JSW MG Motor India falls in the latter category and has found great success with Windsor EV, which is already India’s best-selling electric car.
Improving on their offering further, MG has just launched Windsor EV Pro, which is a, well, a Pro version of Windsor EV. We experienced this vehicle as part of the national media drive organised by MG Motor. While it is vastly familiar, Windsor EV Pro addresses some of the shortcomings that media and buyers expressed with Windsor. After driving this vehicle across Assam and Meghalaya, here’s what we think about this new EV.
    MG Windsor Pro
MG Windsor Pro First Drive Review
We should start with the pricing, as they have been announced already. MG’s introductory prices have ended as the first 8,000 bookings came well within a day. MG Windsor Pro has been priced at Rs 18.1 lakh (Ex-sh) without BaaS pricing and Rs 13.09 lakh + Rs 4.5 per km with BaaS pricing with battery as a rental service.
    MG Windsor Pro
There are three new colours with Windsor Pro – Celadon Blue, Glaze Red and Aurora Silver. Of these three, Glaze Red is likely to garner a lot of bookings as it looked quite eye-candy. Windsor Pro gets a new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels that looks like it could be lighter than what is offered with Windsor. Another change with Windsor Pro is an ADAS badge in Red highlights.
    MG Windsor Pro
    Design changes
Where design is concerned, those are the only changes and Windsor Pro continues to smite buyers with its premium flair and roomy silhouette. It is still the same size too. The only other exterior change is that it now gets an electrically operated tailgate which ups the premium quotient providing access to its massive boot. Other than this, it is virtually identical to Windsor, which you might already be familiar with.
    MG Windsor Pro
Even on the inside, there are no real changes other than the fact that it now gets Black and Ivory dual-tone upholstery. Even though Ivory upholstery is hard to keep clean, it is a welcome change as it makes the cabin look and feel roomier and adds a flair of sophistication too. The new Ivory shade and Windsor’s Infinity View glass roof transforms lend an airy feel.
    MG Windsor Pro
Other features continue to be the same on the inside, which is not a bad thing. The 2,700 mm long wheelbase carves out a lot of room for all occupants and rear seats still recline up to 135 degrees for a lounge-like experience. This cabin is ergonomic and it is well thought out. It gets soft-touch plastics, a floating centre console with storage and premium touches for AC vent knobs, power window switches and many more.
    MG Windsor Pro
The 15.6-inch free-standing infotainment screen is still slick to use and controls almost all the vehicular functions including headlights, ventilated seat controls and a lot more. Once you get used to it, the circular pod controls on steering wheel, infotainment screen and instrument cluster all feel like second nature and the learning curve is not that steep.
    MG Windsor Pro
    Added Pro Features
Main addition in terms of technology is not V2L (Vehicle to Load) or V2V (Vehicle to Vehicle), but it is the Level-2 ADAS suite. This was one of the main feedbacks with the Windsor EV, which MG has worked on rather quickly. MG, as a brand, is known for its advances in ADAS suite in Indian car market and democratising it for the masses.
    MG Windsor Pro
Now, Windsor Pro has autonomous features like auto emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beam assist and many others. We tried them out during our time with this vehicle on the highways and city roads and they work as advertised. Lane keep assist is not for twisty hill station roads as we had in Assam and Meghalaya, but should work very reliably on regular roads with an added safety net.
    MG Windsor Pro
A larger 52.9 kWh battery pack powers Windsor Pro, which is 39.2% larger than Windsor’s 38 kWh battery pack. With the larger battery pack, MG is claiming a 449 km range on a single charge, which is 35.64% more range than Windsor’s 331 km promised range. Higher range should act as a deterrent for range anxiety and eHUB by MG app has emerged as a key aspect in EV transitions.
    MG Windsor Pro
    Performance & Dynamics
When we started the journey in the morning, our Windsor Pro review unit had 99% charge and it was indicating 400+ km of range on a single charge. At the end of our journey, Windsor Pro’s battery SOC was at 44% and it was still showing a 187 km range left. In our experience, we found it quite close to reality and one could expect around 400 km of real-world range with MG Windsor Pro if driven sanely.
    MG Windsor Pro
Speaking of driving, there haven’t been any changes in the performance department. It continues to be powered by a sole 134 bhp and 200 Nm electric motor, driving front wheels only. There are multiple drive modes and Sport unlocks all the performance. 0-100 km/h spring can be done in around 10 seconds and instant acceleration is quite addictive. Regen braking is very effective as well and one can adjust regen level as per their liking.
    MG Windsor Pro
Dynamically, Windsor Pro remains more or less the same as Windsor EV. The hilly roads we took in Assam and Meghalaya tempted us to push this vehicle harder around corners. But we realised that corner carving is not Windsor Pro’s forte and it is not designed for spirited driving either. For intended use, Windsor Pro rides and handles quite well. We just wished bump absorption was a little better as it can get slightly unsettling once the speeds go up.
    MG Windsor Pro
    Conclusion
We just wished there were more features added with Windsor Pro, which was not the case. Primary of these is a rear washer and wiper, which continues to be a baffling omission. We didn’t feel the need for it when we drove Windsor in Gurgaon last year. We missed rear wiper a lot in Assam and Meghalaya where it rains cats and dogs. The other feature we expected was rear ventilated seats, which definitely sounds like a Pro feature to have in a market like India.
    MG Windsor Pro
Other than these, Windsor Pro is a significant step up from Windsor and can easily emerge as a phenomenon and probably even make JSW MG Motor India, the country’s best-selling electric car manufacturer. It has a lot of things going for it and a larger battery promising higher range along with an added safety net from Level-2 ADAS suite is the icing on the cake. More
