We’re talking about the 2025 Suzuki Avenis, which takes on the rivals like TVS iQube, Hero Xoom 125, Honda Dio 125, Yamaha RayZR 125 and others. This new dual-tone colourway is likely to boost sales for the brand.
      Suzuki Avenis New Colour
      Avenis has made it to the headlines multiple times in calendar year 2025. In March 2025, SMIPL launched an updated MY25 version of Avenis in the country. Then, Suzuki had not launched Standard Edition of this scooter, which happened in May 2025, bringing the starting price of this scooter down.

      Fast forwarding to August 2025, Suzuki is introducing a new dual-tone colourway with Avenis 125 at no additional cost. Called Metallic Matte Platinum Silver No.2 / Glass Sparkle Black, this new colourway is offered as part of standard palette and enjoys the same prices as before and with both Avenis and Avenis Standard Edition variants.
      Where pricing is concerned, this new colourway costs Rs 91,400 with the base Standard Edition and Rs 93,200 for Avenis (which used to be called Ride Conenct Edition) (both prices Ex-sh). Suzuki continues to offer Avenis Special Edition which priced at Rs 94,000 (Ex-sh) and gets a dedicated Metallic Matte Black No. 2 / Matte Titanium Silver colourway.

Other than the new colour, there are no changes to 2025 Suzuki Avenis and continues with the same features and equipment.

      Which means the new TFT screen from Suzuki is only offered with Access scooter. Powertrain remains the same, which is a 124.3cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit that is capable of developing 8.58 bhp of peak power and 10 Nm of peak torque.

      For global markets, Honda has introduced the updated 2026 version of X-ADV adventure scooter. There are several functional updates along with style enhancements and a set of new colours. However, the powertrain is the same as earlier. Let’s get more details about the 2026 Honda X-ADV.
      Design updates
      While Honda X-ADV already has a striking road presence, the new model gets an even sharper and dominating look and feel. Some of the key features include dual LED projector headlights and DRLs with integrated turn indicators. One can notice sculpted panelling all across, which ensures a muscular profile for the adventure scooter.

      Other key highlights include a large windscreen, crash guard, step-up seat configuration and upswept exhaust. X-ADV has sporty graphics on the panels, which further enhance its bold and adventurous character. 2026 Honda X-ADV will be offered with colour options of Graphite Black, Pearl Glare White and Matte Deep Mud Gray.

      In line with its environmental goal to achieve 100% sustainable material usage by 2050, the new X-ADV utilizes a number of recyclable parts. For example, the fairing and windscreen are made using DURABIO biomass plastic. Similarly, the black coloured cover is made using pre-consumer recycled polypropylene material. Honda car bumpers have been recycled for use as X-ADV’s seat bottom and luggage box.
      Performance, specs
      New Honda X-ADV retains the 745cc, liquid cooled, parallel twin, SOHC engine. It generates 59 PS and 69 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 6-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT). Users can choose to ride in Automatic Transmission (AT) mode or Manual Transmission (MT) mode. In case of the latter, gear changes are done via the paddle-shift style triggers installed on the left handlebar.

      Updated X-ADV has tweaks to the gearbox, which ensure smoother starting from standstill. Users can also experience better control at low speeds of under 10 km/h. This can be quite useful for urban conditions and when making U-turns. Clutch response has also been made smoother with the new model. Users can choose from ride modes of Standard, Sport, Rain and Gravel. A customizable ‘User’ mode is also available.
      Honda X-ADV utilizes a lightweight tubular steel diamond frame with USD front forks and Pro-Link swingarm at the rear. Wheel size is 17-inch front and 15-inch rear, wrapped in 120/70 and 160/60 tyres, respectively. These wheels are tubeless wire-spoke wheels, which ensure hassle-free riding. Braking setup comprises 296 mm floating double discs at front and 240 mm single disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is standard.

      This move was a strategic step in TVS’ ‘Reimagine 2030’ vision. James Chan, CEO and Founder of ION Mobility, has joined TVS Motor as a Senior Vice President and will spearhead TVS’ operations in ASEAN nations and will be responsible for the development and launch of M1-S electric scooter.

      Where design is concerned, M1-S bears a strong fascia with twin headlights and integrated eyebrow-like LED DRLs. These headlights lend a muscular stance to this electric scooter.       There seems to be a flat floorboard, a stepped single-piece seat, a stylish single-piece rear grab rail, LED tail lights and LED rear turn indicators. Alloy wheels are 14-inchers and are shod with fat tyres. We can see a disc brake at the front and rear wheels, promising a sure-footed braking experience.

      Telescopic front suspension, rear twin shock absorbers, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster and a smart key feature are notable elements of M1-S. There’s a 26L under-seat storage too. Powering the scooter is a 4.3 kWh battery pack and an electric motor rated at 12.5 kW of peak power and 254 Nm rear wheel torque and 45 Nm rated torque.

      Electric Car Sales July 2025 – Tata, MG, Mahindra, Hyundai, BYD

      The Indian electric passenger vehicle market, which includes models in the sedan, SUV, and MPV segments, has been experiencing increasing demand in recent months. In July 2025, this segment recorded sales of 15,423 units, representing a remarkable 93% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to July 2024. Additionally, the past month witnessed highest monthly sales of electric vehicles recorded between January and July 2025.
      Tata Motors Tops With 6,019 Unit Sales
      Tata Motors led the electric car segment with the highest monthly sales tally of 6,019 units. The company that has the Punch, Nexon, Currv, Tiago and Tigor and more recently the Harrier in its electric vehicle segment, recorded its highest monthly sales in this calendar year, thereby relating to an 18% YoY growth. However, despite this growth, increasing competition from other companies has reduced Tata Motors’ market share to 38%, down from 67% in the previous year.
      At No. 2 on the electric car sales list was JSW MG Motor India with 5,061 units sold last month. This was also the automakers highest sales in this calendar year while its market share improved dramatically to 32% from 16% on a YoY basis. The company’s electric portfolio includes the Windsor, Comet and ZS EV while more recently the M9 MPV and Cyberster electric sportscar have been introduced. The M9 and Cyberster are premium products sold exclusively via MG Select Channels.
      Mahindra EV sales were at 2,810 units in July 2025. Sales have declined as compared to sales in the earlier 3 months of this calendar year while the company has witnessed a two fold increase in its market share to 17% from 8% held in the year ago period. Mahindra’s two new offerings, the BE6 and XEV 9e have further cemented the company position in this electric segment.
      Electric Car Sales July 2025
      Till date, deliveries had only commenced for the top Pack Three variants of both these models. The mid-spec Pack Two variants have just commenced. These sales will add further impetus to company sales in the coming months.
      Hyundai and BYD accounted for sales of 610 units and 457 units in July 2025 while Kia India sales stood at 57 units. Hyundai sales were further augmented by the new Creta Electric while the Ioniq 5 also received increased attention. BYD sales declined from 504 units sold in June and commands a 2% share in the EV segment.
      Kia India with 57 unit sales last month marked its best ever monthly sales in 2025. It currently offers the EV6 and the EV9 in this space while last month, it first mass-market EV – Carens Clavis EV was introduced. Citroen added 41 units to the electric car tally last month, recording its lowest ever monthly sales this calendar year. The company has not seen much demand for its e-C3, its sole electric offering.
      Luxury EV Sales July 2025
      In the luxury EV segment, BMW was at a No. 1 spot with 233 unit sales in July 2025. It was followed by Mercedes Benz with 85 unit sales. BMW currently commands a 58% share in luxury EV segment followed by Mercedes-Benz with a 28% share. At No. 3 was Volvo with 41 unit sales last month while Porsche sold 6 units, Rolls Royce sold 2 units and Audi accounted for 1 unit sales of its e-tron SUV in the luxury EV segment. More

      Next Gen Oben Rorr EZ SigmaOben Electric, a Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle manufacturer, has launched the next-generation Rorr EZ Sigma, priced at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 3.4 kWh battery variant. The company also introduced a higher 4.4 kWh variant at Rs 1.37 lakh. These are introductory prices valid for a limited period, after which the prices will be Rs 1.47 lakh and Rs 1.55 lakh respectively. Bookings are now open for Rs 2,999 with deliveries set to begin from August 15, 2025.
      Key Features and Upgrades
      The Rorr EZ Sigma brings several upgrades over its predecessor, aimed at enhancing everyday commuting. It now comes equipped with a Reverse Mode for easier maneuvering in tight spaces, a 5-inch TFT colour display with built-in navigation, and real-time alerts for calls, messages, and music. Additionally, it gets bold new graphics and a new Electric Red colour option alongside the existing palette of Photon White, Electro Amber, and Surge Cyan.

      Comfort has also been improved with an ergonomically enhanced seat designed for longer commutes. Riders can choose between two battery options—3.4 kWh and 4.4 kWh—both powered by Oben’s proprietary high-performance LFP battery technology, which boasts higher temperature resistance and double the lifespan of conventional batteries.
      Performance and Range
      Both variants offer a top speed of 95 km/h and can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. With 52 Nm of torque, the Rorr EZ Sigma ensures a smooth and responsive ride. The IDC range stands at up to 175 km on a single charge, and the bike supports fast charging, reaching 80% in just 1.5 hours. Three ride modes—Eco, City, and Havoc—allow riders to tailor performance to their needs.
      Customers will also receive a complimentary one-year subscription to the upgraded Oben Electric App. This allows access to features such as ‘Find My Rorr’, remote diagnostics, ride tracking, smart alerts, and anti-theft protection. It also offers access to over 68,000 charging stations across India.
      Design and Safety
      Built on Oben’s ARX frame, the Rorr EZ Sigma is designed specifically for Indian conditions. It offers 200 mm ground clearance, 7-step adjustable rear mono-shock suspension, and wide 130/70-17 tyres for road stability. Safety is further enhanced by Unified Brake Assist (UBA), a Driver Alert System (DAS), geo-fencing theft protection, and vandalism protection.
      The Rorr EZ Sigma is available with EMIs starting from Rs 2,999. It also comes with Oben’s Battery Protect 8/80 Plan, offering an 8-year or 80,000 km battery warranty for Rs 9,999, which is transferable and enhances resale value. Oben Electric is offering test rides nationwide and will also sell the Rorr EZ Sigma via Amazon for added customer convenience.

      Two Wheeler Sales July 2025 – Honda, Hero, TVS, Bajaj, Suzuki, Royal Enfield

      Two wheeler sales in July 2025 ended on a positive note. A closer look at the 6 leading two wheeler makers and their sales performance over the past month saw that Honda’s 2W sales far exceeded that of Hero MotoCorp both in terms of domestic sales and exports to make it the new No. 1 OEM in this group.
      Honda Outsells Hero MotoCorp in 2W Domestic Market
      6 leading two wheeler manufacturers, Honda, Hero, TVS, Bajaj, Suzuki and Royal Enfield, have reported domestic sales at 14,99,010 units in July 2025. This was an improvement of 9.29% over 13,71,560 units sold in July 2024. It also related to a marginal MoM improvement of 0.26% when compared to 14,95,168 units sold in June 2025.
      2W Sales July 2025 – Domestic YoY
      There was a reshuffle for the No. 1 spot. Last month, Hero MotoCorp, a dominant market leader in the two wheeler segment, found its No. 1 spot usurped by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI). Honda sales in domestic markets stood at 4,66,331 units, a 53,934 unit volume increase over Hero sales of 4,12,397 units.
      Honda sales grew YoY by 6.20% to 4,66,331 units from 4,39,118 units sold in July 2024 while it commanded a 31.11% share on this list. Honda also showed off a strong 19.94% MoM growth from 3,88,812 unit sales of June 2025. At No. 2 on this list, Hero sales stood at 4,12,397 units, an 18.66% YoY growth from 3,47,535 units sold in July 2024 while its MoM sales declined by 21.47% over a high of 5,25,136 units of June 2025.
      2W Sales July 2025 – Domestic MoM
      TVS has posted a strong YoY and MoM growth by 21.42% and 9.86% respectively to 3,08,720 units sold last month while Bajaj Auto saw its sales decline sharply to 1,39,279 units. This was a 17.51% YoY and 6.72% MoM decline. Suzuki’s YoY sales also fell by 4.55% to 96,029 units last month from 1,00,602 units, though it experienced a healthy 29.88% MoM growth. Royal Enfield at No. 6 on this list, accounted for sales of 76,254 units in July 2025, up by 24.58% over 61,208 units sold in the same month last year even as it witnessed a marginal MoM decline by 0.91%.
      2W Exports July 2025
      In global markets, strong sales were seen for each of these 6 leading two wheeler makers. Exports improved by 32.93% YoY to 4,02,805 units from 3,03,010 units while MoM shipments were higher by 12.86% from 3,56,908 units shipped in June 2025. Every two wheeler OEM saw its exports improve on a YoY basis while Suzuki and Royal Enfield witnessed a MoM de-growth.
      2W Sales July 2025 – Exports YoY
      Bajaj Auto had the highest exports at 1,56,968 units last month, a 21.97% YoY and 5.32% MoM growth. The company had 1,28,694 units shipped in July 2024 while in June 2025 exports had stood at 1,49,167 units. TVS Motor exports too rose significantly. It saw double digit growth of 52.26% YoY to 1,30,070 units while its MoM exports were up 24.25%.
      At No.3 on the export charts was Honda with 49,047 units shipped last month, marking an 11.52% YoY and 21.60% MoM growth. Hero MotoCorp, Honda’s arch rival, in domestic markets also saw lower exports in July 2025 as compared to that of Honda even as it saw a YoY and MoM growth.
      2W Sales July 2025 – Exports MoM
      Hero exports were up 64.29% to 37,358 units in July 2025 from 22,739 units shipped in the same month last year while it saw a 29.59% MoM growth over 28,827 unit exports in June 2025. Suzuki (17,571 units) and Royal Enfield (11,791 units) each saw YoY growth at 9.06% and 94.67% respectively while its MoM export figures declined.
      2W Total Sales (Domestic + Exports July 2025
      Taking into account both domestic sales and exports, there were 19,01,815 units sold last month. This was a 13.57% growth from 16,74,570 units sold in July 2024 and a 2.69% increase from 18,52,076 units sold in June 2025.
      2W Sales July 2025 – Total YoY
      Honda accounted for 5,15,378 units, including both domestic and exports. This was a 6.68% YoY and 20.09% MoM growth. Hero MotoCorp sold a total of 4,49,755 units, a 21.47% YoY growth but an 18.81% MoM decline. There had been 3,70,274 units sold in July 2025 and 5,53,963 units sold in June 2025.
      2W Sales July 2025 – Total MoM
      Posting both YoY and MoM growth was TVS Motor with total sales of 4,38,790 units. Bajaj Auto had 2,96,247 units sold both in domestic and export markets last month suffering a slight YoY and MoM decline. Suzuki and Royal Enfield featured at Nos. 5 and 6 on this list with 1,13,600 units and 88,045 units sold respectively. More

      Overall look and feel seems quite familiar to the R 1300 GS, BMW’s flagship ADV bike. BMW F 450 GS has a striking road presence, with features such as an integrated front beak, USD forks in golden finish, a large windscreen, hand guards and sculpted fuel tank. As compared to the concept that had a high-mounted side exhaust, the near-production version uses a standard upswept exhaust.

      A robust bash plate can be seen, which is likely to be metallic. BMW F 450 GS will be capable of handling light to moderate off-road tracks. A metallic bash plate will provide better protection in comparison to units made from plastic or composite materials.       BMW F 450 GS has a split seat design and comfortable riding stance. It’s made possible with the raised handlebar design and mid-set footpegs. Power output is expected around 47 bhp, which will meet the requirements of A2 license category across Europe. As power to weight ratio of 0.27 bhp/kg is also predefined for A2 license category, the BMW F 450 GS could weigh close to 175 kg.

      Comparing performance with rival offerings, the KTM 390 Adventure utilizes a 398.63?cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine. It generates 46 PS and 39 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is powered by a 452 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine. It generates 40.02 PS and 40 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed transmission.

      With a strategic partnership with Bajaj Auto, Triumph Motorcycles is keen on launching their 4th product based on the popular Speed 400. After Speed 400, Scrambler 400X and Speed T4, Triumph Bajaj duo is launching the Thruxton 400 in India on 6th August 2025, and might be slotted as the most expensive product in the 400cc lineup.
      Ahead of 6th August launch, units have started to arrive at dealerships and give us a good look at what to expect from this motorcycle. As seen in these recent spy shots from dealerships, it is vastly based on the Speed 400, but has subtle changes in small things and one big change in the form of its overall styling.

      Componentry is on the premium side with USD telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock, front and rear disc brake setup with dual channel ABS, 17-inch alloy wheels with what looks like similar sized tyres as Speed 400 and the same semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue tachometer which many still love.

      Powertrain setup is likely to be carried over from Speed 400 unchanged. However, Triumph might introduce a new tune with Thruxton 400 to establish a unique character to suit its Cafe Racer styling. In Speed 400, this 398.15cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC 4V/cyl engine generates 39.5 bhp of peak power and 37.5 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
